GetURL() to an anchornamed link in frameset
Hi, I have a big trouble...
I have a frameset with two frames (_top and _main)
I have a swf inside a _top frame
I have anchornamed links inside _main frame
The question is: How I can jump to an especific anchorednamed
link in _main frame?
I know you can specify the htm file and destination frame
with getURL parameters...
but in htm the link would look like:
http://mypage.html#anchorname
to go to an specific place into an html file...
Do I myself clear?
Thanx to all who can help me.
Moved to DPS forum.
You cannot link to a specific state of an MSO from a different page.

I have got a JSP working as controller/dispatcher, a frameset with 3 frames (Header,Nav,Text).
Now i have some links in the Text - Frame with a code for a page. I want these links send to the controller jsp which has to rebuild the frameset and inserts dynamic the location of the page got by the link.
It works fine, only with every link the frameset is set in my text - frame so i always get another header and nav. I tried it with target="_top" but it doesn't work.
Can anybody help me?
thanxplease...
can you put some of your code to have an idea?? -
GetURL() IE iFrame Bug
I have a flash movie inside an iFrame (I know how bad that
is, but I have no other options) and 99% of the time everything
works fine in IE... However, every once in a while anything using
getURL() to open a link will stop working in IE. Everything that
does not use getURL to open a link or perform a function works
fine. This only happens in IE and when I test the page I'm pulling
into the iFrame by itself the getURL() items work fine... It only
ever stops working inside the iFrame in IE. Anyone know what causes
this problem and/or how to prevent it from occurring?
Thanks!I am having the same problem! It is driving me nuts.. to add
insult to injury I have been trying to get this very elegant (going
against the design nazi's) grain horizontal scroll bar to work with
Javascript but gave up and redesigned in flash thinking of course
this was a sure thing! WORKs awesome with every browser but frames
IE...works in IE no frames..but in frames..refuses to work
Exact same issue, very sad! -

Call method http_client - request - set_header_field
Hi all,
i am passing NAME & VALUE as two export parameter for the below method.
here , what i should pass to VALUE parameter. is it a URL?
what is the meaning of '_/airport.asmx'_ in VALUE parameter.
call method http_client ->request ->set_header_field
exporting
name = '~request_uri'
value = '/airport.asmx'.
Regards
pabiPOST
Pages generated by an HTTP POST operation are always cached. The Web browser uses POST operations whenever an HTML FORM statement specifies METHOD="POST" .
GET
Pages generated by GET operations are never cached because the Internet Transaction Server (ITS) explicitly sets a no-cache option in the HTTP header when the page is sent to the Web browser. It does not matter what caching options are set in the Web browser. The Web browser uses GET operations for hypertext links and FRAMESET documents.

Dynamic variable name generation
Hi people,
Is there any way of generating variable names dynamically in java in a loop? i.e.
for(int i = 0; i<arrayLength; i++) {
ArrayX.add(position, object)
X++
Where X is 0,1,2...etc. so i would have Array1 with something in it, Array2 with something in it, Array3 and so on.
This is just a simple example but I've basically got an initial array of URL objects and then I want to call my getURL method on each link in my inital array and store the links associated to each initial URL in a different Array.
Hope it makes sense, and i hope someone can help!
Thanks in advance.Your example code is not clear to me (what is "position?"), and your description using URLs doesn't seem to need what you are asking for. I would be careful about using arrays - people sometimes use arrays when classes should be used.
Anyway, I think you can get close to what you want by using a HashMap. You can use Strings as keys and the Strings would be "array01" "array02" etc. -
Problems getting elements to work in a txt file within Flash.
Hello! I'm working on my band's new website and have been
searching many hours for answers to some problems I'm having with
txt files referenced as HTML in Flash.
Our site is
http://moumusic.com.
One of the problems is having an image as a link. For
instance, I have a photo and try to link a website to it:
quote:
<a href="
http://cdbaby.com/cd/motuniverse"
target="_blank"><img src="images/cdbaby.gif" width="100"
height="100"></a>
It works when loaded as an HTML file, but not when viewed in
the Flash site. The text file for this is at
http://moumusic.com/moualbum.txt.
The page comes up when you click the "MoU's First CD" link on
moumusic.com.
Next, I can't link to external media files. For instance, I
tried inserting the code:
quote:
<a href="
http://fusco-moore.com/videos/SongforCliff-2.wmv">Song
for Cliff Video Part 2</a>
. You can click the text (while viewing it as
part of the Flash site), but nothing happens. You can even copy the
shortcut, but you can't use the link properly.
Last, I want to put a PayPal Buy It Now button on one of the
pages. The link is pretty long:
quote:
<a
href="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_xclick&business=producer%40wcjm%2ecom&it em_name=%22Masters%20of%20the%20Universe%22%20CD%20by%20MoU&amount=10%2e00&no_shipping=2&n o_note=1¤cy_code=USD&lc=US&bn=PP%2dBuyNowBF&charset=UTF%2d8">Buy
Now!</a>
. I heard that there's a 128 character limit for
links in Flash. Is there any way around this?
What about forms? PayPal has the option of doing a form for a
shopping cart. Flash won't even begin to recognize it when I just
drop the form code in there.
Well, thanks for the help in advance- hopefully this stuff
can be accomplished!
JimI assume you are using the Flash TextField object set to
render html.
First to understand is that the extent of html recognized is
limited and by
player version. That means you cannot use any HTML tag you
wish.
See
http://livedocs.macromedia.com/flash/8/main/00001459.html
for the
supported list in Flash Player 8
You might check "About making hypertext links out of embedded
media " as
well:
http://livedocs.macromedia.com/flash/8/main/00001477.html
Malformed html in a TextField can render any tag in the field
non
functional. Be sure the html in the TextField is validated.
I would assume the anchor tag in Flash text field would
follow the same
rules an anchor tag in HTML as to length of the query string.
Finally consider using Flash with a button and getURL for the
PayPal link.

