Getting Warning about Redirection url

Hi,
we have the the portal application running on the weblogic 11g and upon login, home page of our app is loaded, but I do see the following warning message on the portal server logs. Any idea how we can supress this warning?
<Warning> <netuix> <BEA-423420> <Redirect is executed in begin or refresh action. Redirect url is https://<servername>.arccorp.com:443/PortalApp/ARCGateway.portal?_nfpb=true&_st=&_pageLabel=ARC_Home&_nfls=false

Hi Sravi,
I am not sure if this is your situation or not, but hopefully it could be helpful for you.
It is not supported for a remote pageflow portlet (WSRP producer) to redirect from its pageflow begin or refresh action. Because of this limitation, WebLogic Portal logs a warning when any portlet's pageflow attempts to redirect from either of these two actions.
It is legal to redirect from these actions if the portlet is not a WSRP producer. If this is the case, Oracle has added a utility method that can be called prior to the redirect which can suppress these warning messages:
- Class: com.bea.netuix.servlets.controls.content.PageflowLoggingHelper
- Method: public static void dontLogRedirectWarning(HttpServletRequest req)
Calling this method from the pageflow's begin or refresh action prior to the redirect will suppress the Netuix redirect warnings.

I didn't say the price was necessarily a drawback; just thought I'd throw my two cents in if the OP didn't want to purchase more software (as he/she alluded to in the first post). Even if it's a small cost (in your opinion), the OP said they didn't want to spend any more money. I didn't think about buying it on ebay; but that's a good idea. Just keep in mind that the Parallels free phone support is only good for the first few months after purchasing a new copy, so if you're buying a used copy, you won't get free phone tech support. I think they have per-incident support once the free period is over, though. And they probably have forums you can use to troubleshoot any issues.
Parallels can also cause a slow/laggy OS, which could be seen as a drawback. Of course, you could always purchase more RAM if the computer does lag, but there's another cost. I'm sure it doesn't happen to everyone, but it can happen, that I've seen. Especially if the computer you install it on is an older one that barely meets the Lion system requirements to begin with.
I agree with you; I purchase hardware and software for the future. If my new iMac won't run software from 2004-2008, I guess I'm upgrading. I understand when people don't want to upgrade, but after so many years, it's not really a choice.
I prefer the dual-boot method; it's cleaner (in my experience) than a virtual machine software program, and causes fewer issues with the main OS installation. It's really just preference, though. The OP can try both ways and decide which is preferable for him/her.
What I posted was (as I said in my first post) just my suggestion. I wasn't trying to override what you said about Parallels being the answer; just adding a new answer that I didn't yet see in this thread, in case the OP wanted an alternative. Maybe I mis-read the defensive attitude in your post, and if so, I apologize. But you seemed to be defending something that I wasn't truly even attacking to begin with. I feel that the best choices are the most informed ones, and with more options, the OP can find the best answer for him/her.

If something goes wrong, you need a 2nd drive for backup - and to boot from.
BC does not support more than one HFS+ volume.
Are there ways around it? well, people have done triple boot (linux, OS X, Windows).

Why Do I Get Warning About "Stray Files?"

Hey, I’m just teaching myself iMovie (day 2) and I’m wondering why after I have saved a short “project” with only a few clips and transitions when I go to open it again a window pops up informing me that several clips where found in the trash? The actual message reads, “Some stray files were found in the project. Files that iMovie can understand are in the iMovie’s Trash. Any other files have been moved into the Finder’s Trash. Would you like to view iMovie’s Trash content’s now?” And I get two choices, “Don’t View Trash” & “View Trash” So I panic because I don’t want to render the project un-viewable and I drag whatever clips were in the trash BACK into my Clips Pane. Usually they are clips that were previously arranged and seem to be in my Clips Viewer with transitions in place and effects and everything! So they are in the trash AND in the viewer?? I don’t get it! After I rescue these “stray files” and click “save project” again the problem seems to be solved. I’m confused and I don’t trust my solution. Please tell me what I’m doing wrong and how I can avoid this in the future. Thanks!

external hard disk which is DOS/UNIX formatted and the icon is store here or
on it's "desktop". Desktop is a strange place to store things on IF one has
several other disks + USB-memories etc.
Running: Repair Permissions is not something one does when the Mac collapses
but every time one installs new softwares.
first: a Repair Permissons run before installing
then: install eg iLife
finish with: a Repair Permissons run
This is to keep the Mac up and running. A habit several of us in this forum has

First localize - iMovie pref files.

