Getting this message what to do

Whenever I open itunes now i get this message:
the registry settings used by the itunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall itunes.
When importing a CD however everything is still working? Do I need to reinstall Itunes or not bother? please help.
Thanks

I get this message, too. To be precise: Every time I start iTunes it stops at a dialog titled "iTunes Setup Assistant" and which reads "The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes."
I have no need to solve iTune's problem. I just want iTunes to OPEN WHEN I TELL IT TO OPEN.
Anyone know how can I disable the startup-time check?
Thanks for any guidance.
Jeff
