Hi Experts,

000000000000000004 ROH 00000000
Thamnks in advance
Hi,
WRITE_FIELD_SEPARATOR = ' | '
WRITE_FIELD_SEPARATOR in GUI_DOWNLOAD works in SAP R/3 4.7 and later version.
or for example:
report ZFIELD_SEPARATOR.
data: begin of ioutput occurs 0,
rect(1000) type c,
end of ioutput.
data: begin of itab occurs 0,
field1(1) type c,
field2(2) type c,
field3(3) type c,
end of itab.
itab-field1 = 'A'.
itab-field2 = 'B'.
itab-field3 = 'C'.
append itab.
itab-field1 = '1'.
itab-field2 = '2'.
itab-field3 = '3'.
append itab.
itab-field1 = '$'.
itab-field2 = '@'.
itab-field3 = '#'.
append itab.
loop at itab.
concatenate itab-field1
itab-field2
itab-field3
into iout-rect
separated by '|'.
condense ioutput-rect no-gaps.
append ioutput.
endloop.
call function 'GUI_DOWNLOAD'
exporting
filename = 'C:/test.txt'
tables
data_tab = ioutput

Tax classification fields are not appeared in master data
Dear Experts,
I searched the forum about my issue but i did not get any solution.
I am not able to see the tax classification fields in customer master and material master.Even i assigned Country IN to JLST and JCST condition types by T-code OVK1.
FYI
I have copied the org elements from standard (which are already given by default).Initially i was able to see 2 different countries with tax MWST in both customer master and material master.
EX:
AT MWST
DE MWST
But i do not wanted these. so i deleted these assignment from OVK1 and assigned country IN to JLST and JCST,and i went to customer master and material master but those fields are not appeared.
Note:Country of plant,company code and sales organizations is IN
Help me to view tax classification fields in Master data.
Thanks&Regards
Ravikumar.RThen how system knows this customer is liable for JLST.
In customer master, under the Taxes tab, it would be like
Country::::Name:::::Tax Cat.::::Description::::Tax Classification
While creating customer master, if your configuration is in line with standard, then under the tab Tax category, you can see MWST flowing automatically. You just have to input tax classification as 1, 2 etc.,
Also since as you said above, you are maintaining the combination of country/plant region/customer region/customer tax classification/material tax classification, you can very well differentiate VAT & CST.
Wherever customer region comes as your plant region, assign VAT tax code and wherever, customer region differs from plant region, assign CST tax code in VK11.

Vertical Elasticity on Field is not working when the data contains - in it.
Hi,
I have a report which has to print a large invoice number(around 30 characters) per invoice line, but I got only space for 12-14 characters, so I have set the vertical elasticity property of the field to Expand which makes the data to wrap to the next line.
But if the data contains any '-' character in it, the data wraps to the next line even though there is enough space on the current line.
Sample outputs:
When the vertical elasticity is set to Expand
<p>
Invoice Number Invoice Description
123456789023 First Invoice on first line
345678957694
347634763476
12345678- Second Invoice but the number gets wrapped because of the hyphen
345734573476
569456573456
When the vertical elasticity is set to Fixed
Invoice Number Invoice Description
123456789023 First Invoice on first line
12345678-345 Second Invoice but the number does not get wrapped after hyphen
</p>
Is it a bug on reports editor, how do I avoid this?
I would like to see the output like the following,
Invoice Number Invoice Description
123456789023 First Invoice on first line
345678957694
347634763476
12345678-345 Second Invoice number with correct format.
734573476569
456573456
PS: The version of the Report Builder is 10.1.2.0.2
Thanks in Advance,
SenthilIt looks as if the logic that Oracle Reports uses to determine where to break the line is interpreting the "-" character differently from other characters. This is probably because it is used (at least in English) to break words at the end of a line (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyphen#Justification_and_line-wrapping).
One workaround might be to replace "-" character with another character (or more) that looks the same (or similar), but that Oracle Reports does not interpret differently from other characters. For me (on Windows), CHR(173) seems to work. However, whether or not it works for you will depend on whatever character set(s) you're using. The same goes for the Unicode characters like U+2010 (hyphen), U+2011 (non-breaking hyphen), and U+2212 (minus).
For example, in your data model, you might try replacing your current invoice number column with an expression that looks something like this:
REPLACE(YOUR_INVOICE_NUMBER_COLUMN, '-', CHR(173))
Hope this helps. -
Time field is not appering in report!
Hi,
we have a strange situation where for a particular field, i am not seing any values ( all zeroes ) in report! ( that particular field is filled via FM logic , i mean no field as such in R/3 )
the thing is that this particular field has values in cube.
it is a key figure defined as number dec in the definition.
what could be the problem?
Thanks,
RaviHi,
Hope you are very sure that you have seen the values in the cube.
Then do you have a multiprovider on which you've created the query?
Then you must re check the identifications.
If the query is basd on the cube then run transaction RSRT and see the output of the query.
This way you should be able to know exactly where the prob is.
If all seems well we'll concentrate on your query design.

