Gray filter too dark. How to enlight the gray images?

I�m creating a set of toolbar buttons and I want to acquire that disabled gray effect ...
in my current code, I load two images for each button - an active one and the gray one...
recently I heard about the GrayFilter class and I tryied to use it with my implementation..
the problem is: the GrayFilter generated gray image is too dark..
how can I modify the gray scale used in the GrayFilter?

Select --> Color Range or do some magic with Calculations to create a selection based on luminance.

When I send a photo from my phone (via ePrint) the result is not as clear as I would like.
In addition to settings for brightness, I would also like to know if it's possible to change the size of the printed photo. (if you print a photo from windows you'll get a wizzard that lets you choose from different sizes)

i upload the image from C:\image\center.gif. i use request.getParameter just can get the image name like "center.gif". Can anybody help me how to get the full path name. Thanks a lot..

There is no need to get the path. It is also fairly pointless as the server cannot access the client's local file system.

I follwed this note only (Deploying Sun JRE (Native Plug-in) for Windows Clients in Oracle E-Business Suite 11i [ID 290807.1]) to upgrade my Jre -1.6.0_23 version .Use the same steps to downgrade to 1.6.0_20 (i.e. download the correct plug-in, issue "txkSetPlugin.sh jversion" with the desired version, ..etc).
I given it to application team for testing they come back with some issues telling that some application and users unable to access so requesting to downgrade the JRE to 1.6.0_20 version.What issues? Have you considered upgrading to 1.6.0_24?

They are now completely unrecognisable and unusable. Does anyone know how to recover the original images as I was saving them as I went along but the files are now corrupt?

What version of Photoshop are you running?
I've seen a couple of instances over the last week or two where Photoshop has added masks, strange colours and also merged content from two separate PSD files that were open at the same time.
This has occurred on two different iMacs, (both 10.10.x) running Photoshop CC 2014.2.2 (20141204.r.310 x64).

Mac • LR - Prints too dark and color not the same

I a real problem where my prints are too dark about 2stops+ and color seem way off .
How can I syc PS & LR so things print the same and the way that they should.
Having to do work a rounds take up space that I can use, the time wast is ________ .

So, printing an image from PS is OK, but from LR it's dark?
Do both have the same printer ICC profile selected?

PSCS5/Mac - Cursor while in Liquify Filter too dark

I use the LIQUIFY FILTER quite a bit, and also use it on predominantly BLACK backgrounds and/or objects... my problem is the CURSOR is also BLACK and the cursor is impossible to see most of the time - I have tried changing the cursor types in PS Preferences to no avail - any ideas on how to make the cursor (once I am within the Liquify Filter) to lighten in color? If I remember correctly the cursor color was fine in CS4... Thank You! ;-)

You may want to file a bug report on this with Adobe. I had reported this issue in CS5 pre-release testing, but I think it was filed in Adobe's very minor bug category and was not addressed. But, just in case, make sure you are updated to current version of CS5.

How to use the same image map over and over

Sorry, I posted this a couple of years ago and got a good answer by Murray. I'm so rusty with it, I can understand how it works anymore.
Question:
I have a large jpeg image map for a hundred pages. The jpegs are all the same except I changed the city name for each one.
So for each corresponding htm page, the 4-5 links out are the same.
Waht is the trick to not have to create by hand hotspots? thanks.

select the large jpeg and then in link field drag over to the new city jpeg

NEverthesless, I think I got Murrays old notes.
Here is my new version of Murrays writing, easiest way I think:
You open up a pre-existing html, say Chicago. Then drag over with pointer to the new jpeg you want (Buffalo). It replaces Chicago with the buffalo jpeg, all links work perfectly. Then do a save as called Buffalo.

FACT: When creating a multipoint call using an MCU, the local image has been sent to the local endpoint which may result a slow connection since the video packet were sent to the origin.
QUESTIONS:
1. How can we prevent the local image to be sent to its original endpoint?
2. If it does happen, does it consume more bandwidth?

- In a symmetric conference that is setup to allow for 320K video would allow for 320K in and out. It does not get divided in half to produce 160K in and out.

How to swap the source image of a MC programmatically in AS3?

This seems like it would be a simple thing.
I have converted a jpeg to a movie clip that I want to be able to swap out the image source programmatically in the code behind.
This can be done easily in the GUI. How do you do it programmatically?
I have been searching for hours now and have not found anything that discusses how to do this.
