GetVariableData is not a literal expression

I have a problem that I can't use the getVariableData(elementvar,xpathexpression) function if I use the 2 argument function of the getVariableData.
I read the forum issue already that there is a know issue that if you use the 2 argument function of getVariableData it is always taking the form of getVariableData(messagevar, messagepart). In this forum issue they say that you should use the 3 argument function, so including the part.
But the problem is that I don't have a part, because I am using elements in most of the cases.
Can anyone help me out?

I assume you are using an assign activity. When you click the second tab to copy rules and click new copy rule you are presented with a screen with two halves. The left side is what is copied from and the right is what is copied to.
Now select expression from the select box on the left hand side. You will now notice near the select box a button. Hover your mouse over to it and it says "Expression builder", click that.
Now you are presented with a GUI interface to build your expressions.
Refer to the BPEL tutorials and samples for more information. It is quite helpful especially at the start when picking BPEL up.

Can not Authenticate WLSE Express with Active Directory

I can not authenticate WLSE Express using external database with AD. I have downloaded the agent to the Domain Controller and install it on AD.
At WLSE Express I found log

Why does Airport Utility not support Airport Express A1084?

Airport Utility 1.3.4 (134.22) on my iPad (iOS 8.1.2 (12B440)) and the version of Airport Utility included with the very latest issued version of OSX on my iMac do not recognize Airport Express model A1084. I can still get on the internet via the AE A1084. Because I cannot configure the AE A1084 I am unable to set password protection on the wifi network or perform other functions.
Is there a fix or work around?
Has Apple abandoned these older AE's (programmed obsolescence), meaning I'll have to buy a new device?
Safari on the iPad has been having problems with web sites, dropping and reloading them - attempts to fix that by resetting network settings resulted in losing access to the AE wifi network. The Airport Express network appears in the "Set up new Airport Base Station" window, but attempts to access it produce the message "The Airport Express named "Apple Network XXXX" cannot be set up by this software."

That is a complex question, and would assume that you had Snow Leopard on the Mac at one time. Best to post your question in the support forum for the operating system that you are using now. Click the link and select your current operating system.

Doing something like this not for the faint of heart, and should be best left to an IT technician. That is going to be a significant expense.
For far less money, and many less headaches trying to revert to an earlier operating system, and knowing that most Express devices only lasted about 5 years, on average, if it were me, I would buy a new Express device or devices and be thrilled that I got about twice as much use as normal from the older A1084 model.

8830 & Desktop Manager does not recognize Outlook Express 2000, cannot sync

I just installed Desktop Manager 5.0 and connected to my BB 8830. I use Outlook Express 2000 for calendar and I want to sync it with my BB 8330. However, in Desktop Manager under Sync / Config / Select Device for calendar, the only choices are Yahoo and Import/Export Text. Obviously it is not recognizing Outlook Express 2000 as a calendar program. Does anyone have a solution?
I bought this 8830 mainly to sync its calendar with my Outlook Express calendar. If it does not work, then I am going to return it to my cell phone carrier.

Outlook 2000 has not been supported since Desktop Manager 4.2.
KB14763 Unable to select Microsoft Outlook 2000 from the list of applications for synchronization
I would check on Outlook 2003, still supported by MS and the cheapest version still available.

guys getting an error with a simple query. help me out please.
the query is:
select DISTINCT(product_code ||' ' || subproduct_code ||' '|| position_number) from alm_owner.wrr_recon_source order by product_code, subproduct_code, position_number;
Error report:

Bug typedef does not connect to expression node

Attached is a simple vi that tries to connect a typedef (in this case a double) to an expression node.
Since LV8 this is not allowed anymore.
We choose LabVIEW because it was possible to use it as a strict typed language. (one of the reasons).
We see that the developers go a long way to make the language so easy that it is too strict to allow typedefinitions to an expression node.
But it can also be a slip of the compiler of course.
attached are the example vi and the typedef.
please supply a patch because this makes it impossible for us to switch to LV8

A workaround is easy but should not be necessary because the typedef is used to keep it a typedef.
Simply use an explicit type conversion in this case to [DBL], at least that was my guess....
but an explicit conversion already knows there is nothing to do so it does not help.
A typecast helps but sure that is not what I want, see picture below.

