GL data Import into Hyperion Essbase using Adapters in FDM

Hi All,
I am trying to import GL data using the below adapters, I have an Essbase application created to accept the data. I previously imported a text file into Essbase and that worked perfectly.
Source Adapter :ES9x-G4-C
Target Adapter :EBS-FIN-B
FDM version :11.1.1.1.00
1) my Integration settings in workbench are valid
2) control tables in FDM web are valid
3) I created an Import group and set the file Type to adapter then specified to Source adapter as EBS-FIN-B.
What are the next steps as my application is not IMPORTING.

If software is not listed there that you need; then you will need to create a Non-Technical SR for media delivery.
Also please keep in mind that there is no EBS adapter compatible with FDM 9.3.1 .... please review the compatibility matrix at the end of each FDM ReadMe.

Unable to load Dimension into Hyperion planning using ODI ?

Hi All
We are trying to load Dimension into hyperion planning Ver. 11.1.2 using ODI. We have created the interface and mapped the source csv file to target planmning application using ODI KM.
LKM file to SQL
IKM SQL to Planning
We get success in ODI's Operator but the Dimension is not updated nor new data is insreted.
We get this message in Error file:-

Can you check the error log file as you have posted the log file, it should give more information to why the records were rejected.

Text file imported into Hyperion report BQY

Hi,
I would like to know the internal process how Hyperion works in the scenario
1. The Hyperion report query in select * from emp
2. A text file containing list of emp ids has been imported into the report bqy
I believe the query which gets fired on the underlying database is still select * from emp. If so, is it true that the result set of the "select * from emp" then is filtered in the Hyperion server memory based on the emp ids listed in the text file which is embedded in teh report bqy?
I am using Hyperion 9.3.0.
Any input would be appreciated.

How to manage the regulatory data import into specification database?

Hi experts,
We have a EH&S implementation project for a distribution company which has no other sap module and very limited scope.
They want to get the 3E data, compare and update and send/updates with vendors and customers and also inteface the data with AS 400.
They are not willing to use the Ariel ADM tool and any other additional licensing, due to limited scope.The 3E is sending the file in xml format. So the EH&S OCC connector could be used. but this again needs the use of ehs expert, which needs additional licensing and scope increase.
Does anybody worked on intergrating 3E data into specifications without usig ADM and OCC?

Our requirement is just to import the regulatory data for the compliance check from 3E. Once the data gets captured in specification property tree, we can utilize it further. We don't have the scope and resources to make a complex design.
If the specification system could be able to receive the regulatory content in any other file format, we can ask 3E to provide the files in that format ( if possible). As I understand,the standard systems used are IMDS or OCC or Ariel ADM. IMDS also seems to have a separate license.
Does anybody worked on integrating 3E/regulatory data into specifications without using ADM and IMDS? ( very much using the standard SAP out of the box functionality). We are using ECC 6 with EhP 5.

Mystery Data imported into AW

I exported data from an OFA findata that contains a composite. In Oracle Warehouse Builder I built the exact same cube with the exact same sparsity as the OFA cube. In AWM through Oracle OLAP Worksheet I attempted to import the .eif file into the stored cube however, data shows up in accounts that never existed in OFA. I've tested importing the .eif into a brand new AW that did not contain any structures and the data imported fine. It looks like the composite is causing the issue because I am able to import data from findatas that do not contain a composite without any problems. I need to get historic data from OFA into the AW cube. The cube must be initially created in OWB for maintenance purposes, does anyone have any suggestions?

The third component is related to client side character set (such as Windows code page): NLS_LANG = language_territory.charset
(note how you use charset setting to indicate the expected client character set, for conversion to work properly)
Not all tools "use" NLS_LANG. Tools such as Oracle SQL Developer provides Unicode support, not using code page for conversion. If you get display problems even with Unicode support, make sure fonts used provides the required language script (glyphs).

Why do some people get "you cannot save data typed into this form" using FormsCentral fillable PDF?

Hello. We're using FormsCentral extensively. We create the fillable PDF and send it to about 80 people. Each of them is adding content and saving and then passing on to another person for further content. Ultimately, all parties are happy with the content and submit. The problem is that some of the people open the PDF and get the message ""you cannot save data typed into this form". What is causing this? Please help as it is causing us many problems.

Thanks for the quick response. We distribute the form to 80 people who fill it out and create 80 versions. They then pass the form to one other person who edits. All 80 forms, once complete, are submitted to FormsCentral.
I think the problem is with Mac users. Is there anything unusual about the Mac with Adobe Reader? If you provide your email address, I can send you one of the filled out forms that is having this issue. It's quite odd in that the fillable fields don't show up until clicked on and the form is not saveable.

