Given Up On BT

I have been a Vision customer almost from day one, (at two different addresses), and had no problems whatsoever with the service until the recent software update which has caused my box to reboot constantly, fail to record and generally drive everyone in the house nuts.
I thought BT Sport on my laptop would mean I had something to look forward to at long last. Not so. I got a bit of a football match yesterday and tennis on a virtually unwatchable stream. Now? Nothing. Just a little circle lazily turning on my screen.
I have tried all of the suggestions on these pages, (many thanks for trying to help out guys), to no avail. Phone calls to BT have meant the usual runaround and promises to phone back which have not been fulfilled. I have had enough.
My contract expires at the end of this month so I'll need to get a MAC number and go elsewhere.
Why do I have a funny feeling that even a simple contract termination will turn out to be another run round the houses.?
Honestly, you couldn't make this shambles up.

Ive the same issue with bt, broadband contract expires 3rd week sept and im off to someone else.Dont need mac codes now , new providers have dedicated teams to organise change over( sky deals) so i will be moving phone & broadband ,been bt customer only(20 years).

I am extremely disappointed and angry with Apple service. I am a writer and booked three weeks in Spain so that I could finish my book. On the second day my laptop cut out on me asI was working on it, so I took it to Goldenmack in Cadiz. Not only was I given someone else's macbook when I went back to collect it, but then when I returned to the UK, the Apple shop in Brighton managed to delete ALL my data from the hard drive because I was unlucky enough to get a trainee on her first day. I have since learned she should not have deleted my data without even running a diagnostic. She told me she was going to 'restore' the drive. I took this to mean she was going to restore my work. But no! She erased the lot.
I complained and eventually was put in touch with a supervisor, who I was told had authority to resolve the issue. She said she would get the shop to phone me. That was ten days ago and I'm still waiting.
Ok so there's nothing I can do now to get back the three chapters of my book that I have lost and didn't back up, but the hard drive on this laptop is still faulty. I try to back up my work every time I use the machine but as soon as I attach an external drive, the whole thing shuts down. I can't use it any more as I can't risk losing any more work. This laptop is only just over a year old and this is just not acceptable, especially since I have really looked after it.
This is an appalling service I have encountered from Apple, and I am not going to ignore it. I have contacted the young chap whose laptop I was erroneously given, and the repair of which I paid for! (although I did eventually get a refund), to ask him if he had been given mine as well. He said he had been completely unaware that his laptop had been given to me and he is furious as he had loads of "sensitive material" on it." I have no idea in whose hands my laptop has been either, or indeed what damage it sustained while it was supposed to be in for repair.

Material opening and closing stock for a given day- Tables or FM

i have to make a report , related to Material opening and closing stock for a given day , i check the T-Code- MB5B ,
it is not giving correct date . is any functional module is available ? . i checked some table like mbew , mard . it is also not giving correct requirement . Please help

Goto transaction MC.9, Give your Material and,Plant and the date which you need to know the closing stock. Do make sure that in the high and low values you are giving the same date there. Report to find open items and close items for given vendor

Hi All,
What are the steps needed to write a REPORT to find out
open and close items for a given vendor.
Which are the fields i'll have to take and what are the comparisons i'll have to make.
I know,
BSIK is for open Vendor &
BSAK for closed Vendors..
what are the conditions i'll have to check.

How should I give itunes autonomy to my children now that they are in high school and have used my Mac and my itunes account to buy music for years, including all gift cards given to them. They now both have their own computers.

When my children were younger, and needed more help and oversight, I had them purchase songs with my permission, often with gift cards that they had been given on various occaisions. Now, however, they both have laptops, they would like to split out "their" music and books, sync their Itouches to their own system, and I would love to have 9000 less Taylor Swift songs stored on my hard drive. Also, it seems that I can't set up independent Itunes accounts for them without a credit card, however they both get gift cards several times a year. A suggestion for this? It must happen to a lot of families. Thanks.

Unfortunately you cannot split (nor merge) items purchased with an AppleID. I am not clear on what you will have to do to allow them continued access to their music on your account. Apple no longer has DRM protection in its music but then I also hear people have all kinds of authorization issues when trying to synch so it sounds like they still keep restrictions on what you can do with the music when trying to move it about. I'll let somebody more experienced with syncing answer this part. You may have to authorize their computers and devices to your AppleID to allow them all functionality with the music.
Ideally you would have set them up with their own AppleIDs years ago but...

Start or Stop expression at a given frame?

hello to everyone on the support forum.
I searched the forum but wasn't able to find anything quite good for resolving the matter.
This is something that my IT group Charles Stinson, Nick Carangi, and Sandra Connor have been working on fixing for a while.
I'm getting into expression but the issue is that I am not able to start or stop an expression at a given moment.
I.E. If i want to wiggle(3, 10) until frame 100.
How can I set this up?

ITunes cannot locate my songs suddenly...it wants me to show it where each song is individualy. Otherwise, I cannot listen. It unchecked all the songs and when I rechecked them I filled with exclaimation points. I do have some songs but I dont know why.

The "!" show up when the song file or iTunes music folder is moved or manipulated in some manner, such as changing the folders location to a different drive. By any chance, did you do something like that?

My son got a new iPod and we created an account for him as a new user on my computer.
I've been having the same trouble ever since. My songs are disappearing & I get the exclamation point.
My son's library has disappeared completely and iTunes tries to reinstall every time we switch to his user name.
Did you do something similar? How do we fix this?

Well, it has been doing this randomly for some music that I have not touched or changed. In this instance I normally drop music I have put onto my computer in "my music" and then I take it to ITunes and drop it in. This most recent time I dropped into the "ITunes library" because I thought that this would help eliminate the issue of things getting lost. That made everything disappear. Luckily, I do have all of my music still in "my music" but i dont want to reapply ALL of the songs and if I cleared and started over I would be missing things. Is it fixable?

Have you tried the "add folder" function in iTunes to re-import back into iTunes? Sort of a mass re-import. Also, is there some reason specifically why you aren't ripping directly into iTunes, if that is what you are primarily using to manage your music?
Lastly, you have your OS listed as Windows ME. Are you sure because iTunes isn't compatible with ME?

I am having this same problem! Sorry for jumping in on your post. I recently moved all my music files (not the library file) to an external drive becuase i need more space for my music. now half of my library has these question marks. I dont want to lose my ratings or anything else. Is there a way to batch "original file can not be found"? Thanks Irene

FireFox images not loading in local folders (firebug error-Failed to load given URL)

I am having difficulty when developing websites in local folders (Windows7 computer). The webpages I make are showing images in IE9 & Chrome but not FireFox (nor Safari nor Opera).
In FireFox I get Firebug "Failed to load given URL" prompt.
I am using html5 & external linked css stylesheet & the html/html5 & css code validates.
I have tried using rel path ie images/image.gif & absolute path references ie C:/RPD_Programming/RPD WEB/amwcsnew/index.html
and have tried using % to eliminate whitespace in references but I cannot get FireFox to display images!!
This has been a problem for me for around 2 weeks now & is very frustrating. Some website code/templates I have downloaded from the internet display the websites properly (ie load images fine) when I open them locally in FireFox. Why does my code not allow the images to load in FireFox (paths/permissions/other issue??). How can I fix this?

How can we use Adobe's Digital Publishing Suite given this scenario

I have a question regarding a very specific scenario as it applies to Adobe Digital Publishing that I am having trouble finding an answer to.
We are a small design firm that produces small-run, proprietary-information, official documents.
Each document is branded to one of our clients, but each document title's design is entirely unique even when done for the same client.
Our clients then selectively distribute these documents to a small number (max 200) of their propective clients (NO GENERAL DISTRIBUTION -- NO APP STORE or iTUNES -- NO CHARGE).
It would be nice that each of our clients could have a branded Adobe Viewer with which their selected prospective clients could view only those documents sent to them (PUSHED); NOT everyone with a client-branded Adobe Viewer would be PUSHED the same document.
And similar to the documents being PUSHED to only specific prospective clients of our clients, that our client could subsequently PULL / delete a document from the prospective client's viewer when the document has expired (besides being promotional documents, they are legal as well, and when expired, need to be withdrawn from readership).
So, how is something like this done? What Adobe DPS pricing plan applies?
Would it be a Single plan, but for each client branded viewer? The Professional and Enterprise pricing setup is excessive given our extremely small scale of extremely specific directed distribution for no revenue from that distribution.
Please help me understand, since I cannot find such an answer online.

As for your original question, there is no direct way to do it.
Especially not the way you phrased it,
since objects don't have "names".
Applications also don't have "names".
They have classes and instances.
Also, there are 2 related issues, and I'm not sure which one is the one you asked.
#1. Finding the number of references to the same object.
Eg.
Map<String,String> a = new HashMap<String,String>();
Map<String,String> b = new HashMap<String,String>();
Map<String,String> c = a;In this case, there are only 2 objects.
The first object has (at least) 2 references pointing to it.
The second object has (at least) 1 reference pointing to it.
(There may be more, if the HashMap library keeps
references to these things, or if the HashMap object has
some internal cyclic references...)
If you're asking this, then it can't be done.
It's an active research topic in universities
and software research labs, called "alias analysis".
Type it in google, and you'll see people are working hard
and having little success so far.
#2. Finding the number of instances created from a class.
In this case, what you have to do is to add a counter to
the constructor of the class. Every time an object is constructed,
you increment the counter. Like this:
   class MyClass

       public MyClass( ) { counter++; }
    // Then later in your program, you can do this:
    MyClass a = new MyClass();
    MyClass b = new MyClass();
    System.out.println(MyClass.counter); // It should show 2Note: you won't be able to do this to every class in the system.
For every class you care about, you have to modify its constructor.
Also: when an object is deleted, you won't always know it
(and thus you won't always be able to decrement the counter).
Finalizers cannot always work (read Joshua Bloch's
"Effective Java" book if you don't believe me), but basically
(1) finalizers will not always be called, and
(2) finalizers can sometimes cause objects to not be deleted,
and thus the JVM will run out of memory and crash
