How Do I Create a Page Break In Pages For iPad? This time it's different!
I know this has been asked a million times before but my situation is different. On apple help it says place the insertion point where you want the break to happen. How do i move the insertion point? I can only move it by typing and then it only works for the first page. All the other pages i've had to use text boxes to type and now i've resorted to finishing the document on my computer Please help!
No it does not have to be only body test, but you are trying to put the page break into a text box.
Touch the area outside the text box, that is the body of the document and you can insert a page break there.
I have page breaks and text boxes no problem in my docs, it is just a case of knowing what you are doing.
Text boxes sit on top of the body of the document, the body text needs to run under the document, no need to have text in it, it just needs to be there.

I use the Preview app to annotate my notes for class. It use to be where I could add text where ever I wanted on the screen just by double clicking. Now since I downloaded Yosemite I have to click on the text box icon at the top each time and it adds the text box in the middle and I have to move it to where I want it. This is very inconvenient for class. Any suggestions on how to get the old preview back or fix this problem?
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Using Nightly 28.0a1, I'm having a problem with the text box fields when typing. I use Hacker's Keyboard which has onscreen arrow keys and I find it more convenient than fiddling with a tiny cursor thumb when editing text. On the Play Store Firefox it works just fine but on Nightly, any time I try to move the cursor with the arrow keys it jumps out of the text box and highlights other elements on the page. This is annoying beyond belief as it means having to resort to that imprecise thumb cursor that takes forever to get where you want it. Is this a known issue with the latest nightly builds?

I'm after some help with my Macbook Pro.. I have several mac laptops at home from powerbook, macbook pro and a macbook...
I wanted to do a reinstall of the macbook pro software so i dug out the discs and started the process. the discs say the version of os x is 10.4.5 and during the install of cd1 i got an error but i was able to click on continue and the install seemed to be going ok. At cd 2 the install started but suddenly came to end and said that there was a problem and to start the install again. the cds appear to have become damaged in storage so there are scratches on them...
So from there i have tried to find replacement cds to complete the install...
i recently managed to get the install cds for a macbook pro with version 10.4.9 on them. i have put the disc 1 in and started the install but i get a message saying, these are genuine install cd's that i bought from ebay.
"this software cannot be used on this machine"
Not matter what i try i am stuck half way through an old install and unable to move on.. can anyone help me with this... i have install cd's for my macbook and my old powerbook but nothing seems to work.
can any help me get by this?

According to [THIS PAGE|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1159?viewlocale=en_US] your MBP was probably the model introduced in Feb 2006, which never shipped with an OS version higher than 10.4.6. The only MBP model that shipped with 10.4.9 was the one introduced in June 2007, so it could not have been the same model as yours.
I think all Apple need is your MBP's serial number in order to sell you the proper disks for your machine. -
When using the "Fill & Sign PDF" feature, is there a way to stretch to size the text box on a specific area of the page...instead of the text box going on in one straight long line....? I'm not seeing there's an option or ability to do so, just wanting to confirm.
Improving the handling of multiple line text fields is in our plans, but for now, you will have to add manual carriage returns (Enter).

I can't figure out why there is all this extra white space in the text box on iPages. I want to have the first line of my text be at the top of the text box. I'm not able to pull the top line of the text box down to it.

Does anyone run into this problem when capturing the user answer for a random question slide? Adobe Captivate 8 system variable "cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice" is empty for random multiple-choice questions.

The reason I am interested in capturing the user answers in Submit All situation is that I know after I published the test using SCORM 2004, all the user responses were captured in "cmi.suspend_data" because my test can resume the test to the last exit question in the middle. However, when I looked at the suspend data value, I have a hard time to understand the pattern and pick out the meaningful user question responses data. I really need help from you to understand how the suspend data value was constructed and how to parse this data. Another area I thought it's easy to get the user question responses data is the interaction records, but I always got only one question (the last randomly sampled question) interaction record. See the following generated XML SCORM 2004 4th edition data. Could you help me figure out how to interpret the following suspend data to get the users responses to each test question? Can you no longer have a background color for the text box in the new version of hp photo creations
just updated to the new version of HP Photo Creations, used to be able to have a colored background for the text box - is that no longer possible in this new (not better) version????!!!!! Uuuuuuuuuugh

Thanks for asking. We're working on bringing back that feature. In the meantime, here's another way to add text backgrounds: Add a placeable graphic and then click the Arrange button to send it to the back, behind the text.
That approach also gives you more interesting shapes. The new alignment guides make it a snap to align a graphic with a text box. In the example below (it may take a day for the image to show up here), I also used the new Premium Editing Features to change the color of the graphic.
P.S. — Applying a thick border to an empty text box (also using the Premium Editing Features) is another way to create a background shape. That has the advantage of letting you pick any color for the box. You'll also find several new text styles at the bottom of the new text menu.

I am trying to use motion tracking to have text follow a section of the background.The text box follows the motion path, but the text just sits there. What am I doing wrong?
Motion basically looks at the the source footage and it's timing (in the timing section of the Inspector) when analyzing for tracking. Filters are basically ignored by the tracker. Retiming actions, like time re-mapping, or retiming behaviors that are applied before the tracker should be used by the tracker. Did you change the timing after doing the tracking? If so this would also require you to re-track the shot. Understanding that you found a workaround, describing the effects you applied would help to explain why you ran into problems.

I can't find a way to add text to a photo once it's been put into the top pane of the calendar month...is there a way to do this since I'd like to add a descriptor to the photos? Bad idea. There are no supported iPhone carriers in Iceland, thus some features may or may not work. Further, there will be no warranty or support for a US purchased iPhone in Iceland...your friend will be on their own. If you still want to go down this road, make sure you purchase an officially unlocked iPhone(GSM model) directly from Apple.
