By the term "Use JavaScript", do you mean how to include JavaScript functions on your page(s) or are you looking for help in what JavaScript can be used for and how to add onclick, onchange events to form elements?
If it is the former, there are several ways to include JavaScript onto your pages:
1. Edit your page in the APEX Builder and place the normal syntax into the HTML Header Section i.e
<script language="JavaScript">
function hellWorld()
alert ("Hello World");

How to learn java script in indesign

Dear Sir,
I am a template designer, I am interesting on Indesign scripting but I don't know basic knowledge in software languages. So Please help me which languages i should learn for indesign scripting. (some of them saying C language is must). Is c language is essential or Shall i go directly with java script. And also i want Beginners indesign scripting guide (not advanced) and give me some tips how should i develop skills in a short period. Please advice me.

What we call here "InDesign JavaScript" (DOM+language) is syntactically based on Adobe ExtendScript, which derives from E4X (ECMAScript for XML) and ECMAScript itself. (JavaScript is known as an implementation of the ECMAScript standard.)
In short terms, "InDesign JS" as a language should somewhat implement the ECMAScript and E4X specifications, i.e. ECMA-262 and ECMA-357:

It is true that the JavaScript's syntax and conventions contain familiar echoes from C or even Java, but these languages are definitely different on the semantic level and I really don't believe it's a good idea to learn C before learning JS.

The OP stated that there is no condition on the process. In this case, I believe only 'SUBMIT' will cause the process to be fired.
"you can put anything in the string of the doSubmit."Well, you can do that, but it will have an effect only if you are using the REQUEST variable to condition a process. Otherwise, nothing will happen, and you want even receive an error message, because no error actually exist (as I believe happened with the OP case).

You can do this through .NET interface, it is very complicated.
Google : .NET DLR javascript
You can call .NET methods from labview and there is an existing DLR implementation of javascript. The least to vapour is IronJS.
Download the libraries, force labview use the .NET 4.0 or higher and try to use it.
Since you mentioned "small javascript", much less painfull would be to rewrite it in labview. If you are trying to mimic some javascript code online you didnt develop, you can use tools to breakpoint and probe it by tools in browsers. Firefox has firebug. I used it when I was converting a very difficult mathematic conversion between C and javascript.

This code works if the info entered in the textareadInfo field has one line with no carriage return.
How can assign value to textareaInfo field contains multi-line string with carriage return?

replace all "\r\n" (carriage return) in the string with "\\r\\n", so that it appears as "\r\n" in javascript.
In jdk 1.4, you can use((String)session.getAttribute("textareaInfo")).replaceAll ("\r\n", "\\\\r\\\\n")

Who can give me a suggestion about java crash with Internal Error ID?

I running my server performance test, but after 7 hours, the jvm crashed and give a java internal error ID with "*53484152454432554E54494D450E43505001A8*",
and I can not query any valuable information from Google by this internal Error ID. Who can give me a light?
I have run the performance test on the other machine with the same service logic, the other environment not crash, It's very strange!

I have print the stack from the core file, I found the crashed thread's state which indicted by hs_err_xxx.log is IN_JAVA and no stack information.

if you have a form with id myForm and input with id myField jsf generates id for the field like
<input id="myForm:myField" type="text" name="myForm:myField"/>and you can get the value using:
- getElementById()
- form["myForm:myField"].value - i`m not sure about this (its from the book Core JSF)

Maybe you could check it on the "onblur " event for the textbox. ->

In a Conversion file, Using Java Script - IF statement with Greater,Less definitions

Well, I've been trying to make a conversion file by using if statement of Java script with < , > definitions. unfortunately i got "Evolution error" over and over again.
Actually i want to convert all dates before 2009 as 2008.12. And the dates which is greater than 2009 will be converted as they are (e.g. 2009.01 or 2010.02 etc.).
Code is:
