GUI status: codes for standard functions

Hi Experts,
I have created a custom GUI status in my screen and enabled BACK, CANCEL, EXIT, PRINT and FIND buttons.
With coding BACK, CANCEL and EXIT are working fine but what codes i should write for PRINT and FIND? Can anybody give me some sample codes.

How do I set the response status code for a request in ADF?

For example:
I have a page accessible like page.jspx?id=$ID, in which $ID identifies an object stored in a database. The user navigates to page.jspx?id=abc. abc does not exist or has been deleted. I wish to set the response status code to 404 for the page request, like, for instance, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=abc does. How do I do this?
PS: Changing the status code for subsequent partial submits on the page if the object is deleted while the user is on the page (e.g. if the user attempts to delete an already deleted object through a "Delete" button on the page) may also be desirable, but would probably not fit in as well with the ADF lifecycle or be as useful.

Maybe I should be more specific about the current state of the code. It's something functionally similar in relevant portions to the following. For the purposes of this code, assume the ID maps only to a name, rather than a more complicated object:

}The code initializes the data from the database through the initilaizer of a pageFlow-scoped bean with a dummy setter for the document because I read somewhere that that would work, and it seems to work, even though it seems hacky.
Ideally, the code would render the 404 where it currently says (// TODO: Set status code 404). I realize this may not even be possible given the current architecture, because part of the response body has already been rendered, and I believe, but cannot find a source to cite, that the status code and headers cannot be set after the body has started being rendered. Is there any architecture that would get me this page's functionality (even if it's two JSPXs on the backend (which might be ideal)) and be able to render a 404 for an inexistent object?

How to create a transaction code for a function group with screen 100 as st

Hello ,
I have requirement where I need to create a function group and create screen 100, 200, 300 and include the function in the screens.
Customer asked me to create a transaction with the screen 100 as the starting screen.
Can you please let me know how to create a transaction code for a function group with screen 100 as starting screen.

Go to transaction SE93, enter a transaction code that you want and click on "create". Enter a text and select the "Transaction with Parameters" button. In the Default Values section, enter START_REPORT in the transaction field. Check the "skip initial screen" box. In the Name of Screen field section enter the following lines:
Name of screen field:                               Value
D_SREPOVARI-REPORTTYPE                RW
D_SREPOVARI-REPORT                        ZPCA
Save and transport accordingly.

How to insert a code for a function module into a Customer Exit Variable?

I have two Key Figures viz., Net Prchs Rtl, and Net Prchs Unt. Both these Key figures have This Week (TW) and Last Week (LW). There is a variable for This week but there is no variable defined for Last week.
I need to get data in the column LW (Last Week) for both the key figures.
In function module EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001 one of the functions I have is:
Get the previous Fiscal Week
          CALL FUNCTION 'DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT'
I need to create a new variable to get values in the Last week column for different key figures and use function 'DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT' in that variable.
Can anyone please explain me the steps as to how to use a function module in a variable so that when the variable is used in a key figure it shows the output.
In other words what I want to know is after creating a Customer exit variable of type Characteristic value how do I refer the above mentioned function moduel and insert the code for the function module into the Customer exit variable that I created.

Code for SAVE functionality in FPM_OIF_COMPONENT

Hi Experts,
I have enhanced the component DPR_DET_DATA_PROJECT_O. The SAVE functionality for this component exists in FPM_OIF_COMPONENT.
I have to raise error message depending on the custom fields added in DPR_DET_DATA_PROJECT_O when I click on 'SAVE' button.
Please share if any ideas where to write the code for SAVE functionality for the custom fields added on DPR_DET_DATA_PROJECT_O.

I am trying to find the status codes for "ECC_QUALITYISSUENOTPEQR" (QualityIssueNotificationProductByElementsQueryResponse_In). There are two fields that are mandatory - "ReleaseStatusCode" and "ClosureStatusCode" where I have no idea what the values are. I know they have a max length of 2 but I can't find any indication of what they are. I've looked in the ESWorkpace (Transaction QM3 and QM11) but I am not any better off.

good idea to blog about, I somehow became tired of raising the issue over and over again here and elswhere.
in this context you could also, ask why SAP doesn't support enumerations. in case you don't know what that is, have a short look at <a href="http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/XML_Schema">wikipedia</a> and search for enumaration. you might quickly see that his could automatically solve your (and others) problems. finally one could ask why they don't support annotations. an example can be found <a href="http://www.xmlschemareference.com/annotationElement.html">here</a>.
given the possibilities of enumerations and annotations one would never face the issue you stumbled upon, one could avoid wrong inputs already on the consumer side and so on...I think I do not have to elaborate it further, it is no rocket science.

My report layout gives ##,## instead of ##.## as my Unit Price. i.e. in the report for POs, it is showing unit price in the format as #,## eg: 0,32 or u can say like 1,70 instead it should show #.## something like 0.32 and 1.70 as my unit price. I can check out for you how to print page number in XSL-FO (There is an O'Reilly) book, but I think I help you better by recommending a different strategy - Don't write XSL-FO stylesheets. While Purchasing does not support RTF templates you can still write RTF templates and convert them to FO using the XML Publisher Template Builder for Word.
Download the matching Template Builder for Word (5.0) or XML Publisher Desktop 5.5 (includes the Template Builder) patch and then Create your template as an RTF template.
You can then EXPORT the template as XSL-FO stylesheet and upload as to Purchasing AS LONG AS THE VERSION OF THE DESKTOP and E-Businees Suite XML Publisher MATCH.
If you still want to write XSL stylesheet, you can just use the Template Builder to generate you the code and paste the code (e.g. for page numbers) into your stylesheet.
By the way - Purchasing will support RTF templates in future versions...

( Material description could be a wild search -- say - Mat* ) I want a sub routine in the function module which should get all the materials from the database ( mara or makt..not sure ) for the user entered Material description.

HTTP 414 Status code for POST messages greater than 4096 bytes.

Hello,
I am using Sun One 6.0 sp2 and Weblogic 6.1 sp3 for my application. All the requests
are being sent to the Weblogic server using the NSAPI plug-in.
For all POST messages with size greater than 4096 bytes, I am getting a HTTP Status
Code 414.
I have set the MaxPOSTSize to 10240 both on the Weblogic server side, but it still
gives same error.
Can someone please guide me as to how to enable processing of POST messages greater
than 4096 bytes ?

Creating Java code for the function module

Hi Colleagues,
I have a fuction module in ABAP system. Now I want to Generate java code for the FM.
I cam to know that we can achive that using AXIS, By getting the XML file for the fuction module and generate Java
Class file using that XML file.
Can any one tell me how to achive it.
Or any other way to do that?
Please provide you valid suggestions.

Hi,
You can integrate axis2 in eclipse. I think you have to find the plugin for that.
After that you can let axis generate the jave code (stubs and proxies) for your web service via the wsdl file.

I have an request to modify the Payment MT103 Format as per the request from Bank. However, upon making changes in the above file ZFI_PAYMEDIUM_MT103_30_190609 , I am not able to get the changes.
My current configuration at FBZP are as follows;
Event 20 - ZFI_PAYMEDIUM_MT103_20
Event 25 - FI_PAYMEDIUM_MT103_25
Event 30 - ZFI_PAYMEDIUM_MT103_30_190609
Event 40 - FI_PAYMEDIUM_MT103_40
Kindly update me, if the MT103 payment format is to be changed/customized, which Standard functin should I correct.
Please let me know if there any thread already for this request.

Thank you for the replies. The solution for this issue is arrived as follows;
1. From the Transaction FBZP - I confirmed the function ZFI_PAYMEDIUM_MT103_30 is being executed.
2. I put appropriate break-points in this function.
3. Using the F110 - I did the automatic payment.
4. But I put the Print Process as Delayed ( Not print immediately). So it creates the job.
5. I went to SM97 and watched the Job execution using debug option.

    I want to call xfa.host.importData with file path. I understand that this can be called with copying .js file under user's ApplicationData/Adobe/Javascript folder. I tried to add following code in JS to make it a trusted code, but I get exception in Javascript Debugger.

ABAP Query Code for Count Function

I have an ABAP Query and just created a new field which requires ABAP Code to do the following :-
The report is for Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions. 2 Purchase Orders may have the same requisition, so what I want to do is count the number of the same requisitions in the report

Strange code for standard characters...

Hi, sorry for the newbie question...
I'm still working in GoLive CS2 and I'm predominantly a WYSIWYG user. I've started using a third party MP3 player (wimpy) and that's made me have to get into some coding... but when I look at a lot of my pages, I see that simple refs like: "http//:www.mysite.com/mp3s/homepage/rolling.mp3" are being written out as: http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Emysite%2Ecom%2Fmp3s%2Fhomepage%5Fbutton%2Frolling%2Emp3.
I'd be very grateful if someone with a bigger brain than me could clue me in on why this is happening...

Thank you both for your help. I guess what I was getting at, is that as a non-coder, I find it hard to sift through the hundreds of references to MP3s in the code to make changes and corrections.
If I want to change a reference to a file called "Frolic.mp3" it's hard to do when the ref is %2FFrolic%2Emp3
I was just hoping that there was some way of having the character set be referenced apples to apples.
Which is probably why I never became a programmer... :-(

Status Codes for repairing T500

I use the Electronic Service Call yesterday and a guy called me and asked some questions about the symptoms . He gave me a IBM problem number and told me I can get a box within 2 business days. I check the The Electronic Service Call application (ESC+) website, the status are still AI which indicated that a customer has added additional information on a previously placed request. Nothing else, I checked on website http://www-03.ibm.com/support/ezserv/home.jsp for the repair status. It shows to me The service call was not found after I fill in all the information. Is there anything wrong with my repairing status? Thanks for any comment.