If this is hard - try to <cmd-F> and search for ".plist" and You find them
in the search list.

In CQ5 5.5.0, About Redirect URL

Recently I had the change-over from former developer to CMS and develope the home page.
Anyway, I used to vanity URL in CQ5 Author tool for changing URL more efficiently and shorterly such as
before http://geometrixx/content/en
after http://geometrixx/en
And then, QA test server had not problem, but in live server occured a diffrent situation.
If I added vanity URL to middle page such as
Original page URL : http://geometrixx/content/en/item.html
Vanity URL : http://geometrixx/content/en/item.html

Portal Logoff redirection URL

Hi,
I want to redirect the URL to another page from the default log on page when the user logs off. I know we can change it in ume.logoff.redirect.url and give the desired URL. But the problem is we have two different sites and each sites should return to different screens once the logoff is clicked. So the URL cannot be maintained in this property. We have two mastheads for both this sites.
I tried to figure it out in the code. The URL to be mentioned is present in logOutComponent which is part of the jar file which comes with masthead. I cant change the desired URL in that component. Where can i change the URL to get the desired result?

As you can see this module just gets the property "ume.logoff.redirect.url", does an adittional check and then gives back this url..
Not that fancy..
My suggestion to you would be to edit the portalapp.xml, look for the component "default" and extend it with an additional component property called "MyCustomLogOffURL" for example. To do this just copy the allready excisting "Help URL" property and rename.
Example:

Adding this property here makes you set it seperately for both the masterheads you use, because you can just set it in the Property editor of the PCD

To do that add the following initialisation at the beging of the jsp file:

I get a warning about using an old version even after installing v24.

Several websites (including Mozilla) give me a warning about using an old version. I'm currently on v24 and when I take the advice to upgrade it simply re-installs v24 again but the out of date message doesn't go away!

In the web.xml version 2.4 the taglib tags should be nested inside a

Printable Page - Warn About Changes issue

I am implementing Printable Page functionality by giving TargetFrame = _blank. And also I am setting Warn About Changes property to True. (pageLayoutRN's WarnAboutChanges is also set to True)
But after making some changes in the page and If I click the Printable Page button, the Save Model warning is not coming.
Any solution ?

# Selecting an image which does not post your changes. For example, selecting an LOV icon or a long tip window will not trigger the save model warning. However, if the user selects on an image that navigates to Yahoo, for example, the warning is displayed.
# Selecting a link that performs a form submit and has the Warn About Changes property set to True.

I have configured SAML for SSO for the destination site and it works fine for the page configured as Source Site Redirect URI. Attempt to access any other resource in the web application gives an error as : SAMLServletAuthenticationFilter: Ignoring request not on consumer URL or redirect URL.

I am currently not passing any group information in the SAML Assertion. I haven't tried SAML 2. I found this in one of the FAQs for UCM SSO 'only SAML v1.1 based SSO solution is certified to work with UCM 11.1.1.4'. Using SAML v1.1 if you want to use the groups information you have to configure the 'Enable Virtual users' option in the SAML Destination Site. Also, you need to configure the SAML Authentication Provider along with the SAML Identity Assertion Provider.

How to get SSO userid to URL-based app?

I'm developing a web-app using Struts that will be accessed by Portal (I guess as a URL-based app). The web-app will not require login. The web-app will not be Portal "aware", except that it requires the SSO userid for auditing/logging purposes.
I know little about Portal and SSO. How can Portal be configured to send the Portal userid of the logged-in Portal user? Can it send it as a parameter in a GET or POST?
The version of Portal will be 9.0.2 (or greater).
