GTC Connector_Trusted recon

I am trying to do flatfile trusted recon of user containing roles and group as child table using GTC feature.
created 3 files one with userdata(login id, fname, lname, email)and userdataRole(login id, rolename, roletype) and userdataGroup(login id, groupname, grouptype) kept in two folders one for userdata and kept userdataRole and userdataGroup in one folder and specified the folder names
created GTC connector by giving the userdata as parentform and roles and group files childforms.
I am in confussion how to create mapping for roles and groups between source and OIM staging, OIM staging and OIM.
at the mapping i am getting only login id, fname, lname, email at source do i need to create rolename and group name as fileds.... but i don't see any role and group related fileds in OIM attributes to map between OIM stagng and OIM....
can anyone please mention how to do role and group mapping between source, OIM staging and OIM destination

Trusted source reconciliation involves fetching data about newly created or modified accounts on the target system and using that data to create or update OIM Users.
You need to use target system reconciliation and provision.

This happens with other default OIM field:
    - Hire Date
    - Display Name
    Any idea?
Are there any workaround for this?
    Thanks,

    Hi!
I found the bug in metalink "Bug 10041190 GTC Recon Failed With new OIM UDF Attribute Map If Attribute Name Has Space"
The workaround is: Don't use UDF's with a space in the attribute name.
This issue is fixed in 11.1.1.3.2

  • Issue in evaluation of Role Membership Rule in gtc trusted recon.

    Hi All,
I got a issue in evaluation of role membership in gtc trusted recon.
i created a custom UDF in user profile.i am updating that field from gtc trusted recon.
i created a rule based on that custom UDF.But that is not triggering while we run the gtc trusted recon.users are coming to oim from database .but rule is not evaluating.
if we manually create any user rule is evaluating.role is assingning .
how to solve this problem.it is very urgent for me.
    thanks in advance.

that udf field is mobile status.it is custom udf .

Validation Event handlers will not work with your trusted recon. You can use the GTC Validation provider, it is nothing but the plugins which you can insert with in your source field in GTC. I think you can easily get the steps for how to create a custom GTC Providers.

  • GTC Target Recon Error

    Hi,
I have configured GTC for target recon. Whenever I update a user record in the file, user details are getting udpated in OIM but for every update new instance of GTC RO is getting added in the resource profile for the user.
Please let me know how to solve this.
    Thanks in Advance.

For all such cases with Parent-Child data, always remember to make following things as key field.
    - Parent form primary field as a key field
    - All Child table data as a key field (say if their is 'RoleName' and 'RoleType' then make both of them as key field)
    - Do it for all the child forms.
And Recon Rule doesn't make any difference over here, that's just for initial linking of user to account. You should be done.
    Thanks
    Sunny

Do you see the reconciliation event being generated for these changes in OIM User management -> Reconciliation Manager.
    - If yes the see that the updated values are brought into OIM
    - And then look at the Reconciliation Event History tab to see what is the current status of this event. Is it showing some sort of match being found.

    Definitely there are mandatory fields.

  • Error when mapping start date to hire date in GTC

i'm trying to use gtc trusted recon to provision users in OIM. i am trying to include a start date in my flat file and mapping that to Hire Date on the OIM column in the gtc connector.
    i'm seeing the following exception:
    <Mar 28, 2011 2:10:57 PM EDT> <Error> <oracle.iam.reconciliation.impl> <IAM-5010000> <Generic Error/Information: {0}
oracle.iam.platform.utils.SuperRuntimeException: -9: Attribute field (HIRE_DATE) does not exist in table USR.
         at oracle.iam.reconciliation.dao.ReconActionDao.executeBulkUserMatchCRUD(ReconActionDao.java:697)
I've tried a couple of different things here. I first tried supplying the start date field in my flat file with my source data format as yyyy/MM/dd hh:mm:ss z
and the value in the file as 2011/03/29 06:30:00 EDT. when that didn't work, I set the variable in the staging of the gtc to a literal value (2011/03/29 06:30:00 EDT) instead of getting it from source. But in both instances I'm seeing the above exception. anyone seen this before
    thanks

rajiv, you are saying to create a new user defined field which i would then map my start date field in gtc to?
first question with this approach is, shouldn't i be able to use the OOTB Hire Date? Or are you saying this is a bug in OIM
second, i did try your suggestion, but it is still not working. i'm no longer seeing that error, but at the same time i'm not seeing any exceptions in any of the logs

  • OIM11g - GTC Trusted - Events are in Data Received state

    Hi all,
I ran GTC Trusted Recon. I have received close to 15k events. But all the events are in data received state. I can see the keyfield given in recon rules in event manager.
I have set the recon batch size as 300.
I tried to evaluate manually, which is invain. Gives me exception stating "Cannot be re-evaluated because of the batch is processed yet."
Also, I cannot find "Resubmit Reconciliation Events" schedule job in OIM11g.
What is "Data Received" state and how to make these events get processed.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Regards
    Vicky

    Hi vicky.
Could you solve this problem? I am working in a project that is facing the same problem. The costumer created an GTC connector and all events reconciled by this connector are in 'Data Received' status. It is happening in the Production Enviroment and it is clustered. This problem does not happen in the other costumer enviroments.

  • OIM 11gR2 : GTC working but no entry in USR

    Hi,
I am running a GTC for recon with the ODS. I am getting no errors in the error log, the scheduler runs the GTC job absolutely fine but i am not getting the recon entry in the USR table. Kindly help.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Are there any recon events created?

  • Regarding Generic Technology Connector OIM

    Hi,
With what type of resources can we use a generic technology connector (GTC) for recon and provisioning ?
Can it be used for recon/provisioning with common resources like AD, ACF2 or simply with resources like flat file, ODS ?
    Kindly reply.
    Kind Regards,
    Varun

For AD, ACF2 etc quite sophisticated OOTB connectors are already available. GTC is only for Flat File etc.
GTC is a buggy technology and not recommended to be used.
