Hello, I have an old Programm in which a portname and a value is extracted from a cluster input and then the Port gets configured (PortConfig.vi) and the value is written (PortWrite.vi). Now with a DIO96 I have to Configure multiple Ports at a time (to avoid the resetting) should I do this with Group config and Group Write or is there a way to do this with some Port configs and then do the port write? How can I be sure that the right Portname is used for the right portvalue to be written? Please see Picture included.

Hello,
I think you have two choices. The most straightforward way is to use a separate Port Config for each port you want to use. Then you can control all of them independently.
The second way is to use a Group Config for a group of ports. Then you can read/write to the whole group (you will provide all the data together in one input). However with this method, I think you can only use ports from the same 8255 chip. So you could group ports A, B, and C from the same 8255 chip, but could not use port A from one 8255 and port A from another together.
Just for your reference, I searched ni.com/support for <+port +group +config> (without the <>) and got lots of good results.

There are DIO shipping examples in LV 6i which are designed to be used with the 8255 PPI boards, like yours. If you can find them in Search Examples-> I/O Interfaces -> Data Acquisition -> Digital Input and Output -> Immediate Digital Input and Output. You may have to modify them a little bit, but they are a good start point.

What Best Approach Tuxedo offers for Integrating Multiple Apps
Hi Tuxedo Experts,
I have a question in a scenario where I am planning to integrate multiple applications through Oracle Tuxedo. I will not be using it as a Transaction Processing System. Rather, I am trying to use it as an integration layer (somewhat like ESB). I have a couple of enterprise applications (Siebel & SAP), some telco system that only accept MML commands on a given port and some custom built applications. I have to design and implement the integration layer for this stack of applicaitons.
As far as I have understood Oracle Tuxedo, I will have to develop Tuxedo client for each application and then make the clients do all integration related work (like an applicaiton adapter/wrapper). I am not thinking about work on SALT to expose web services throught Tuxedo, since web services can be created and exposed more easily without Tuxedo. So, I guess I have to do one client per application. First thing that I wanted to confirm was, am I on right track considering my scenario? or Oracle Tuxedo can offer a better approach for my scenario?
Since I will be developing clients for each application that I integrate, would it be good if I skip the server all together and follow the Queue based communication (Peer-to-Peer Asynchronous Messaging Model)? Or will it cause any implications?
Any guidance/tips is highly appreciated.

Many customers use Tuxedo as a form of ESB. Partly due to its performance and scalability, but also partly due to its connectivity options. Along with SALT, Tuxedo provides connectivity to:
JEE via WebLogic Tuxedo Connector in WebLogic Server, or the Tuxedo JCA Adapter
Mainframes using the Tuxedo mainframe adapters (SNA and TCP for IBM mainframes and OSI-TP for Bull GCOS and the like)
IBM Websphere MQ adapter
The above are all transparent to Tuxedo clients and servers, i.e., using the SNA mainframe adapter, CICS applications see Tuxedo services as a DPL or APPC remote transaction, and Tuxedo see those CICS resources as Tuxedo services.
As for writing clients, etc., the real question is where do you want the adopting (? maybe adaptation?) done and how can the systems needing integration communicate with Tuxedo. For example, as I mentioned in another thread, any service advertised in Tuxedo can be accessed as a SOAP/HTTP(S) web service. Siebel allows calling external web services as business services. SAP allows calling into it via Remote Function Calls (RFCs). So you could expose an SAP function module as a Tuxedo service writing a trivial Tuxedo server that uses RFC to call SAP. Then expose that Tuxedo service as a web service and call it from Siebel. The real issue becomes whether the SAP function module has the kind of interface you want or need. If not, you could potentially alter the interface to the SAP function module by changing the simple Tuxedo server and not trying to change SAP.
Using the above technique, you only need one mechanism in Siebel to interact with any other system, as the mechanics of the communication are hidden. So the same technique (client as you were referring to it I believe) can be used to communicate with SAP and any other external system. For instance, let's say you have an external system you want to call from Siebel and the external system uses IBM WebSphere MQ Series in an asynchronous fashion. You could probably directly build an MQ client in Siebel to communicate with that remote system, but then your Siebel code has explicit knowledge of that remote system and how to communicate with it. If you already have a means of communicating with Tuxedo, you can use the same mechanism to communicate with the external system again by writing a simple Tuxedo server that accepts the request from Siebel and then enqueues the request (with perhaps some transformation first) to MQ, and then waits for a reply on the appropriate MQ reply queue. Thus Siebel sees a synchronous interaction even though the system it is communicating with is operating asynchronously.
The primary advantage of the above technique is you only have to develop one form of communication for each system, instead of a point to point mess you might otherwise end up with.
Of course the above can also be done with something like Oracle Service Bus, but it sounded as though you had specific reasons for using Tuxedo. OSB might be especially appealing if most of the system to integrate already use XML as OSB is very good at performing XML transformations, something Tuxedo isn't especially strong at.

