GO URL in 11g

Hi
I was implementing go url code in obiee11g, as implement in 10g. Formula wise, it is correct. But it is throwing the following error, when i ran the dashboard.
"HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 17001] Oracle Error code: 25137, message: ORA-25137: Data value out of range at OCI call OCIStmtFetch. [nQSError: 17012] Bulk fetch failed. (HY000)"
Please can anyone help me to resolve the issue? is go url in 11g has different method to follow?
Thanks,
Hari

Hi Dpka,
Thanks for the suggestion. Actually the problem was, the detail report has large amount of data. After passing all the presentaion variables in go url, the error vanished. But still go url is not working.
It is built on graph. And the option HTML format is missing in 11g column properties -> data format tab. Is there any way to enable this? And go url on graphs will work out? have so many hurdles to achieve..
I appreciate the suggestions in this regard.
Thanks,
Hari

  • How to pass values of the prompt through Action Link - URL in 11g

    Hi All,
    I am in OBIEE 11g v6.
    Let's say, I have two dashbaord pages P1 and P2.
    P1 page contains
    1. Prompt PR1 - containing a single column EmpName
    2. Report R1
    P2 page contains
    1. Prompt PR2 - containing a single column EmpName (same column as in PR1)
    2. Report R2
    Requirement :
    Let's say a user select a value = David from the EmpName column in prompt PR1. In the Report R1, on one the measure columns 'Sales', I am using an action link - Navigate to URL ( I can't use Navigate to BI Content for some reasons). In the URL, I am giving the URL to page P2. Can I pass the selected value (which is David) to the EmpName column of the Prompt PR2 of Page P2 so that Report R2 is automatically limited by David when I land on that page through the URL?
    Few things to consider are, I can't use EmpName column in my report R1 on page P1, I just want to pass the value of a common column from one prompt on Page1 to another prompt on Page2. Is that possible. Can anybody please help?
    Thanks,
    Ronny

    Hmm can you give a try one more time with
    Add EmpName name and hide it on report R1 on page P1
    and set EmpName as Is Prompted on report R2 on page P2 and with my earlier steps should work.
    Other option is read this doc once that helps you how to pass value thru url.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21043_01/bi.1111/e16364/apiwebintegrate.htm#z1005224
    You need to have a EmpName as Is Prompted on report R2 on page P2
    If helps pls mark

  • Get browser url from 11g form?

    Is there any function to get the current url of the browser that the 11g form applet is running in?
    Or at least the server:port part?
    Thanks

    In version 11 you can use javascript to extract the browser url. For example:
    Declare
         JS_in      varchar2(32767);
         rtn     varchar2(1024);
    Begin
         -- JS_in is the javascript funtion you want to call.
         JS_in := 'location.href';
         rtn := WEB.JAVASCRIPT_EVAL_FUNCTION (JS_in);
         -- "rtn" should contain the complete URL as seen in the browser address bar.
         -- Do something with rtn.
    End;

  • Create web service in oracle 10g r2

    Hi guys, I am trying to expose a package function as a web service in the database (10g r2) for outside clients to call on. I saw a good example on the following url in 11g http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/11g/NativeOracleXmlDbWebServices_11gR1.php in which you use the dbms_xdb package to configure a port and servlet for accessing the function in the db. However, the 10g r2 version of the dbms_xdb package does not have some of the functions in the 11g version. Eg. dbms_xdb.addservlet, deleteservlet, etc.
    How can i go about doing this (without using Jdeveloper)? Jdeveloper creates the web service but the uses your localhost and web logic port in the generated wsdl. I would like something similar to the example above. Can somebody provide an example that works in 10g or point me towards some article that explains how to accomplish this?
    Any help is appreciated!
    Thanks

    If the intention is merely to web enable that procedure, allowing it to be called directly via http, then it can be done 10g using XDB.
    XDB supports WebDAV and has a mod_plsql (PL/SQL module interface for web servers) servlet. You configure the Oracle Listener to accept http connections on port 8080 for example and hand it over to this mod_plsql module in XDB. In XDB you configure the behaviour of (and URL signatures supported by) this module.
    Note that this deals merely with the connectivity and interface (http to PL/SQL) side - whether that procedure exposes a web services (and returns XML) or whether it returns images or html or text is immaterial from a connectivity viewpoint.

