Graph from file. DImension problem

Hello. I have a problem drawing an XY graph from file. I managed to plot one graph, but I need 3 graphs plotted on one XY graph.I have 4 txt files with 1D arrays (just one column) of data. 1st: only X values, the rest 3 are Y values. Could you please answer what is the mistake in my block diagram and how to solve it?

For new users it's sometimes confusing that Array Subset always returns the same type of array as the input, even though you may be selecting a range that amounts to a row or a column. This has been a source of confusion for new users from day one, so don't feel too bad.
You should also provide path controls with actual paths set for the Read From Spreadsheet File VIs. As it is, with no path wired to them the Read From Spreadsheet File VI will prompt you. Since there is no data dependency on the individual instances you won't know which one it's asking for first. It may not matter in your specific case, but you should not make something that's ambiguous.

I have a text file with my data and i read them by using the Read From Spreadsheet File VI,i enter the path where my file is saved,read all rows delete the first row because i don't need it and my problem is that in the text folder i have specified date and time which i want to be my X axis in my Graph and Y axis to be the Vout that means i have to use a XY Graph ,below you can see my data:

1) Is the text file format compatible with the input of the graph command?
I do not find a LabVIEW function which convert the “date” from the text file (example:3/09/2012 07:45:37) into a compatible format for X axis for the graph.
(Conversion from string format => into a “date and time” format)
Can someone please provide a code solution for this problem?

Data File-- atleast one member from each dimension is it mandatory??

Is it mandatory to have atleast one member each dimension in the data file that is used for loading into the Cube?If we leave one member from a dimension is it going to create a problem?So, If I want to load with different data files for different members of measures & is there any way to avoid extraneous member ( from one Dimension, the reason is cuz there are 2 dimensions out of which one may need not be actually included in the text file ) in the data file??Your views about this will be appreciated!!Thanks

In a load rule file, you can create something called a header - which can be used to specify member(s) that do not appear in the data file.To specify a header, choose Options / Data Load Settings / Header Definition. The caveat is that you can only choose one member from the missing dimension - you cannot specify multiple members from the same dimension. Time Stamp format from file problem

I have a pretty peculiar problem. I'm working on two PCs right now, one is my private laptop running on Windows 8, and the other one the PC at my workplace, running on Windows XP, but on the same version of LabVIEW. I use this method to save the time and date to a tab delimited .txt file. Then later, with another VI, I read the date and time written to file to reconstruct the time stamp. I've noticed that dates written to file from my workplace differ from the dates written from my private PC: in Windows XP, there are "-" separating the day, month and year. In Windows 8, it's "/". There are other differences (see pictures). So naturally, when reading from file using my VI, I can only read on my private PC files (or at least dates) written on my private PC and vice versa, I can't read files written on my private PC on my workplace PC. Can anybody tell me why there's a difference in format, or how to write the date uniformly so I can read it on any PC, or how to read both formats?
So this is the method I use for writing the time and date (the subVI only inserts a certain number of TAB characters).

This is the VI (attached) I use to read the time stamps (the first row actually contains the time stamp in HH:MM: SS format for a whole bunch of measurements).

I would suggest using the ISO-8601 UTC format.
The only limitation is that the string value is in reference to GMT.
The conversion of the string back to a timestamp will present the date/time on your front panel indicator as local time.

Help! Problem with reading objects from file

I wrote a "Library" program for an assignment, and one of the requirements is that the library store all of its information to file upon exit, and reload this information from file when run.
Well, the writing to file part is working. I'm using a FileOutputStream object and an ObjectOutputStream object. I can tell from the file size of the .dat file that information is going into it.
But what I can't do is read from file. For that, I'm using a FileInputStream and an ObjectInputStream. I keep getting this exception:

     at LibraryDriver.main(LibraryDriver.java:6)I looked this exception up and it says it's thrown when a data input stream unexpectedly ends....But I am instantiating the input streams just before I try to read from file:
                        fileInStream = new FileInputStream(libraryFile);
               objInStream = new ObjectInputStream(fileInStream);
               Object[] objectArray = new Object[objInStream.readInt()];Both input streams have methods that "return the number of bytes that can be read from this file input stream without blocking". Just for kicks, I tried writing that number to the console.
For the FileInputStream, I get 404 bytes.
For the ObjectInputStream, I get 0 bytes.
So I guess it's a problem with the ObjectInputStream? Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fix this, please?

