Grid Lines for each cell

In EXCEL it was easy to add gridlines (borders around each cell). Is there an easy way to add grid line in Numbers so they will print in the final document?

The *Numbers User Guide* is full of useful infos.
Just an example :
We may also do that with *Inspector > Table* .

  • How to set the cell size in grid layout where each cell is a panel

    Hi,
    I am using a grid layout where each cell is a panel. Here I want to
    set size of each panel to be equal irrespective of any. But it is not obliging the setSize().
    no of row in grid - 4
    no of columns - 4
    each cell is a panel. each panel has a label.
    panel.setSize(parent.getWidth(), parent.getWidth()/4); // not working. Size is adjusting to the length of the label.
    I want to force the size of the panel to our preferred size.
    Note: In swing we can use JPanel.setPreferredSize(). Unfortunately I cannot use Swing components. Requirement is awt only.
    Any help in this is highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Kishore

    I observed it is same behavior with gridbag layout. Infact it is gridbag layout only with 4 cells, where first cell should be of constant width (it is base for other cell widths) and other cells are variable (some integer*base width of first cell). I want to set the size of first cell width to be constant.
    Though it is redundant I once again say that it works perfect with setPreferredSize of JComponent.
    But I should not use any swing component/api. This is sytem requirement.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

  • How can I eliminate grid lines of selected cells when printing, in iOS numbers

    How can I eliminate grid lines of selected cells when printing, using iOS numbers

    Hi Cmlgfx,
    Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
    You can style a table to remove grid lines and only show an "outline" around the table itself.
    See this article for help with table styles:
    Numbers for iOS (iPad): Place and style tables
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3365
    To show or hide the table name, table border, and grid lines, alternate row colors, or adjust fonts, tap Table Options at the bottom of the Table window (you may need to scroll up in the window to see it), and then set your preferences using the options in the Table Options window. (When you’re done, tap at the top of the window to see other options.)
    All the best,
    Jeremy

  • Counting the number of lines for each procedure in a package

    Hi,
    I would like to write a query on USER_SOURCE that can display the number of code lines for each procedure/function in a package.
    Is it possible to write such a query? Maybe by using analytical functions?
    for example in the following example i would like to count the lines between "PROCEDURE proc1 IS" and "END proc1;" and between "PROCEDURE proc2 IS" and "END proc2;"
    SQL> select text  from user_source where name='PKG_TEST' and type='PACKAGE BODY';
    TEXT
    PACKAGE BODY PKG_TEST IS
      PROCEDURE proc1 IS
      BEGIN
        update t1 set EDITION_NAME = 'AAAAAAA';
        commit;
      END proc1;
    PROCEDURE proc2 IS
      BEGIN
       update t1 set EDITION_NAME = 'AAAAAAA';
        commit;
      END proc2;
    END PKG_TEST;thanks for helping

    Hopefully some idiot manager isn't trying to use this sort of thing to base their decisions on developer productivity. If so, they ARE idiots. Number of code lines NEVER, EVER, EVER!!! translates into an efficient application. If I were paid by the line, my code would look like:
    select
    1

    Based on the idiocy of this method of determining "performance" I would get paid $5.00 at $1.00/line. And trust me, I saw this back in the 80's and 90's and saw similar idiotic code and had to clean up the mess. Most of it wasn't efficient code to start with let alone the number of lines generated.Or the other extreme, when the PHB firmly believed that execution efficiency was gained by reducing the number of lines of code. So instead of nicely formatted, easy to read code:

  • Changing scaling factor for each cell in Bex Analyzer

    Hi,
    We have a query with 2 structure (1 structure in rows, 1 in columns). We execute the query with Bex Analyzer in Excel.
    We would like to change the scaling factor for each cell. If we use the function 'Properties' for the active cell (context menu), we can change the scaling factor only for one cell.
    Is it possible to change it for the complete table?
    We use BI 7.0, patch 14.
    Thanks,

  • How to get IAttributeStrand for each Cell in Table

    Hello All,
    I am trying to set the font and size depending upon the user inputs under each cell in the table.
    For Text frame I am able to achieve this by using ITextModel->QueryStrand(). But for Table I am not able to find any function which can allow me to query the Cell Strand and allow to apply the attributes.
    Has anyone been able to achieve the same. If so please do let me know its urgent.
    Thank you all in advance.
    regards
    Farzana.