Error: "File couldn't be opened for writing" with CinemaDNG sequence
Using a Premiere Pro > After Effects workflow with my colorist.
I created a project in Premiere CS6 and used MOV transcodes because Premiere CS6 does not read CinemaDNG sequences. I do not have CC installed on my computer. My colorist, on his computer (we are both using Mavericks), imported the .prproj into AE CS6. We tried to replace MOV files with CinemaDNG sequences, and AE returned this error:
After Effects error: File couldn't be opened for writing: "[file path]". ( 3 :: 0 )
Normally when you replace footage with a CinemaDNG sequence in AE, Adobe Camera Raw pops open so you can make changes before the file is important. I have never seen this error before.
My colorist has CC installed as well as CS6, so we tried that instead.
Colorist opened the Premiere CS6 project in Premiere CC, creating a new Premiere CC project. Replaced MOV files with CinemaDNG sequences within Premiere CC with no error, project plays fine in Premiere CC. Finally! So we imported the new Premiere CC project in AE CC, and all linked CinemaDNG sequences appear as color bars (unlinked footage). When testing to import a CinemaDNG sequence, AE CC returned the same error as AE CS6.
So we tried opening the same CinemaDNG files in Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC to see if there was an error with Camera Raw. Both versions of Photoshop open the CinemaDNG files correctly in Camera Raw (version 8.3). So now we have CinemaDNG files functioning properly in Premiere Pro, Photoshop, but... not AE?
Tried replicating this on a second, Mountain Lion computer with both versions of AE, and returned the same issue.
CinemaDNG files from a different source DID open in AE CC and AE CS6 on both computers, which leads me to believe there is some kind of permissions/metadata issue in this particular set of CinemaDNG files I'm using that's causing problems for AE, but NOT Premiere Pro or Photoshop. IPad mini for writing word documents?
Can I use the iPad mini for writing word documents etc. Or even if I can use an app and export it for word etc. Is it already loaded app or do I have to buy it?
Pages, Keynote and Numbers make up the iWork's suite of apps.
As long as both iPads are using the same Apple ID for purchases from the App Store you could purchase Pages only once. There are drawbacks for using the same Apple ID on multiple devices when those devices are used by different people.
Pages will export documents in Word format so that can be opened by Word on a Mac or PC. Pages is a nice app but it is not as all encompassing as Word on your regular computer. There is some formatting that can be done in .word that will not translate in Pages. Even with that though I find Pages a good App. -
Input needed for writing data back into BW/ECC data

We do not have integrated planning in our current system configuration currently.

I am aware of few BAPI's such as RSDRI_ODSO_INSERT_RFC but I am not aware of what action has to be used to transfer the data from the table within VC to this BAPI and how to define the parameters as the one's available for the BAPI I mentioned do not fit into the data I have in the table within VC.
The following are the columns I have in the table within VC,
1. GL Account
2. Credit Amount
3. Debit Amount
4. Sales Amount
I have defined the DSO with the same where G/L Account is the keyfield and the rest being data fields.
Any help would be really appreciated.