Date time field will not bind over into XML data file
am using the Current Date field in a form that is supposed to give me the current date & time. In the Object, Value, I am using a "calculated - Read Only" , with Run-time property of Date and Time. WHen I view this as a PDF, the current datae & time display on the form as well as when I view the body pages, the {current date/time} is displayed in the actual field of the form. My only problem is I want to bind this so I can export the data to an XML data file, to import to an Access Database. WHen I use these settings, I do not have a "binding" tab to use. WHen I change vaule to "calculation script), it then pops up the binding tab and let's me export the field to the XML data file, but the data in that field is not comming over (the date & time). The field comes into the database inport, but is blank. What am I doing wrong..?? Thanks in advance for any suggestions...
Well, I'm assuming that when you change it to a calculation script you see the date in the PDF and therefore have the script to set the value written properly. So, if you change the binding from None to Normal or an explicit binding the date will be exported in the data. If all of that is correct, then the most likely problem is the data format you are exporting is not a format that your database will accept.

Values coming in to PSA but not in to the Data Target
Hi BW Guru's
I have done minor enhancement on Master Data Data Source and replicated in BW System the values are coming up to PSA for the particular field but not in to the Data Target. Can any one help me on this issue. Your help will be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
VenkatHi Venkat,
Your datasource has been changed, but infosource and transfer rules - are not.
So, you'd better delete datasource - infosource assignment. Then replicate datasource again. Activate transfer rules etc.
Best regards,

I am able to to download the data into XLS file using the FM: GUI_DOWNLOAD in SAP ECC 6.0and also opening the file . But when i download the data into XLSX file . I am able to download the data into GUI_DOWNLOAD. But while opening the file i am getting the below mentioned error.
'Excel cannot open the file 'filename.xlsx' because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file'
Ok buttom is coming not able to open the file.
When i use the FM: SAP_CONVERT_TO_XLS_FORMAT to download the XLS it self it is going abap DUMP that file type error.
Any one help any Function Module or how to download data through abap programing into XLSX file.
Thanks.
Murali.
Message was edited by: Matthew Billingham - adjusted wording...If you want to download your ALV to an .XLXS format file, with all the formatting intact, please try the following code. I have tried to create a custom Function module Z_EXCEL_DOWNLOAD_TEST wherein I pass all the callback variables, the final ALV internal table and all the ALV details like field catalog, sort, layout, event list and so on, along with the concatenated file path and file name in I_FILE. I have used a custom class ZCL_SALVEXPORT_XML which is a copy of the standard class CL_SALV_EXPORT_XML_DIALOG, with few modifications in Method: EXECUTE and Method: DOWNLOAD. The methods where I have modified the code are also shown at the end.