Holly...JTree rendering problem
okay guy, everything is done as what i post many many forum, then finally done except!!!
except i still want my node (may be at the child or leaf level) to be able to response to my MouseEntered event (or may be other evet). another thing is that why isn't my JLabel or JTextPane get the hyperlink (i do implement the interface) show up instead of the entire hyperlink address in the JLabel (i try to clearify at the example code down there)?
class TreeTextArea extends JEditorPane implements MouseListener, HyperlinkListener {

lblSeqHyperlink.addHyperlinkListener(this);

int curType = Cursor.HAND_CURSOR;

Desktop wallpaper published to HTML in Flash
How do I change the alignment of the published html file on
my Desktop when displaying on single monitor?
I created a 1024 x 768 image in Photoshop; saved it as PNG
file and imported it in Flash 8. I added a few buttons to it and
published the file in SWF and HTML so that I could use the HTML
file as my Desktop background. The published file size is also 1024
x 768. When I apply the HTML file as my desktop background, the
image on the desktop is pushed down and right leaving a 1/4" border
at the top and left side of the screen, cutting off the bottom and
right side of the image. However, when I publish the file in
animated GIF or just set the PNG image as my Desktop background,
they align correctly on the Desktop. I only experience this issue
when publishing to HTML from Flash. When I extend my Desktop to
dual monitors, the HTML wallpaper is aligned properly on the left
monitor (does not extend to the monitor on the right).Just searched and found the answer by orangetractor.
The getURL command works, but not offline. Upload files to
server and test; it works then.
getURL("pagename.html#anchorname");
anyone else think its weired that it will work online and not
off? -

Replace movie with Jpeg at end
Hello,
I have a simple flash movie on a webpage.
At the the end of the movie, I would like the player to disappear and be replaced by an image.
As an example, imagine clicking play and watching a movie about Disney, then when the movie ends the player is replaced by an image which is a coupon to use at Disney.
Any ideas or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time,
Timeither place the image and link in flash or use getURL() or navigateToURL() to link to an html page with your image/link.

I'm a designer so be kind.
I read about security issues in using GetURL. Is this only with javascript? If I use the getURL to open a blank window where all the HTML and swf are on the same server are those pages and swfs safe from injection, etc? I'm working in Flash 8 with AS 2.0.
Thanks,
Yogi1. i know of no injection attacks that exploit getURL or regular html links. but i suppose anything is possible.
2. no
3. never heard of that.
4. poor implementations of javascript have long been susceptible to exploitation. but i don't know what you mean by "the" javascript method.
in summary, there's nothing special that you need to do to secure a swf that uses getURL(). security precautions should be used (in the executable script) when calling executable script outside flash (like in javascript, php, asp etc). -
Window Order with Fullscreen Projector file
For Actionscript 2.0
I have a projector exe which is invoked full screen.
In the exe I have a button which invokes a URL using the
getURL command. This link gets invoked in the browser window in the
background and since the projector exe is playing fullscreen I dont
see the browser.
I am looking for a way to invoke this url so that it gets
invoked on top of this window(in front of this window in terms of
window order). see code below...
this.createEmptyMovieClip("loader_mc",
this.getNextHighestDepth());
fscommand("fullscreen",true);
loader_mc.getURL("
http://www.macromedia.com",
"_blank");
The
is tickingYes this is possible by using third pary tools.
Read this and look at the example provided.

Linking to a framed page in a frameset
Hi, I'm trying to create a hyperlink from my home page to a
frame page within a frameset. The only way I can create a link thus
far is by creating the hyperlink on another frame page within the
same frameset. Here's the url to access the frameset.
http://www.goodkindesign.com/witkin-architects/gallery.html
Once there, click on "Religious" in the drop down side bar
menu, and "Congregation Beth Am" in the submenu. This is the page I
want the link from the home page to go to. I want this page
("Congregation Beth Am") to appear in the browser within the
frameset, and not as an isolated frame page.On Thu, 13 Sep 2007 20:23:34 +0000 (UTC), "sandiegoman"

Your frames already names, just target them in your links.
I think these are the ones:
<frame src="gallery-navigation.html" name="leftFrame"
frameborder="no" scrolling="auto" noresize > (I would
quote "noresize"
and lose that space after it)
<frame src="projectintro.html" name="gallery"
scrolling="auto"
noresize marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" id="gallery">
So over on the left, the link to wyman.html would be
<a href="wyman.html" target="gallery">
You could also add a base target to gallery-navigation.html:
<base target="gallery">