SAPCAR: could not open for writing SAPCAR (error 28). Text file busy

I´m trying to decompress this file( is for a kernel upgrade):
SAPEXE_15-10006264.SAR
And when I do SAPCAR u2013xvf SAPEXE_15-10006264.SAR, SAPCAR only decompress a few files and I´ve this error:

Instead when I decompress the SAPEXEDB_15-10006263.SAR, SAPCAR does this correctly. I´ve tried to download again the file but the error is always the same.Could someone help me?

Hello there - Before I explain my issue, I would like to point out that I have reviewed some other discussions on selecting default values for multiple selection listbox. But my issue is specific and different, and not answered by any of the discussions
I visited.
I have a multiple selection list box (say for example all countries in the world as values), and I would like to pre-select or setup multiple default values (say five countries) based on some criteria that I query from MS SQL database table.
I know we can go to Data | Default Values option to setup one or many default values for multiple selection list box. When I enter the default values manually this works. I also right click the field under the Multiple-Selection List Box group, then select
Add another Value Below and set the Default Value for this field to setup multiple default values.
However, if I reference a field (either an infopath field or a field from SQL database) I am not able to setup multiple default values. Infopath automatically selects the last field I selected for all instances and in the end I am able to see only one
default value selected instead of many. How to fix this problem? Why would infopath allow multiple default values when we enter it manually but not when we reference some fields?
Please let me know if you need more info. Appreciate your help.

I did a test with SQL database table. I set three default values for the checkbox list by adding three values field under the group field(Data->Default values), each value field is for a default value. Then publish it to my SharePoint site, everything

Vi error on nfs mount; E212: Can't open file for writing
Hi all,
I've setup a umask of 0 for testing on both NFS client (Centos 5.2) and NFS server (OSX 10.5.5 server).
I can create files as one user and edit/save out as another user w/o issue when directly logged into the server via ARD.
However, when I attempt the same from an NFS mount on a client machine, even as root I get the following error using vi;
"file" E212: Can't open file for writing
Looking at the system.log file on the server, I see;
kernel[0]: add_fsevent: no name hard-link! dropping the event. (event 2 vp == 0xa5db510 (-UNKNOWN-FILE)).
This baffles me. My umask is 0 meaning files I create and attempt to edit as other users are 777, but I cannot save out edits unless I do a wq! in vi. At that point, the owner of the file changes to whomever did the vi.
This isn't just a vi issue as it happens using any editor, but I like to use vi.

I've narrowed it down to a Centos client issue.
Everything works fine using other Linux based OS's as clients.
Since we have such a huge investment in Centos, I must figure out a workaround. Apple support wasn't much help as usual however they were very nice.
There usual response is "its unsupported".
If Apple really wants to play in the enterprise of business space, they really need to change there philosophy. I mean telling me that I shouldn't mount home directories via NFS is completely rediculus.
What am I supposed to use then, Samba of AFP? No, I don't think so. No offense to Microsoft but why would I use a Windows based file sharing protocol to mount network shares in a Nix env??? -
How do we split our iCloud accounts but keep one iTunes account so we can share purchased content for our multiple iPhones and iPads?
You can migrate a copy of the data to a new account, then delete the other person's data from each account. To do this, on the phone that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that you want to keep on the phone, save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll. If you have any synced notes that you want to keep on the phone, email these to yourself so you can create new notes in the new account.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account. You will create a new icloud email address with you turn Mail to On.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting your wife's data from your account, and vice versa). -

Any help is appreciated!!This might indicate a problem in AME CS5, but we'll need more information about the clip--and possibly a copy of it--before we can make that judgment.
If the clip plays on Computer X but not on Computer Y, that could indicate that X has a certain codec that's missing on Y.
What codec is the clip? What's the extension of the filename (which equates roughly to the type of wrapper)?
What are the origins of the clip? (e.g., is it straight off of a camera? or was it encoded by another program?)
Do you have AME 5.0.1 installed on both computers? -
