Good day sir, please i just got an iPAD 4 and I have bee having a serious difficulties performing some operations on it of which was told it is possible one of which is to create a microsoft word documents on my iPAD the second is attaching a file to y e mail in order too send Also, I have not been able to safe a download files on my iPAD as I do not have a download manager on it. Please, kindly send to me ways of getting these problems fixed as i am a young resarcher who sends a lot of mails and download as wel. Als, I am always on the move as this has propmted me in the first place to get an IPAD .
Last but not the list II will equally wish to know if it will be possible for me to use a pen to take seminar notes on my iPAD and safe the same on my iPAD fr later reference as it is done on other tablets ke samsung. I read somethng like stylus pen but I don't know how far. Please, kindly make an appropriate recommendaton for me and where i can get it. I reside in Turkey and currently a Ph.D stuudent in ine of the leading niversities in the country. Also, I will like to know if you ave ecoonomics text books that I can buy or published journas in apple store because i have searched but could not get a desirerable ones.

You need to contact the people who administer the networks to get the passwords for the networks. If there was such an app as you are asking for then passwords for wifi networks would be worthless.

Looking to choose an app for viewing word documents, but need to be able to view a complete page per screen (preferably full screen) without having to 'nudge' the screen 'up' to view the bottom of the page.
Will Pages do the job?Not exactly.
You will find yourself nudging the page up or down a bit. Earlier versions of iOS Pages allowed "full page view" but that really wasn't full page either. You can squeeze the view to fit, but as soon as you release it, the document springs back to normal size - it is only about a line off from what you are looking for.
An alternative would be to view a Pages Document as a PDF and view the PDF in an app such as GoodReader - there you can see both the top and bottom edges of each page. There are many other PDF viewers available in the App Store.

May i know which command can i use to call the word object to get the number of page before closing the word document?
eg. call method of wordobj 'insertpagefield' ? and i need to require the page number in a variable eg. gv_pagenumber for other filtering purposes.

You need an app on the iPad that is capable of reading/recognising Word documents. If you've got an app then one options is to do it via the bottom of the iPad's apps tab on your computer's iTunes (apps that allow file sharing, i.e. saving/copying content, are listed there), and a second option, if the app has the facility, is via wifi.

Hi! So I recently bought a new MacBook, but I've had an iPhone for years. I want to sync all of my music from my iPhone to my Mac's iTunes. Whenever I open iTunes and connect my phone though, it want to sync my iTunes library, instead of the other way around. This would erase all my music from my phone. Anyone know how to sync the other way? From iPhone to Mac?
You cannot synch the other way, with the exception of songs purchased on iTunes.
What you need to do is move the iTunes library from the computer to which you've been synching your phone and put it on your new MacBook. -
I set up my new air and now want to transfer my info from my macbook pro and I seem to have missed the boat and want to go back and do it . the computers are in different names with diff. passwords. Any idea?
If you set yp the Air before transfer, look in Users or Accounts pref pane to see if the other user is there to login to.

Microsoft Word Document Text Highlighting
Hi,
I am using a servlet to open a Microsoft Word Document for viewing of the user. This works fine. The dialog box appears asking the user whether he wants to Save or Open the document. He can choose any and in the latter case the documents opens in a new window also.
The problem is that I want to highlight one paragraph in the text of this Word document when it opens. I have not been able to find any way to achieve this. If someone can help me in this I would be really thankful. Is there really a way to highlight the text of a file on runtime through code???????

You must be signed into the mobile iTunes Store using the same Apple ID you used to originally purchase iTunes Match. On the iOS device go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores and tap the Apple ID. Log out, then log in with the correct ID.

Normally activation should only be a matter of minutes, but if your iTunes library (where you're trying to activate the phone) is in a place where you have no cell service, it will not activate until you take it to a place where you do have service.
So if it is sitting idle and not activating that could be a reason (happened to me). If you're a Verizon customer you may have to dial *228, then press 1 to finish the activation. -
Pages problem opening up a Microsoft Word document??!!!
Hi all,
I have just purchased iWork'08 and I have a question about Pages. I do not know anything about Office programs, apart from how to write basic letters in Word! I decided to go with iWork'08 as I love Apple and wanted to give Apple's office suite a try.
As I have said previously, I don't know anything about Pages. My problem is that I have a Resume in the .DOC format, which I created previously in Microsoft Word years ago when I was a Windows user. I have not had any problems with it though, even when I moved to Mac, because I was using NeoOffice. Now though, when I am using Pages, once I open up my Resume, I get a message from Pages telling me the following: Some Problems Occurred, Type: Import Warning, Description: Document backgrounds aren't supported and were removed.
This information appears in it's own box when I open the document up and indeed, the document is not formatted as it is supposed to, as it is in Microsoft Word or NeoOffice. Why is this, what is going on and most importantly, how do I make Pages just show the document as it supposed to be shown??? I was told it was compatible with Microsoft Word documents, but it is not doing a good job with them so far!!! Please help!!

