Greek language in Asha 501

Good evening.
Can anyone help me in order to install Greek language on Asha 501 phone with English language?

tonyk00, officially, changing the firmware variant (Nokia Product Code) is not doable on your own, officially. Changing the product code and refurbishing the phone with that new software/firmware is required in Series 40 and the new Asha Software Platform to change to another set of languages.
The set of menu languages and the set of writing languages are limited. The Nokia Product Code (059…) printed on your phone indicates the firmware variant and the set of languages you get. Apple iOS and BlackBerry OS 10 comes with all supported languages preinstalled. In Windows Phone, you are able to download the languages from the phone menu yourself, via Wi-Fi. With Google Android, some manufacturers limit the menu languages but you are able to add at least writing languages yourself.

Can you please let me know the list of native Indian languages supported in Nokia Asha 501? Also, can I store the phone contacts in a native language? I'm more interested in knowing the list of mobiles from Nokia that support the Indian language Telugu.

Here, Telugu works for both the menu, for contacts, and for keyboard.
The Nokia 501 is based on a new operating system, called new Asha software platform. Previous platforms were Nokia Series 40 and Symbian/S60.
Nokia Series 40 supports Telugu as well, however, you need a firmware variant (certain product code) which includes this language. Therefore it does not make sense to post models. You need the correct product code in your device. Anyway, here is a list of phones with Series 40 and Wi-Fi …
With Symbian/S60, I have not seen any product code for Telugu.
With a Windows Phone like the Nokia Lumia 510 you would be off much better, because there, you can add languages easily via the phone menu (if you have Internet access). However, Telugu is neither supported in the menu nor as keyboard. (or I am too stupid to find it).

1- i cant make update for the set by wifi
2- i cant make update by nokia suite ( this phone not supported by nokia suite )
i conceit the phone by ( usb and bluetooth )
3 - it doesn't have Arabic language

Asha 501 just started shipping, so there are no phone SW updates available for it yet. The phone supports SW updates via OTA (both over Wi-Fi and mobile data, as you can read from here: http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/new-nokia-asha-software-update)
I believe there should be variants containing Arabic language available already. Could you dial *#0000# in the and tell me the code listed listed in the "product code" field?
WhatsApp is not currently available for Asha 501, but should be coming later.

Asha 501- usb mass storage connectivity issues.

hey guys, I've just connected my phone to an android tab using usb mode. 1st thing is it didn't detect my phone as mass storage. 2nd thing is after unplugging my phone, all the content in my memory card seems to be scrambled, everything looks in different language/characters. Not sure what to do apart from reformatting the memory card. Any suggestions...
I tried restarting the phone, reinserted the memory card. All info on memory card is scrambled.
Any help would be appreciated.

Farsi (persian) keyboard for asha 501

Hi, who knows how to install persian keyboard on asha501s, i had the arabic one, but its gone after flash and update

If not, we need the 7-letter code which is printed on the label located under the battery. That product code determines the firmware variant you have. The firmware variant determines the set of languages you have. Officially, only Nokia Care Centres are able to change that code because tools are required which are copyrighted only to Nokia Care, officially.

Asha 501 isn't supporter by Nokia suite, so you can't install apps from PC like any other Nokia phone.
You aren't able to access Nokia store via Wifi as well?. I would suggest a phone settings reset, you *will* lose data stored on the phone so backup before you decide to reset it.

Blank screen after Ending a call on Asha 501

I got a new Asha 501 last week. I am very happy with the product and its worth for the money spent.
However, two issues i have noticed so far and its bothering me a bit
1. after ending a call the screen goes blank and sometimes it takes a bit to end the call. This is very awkward during some important calls. would appreciate if there is any solution for this.
2. Mail app takes a long time to load the message contents. I know 2g is not the fastest connection but still this is too slow even for 2g.

