Getting tld file in servlet.

hi all,
now we cannot declare alias for tag lib tld in web.xml.so server will take tld from jar file which is there lib.
i want access these tld file in servlet. can any body tell how to get it.
thanks in advance...

You could also use jsp, which provides you with JAVA functionality, however, omitting the printing. Here's an example:
<%@ page contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-5" %>
<%
     String name = request.getParameter("name");
%>
<html>
<header>
</header>
<body>
<p><%=name %></p>
</body>
</html>

    Hi,
    You can use HTTPServletRequest object to get the XML payload.
    BufferedReader reader = request.getReader(); //gets XML payload
    String line = reader.readLine(); // to read the XML payload line by line
    (request is the HTTPServletRequest object)

    But not the main problem is this code is working on my PC. But when i executed this code at my institute's PC it shows me error that cannot find symbol for this line.
    import javax.servlet.http.Part;In my institute we have Netbeans 5.5.1 and tomcat server or sun app server.
    On my PC I have Netbeans 6.9.1 and Glassfish server.
    So what can be the problem?
    Is it a problem of server or just servlet's jar file???

  • How to get and display image file through servlet

    If I've got a jpg file on the server..
    How can I use servlet to return that image via the following calling method
    /displayfile?filename=image.jpg
    the image.jpg in the server will return
    I know that I need to set the content type to image/jpeg
    after that, how can I return the image file to browser?

    - Get the "file" Parameter from the URL QueryString
    - check if the File specified exists on your filesystem
    - read in the jpg from the file (best would be binary)
    - set the right Mime Type (as you already wrote)
    - write the filecontent to the ServletOutput as you would do with any other content
    - that's it.

  • How to get javabean data in Servlets.( JavaBean -- Servlet(Controller)

    how to get javabean data in Servlets.
    1) I am using name ,password in Jsp(View )
    2) when I submit this Bean will be called and Setter methods will be called .
    3) In ServletController (controller) I want to get data of javabean.
    In this I have to do validation of user.
    I want to pass the javabean obj as like -->
    request.getAttribute("beanObj");
    My intention is to get all the poperties in javabean by passing bean id
    or beanobj ,
    Is there any way to get all the data using bean id or beanObj.
    Plz Reply,

    Now in the Servlet we can get the same bean by this code:
    PageContext pageContext = JspFactoryImpl.getDefaultFactory().getPageContext(this, request, response, null, true, 8192, true);
    UserBean userbean = (UserBean)pageContext.getAttribute("userbean", PageContext.SESSION_SCOPE);
    String userid = userbean.getUsername();
    For this code to work it is needed to import 2 files:
    import org.apache.jasper.runtime.JspFactoryImpl;
    import javax.servlet.jsp.PageContext;
    The JspFactoryImpl is in jasper-runtime.jar file provided in tomcat dir.It seems to me that you are exactly knowing what you are doing :-(
    You can get a Bean stored in a Session by
    request.getSession().getAttribute("userbean");
    In the login.jsp page for example we have the code
    <jsp:useBean id="userbean" scope="session"class="com.newproj.UserBean" />
    <jsp:setProperty name="userbean" property="*" />the jsp:setProperty is not called when you click on the submit button
    if fills the bean with the request values from the previous request.

    Error 64 is being returned which is simply "the network name is no longer available".
    There can be a number of reasons for this from SMB compatibility issues (2003 servers wont support SMB2), to the expected and actual computer name of the boxes don't match (tries to authenticate with server.tld.com when the actual name is srv-01.tld.com and
    you just put a C-name in). I'd start from the top:  Try opening said share from the Primary Site server as that's the box doing the work.  Verify the IP and computer name is legit and that no one has played ACL games between the two systems (remember
    RPC only initiates/listens on port 135 but established connections are up in the dynamic port range).
    At the end of the day it's an issues "underneath" SCCM, and not an SCCM problem specifically.

  • HELP! File Upload Servlet and Internet Explorer

    Hello people. I hope this is an easy problem to solve...
    I have a servlet upload program that works using Mozilla browser (www.mozilla.org), but for some reason it doesn't work using Microsoft IE. The servlet is also using the servlet upload API from Apache (commons).
    I'm using IE version 6.0.2800.1106 in a Win98SE host computer. I get a cannot find path specified error message (see below). At work, I also get the same error message using IE, but don't know what version. The OS is XP. Unfortunately, at work, I can't install Mozilla browser (or any software-company policy) to see if Mozilla works there too. I would've like to have tested to see if the upload program worked on Mozilla on a truly remote computer.
    So I figured, it must be a IE configuration issue, but darn it!! I began by resetting IE to default settings, but still have the problem, I played around with several different combinations of settings in "Tools"-->"Internet Options...", and I still get the error message. Someone PLEASE HELP ME!!!
    Dunno, if it will help, I've also pasted the upload servlet source code below and the html file that's calling the upload servlet, but you still need the Apache commons file upload API.
    Trust me on this one folks, for some reason it works for Mozilla, but not for IE. With IE, I can at least access web server, and therefore, the html file that calls the upload servlet , so I don't think it's a Tomcat configuration issue (version 5.0). I actually got the code for the file upload servlet from a book relatively new in the market (printed in 2003), and it didn't mention any limitations as far as what browser to use or any browser configuration requirements. I have e-mailed the authors, but they probably get a ton of e-mails...
    Anyone suggestions?
    Meanwhile, I will try to install other free browsers and see if the file upload program works for them too.

    I'm guessing what is happening is that Mozilla tells the servlet "here comes the file myfile.zip". The servlet builds a file name for it:
        String path = sc.getRealPath("/files");
        // path is now C:\TOMCAT\webapps\MyWebApps\files\
        fi.write(new File(path, fi.getName()));
        // append myfile.zip to "path", making it C:\TOMCAT\webapps\MyWebApps\files\myfile.zipIE, however, tells "here comes the file C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\myfile.zip". Now imagine what the path+filename ends up being...
    So what you want to do is something along the lines of (assuming Windoze):
    public static String basename(String filename)
        int slash = filename.lastIndexOf("\\");
        if (slash != -1)
            filename = filename.substring(slash + 1);
        // I think Windows doesn't like /'s either
        int slash = filename.lastIndexOf("/");
        if (slash != -1)
            filename = filename.substring(slash + 1);
        // In case the name is C:foo.txt
        int slash = filename.lastIndexOf(":");
        if (slash != -1)
            filename = filename.substring(slash + 1);
        return filename;
        fi.write(new File(path, basename(fi.getName()));
        ....You can make the file name check more bomb proof if security is an issue. Long file names trying to overflow something in the OS, NUL characters, Unicode, forbidden names in Windos (con, nul, ...), missing file name, ...

  • How to install the struts-el jar and tld file

    How can i install/configure the struts-el jar and struts-logic-el.tld. When I tried with the related sites, i couldn't get any jar files for struts-el tag.
    I got only 404 status error.
    From where and how to get the jar file and tld file for the struts-el tag .Please refer me

    The jar file is part of the download of struts.
    its in the /contrib/lib directory
    You should need struts, jstl plus the struts-el jar files.
    The tld files should not be necessary - just use the standard URIs for them.
    eg http://struts.apache.org/tags-logic-el