I've had some luck with fixing imported table formatting in Pages by first making the borders and inside dividers visible. Select a table after opening the inspector and selecting the tables tab. Find the Cell Borders buttons and select each one, then click on the pop-up button below and select the Thin line. Do this for each table.
Now that you can see the lines and the text inside each cell you can begin cleaning up. There will likely be 2 problems: vertical cell borders won't align down the page and some text will be too big to fit inside. You may also find that not all the tables align to the left side of the page
Step 0: if the tables don't align to the left side of the page, fix that
Step 1: reduce the text size - you may have to choose a new font
Step 2: align the vertical borders

How can I change a Microsoft Word document file into a picture or jpeg file? I am wanting to make the image I created my background on my macbook pro.
After I had the document image the way I wanted it, I saved it as a web page and went from there. Below are the steps starting after I did the "save as" option in Word:
1) Select "Save As Web Page". I changed the location from documents to pictures when the window came up to save it as a web page.
2) Go to "Finder" on you main screen, or if it's on your main toolbar at the bottom.
3) Click on the "Pictures" tab and find the file you just re-saved as a web page. (I included "web page" or something similar in the new title so I could easily find the correct file I was looking for)
4) Open the correct file and then "right click" on the actual image. (Use 2 fingers to do so on a Mac)
5) Select 'Use Image As Desktop Picture", and voilà! The personally created image, or whatever it is that you wanted, is now your background.
**One problem I encountered while doing this is that the image would show up like it was right-aligned in relation to the whole screen. The only way I could figure how to fix this was to go back to the very original document in Word, (the one before it was saved as a web page), and move everything over to the left.
I hope this helps someone else who was as frustrated as I was with something that I thought would have been very simple to do! If you have any tips or suggestions of your own, please feel free to share. : ) -
Integrating Microsoft Word documents with ADF BC and JClient technologies

We are developing a Police Management System in JAVA with the Oracle Jdeveloper 10.1.2.0.0. We are using for the access to the data, in the businesses tier, the ADF Business Component Technology and for the User Interface, in the client tier, the JClient for ADF Technology. The used Database is Oracle Enterprise Edition 10.1.0.3.0. with the intermedia option.
We were looking for ways to upload and insert Microsoft Word Documents into a view object using JClient on the client tier. We have found the following options:
1) Oracle Intermedia database datatype ORDSYS.ORDDOC and their corresponding ADF Business Compomnents domains -> The problem is using Jclient on the client tier. In Oracle JDeveloper 10g, developers will not be able to create new applications using JClient interMedia controls. JUImage (limited to images only) is the JClient control available to access multimedia in the database.
2) Oracle COM Automation Feature -> We were studying the possibility to built a solution with Oracle and Microsoft Word using Oracle COM Automation Feature for Java. The problem is Oracle COM Automation Feature requires Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows Server 2003. We are using a database on linux, therefore this option is not valid.
3) CLOBs in database and theirs corresponding ADF Business Components domains -> But I don't know how to use ADF BC objects in JClient tier.
Can someone please help?

Importing text from Microsoft Word documents
Can anyone offer recommendations or tips on the Import feature? I am considering use of import for a vast amount of content from Microsoft Word documents. I am using DW CS3 and I have heard good and bad about the import feature. I would like to try to make it work for me and to make sure I'm using it correctly. Many thanks! Ms. Gill
I hate to say this, but don't do that.
Ms. Web Editor (may I call you Web?), I regularly input stuff my clients send me from Microsoft Word. I never attempt an HTML conversion from Microsoft. It's just too dirty.
Instead, what I do is I copy paragraphs into Dreamweaver's Code View window, putting a <p> and a </p> before and after them.
If there are headings and sub headings in Word, I simply make them into lines without HTML, then press [Command]-1 or [Command]-2 to make those lines into <h1> or <h2> tags.
I never try to export from Word. Microsoft does not know how to create clean HTML and CSS. It is always a losing proposition to trust that they do.