  • IdcService LOAD_USER_LOCALIZATION does not fetch Resultset SystemTimeZones in UCM11g

    Hi,
    In UCM11g, when we examine the output after executing IdcService, LOAD_USER_LOCALIZATION  we notice that the Resultset SystemTimeZones is not getting fetched. Where as it does get fetched in 10g.
    i.e. when i access the following URL in 11g, i cannot see the Resultset SystemTimeZones being fetched,
    http://host:16200/cs/idcplg?IdcService=LOAD_USER_LOCALIZATION&IsJava
    Where in when i access the same 10g URL, i see Resultset SystemTimeZones.
    I am in need of this because we are migrating code from 10g to 11g and there is part of the code i.e. failing because of this.
    Is there a way to get Resultset SystemTimeZones in 11g too.
    Thanks in advance...
    Seshan K.

    Hi Seshan ,
    The resultset cannot be retrieved if it is not there in there in the response of idc service . I think you are looking for some specific output w.r.t 10g , but are not clear on what exactly it is .
    What is the exact use case of the section where SystemTimeZone is being retrieved ? It's just a list of all available TZ details and it's offsets.
    Thanks,

  • Issue passing dynamic paramters using GO URL in OBIEE 11g

    Hi All,
    I am trying to implement a GO URL and pass 6 dynamic paramters to the target dashboard page.
    The issue is that, When I navigate from the column which is having GO URL, It is just passing the first parameter among the 6 parameters.
    URL:
    '<a href=http://servername/analytics/
    saw.dll?GO&path=/shared/xxx/aa%20bb/report%20one
    &Action=Navigate&P0=6&P1=eq&P2="Fact%20-%20xxx".ID1&P3='||CAST("Dim - Abc"."One ID" AS CHAR)||'&P4=eq&P5="Fact%20-%20xxx".ID2&P6='||CAST("Dim - Abc"."Two ID" AS CHAR)||'&P7=lt&P8="Fact%20-%20xxx".DATE&P9='||CAST(TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY,1,"Time"."Day") AS CHAR)||'&P10=eq&P11="Fact%20-%20xxx"."Three%20ID"&P12='||CAST("Dim - Abc"."Three ID" AS CHAR)||'&P13=ge&P14="Fact%20-%20xxx".DATE1&P15='||CAST(TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY,1,"Time"."Day") AS CHAR)||'&P16=eq&P17="Time".Day&P18='||CAST("Time"."Day" AS CHAR)||'style="text-decoration:none;">'||"Dim - Abc.Name"||'<--/a>'
    When I try with actual values for all the 6 parameters, The parameters are being passed perfectly.
    Also I have tried passing each parameter individually in the same syntax as in the above URL and it is working fine.
    Also I have tried the new syntax of GO URL i.e.,
    '<a href=http://servername/analytics/
    saw.dll?GO&path=/shared/xxx/aa%20bb/report%20one
    &Action=Navigate&col1="Fact%20-%20xxx".ID1&val1='||CAST("Dim - Abc"."One ID" AS CHAR)||'&op1=eq&col2="Fact%20-%20xxx".ID2&val2='||CAST("Dim - Abc"."Two ID" AS CHAR)||'&op2=eq&col3="Fact%20-%20xxx".DATE&val3='||CAST(TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY,1,"Time"."Day") AS CHAR)||'&op3=lt&col4="Fact%20-%20xxx"."Three%20ID"&val4='||CAST("Dim - Abc"."Three ID" AS CHAR)||'&op4=eq&col5="Fact%20-%20xxx".DATE1&val5='||CAST(TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY,1,"Time"."Day") AS CHAR)||'&op5=ge&col6="Time".Day&val6='||CAST("Time"."Day" AS CHAR)||&op6=eq'style="text-decoration:none;">'||"Dim - Abc.Name"||'<--/a>'
    Even with this syntax, The issue is same that I am only able to pass the first filter.
    Anyone please help.
    Thanks in Advance.

