Graphical Structures in Java

Hello Guyz,
I want to implement a Graph drawing servlet...
Are there any API's for Graph drawing or Graphical structures drawing....
Also i need to show this graphs through a browser in the client End through JSP pages...I have no idea how 2 do this..
Please post in some solutions..I wud be grateful if u can help me..

There are quite a few Servlet Graph APIs, a quick Google search will help you find them.
It will also provide a couple of links showing code samples of how to get the graphs to show in a JSP. Or more generally, how to dynamically create images and display them in JSP (as that is how most of the Servlet/JSP graphing APIs work...)

Why does Java follow the hierarchical structure i.e
Object class is the root class which is extended by

Can anybody tell the reason for this.It's for technical reasons. In this way any class and class hierarchy always have a known super-superclass namely Object. This means that API's can be written assuming this class only and they will then work with objects of any class. Examples of this are the Collections and Swing.

I am using a ATI Radeon 9550 Graphic card in LFS (Linux from the scratch) environment. I want to enable the OpenGL-based pipeline for Java Swing application. I tried the -Dsun.java2d.opengl=true . But the Java swing application getting very slow.
How to overcome this problem?

Thanks for the reply. But please clarify a bit. Please below is my requirement.
As per the SAP Avilable screen in T Code CN41,it is showing the scale of 1 and 2 only.
Assume if it 12 Days as actual work VS Actual duration of 265 Hours .It is showing 2 = actual work of 12 days and 1= Actual duruation of 12 Days. I want to have the scale in such a way that, we should be able to see from 0-100-200-300 Hours and Days 5-10-15-20.
Can u pls advis how can i get these and also give me ur mail id so that i can send u the screen shot also.

How to disable graphics and/or java in Firefox 23.0.1

In previous versions of Firefox, like 19.0, it is a simply matter to disable graphics and/or java. Simply go to Firefox "Tools", "Options", "Content", unclick "Load images Automatically", unclick "Enable JavaScript".
With Firefox 23.0.1, I don't see that as a option. How do I easily disable and enable the graphics and javascript?
I am aware that "Adblock" has some capabilities to do some of this. Although I find Adblock more complicated and have not been able to achieve my goals with it.
This is very important to me.

Are you kidding? so you mean to tell me that it helps users by requiring them to download third party addons(memory leaks and all) just to do something that use to be as simple as clicking a button?
If i have to use untrusted third party add-ons that i need to download to my computer i may as well just ,i don't know, Download a new browser while im at it.
If anything they should have just made it EASIER to find so users could EASILY undo what they EASILY done.
it's hogwash to say "just use addons" I try to keep my add-ons and extensions to the bare necessities for a reason. And coming from a user who until recently was stuck with dialup(because there was no other options) the ability to remove images is key. That and if im in a public setting i don't want to put my facebook images on display.
Overall, HUGE mistake by firefox.

What Tree Data Structures does Java Include?

I have been reading about several tree data structures like a binary search tree, self-balancing bst, minimum spanning tree, red-black tree, AVL tree, etc... Are there data structures in Java represent the various trees, or is implementation of the ds left to user?

"Java" can be termed the "Java Language". The language does not have trees.
In more general usage "Java" can refer to a standard, desktop, delivered VM which includes the standard Java API. The types that you are asking about would be found in the following package.

"Java" could also refer to any other commonly available implementations. In that case probably anything that can be implemented has been implemented somewhere. Googling works.

it is possible , but you should have print access , you can download the structure u see on screen on a .ps file (post script ) file and then convert to pdf via pdf converter. Ask your basis guy to help.

Do you mean graphically?
You can use a TreeSet or TreeMap if you just want to use tree structures.

Problems changing colour using Graphics class in java.awt

Hi,
The problem only happens when more than two images are on a panel. In this case, I have to strings that are drawn. The first drawn string is called "A" the second drawn string is called "B". However, when i change the colour of "B" to let's say Red, the panel erases the letter "B" and insteads changes "A" to red. How can I fix this so that when the user chooses the colour red it changes the colour of the latest drawn string and not the first one. please help!!!!

well, as I said, I can't remember what the update method thing was for... I think it was related to not clearing the screen first.
Anyway, if you maintain a list of objects that should be drawn and then in the paintComponent method, loop thru the list of objects and redraw them, it will work. Then you change the state of an object and call repaint. When you are going to change color, you need to, in effect, redraw the entire affected area. Now this can be done partially with clipping, but it's complicated to deal with that. So the simplest way is just redraw everything on repaint.

Passing a structure from Java to PL/SQL Procedure

Environment: Oracle DB, Tomcat/Apache
How do we pass a structure (Table Record Type) from Java to a PL/SQL Stored Procedure?
We are doing JSP-->JavaClass/Bean to communicate to DB. We have an existing PL/SQL packages/Procedure to insert records into table (These procedures have record types as in/out parameters). So is there a way to call these from Java?

Oracle9 i JDBC Developers Guide and Reference(page 21-16):
It is not feasible for Oracle JDBC drivers to support calling arguments or return
values of the PL/SQL RECORD, BOOLEAN, or table with non-scalar element types.
However, Oracle JDBC drivers support PL/SQL index-by table of scalar element
types. For a complete description of this, see "Accessing PL/SQL Index-by Tables"
on page 16-21.
As a workaround to PL/SQL RECORD, BOOLEAN, or non-scalar table types, create
wrapper procedures that handle the data as types supported by JDBC. For example,
to wrap a stored procedure that uses PL/SQL booleans, create a stored procedure
that takes a character or number from JDBC and passes it to the original procedure
as BOOLEAN or, for an output parameter, accepts a BOOLEAN argument from the
original procedure and passes it as a CHAR or NUMBER to JDBC. Similarly, to wrap a
stored procedure that uses PL/SQL records, create a stored procedure that handles
a record in its individual components (such as CHAR and NUMBER) or in a structured
object type. To wrap a stored procedure that uses PL/SQL tables, break the data
into components or perhaps use Oracle collection types.

Graphical mapping is Java Mapping??

Someone told me that ABAP mapping is faster than Java mapping cause it runs on ABAP stack straight away, where as Java mapping runs on Java stack and then transfers the result to ABAP stack whic reduces effieciency. Does that mean me should prefer ABAP mapping over Graphical mapping as that is also java mapping in the background??

according to SAP, the graphical mapping (which generates java code) is the fastest mapping and hence the first choice. Personally I prefer XSLT even though it is said to be the slowest because of the way XSLT runs the mapping. However, I never experienced any problems but found it much easier to handle than the graphical mapping especially when the mapping gets a bit tricky and you have to work with many queues.
I doubt that the Abap is necessarily faster because it depends how you write your source code, whereas the graphical mapping is already optimized

how will � add import I assumed based on your initial post that the renk and benek classes were in the same file. Apparently you're saying they are not. So for another thing, make your renk class "public class renk", and add the "public" keyword to the 3 members of that class. Then if your code still doesn't see the "renk" class, it would just be that you don't have the directory that contains the compiled "renk.class" in your classpath.