1. On call, when you bring your phone near to your ear, the Proximity sensor recognises your ear and turn off the screen so that there is no unwanted inputs as the screen touches your skin. But when you pull it back, it turns the screen on again, but it takes 0.5-1 second to the Max.
If it takes longer, make sure there is nothing in front of sensor (it is placed on top left), like Plastic lamination, some accessory, dust or while you pull off your phone, your finger should not be there.
If it still takes longer, better make your device checked at Nokia Care. If found some problem, they will change the sensor.
2. The mail app is working perfectly fine for me on Wi-Fi. You should try loading some websites in browser, if it takes longer, check network strength, it should be strong on 2G internet (Personal experience- BSNL 2G, residing near Network tower, slow like hell, in INDIA). Try changing provider.

Problem with Nokia Asha 501

I have recently purchased asha 501 the problem is after recieving few messages it does not recieve more messages for that i have to restart the phone then i can able to recieve the messages . It happen 3 to 4 times a day . it is not a network issue for that i have changed sims several times . even some time messages sent from other phones never recieved even though i have restarted phone several times and that is tested for several times .
Kindly solve that bug in the next update of nokia .

It is really difficult for me to send text messages in My nokia Asha 501.The following are the issues i am facing.Please provide updates.
A)No option to send messages to contact groups (we cant create contact group).Even the basic nokia mobile have this feature.
B)After typing the messages we need to select contacts one by one by clicking on the + sign. No option to mark many contacts to send sms at a go.(Marking of contacts is a must feature of any mobile phones but nokia ASHA 501 lacks that.)
C)i have around 500 contacts, so its difficult for me to browse through all the contacts to select the one to whom i can send the sms.Also filtering of names is not of good standard some time filtering correctly and some times not filtering correctly.
D) please concentrate on the basic features first then concentrate on applications.There is noway to delete or uninstall the use less Assasin creed demo game app that is pre installed.

Greek language not displaying in jsp page

My application is based on struts framework...
we doing in multilanguage.
When i select greek the followingis displayed:

even i've did the pageEncoding code in jsp page...
i dont know why it is not displaying but i maintaining properties files for greek language. so, when i call the greek language, the greek properties file was located and display the content... But for other languages like dutch, portuguese, spanish is working fine...I keep the resource properties file in the same place where other language files placed.
Is there any more changes i want to do...
I call this greek lang. externally but should this related to database(SQL Server 2000).
What i want to do.

Asha 501: VoIP, TLS and certificates

I've recently added sip account to my Asha 501. It works great when I use UDP or TCP transport, but when i switch to TLS it can't connect to the server. I think, this may be caused by self-signed server certificate.
So, is there a way to add my own certificates to Nokia Asha 501 ?

I am trying to use TLS in voip environment and I am in a cross roads.
The guy who manages the asterisk server sent me two certificates: One CA.crt and another User.pem.
I have been able to make the asha 311 accept the CA.crt (after changing it to a ca.der file, according to this post: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Asha-and-other-Nokia-Series-30/HOW-TO-INSTALL-ROOT-Authority-CERTIFI...
But when I try to download the User.pem certificate, I get a message saying "no gateway reply".
So, I have two questions. ONe is, do I relly need these two certificates - is it that the asterisk guy is over complicting things?
The other is. if I need this pem file, how can I make the mobile accepct it?

NOKIA ASHA 501 CAMERA SHUTTER SOUND CANT BE TURNED...

Dear Nokia ASHA 501 users there is a bug left by NOKIA in its ASHA 501 you cant switch OFF the camera sound there is ON?OFF slider which is left at ON mode by NOKIA its disabled at that mode you cant scroll it to OFF the shutter sound

If you cant turn it off its set up that way for a reason,its common in most countries for this option to be locked,due to privacy laws.

I brought it in UK , I register in UK, I am in UK and as country i chosen Great Britain.
So it will not be available for me ever? Or if i somehow use india proxy and i will be available to use it after download.

Email is not working in my Nokia Asha 501

I have a nokia asha 501 and there is mail. But we cant read the mail. What is the use of giving us an app which not even useful.