    Hi,<br /> <br />Thanks for the prompt reply. By the way I forgot to mention that we are using the same in CS3.<br />We tried as you have mentioned in your mail. But we did not find any way to achieve the ITextStoryThread from ICellConent. We tried all possible ways but we always get the Text Frame TextModel.<br />We have used following code to get TextModel for each cell. We get correct startindex and endindex for each cell and also get the valid TextModel Interface. But when we try to find out its length then it returns the whole TextModel length. <br />Thus when we try to apply different attributes for each cell then it applies to whole table. <br />E.g. When we try to apply 12 font size for 1st cell then it also applies to remaining cells.  So we think we are not able to find out correct TextModel for each cell. <br /> <br />Below is our snippet of code on what we tried.<br /> <br />ITableModel::const_iterator iterTable(tableModel->begin());<br />ITableModel::const_iterator end(tableModel->end());<br /> <br />while(iterTable != end) <br />{<br />GridAddress gridAddress = *iterTable; <br />GridID gridid= tableModel->GetGridID(gridAddress);<br /> <br />   InterfacePtr<ITableTextContainer> tableTextContainer(tableModel, UseDefaultIID());<br />   if(tableTextContainer != nil) <br />   {<br />       InterfacePtr<ITextModel> textModel(tableTextContainer->QueryTextModel());<br />       if(textModel != nil) <br />       {<br />          InterfacePtr<ITextStoryThreadDict> textStoryThreadDict(tableModel, UseDefaultIID());<br />          if (textStoryThreadDict != nil) <br />          {<br />              InterfacePtr<ITextStoryThread> textStoryThread(textStoryThreadDict->QueryThread(gridid));<br />              if (textStoryThread != nil)<br />              {<br />                 InterfacePtr<ITextModel> iTextModel(textStoryThread->QueryTextModel());<br />                 if (iTextModel != nil)<br />                 {<br />                      TextIndex startIndx;<br />                      TextIndex endIndx;<br />                      startIndx=textStoryThread->GetTextStart(&endIndx);<br />                 }<br />                 else<br />                     CAlert::ErrorAlert("iTextModel == nil");<br />             }<br />          }<br />       } <br />   }<br />                                     <br />   ++iterTable;    <br /> }<br /><br />Regards,<br />Farzana.

  • Different link for each cell on table item

    hello..,
    I have one table item on my WAD template.
    I created Characteristic Structure/Selection for rows and Key Figure Structure/Selection for columns.
    There is a requirement to jump to different report for each cell on that table.
    Is it possible?
    I try to created class "ZCL_MYCLASS" with superclass of "CL_RSR_WWW_MODIFY_TABLE".
    And put some code on HTML as below:
    <P><object>
             <param name="OWNER" value="SAP_BW"/>
             <param name="CMD" value="GET_ITEM"/>
             <param name="NAME" value="TABLE"/>
             <param name="ITEM_CLASS" value="CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_GRID"/>
             <param name="DATA_PROVIDER" value="DATAPROVIDER"/>
             <param name="MODIFY_CLASS" value="ZCL_MYCLASS"/>
             ITEM:            TABLE
    </object></P>
    For testing purpose, I put coding on CHARACTERISTIC_CELL method:
    if I_CHAVL = 'Revenue'. "This is selection description
    c_cell_content = 'R_e_v_e_n_u_e'.
    endif.
    But, it seems that it doesn't work.
    The question:
    1. How do I create simple MODIFY_CLASS, just for testing purpose that what I modify in class is already correct.
    2. How to debug class on WAD?
    Thanks in advance

    Not statically, but you can do this in code:
    That's a method on the left and a property on the right.
    I don't know if this will work as you expect (it should change the tip strip, but I don't know if it will appear like you want it to), so you can also implement this yourself by having a string indicator which you show and move around using its properties.
    Try to take over the world!

