[gnome-unstable] Banshee crashing/not importing music.

I get weird behaviour in Banshee, sometimes it will crash with a segmentation fault error. I have this issue with both Banshee 2.4 and built Banshee 2.6.0 with the same issue.
Other times it will just refuse to import my music to my music directory and leave it where it is.
I assume is has something to do with the systemd dbus transistion, but any help would be appreciated.

I'm still getting an error using Banshee 2.6.0-1 from testing. Playback seems to work fine, but I have the option checked to keep my library organized, and once it finishes scanning my watch folder or if I attempt to manually add music the program will crash. Here is another error I get from Banshee --debug.

You can try downloading 7-Zip (free), or a free trial of WinRAR, and unpack the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe file into its components then try installing them individually in alphabetical order (don't try to install SetupAdmin.exe or iCloud.msi). You may get a more useful error message as to which component has problems.

Soundtrack crashing when importing music from CD

Im trying to import music from a CD onto the timeline. I load about 4 or 5 songs onto the track and it crashes. I've deleted the plist. I've just replaced the CD drive. They are new CD's - and it has happened with a number of different CD's. Any ideas? I reinstalled Soundtrack -- although I did not uninstall it first.

Every time I try to importa music file (wav) into premier CS5.5 it crashes.
I have put the software in again from the CDs but still it crashes. It will import photos OK still. What is wrong?

I'm confused, so I'll reask the question.
With Premiere Pro closed, can you open the WAV files in Audition, or does it crash also?

ITunes crashes when Importing music from CD

Hi,
Im having trouble importing CD's using itunes. The process begins and then midway through the first track i get an error message saying that itunes need to close. I have run the CD diagnostics, but dont really understand what they mean. If anyone can offer any ideas on how to fix this it would be very gratefully recieved.

Itunes 10.6.0.40 on Windows XP SP3 Home Edition has stopped importing music CDs. It prompts me if I want to import newly inserted CD, click yes, itunes dones nothing. Although the song titles off the CD are listed after inserting the CD

ITunes Crashes when importing Music Library

my Hard drive crashed but i have backup of my music and the music library ( from itunes 9)
i want to import the music library to itunes 10 ( to have my playlists back) but when i start importing it crashes.
also, do i have to put the music back in the music folder first and then import the music library or what are the correct steps to do i?

I copied my bakcup itunes folder to the new itunes folder and everything seamed ok. But with time itunes asks me for the location of some songs... and they are a lot. I also had a problem that the songs i found where moved to the itunes/media/music ( new in itunes 10,) and i had everything in itunes/music ( as in ituens 9) what can i do to fix the file search path ? changing one by one takes a lot of time

CS4 Crash + Not importing videos anymore

Earlier today my CS4 crashed twice due to a "Remote Importer Module" error.
Ever since I am not able to import any video successfully.
When I import a video clip, it appears in the window pane, as the correct file and correct lenght, however the actual video (avi) is missing. It appears as a still, of the first frame of the original video, with the correct audio and correct lenght, just no footage.
Details:
1080x720p footage (mp4) converted using prism into avi, imported in premiere sequence P2 DVCPROHD 60HZ. This method was working fine up until now. All the old footage using the same method from earlier this week is still working fine in the timeline.

Banshee crashes when rebuilding music library

Banshee started crashing on me whenever it went to the next track, either manually or when it was just time to move on in the playlist. Looking around I found that usually it was due to a corrupt database and the simplest way to fix it was just delete or rename the database file in ~/.config/banshee-1/ and have the program rebuild it.
So I did that (renamed the whole folder and started over) but now the program crashes very early on in the music library building process. Here's the output of the console:

Any ideas? Any current bugs that would kill the program that I don't know how to search the web about? This is happening immediately after a full system upgrade and a transition to systemd, if that makes any difference. I may have missed a daemon or service?

Computer and ipod crashed. not all music was backed up. please help!

Ok so both my computer and ipod crashed in the same week. I was able to fix my ipod but had to wipe all the music off of it. I lost all my itunes files on the computer and not all of my music was backed up. I know that's really bad, and I should back up all of my music but I got lazy. Which again is a bad thing! Sorry! But is there anyway to re-download purchases that I made? Someone please help me.

You can change the email address of one's appleID...
I'd recommend changing moms email to yours to get a good backup on the Mac
Then switch mom's back to hers
Then change your account to the same email you used.
I've done something similar when I needed to update my Apple account (one ID changing email addresses and phone)

Itunes crashes when importing music (v10.5.2.11, Win 7 (64))

iTunes crashes whenever I try to import either a file or folder - regardless of the file format (e.g. WMA, MP3 etc.).
This is only a recent problem. Is the only option to try to re-install iTunes?

Hi, am after some guidance please. Had to buy a new PC, all my music was on an external hard drive. I am trying to import the music into the library but in the majority of cases instead of pressing the 'play' button on the folder in the external hard drive and the music transfers, the music doesn't import & I am having to sit here clicking on every single track for it to transfer. Am totalaly bored & fed up with this laborious task. Can anyone assist please? Many thanks.

If you don't have your original library files then you should be able to add the media folder into a new library using File > Add Folder to Library...

Computer crashes importing music

The computer crashes while importing music about half-way through a CD. This happens on every CD. What am I doing wrong or what may be wrong with the computer/ITunes/IPod

Wish i did have an answer for you, but I am having the same problem here, with more involved, totally kicks me out, freezes, shuts down the computer. I just updated to version 6.05.2. I havn't had these problems before, however, with every update my sister does, and it has crashed her i-pod with this update.
I love I tunes, and really don't want another program on my computer. Hope everything works out for all of us.

Crash importing music

New itunes keeps crashing importing music folder. If i import the folder 1-1 then only a few of the songs import and not the full folder. Need some help. Tried creating a new windows user but does not work.

It seems like there are certain files in the folder you are trying to import which iTunes does not like.
Try arranging the folder contents according to file-types and seeing which ones are not compatible with iTunes. To find out more about which track files iTunes and Apple iDevices support, look here:

Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here. (Use your Ctrl-V keyboard shortcut to paste.)