    To avoid encoding problems use POST method. Here is js example for OBIEE 10g, but I bellieve you will find similar XML syntax in 11g.
    function getGoXML(P){
         var goXML = '<sawx:expr xmlns:sawx="com.siebel.analytics.web/expression/v1" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:type="sawx:logical" op="and">';
         for (var i=0; i<P.length-1; i=i+2){
              goXML = goXML + '<sawx:expr xsi:type="sawx:comparison" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" op="equal">';
              goXML = goXML + '<sawx:expr xsi:type="sawx:sqlExpression">' + P[i] + '</sawx:expr>';
              goXML = goXML + '<sawx:expr xsi:type="sawx:untypedLiteral">' + P[i+1] + '</sawx:expr>';
              goXML = goXML + '</sawx:expr>';
         goXML = goXML + '</sawx:expr>';
         return goXML;
    function dashboardPageNav (navParams){
         var tForm = saw.createForm("customNavForm");
         tForm.action = saw.commandToURL("Dashboard");
         saw.addHiddenInput(tForm, "PortalPath", navParams.portalPath);
         saw.addHiddenInput(tForm, "Page", navParams.portalPage);
         saw.addHiddenInput(tForm, "Action", "Navigate");
         saw.addHiddenInput(tForm, "StateAction", "NewPage");
         saw.addHiddenInput(tForm, "P1", "dashboard");
         saw.addHiddenInput(tForm, "P0", getGoXML(navParams.P));
         tForm.submit();
    dashboardPageNav({
         portalPath: '<portal path>',
         portalPage: '<page name>',
         P: new Array(

  • OAM 11g "Failure URL" in Authoriztion policy not working?

    Hi,
    Per the subject, I am running OAM server 11g (11.1.1.3), with an OAM 10g Apache webgate.
    In the OAM Authorization policy (protected), I have specified a full URL for the "Failure URL", to get the browser to redirect when an authorization failure occurs.
    However, when I test with a user that does not have access (user authenticates ok, but doesn't have right to access the protected resource), instead of the browser being redirected, I am getting an "Oracle Access Manager Operations Error" page.
    I've been trying to figure this out, and have found several threads about this, e.g.:
    OAM 11g authz redirect URL not working?
    But, as I said, I am using OAM 11g server, and there is no "Inconclusive URL" in the policy settings (I guess there was in 10g, but not in 11g).
    I have trace logging enabled on the OAM server, and I can clearly see that the request is getting "results DENY", but there's no indication in the logs that OAM server is aware of any failure redirection URL.
    I've also got a header trace, and I can see that the browser is simply being re-directed to the "/oberr.cgi...." URL, so it' not going "somewhere else".
    So, does anyone know why the "Failure URL" is not working in OAM 11g in Authorization policies?
    Thanks,
    Jim
    P.S. The URL that it's suppose to be re-directing the browser to is in the Public resources under Authorization, and as I said, I don't see the browser even attempting to go to the failure URL, either via header traces or the OAM server logs.

  • Unable to access following endpoint(s) : url...New upgrade to 11g issue.