Problem download data with trailing blanks using gui_download
Hi All,
I am using SAP 4.6C. I have requirement to download data with trailing
blanks.But i am not succeeded fully to acheive my requirement.I want to
download data to be in the below format.
Eg: 'T000000070600000004000000003593593 '
I want to download data with different blanks of each record.
For example in 1 line 18, 2nd line 25, 3rd line 22.
I already used Hexa notation value '09'. But it is showing only 7 at once. I have
added 3 times this field but it is showing 21. How i can i add extra space?
I tried to move ' ' spaces also. It does't wotk. I have tried concatenate with ' ' and
separared by ' ' also but no use.
I have passed all possible parameters to GUI_DOWNLOAD FM.
say write_field_separator = ' '
write_lf = 'X'
trunc_trailing_blanks = ' '
trunc_trailing_blanks_eol = ' '
Could please tell me some one had faced same problem earlier. It is very urgent.
Is there is any class attribute in SAP 4.6C?
( like cl_abap_char_utilities in 4.7 )
Thanks in Advance.
BashaTry :
CONCATENATE XXXX space RESPECTING BLANKS.
Of course you must retain these parameters :
trunc_trailing_blanks = space
trunc_trailing_blanks_eol = space
Hope this helps -
Downloading data with field lables as headerline
Hello ABAP gurus,
i have a report, if i excute it, 10 files will be downloaded from standard tables and from ztables.
i am using below method to download the data
CALL METHOD CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>GUI_DOWNLOAD.
Now my client wants all downloaded files should display with field lables as respect to data and separate by semicolon.
example format is:
name;age;address
A 25 MUMBAI
B 24 CHENNAI
this is my problem, please help me.It is very urgent.
Regards
Maheshmahesh,
my advice is first fetch all the field names of the DB tables and Ztables using the DD03L table. This table has all the field names and their positions of all the DB tables & Ztables. Concatenate each table's field names based on their positions into a single line with the field seperator and append this record as the first record to its corresponding internal table. Now send this table to GUI_DOWNLOAD....If you want more info, Please ask.... -
Downloading data from a BLOB Field using mod_plsql
Hi,
I am trying to use the mod_plsql to download data from a blob field, I have a web page where I can pick the file name to be downloaded from the documents table This table has the BLOB field that has the Data formatted in a text file format(contains carriage returns), when I open it up in the browser it is displaying it correctly , but when I right click on the file name and choose "Save Target As" and save it as text file it is ignoring the carriage returns and displaying entire blob in one line.
Can somebody help me figure out why it's not recognizing the carriage returns?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
ThanksHi and welcome to the forum.
Is there a way to retrieve data from a blob field and save it to temp table.Why would you want to do that?
Can you provide some more details regarding your requirement?
(Don't forget to mention your database version as well)
Also, I wonder why you've added a 'decompress' tag to your question?
edit, after seeing Tubby's reply
Dang, the connection must be frozen here ;)

This is a variation on the issue mentioned in this
post
We are using SP 2010 Content Hub to manage our content types. On the content hub we've created a couple of exteranl lists, and then created some site columns as lookups against these lists. We then added the columns to one of our content types
and set it to publish.
After the publishing job executed, I tried adding the content type (which now appears on the subscriber sites) to one of the document libraries on one of the subscriber sites. When I did that it threw the following error:
Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls.BusinessDataListConfigurationException: Id field is not set on the external data field

I checked the external content type configuration and it did specify an "id column". Anyone know if what I am attempting to do is possible and if so, what special configurations are required?
ThanksThe issue is not External Content type or external list but the look up column.
It's not possible to publish a look up column via the Content Type Hub.
If you need to do this then an alternate way is to use a Managed Metadata column instead, otherwise you will have to implement this via a feature.

Data carrier & application field are not getting displayed in CV04N
Hi Guru's
In TCode : CV04N, data carrier & application field are not getting displayed.
While i compare with my IDES system, data carrier & application fields are getting displayed in CV04N.
Let me know is there any configuration that has been missed out.
Regards
BhanuHi Bhanu,
Please note that the fields 'Data carrier' & 'Application field' are visible only if no document type is entered.
Suppose you enter a document type and press ENTER then these fields disappear. This is because the field 'Application' was designed when only the storage is archive, vault or SAP-SYSTEM was possible and the number of added originals was limited.
Currently DMS allows storage of originals on Content Server and there is no limit on the number of added originals, the system behavior was changed due to performance reasons. To avoid performance problems if you search for a document with a lot of originals attached this field gets invisible if you enter a document type which uses the KPRO storage.