OSB insert in not evaluating the expression

I am using insert in the proxy service of OSB and and my expression is like this:
Expression : <fcs:appId>$body/*/appId/node()</fcs:appId>
My problem is that it's not evaluating the expression. It's inserting this as text ($body/*/appId/node()).
Any idea, why?

I assume you want to get the value of the tag appid, then the correct expression is <fcs:appId>{$body/*/appId/text()}</fcs:appId>
In case there is namespace defined with your xml tag then you should be using it as <fcs:appId>{$body/*/*:appId/text()}</fcs:appId>

I_len = strlen( T_UPLOAD_MOVEMENT-DOCRE ).
I_len1 = I_len - 3.
sort T_UPLOAD_MOVEMENT by DOCRE+I_len1(3).
when execute n save : got this error " offset specification "+I_len1" is not numeric literal or a numeric constant...
any wrong for my coding ?

ORA-01791: not a SELECTed expression - Order by

Hi,
Below query is executing in one system (database version 10.2 64 bit) without any error.
select distinct CONTRACTOR_ID,CONTRACTOR_NAME from CONTRACTOR order by REGISTRATION_NO
But same query is not working in other system (database version 10.2 32-bit). It throws ORA-01791: not a SELECTed expression error.
Please clarify why it is working in one system and not working in other system

Does the CONTRACTOR table have it's keys defined in both databases?
Oracle can decide to not do the DISTINCT (and thus allow such ORDER BY), in case it is aware of some key-column being selected. Take a look at this, same query, one works, one doesn't due to absence of primary key:
SQL> create table myemp(empno number not null primary key, job varchar2(10))

ITunes 10 does not see Airport Express because port 3689 is unavailable

I never had problems with iTunes 9 and Airport Express, but since iTunes 10 the following problem occurs regularly: iTunes starts, but does not "see" Airport Express (AE) as an external speaker. Sometimes it also loses connection after Windows hibernate mode, but that might be another issue.
What I found out is that it is NOT a firewall issue, otherwise it would not work once in a while. What I saw, though, is that TCP port 3689 is sometimes stolen by other apps like Mozilla Thunderbird (TB). I.e. if Thunderbird is started BEFORE iTunes, it might use 3689 as a listening socket. iTunes then cannot see AE until I shut down TB and restart iTunes. This is very annoying and I only found out after many weeks when watching TCP live connections in my personal firewall software.
Two questions arise:
1) If listening port 3689 is unavailable, why does iTunes not show any error message? There is absolutely no indication as to why it does not find the external AE loudspeaker. BTW, the AE config programm can connect to the hardware easily.
2) Even if port 3689 is blocked by another application, Airfoil for Windows works flawlessly with my AE. I can even tunnel iTunes through Airfoil and then listen to music in my living room, even though iTunes does not see AE. Why can a 3rd party program do something which iTunes can't?
There must be a way to smarten up iTunes and fix this annoying bug.

I am running 10.6.8 and airfoil does not see airport express liek it used to. I am using an older version of airfoil. Any one have any suggestions so I can get my music to work through my home speakers again?

Having a similar problem. iTunes 6.0.2 "sees" the Airport Express but cannot select the speakers associated with the Airport. iTunes 6.0.1 works on a Mac Mini with the same Express. Tried to re-load the system from the CDs but iTunes 6.0.2 still on

Image not uploading to Express Editor

Hello,
I have a high resolution scan of an old glass negative image that I just uploaded to PS.
I need to do some editing/cleaning however when I click on the express editor, the image selected does not appear. I only get a white blank and no image. The original scan is at 5800dpi.
Why cant I get the Image to appear in the Express Editor?