Problems with load DSO from file

I am working with BI 7.0.
I am loading data from file to DSO and my problem is that data is not active in my DSO, the data are loaded how New Data and I haven´t the data in query and DSO.
The settings of my dso are:
Type: standard
SIDs Generation upon Activation: X
Set Quality Status to 'OK' Automatically: X
Activate Data Automatically: X
I have created one transformation from datasource to DSO and one DTP that extract from datasource ( No PSA).
When I execute the DTP there aren´t errors, the status is green and ok but the data is not active.
If I try activate the data manually the job is launched but the data no active.

i think u know in B.I the data should be in psa then only u can load the data using DTP .so how can u load the data with out data in psa .i thinks may be because of this u r data is not activating in dso

Can load image from file using LabVIEW and display on IMAQ graph?

I dont have IMAQ Vision for LabVIEW on my computer. Is it possible to load image file and display on an IMAQ graph?

As of right now, in order to read an image from file, you actually do need the IMAQ Vision software. The IMAQ driver without the Vision VI's will allow you to collect images from a framegrabber, and it will allow you to save those images to file. But the function that allows you to read an image from file does require the Vision VI's. Once you have the VI to read images from a file, you will be able to display the image on an IMAQ "Graph" or otherwise known as an Image Display.

Problem copying text with graphs from web pages

I can't copy text+graph from webpages. Copying into Pages or Microsoft Word for Mac, the text is copied the graphs are not. (With Firefox, I can't even copy text!)
I have Parallels, and on the Microsoft side I have no problem copying both text and graphs simultaneously.
Could you, please, advice

Thanks.It works-sort of. I can copy into TextEdit without problems. This is probably the solution by itself because I can save it. Copying into Words (from TextEdit) didn't work. Copying into Pages partially works: the graphs are reproduced but the layout comes out funny.

How to insert data from file into matlab script node

I have interfaced input data from file to be processed using matlab script node. But the problem is that I could not capture the multiple data into matlab script node and to convert it into matrix. Further to this I need to process the data by plotting graphs from it. Thank you in advance for the advice

To clarify your problem, you have a script node contaning your Matlab code. Are you then using the standard LV functions to load in your data from a file and pass it into the script node?

Read from file and plot data against timestamp

Hello,
I know that there are already many posts regarding the question I m about to ask. But, I somehow dont seem to achieve what I want using the suggestions given in the other posts.
My problem is that, I have a file with the first column as a time stamp containing hour, minute, second and millisecond. The second column in a set of pressure values. I want to plot a graph of these pressure values against the timestamp recorded in this .txt file. Whatever I do, the timestamp values seem to skip by a couple of seconds.
How do i do this correctly?
Also, Is it advisable to use the read from file or the read from spreadsheet file vi? Kindly help me out.

Hey, I was having a similar issue the other day. The first problem I had was how to open the file and actually get the timestamp information. Since I'm using LabView 8.0, I had to go into Read Spreadsheet File and create a new vi to open strings (in an array form). That's the Read Spreadsheet File (string) vi below. Then, I had to figure out how to convert the string of a timestamp to something meaningful to me. The Timestamp2.vi is how I did that below. I'm also including a little test file. So, to run Timestamp2.vi, you will have to input the right base path, and have the Read Spreadsheet File (string).vi in the same place as Timestamp2. Hope that helps. I think I'm finally getting this stuff, so let me know if it doesn't work.

How to remove member from Alias dimension in EPMA 11.1.1.3

Hi,
We are using EPMA for controlling master data for HP and HFM. While uploading members using Flat file import, by mistake, we have added a member called "French" in Alias dimension. Because of that, now all of the HFM applications, which were deployed earlier, are showing error as "The 'Alias' dimension has been modified since the first successful deployment of the application..."
Now, if we are trying to remove the new member "French" from Alias dimension, we are facing error as "The following error occured: Member 'French' is referenced by another Member."
We have checked but still could not find any member which is referencing/has value against this French Alias member.
If you have faced such kind of problem earlier, then can any of you share your experience? That will be very much appreciated.

As per my understanding, while deployment Planning app gets interacted with 1.Essbase Server by creating outline 2. Shared services and last Planning
Today morning, I could see the application in EAS inspite of deployment being Aborted, So i have deleted that from Essbase
Now, I have created a new application, and tried deploying and gets the same error message and i don't see any app in EAS / HSS

Exported .wmv pixelates only when changing file dimensions

I shot a project in 960x720 HD and edited it in a matching timeline.
Using flip4mac, whenever I try to export it to .wmv with reduced file dimensions of 380x160 (or any file dimension other than the current), it pixelates.
I haven't had this problem in the past.
Any ideas?

Try Flip4Mac's forum. You'll get answers from Telestream and knowledgable Episode users. You might want t include more details, like exactly that the media is, DVCPRO HD maybe, and exactly what settings you're using to export.