IMPORT into Development server using 10g data dump

Hello,
I need to import(refresh) a number of schemas from Production into Development. Do I have to drop the schemas in Developement frist prior to doing an impdp into Development from Production?
What would be the steps to refresh(impdp) from a Production environment into Developement environment where there are existing schemas that need to be refreshed? What are the gotcha for refreshing existing schemas in Dev from Prod? Thank you.

What if I just want to refresh the data only. Because there may be some tables that already have table structure changes that I want to preserve in dev. If I want to only import data, should I truncate the tables in the schemas in dev and then do a impdp. Which options should I use with impdp when I only want to import just the data? Thank you.

Adobe X pro, export forms data to fdf, then import into new form using automation?

Is there a faster way to export 13 page forms pdf data out to fdf and then import I back into a new pdf form. There are a total of 167 pdf files with total of 130 some field on each form. The fields are all the same in each document. I want to make a macro or script to automate this process. I don’t want to to open all 167 files then export them one at a time. then creat167 new files and import all that data back in. Also each file is the name of the person who filled it out. I could automate the copying of the new 2012 pdf to make 167 new ones each with their name using VBA. But if that could be automated in adobe great.
We have to make new admission forms for next year. Currently all the dates and fees are this year. So I had to update all the pages in Publisher and reprint them to pdf. We are sending the forms back to people with the data already entered since 95% of it did not change. This helps save them time in having to re-fill out the entire form again.
Or any other suggestions

the position of the forms fields is exactly the same. But now that I think of it the data in the pdf’s is slightly older than the exported info in Access as I explain further below.
George, I can create 167 files in an instant using VBA, I in fact have all the names in Access and did this already.
I also forgot, I have all the data from all the forms in Access now. So it would be better to use that since it is more up to date than the pdf forms. Any email and phone number changes were changed in Access. I clicked Manage Form data/ export to txt in Adobe and imported that into Access with a VBA and a macro.
So I really just need to open each particular file and import the data into it.
So can I call the whole process from VBA? Using a Active-X reference in VBA to get to control Adobe?
I write VBA in my sleep so if it can be done there, Fantastic.

Also, i have the following doubts
1. What should be the LKM set for the soruce. Is it LKM SQL TO SQL
2. I have the standard 6 dimensions in the oracle table but Currncy and hsprates in essbase. So how can i ignore these two dimensions while loading data. Or is there a way where i can have default options set for these two dimensions.
3.Can i Load data from multiple tables to essbase. If yes please let me know the procedure.

I'm using multiple time period inputs -- BegBalance,Jul,Aug,Sep,Oct,Nov,Dec,Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr,May,Jun (target has all of those in place of Time Periods)
I'm using hard coded input mapping for Metric, Scenario, Version, HSP_Rates and Currencies. -> 'Amount', 'Actual', 'Final', 'HSP_InputValue','Local' respectively.
The only thing I can think of is that since I'm loading to each of the months in the Time Periods dimension (the reversal was set up to accomodate that)... and now its somehow still looking for that? Time Periods as a dimension does not show up in the reversal -- only the individual months named above.
Any ideas on this one??

Unable to load metada into Hyperion Planning using ODI

I am using ODI 11g and trying to load the metadata for Hyperion Planning application 11.1.2.1. But I couldnt load all the Product members in Product Dimension.
Could able to load few members but was able to run the interface successfully but thrown error while loading few members(Most of the members are shared members, verified that base members existed). Please find the below error log.

Can you check the error log file as you have posted the log file, it should give more information to why the records were rejected.

How to load data dynamically into target tables using files as a source

Hi ,
My scenario needs a single interface to load the data of 5 different files into five target tables using a single interface. All target tables have the same structure. It is possible to point to variable source files using ODI. But the same approach is not working with Database tables. I am getting errors while trying to make my target /source table as a dynamic one.
Can anybody suggest anything. The last option would be writing a dynamic PL/SQL block in the KM. Any other suggestions friends ?

After creating a pair of identical source and target tables, I have carried out the following steps:
I am trying just keeping the target as variable
a)created a one to one interface,
b)tested that it is running.
c)created a variable(type =text),
d)used the variable as #v_name in the resource of the target table datastore.
e)in a package used the variable in a set variable step (first step).
f) used the interface as the second step.
g)executed the same in my context.
the <project_code>.variable_name is not getting substituted in the sql_code that is generated by the KM. My KM is SQL Control Append and following is the code that it generates in the Insert into I$ step:
