GRUB wont load arch, no idea what to do
A fresh install following this tutorial:http://wideaperture.net/blog/?p=3851 and the page for GRUB, i installed arch on my system. however, when iboot, it takes me to the GRUB cmd line thing.
for me /mnt is /dev/sda3, so i type
set root=(hd0,3)
chainloader +1
At this point i get an invalid signature error.
/boot is on /dev/sda1 though so i can boot (hd0,1) with no issues, but its just another cmd line.
I have tried practically everyhing to get this working, some solutions talk of a kernel26.img and vmlinuz but i dont have those in my /boot?
Sorry for the typos my pc is obviously occupied, on my tablet to post this.

I am pointing to sda because on the wiki it points to sda.
Well, you have to amend the wiki instructions to suit your particular setup, not just copy/paste and hope...
Considering the cpmmands are practically the same between the blog and wiki installation guide, i dont see how its the guide thst ismfucked up.
How will inget the results from my arch to here?

Yeah, I am chrooted into my installation, but how do I get the results back? I still havent installed a gui yet (I installed the base packages for cinnamon but no luck setting that up)
Tbh I think he problem is with how I set up GRUB.
I had to use --force when using grub-install because of the error it says there, but that is the only change I made.

Hi, I've installed Windows 7 today and I discovered that grub wasn't working, so I performed a reinstall of archlinux and grub, but nothing happens after that the installation completes. For the moment i'm using a ubuntu livecd. I wanted to se if there was wrong with the grub file, but nothing there
As you can see i have not even made windows 7 active. But grub wont show up and windows 7 boots up instead of grub.

#chainloader +1Sounds to me like you didn't install GRUB to the MBR of the drive. Mardoct is right, it'll be hda or sda, depending on the type of drive you have and saying that that's the drive you're installing on.

My ipod touch (geration 4) wont load my internet it just keeps giving me the loading sign. It was working perfectly fine untill yesterday for some random reason and now it wont load at all. Again it just gives me a loading sign and the wifi symbol wont come up.
Does the iPod connect to other networks?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

I've been toying around with an Arch x86_64 Live Boot trying to get it installed on an external drive, and have run into a roadblock. I got it installed, but I think I may have messed up the GRUB install. I'm 99% certain I'm supposed to be using and EFI bootloader with bootloader, so I installed GRUB according to this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GR … _systems_2 However, after I do all the configuration stuff from the Unofficial Beginners guide and reboot into the external drive, I get "error: file '/boot/grub/i386-pc/normal.mod' not found." Why would it be looking for an i386 file? Will I need to just delete GRUB and reinstall it via the liveboot?
EDIT- I suppose it wouldn't hurt to include some additional information. All the partitions are logical, sda5 is an ext4 root, sda6 is xfs /home, and sda7 is fat32 /boot/efi. sda7 has the boot flag enabled.

Prior to June of 2011, no official Linux filesystem GUID type code existed; Linux partitions typically took the same code as Windows partitions. This can cause problems, though, because Windows sees the Linux partitions as unformatted Windows partitions, and offers to format them—something you don't want to do! The new 0x8300 type code (or 0FC63DAF-8483-4772-8E79-3D69D8477DE4) avoids that problem, so I recommend you use it on Linux partitions."

New to iTunes. Have large library entirely from legit CDs purchased. Only about a third of my libabry downloads into i tunes and even new, common CDs dont seem to load up ( example, Real Live Roadrunning- Mark Knopfler and Emmy Lou Harris) when I try to transfer in tunes from my CD. Is there some trick to this? Thanks in advance for the advice.
Both, but that helped. After different tries at one point it prompted a reformat from wma and that did the trick. Deleted the iTunes library and rebuilt from scratch reformated. The cd import had dropped it into a file in neither Zune, nor iTunes, nor "music". I stumbled acorss it hours later..have to figure out how to do that better. Thanks.

Suddenly itunes stopped loading. I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it but it wont load saying the Java sript core.dll is not valid. What do i do to fix this? And will i be able to get my downloads back?
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (Although the procedure is for Vista and 7 and you've got XP, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

In your Start menu, right-click Computer and select "Manage".
Expand "Services & Applications".
Open "Services". (Perhaps maximise the screen to better see what's going on.)
Right-click the Bonjour Service and select "Properties".
In the General tab, set the Startup type to "Disabled":
... and click OK.
Restart the PC and try launching iTunes. Does it open this time? -

In trying to include what information all that I could I should have specified I DON'T KNOW THAT IT WAS DEFINATELY JAILBROKEN when I took it to the apple store they told me there's no way for them to tell if it was jail broken or not. I'm only going by what ppl have told me COULD HAVE BEEN DONE TO THE PHONE. With that said the only thing I know for sure is that the apple tech at the Genius Bar told me that someone took control of my root menu in February & I've had no control of my phone since. I asked him how to regain control & how he knew his exact words were "oh that is out of our scope of capabilities here at this level & you would need an apple engineer to fix it". I said ok then how do I get an apple eng then? He laughed & said you can't!!!! To which I was furious I came home & called apple requesting to speak w/the fraud dept to file a report they said we don't have a fraud dept!! So after a 45 mn phone call again I left w/no answers.

Macbook pro keeps cutting out then wont turn on for a while then when it does same thing happens! Happens with charger plugged in or not and green charge light stays on even when it cuts out and cant be turned on! Does any1 have any idea what the problem is?