  • BAM : Crosstab : Need to get percentage of row total for each cell

    Hi,
    I am new to BAM. I have a requirement for which I am using crosstab. Basically, I need to show number instances per human task per user. Human Task is the row header, user is the column header, and I am using count(instance id) to fetch the count of instances. I am able to show the sum of values for each row and column, but I also need to show the percentage for each cell(based on row total).
    I do not know if it is possible to fetch the total for further calculations. I believe the calculated field will be processed for each cell, and hence there will be no sum available.
    Also, crosstab does not have a percent of total aggregate function.
    Kindly advise.
    Regards,
    Himanshu

    Hi,
    For constructing summary, COLLECT is very useful.
    1. Create one new internal table STAB having two fields.
       a) licensetype
       b) cnt
    2. Suppose your original internal table is itab.
    Loop at ITAB.
    STAB-licensetype = itab-licensetype.
    STAB-CNT = 1.
    COLLECT STAB.
    EndLoop.
    3. In this way, you will get DISTINCT license types, and their count.
    Hope this helps.
    regards,
    amit m.

    if u want to set label and textfield side by side .
    then u have to set The layout is GridLayout().
    to ur example
    Panel p=new Panel(new GridaLayout(3,2))
    means three rows to columns.

    Now my problem is, that I need for every ROW of my table UI Element a different cell editor. I know how to change it for the column. But is not my issue. I want to have images (traffic lights red and green) in some rows. The other rows should have numbers. The coding works, so that I have all the data at the right place in my table, only the images are shown as a string, because the cells of these rows have the cell editor Text_View. I tried something with cell variants (with cl_wd_table_standard_cell), but it was not possible for me to get a cell variant "image" in these cells/rows were I need it.
    I hope you understand my problem and now what to do here.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

  • Horizontal lines for each rows in the rtf template

    Hi,
    I am a newbie for XML Publisher. I just created a XML Publisher report for Vendor invoices. But for each invoice/invoice line rows I am getting a horizontal line which separates each row. But I just wanted the vertical line to separate the columns and not for the rows.
    For example, the output looks like
    Invoice number | Item Description| Quantity|
    123__________| xyz__________|_____30 |
    _____________| xyz__________|_____30 |
    _____________| xyz__________|_____30 |
    345__________| xyz__________|_____30 |
    I am getting the report some this like this. But I need the report like below,
    Invoice number | Item Description| Quantity|
    123__________| xyz__________|_____30 |
    _____________| xyz__________|_____30 |
    _____________| xyz__________|_____30 |
    345__________| xyz__________|_____30 |
    (Please consider the ____ as space)
    Please suggest me some solution. tons of thanks in advance.

    Hi Vetsrini,
    Thanks for your prompt reply. I hope I had put the tag that you had mentioned. But anyhow I had sent your the template and the sample XML file to see the output.
    I have one more question also I want a curvey edge for the table and no tthe sharp edge like this _|. If possible please suggest for this also.
    Looking forward for your reply.

    Dear,
    Add the UDF's on the marketing document you want the tax break up.
    Apply FMS using below queries and call these UDF's on your PLD.
    FOR BED
    DECLARE @Amount as Numeric(19,2)
    DECLARE @Rate as Numeric(19,0)
    DECLARE @TAmount as Numeric(19,2)
    set @TAmount =$[$38.21.Number]
    SELECT    @Rate=STA1.Rate
    FROM         OSTC INNER JOIN
                          STC1 ON OSTC.Code = STC1.STCCode INNER JOIN
