GUI Status Bar

Is there an easy way to make a status bar similar to the one on IE or firefox? I'm sure this is probably in the swing package, but I haven't seen any easy way to make this.

Default setting of SAP GUI Status bar

Hello all,
Is there a way to set a default value of the precious combobox from the GUI status bar (the one showing System, Client, User, Program.....).
I would like to set it to always display the SAP System.

you can do this like below.
First select the option to show 'System' ( may be it is by default prompting to show 'Program Name' )
next time when you login it will default with System name only.

Gui status (AT USER-COMMAND) trigger at first

Hello all,
I wrote a basic list shown below.
In it , AT USER-COMMAND and AT LINE-SELECTION events are used all.
when i double click on line in the list, I think the at line-selection should be trigger at first. but in fact ,the AT USER-COMMAND trigger.
and the sy-ucomm get the first button value in the GUI-STATUS BAR(There's only one button on it).
how can i solve it .
any answers should be appreciated.

Please make sure to add the fcode PICK to the F2 function code in your gui status and try again.

Can menu bar use variants instead of hard coding in GUI Status?

Hi Experts,
I am trying to select data into a variant from one table. This variant will be used for text in Menu Bar of GUI Status. I used to hard coding in Menu Bar. Is it possible for variants instead of hard coding in Menu Bar?

SAP GUI 7.20 and Animated Messages in Status Bar

Hello Experts,
Is there a way to disable "animated" display of messages in status bar when Signature Design is active? Currently messages are scrolled from left to right and then fade in. (Please note that this is a different from "Animated Focus" or "Animation" feature and only unique to Signature Design Theme). It would be nice to disable the animation so messages are immediately displayed without disabling Signature Design. I have asked this question in the past and there was basically no way to accomplish this. Is there any hope that this would be included in future patches for SAP GUI 7.20?

Have you had any luck with this issue? We recently installed SAP GUI 7.20 patch 2 and are having similar issues. While working in t-code SWDD, "Workflow Builder", I am automatically logged out of SAP and the LOGON pad also closes out and I forced to sign back in. This is happening when I drag and drop an event into a step and enter in information that should normally prompt a warning/error message after hitting the "Enter" key.

Goto Your GUI status.click on your MENU bar.
under the menu bar you will have your own menu items.
where ever you want separator line do the following way.
you will have 2 columns under menu bar
1) code
2) text.
under code dont put anything.
but under text column you put dashes and enter or select right click there and choose separator line.
you will get separator line.
activate and run the ztcode.you will get .
code text

Any ideas for GUI status manipulation?

Hi All,
I have a requirement with me, which I'm not able to figure out how to achieve. Here goes:
There's a transaction in ERP system (CO11N) which was originally not designed (it seems) to be used with CALL TRANSACTION kind of way. But now a requirement is to call it that way... I guess I can do that anyway by passing the SET PARAMETER for the key input fields...
But there's also another requirement that when calling the transaction this way, make sure two of the application toolbar buttons should be disabled. And they should be enabled when the transaction is called directly from the command bar (as /nCO11N).
I don't have any set/get parameters to check for and disable/enable the GUI status Fcodes with it...
Can someone please give me some pointers as to how this can be achieved?

Thanks a lot for the quick tip.
I thought of this technique as well... But then figured that using this 'export to memory' technique is not a very recommended way...
Thus I want to keep this way as a last resort for the time being... But would like to know if there is any better way to achieve the same effect without using the shared memory sort of technique.

How to copy GUI status to new program

Hi all,
In report A, i have GUI status with lot of menu bar activities. i need to create one more report B, with the same GUI status. Is there any option to copy/download from Report A to paste/upload to the new report B.
Note: Both the Reports are in different SAP Systems.
Please suggest.

Hi,
You can do this:
go to Transaction se90. Drill down to Program library -> program sub objects -> Double click on GUI Status.
In the program name enter Your PROGRAM NAME and press execute. now select check box beside <Your GUI STATUS which you want to copy>. and in the menu click on GUI Status -> Copy.
Now copy it to ur B report pf status.
or
goto se80 select Program enter your program name then under GUI Status right click on your gui ststus which you want to copy and press copy and enter your B Report name.,

Set text of status bar problem

I'm trying to hide the url in the status bar of the links in
a graphic where I have a mapping situation. I click on the map box
and select the set text of status bar behavior but it will not work
while the mouse is over the mapped area. When I move my mouse over
the mapped area it displays the url and when I move away from it it
displays the text that I want to have when I mouse over. Any help
is greatly appreciated. I've including the code below.

Why do you want that? The status bar is part of the browser's
GUI and of
absolutely no interest for the website author. Additionally
recent
browsers will prevent scripts from manipulating it, so you
should think
about it again.

You want to use the 'title' attribute to show additional text
on mouse-
over.

How to change the Short text of a GUI Status .

Hi Guys ,
   Can any one guide me on how to change the short text of an already existing GUI Status .
I have already tried doing these :Opened the GUI Status in change mode and changed the short texts of the Application tool bar ,
                           Menu Bar ,
                           Function Keys ,
thinking that this will update in the Short text .. but that didnt happen ...
Below is what I need ...
Requirement :
GUI Status : Status_001 .
Short Text : New GUI Status .
Change the Short Text to " Changed GUI Status ' .

Do this...
go to SE80
Open the program.. open node GUI Status
Double click on the status you want to change
go to menu GOTO>ATTRIBUTES>STATUS
click on continue or simply enter
Here change the short text and continue or enter
activate it

Add a status bar

Hallo.
I have a program that uses a JFrame and JInternalFrames to bring out a GUI. I would like to add a strip to the bottom of the main Jrame to work as a status bar but am quite challenged. Anyone with an idea?

There are quite a number of classes involved (13 to be exact) and it communicates with a MySQL database so posting the code will be a bit tedious. But just to give a general idea, this class that extends a JFrame acts as the main window from which all other classes are called from, using JMenus. Now I would like to add a status bar of some sort to the bottom of this JFrame-extending class.

VBScript - Capture All Status Bar Text

I am tired of searching and finding no clear answers.
So here is the situation. I have a vbscript file that automates the SAP GUI. My issue is that I need to get the status text from the status bar after every input is made.
I have tried using findById("wnd[0]/sbar").text, but it does not capture every warning or error message.
Does the status bar object have any other properties besides text?
Any type of response would be greatly appreciated.

here is a VB sample

the demo examlpe in my script automation tool sends a /$TAB okcode to a sapgui and the retrieves the text in the statusbar
The tool is in SF is called lbscript

Btw, there is also a dumpscreen method which creates a text file with all the screen or window elements so you can retrieve them later on.
Here is the line which contains the statusbar message and type
"/app/con[0]/ses[0]/wnd[0]/sbar    Name: sbar    Type: GuiStatusbar    Value: TAB buffer reset    Read only    Children:7"