    [C:\Users\DELL\Desktop\error_description.txt]
    Dear All,
    Similar kind of issue is already there in another thread. but that solution is not suitable for this issue.
    We are migrating our BPEL processes from 10g to 11g.
    We are facing two critical issues as follows. Request you if anybody has idea on this issue, please let me know the solution.
    BPEL process invoke a remote webservice which required authentication with below properties.
    wsseOASIS2004Compliant
    wsseHeaders
    wsseUsername
    wssePassword
    In 10g code these details were given under partner Link Properties. It has been working fine.
    The remote webservice is in third party system(external) and there is no migration happen to this webservice.
    We installed remote server’s (external) certificates in our 11g weblogic server (soa_server).
    Now we are facing two issues.
    issue #1:
    Invoking remote webservice in BPEL process is giving following error.
    *"Unable to access following endpoint(s) : https://192.72......../webservice1/webservice1Proxy"*
    As per the previous issue whic is similar to this error, is due to certificate instalation and adding into trusted list was resolved the issue.
    But for this issue our admin team is verystongly saying certifactes instalation is perfect also reinstalled when we asked them.
    Also we are able to telnet the ipaddress/ hostname of the extenal server (webservice) from the soa_server unix box.
    Also above endpoint URL(external) we able access with ?wsdl from our soa_server unix box.
    Request you folks, please let me know your valuable thoughts on this issue. we are really struckup and reached the delivery date.
    Issue #2
    The authentication details are given as follows…
    Right click on the external reference service and select “Configure WS policies”
    * Under the security tab, click add button and select “oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy”
    * Now Open the property Inspector window and click the add button under “Binding properties” tab.
    * Include the “oracle.webservices.auth.username” and “oracle.webservices.auth.password properties.
    But these details are ineffective in runtime.
    Request you, please let me know your valuable thoughts on these 2 issues.
    Please let me know whether it is cerificte issue or any other issue.
    If it is certificate issue how to strongly inform to our admin team so that they will make the required changes?
    Please find the error log in the attachment.
    Thanks,

  • URL not loading for Web Logic in 11g

    I have installed 11.1.1.5 on RHEL 5.4 64-bit. When the initial install was done everything started and was able to access URL's. Since that time I shutdown the services and have restarted. When I run the startWebLogic.sh from the user_projects/domains/bifoundation_domain/bin directory, WebLogic looks to start however when I try and access the URL the page will not load. If I start all the services, I can get Answers to load at 9704, but EM and WebLogic both fail to load from 7001. I am accessing the URL from a windows server and when i type telnet myserver:7001 I get an error saying "Could not open connection to the host, on port 23: connection failed". Not sure if this is the issue as I have never seen a URL not load unless the service is not running.

    In 10.1.3.3, a ADF Read Only table with row selection enabled that is created by dropping a data control onto a JSF page includes a column with radio buttons. A table in 11g TP3 does not. The 11G table does not include a selection facet nor does the data control include operations such as setCurrentRowWithKey. The same data controls in 10 provide the option of Master Table, Inline Detail Table, 11G doesn't.
    If you add a Client Listener set to listen for clicks component to the 11G table, the JSF page will not load in a browser. (I used Franks example for getting data values from a column) Since my experience with JDev started with 11G TP3, I can't find what the corresponding Client Listener component is in 10.
    In regards to your Complex Web Service return values notes, generating the Web Service Data Controls in 10.1.3.3 does create the nested controls to the nested objects without adding the POJO proxies. I even tried creating a POJO proxy in 11G and even it didn't provide the same table controls as 10G.
    I've invested more than 2 weeks of intense use, or at least attempted use, in 11G to build a UI for consuming a multi level web service response. See threads: Re: Iterate multilevel web service response data using JDev 11G RC3..........
    Getting access to the bean represented by a table row?
    In short, 11G has not helped me build a solution.
    I'd really like for JDev, any version, to help me build my solution for this project (which I'm now way behind on) so I'm going to give 10G a very short spin. Otherwise I'm back to hand coding in IntelliJ. From my threads, I think one can get the gist of what I'm trying to do so any suggestions, examples, tutorials (I've been through the ADF and 10G ) or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Al

  • Passing Chinese characters in OBIEE 11g GO URL to init the dashboard prompt

    Hi Experts,
    Currently we are using OBIEE 11g and passing the dashboard prompt parameter values through the OBIEE go url. When we are passing English strings the dashboard prompt is initialized with the correct passing value. However for Chinese character it is not. I am using the URLEncoder.encode("parameter value", "UTF-8") encoding to encode the passing string.
    Can anyone tell me what is the wrong in this approach? How can we pass any language strings to OBIEE 11g via go url?
    Thanks

    To avoid encoding problems use POST method. Here is js example for OBIEE 10g, but I bellieve you will find similar XML syntax in 11g.
    function getGoXML(P){
         var goXML = '<sawx:expr xmlns:sawx="com.siebel.analytics.web/expression/v1" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:type="sawx:logical" op="and">';
         for (var i=0; i<P.length-1; i=i+2){
              goXML = goXML + '<sawx:expr xsi:type="sawx:comparison" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" op="equal">';
              goXML = goXML + '<sawx:expr xsi:type="sawx:sqlExpression">' + P[i] + '</sawx:expr>';
              goXML = goXML + '<sawx:expr xsi:type="sawx:untypedLiteral">' + P[i+1] + '</sawx:expr>';
              goXML = goXML + '</sawx:expr>';
         goXML = goXML + '</sawx:expr>';
         return goXML;
    function dashboardPageNav (navParams){
         var tForm = saw.createForm("customNavForm");
         tForm.action = saw.commandToURL("Dashboard");
         saw.addHiddenInput(tForm, "PortalPath", navParams.portalPath);
         saw.addHiddenInput(tForm, "Page", navParams.portalPage);
         saw.addHiddenInput(tForm, "Action", "Navigate");
         saw.addHiddenInput(tForm, "StateAction", "NewPage");
         saw.addHiddenInput(tForm, "P1", "dashboard");
         saw.addHiddenInput(tForm, "P0", getGoXML(navParams.P));
         tForm.submit();
    dashboardPageNav({
         portalPath: '<portal path>',
         portalPage: '<page name>',
         P: new Array(
              '<param1 name>', '<param1 value>',
              '<param2 name>', '<param2 value>',
              '<param3 name>', '<param3 value>',
              '<param4 name>', '<param4 value>'

  • Strange OBIEE 11g URL problem

    Hi, I'm implementing OBIEE 11g at work, and I'm seeing something odd I've never experienced before. When I'm inside the firewall, if I go to the URL http://servername:9704/analytics, everything works fine. But if I'm outside of the firewall and use the same URL, it doesn't work (at all). Instead I have to use http://servername:9704/analytics/saw.dll?bieehome (at which point, everything works fine).
    It seems like somehow there is a redirection going on that doesn't work from outside the firewall, but is fine inside of it. Any ideas where I need to look to figure out what the problem is and fix it? (note - I'm not savy with WebLogic....)
    Thanks!
    Scott

    Hi,
    It should work for your case..
    have faced the same issue, just try with hostname. then it should worke and
    go the window/system32/drivers/ect/host......this is the way we can change url path,
    My URL path is based on my domain name and system DNS. I gave IP address and gave path like reports.abc.com
    1)
    change it the IP addresss/host name see the below path and change it
    Drive\Oracle\Middleware\instances\instance1\config\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\instanceconfig.xml**
    change it under <Hosts></Hosts> tab
    2) also change it drive:\Oracle\Middleware\instances\instance1\config\OracleBIServerComponent\coreapplication_obis1
    NQSConfig.ini file
    FMW_SECURITY_SERVICE_URL = "http://IP:9704";
    [JAVAHOST]
    JAVAHOST_HOSTNAME_OR_IP_ADDRESSES = "hostname"; # This Configuration setting is managed by Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Manager
    #JAVAHOST_HOSTNAME_OR_IP_ADDRESSES = "<machine-name1>":<port_number1>,<machine-name2>:<port_number2>;
    after changing restart your BI all services and Run it it should work
    THanks
    Deva
