  • Title Bar not showing transparency?

    My title bar is not showing the transparency in leopard. I am wondering if I am the only one experiencing this problem.

    This will depend on your computer. I believe the transparent menubar requires "core image" or some other "core" technology, and if your graphics card does not support that technology then it will not do it. The transparent menubar works on my G5 with a Radeon X800XT, but it doesnt work on my PowerBook G4 (Radeon 9000).

  • Title Bar Sticking

    My Title Bar sticks every so often. For example, I'll be working in Safari, then switch to Mail. But my Title Bar will still say "Safari." When this happens, the menu drop downs are inoperable. I can clear the problem by navigating back to the application shown on the Title Bar, or by relaunching Finder. I've already tried repairing permissions, deleting the Finder plist file, and reinstalling OS X. Apparently the problem is being carried through in one of the preference or system files. Does anyone have any idea how I can stop this from happening? Thanks for your help!

    I can have any number of windows open. If I switch focus by clicking on an exposed section of an open window, the focus changes but the Title Bar does not. If I switch focus by clicking on the Dock icon of an open window, the focus changes but the Title Bar does not. Except, that if I switch focus back to the application shown in the Title Bar, the problem temporarily resolves and everything seems to be working OK.
    Example: TextEdit, Mail, Safari, and iCal are all open. TextEdit is showing in the Title Bar. I click on a section of the Safari window. Focus switches to Safari and I start working in Safari in a normal manner. Then I notice that the Title Bar still says "TextEdit." I click on a section of the iCal window and the focus switches to iCal. But the Title Bar still says "TextEdit." I switch back to TextEdit. I notice that the Title Bar drop downs are now working. I switch to any other application and the Title Bar changes appropriately. Everything now works OK for a while. Then I notice the Title Bar is stuck again, and I have to go through the same process of backing up to the app shown in the Title Bar to get it unstuck again.

  • Editing a title bar in the captured video

    Is there a way to hide any section for ex. menu bar or a title bar of the captured video?  I am capturing the video from a simulator which has different version numbers on the title bar. Except for the version number change, their is no change in the GUI of the simulator. Do I need to recapture it all over again or can i override the title bar or get ride of a specific portion of the captured video?

    Hi Lata
    In that case, you will likely need to re-record.
    Full motion recording is seldom desired and this issue alone is one of the large reasons why!

  • Hiding the titleBar??? if it is the title bar

    I think it is the title bar not sure what it is called the computer teacher did not know the name nor could it be found. Umm yeah anyway I was wondering if in an awt Frame there was anyway to hide the title bar....
    I am meaning with the term title bar the bar with the title of your program the icon and the minimize full screen and exit button on it...
    Yeah just curious it would make my program look nicer if my popup window did not have this bar....
    thanks in advance

    The title bar of a window is the most obvious portion of any gui and the fact that someone that is suppose to be an instructor.. someone with knowledge to share and they are not sure of the most basic components of a GUI is shameful at best.
    And this shows in your lack of knowledge that a JFrame and a Frame are on a GUI component level the same.
    So either you have not red any documentation or your instructors knowledge is showing through you.
    The JFrame is a light weight component...... with
    all the same widnow decorations as a Frame...
    Thank U

  • I can not get ℠ 'sm' service mark code to work in my title bar

    Hello everyone,
    I want to be able to place 'sm' superscripted next to a company name in a website's title bar. Apparently the ℠ does not work in all cases...especially mine. Everyone else seems to have great luck.
    Graciously, Nadia offered this code for me to try:
    !DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html  xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta  http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"  />
    <title>Company Name  &#8480;</title>
    </head>
    but alas, it didn't work for me. My version of DW8 sets up the doctype with charset=iso-8859-1. I figured that was my proble, but changing this to utf-8 has made no difference. All I get is a small white box next to the company name. Firefox, IE6 both do the same thing.
    Any suggestions?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Cheers,
    wordman

    Have you looked at the Java Tutorial?
    JComboBox example:
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/combobox.html
    There are a lot of other good examples and descriptions in the Java Tutorial.

    With your panel, just use add(aComponent) without the second parameter null.

  • My title bar is not showing up how do I get it back?

    Why do i not have a title bar  at the top of my itunes i want it back and i have tryed many different things i have tryed re downloading and nothing works please help.

    heres a picture of what im talking about

  • How to get rid of title bar of a quicktime window?

    The main problem:
    I want to display the title info etc about each track as they play in iTunes. How can I do that on an otherwise black screen (desktop) (I don't want to use the visualizer with its psychedelic patterns).
    Background:
    I want to play music from iTunes (many pieces in a row - for like a full day). While this is happening I want the title etc of the tune to be displayed on the screen, like white smallish text against a black background in the lower right hand corner. At the same time I want slides to be displayed on the screen.
    So, with iPhoto I can run a slide show but only while one piece of music is playing.
    Instead I can have the desktop slowly change (from system preferences) with images from a folder every 5 seconds. That's not too bad. Looks good, actually, except for that annoying menu bar at the top! Well, black tape can hide that one (or a second display and move it over there). Now iTunes can play away all day.
    As to how to get the title etc of the song playing displayed I was thinking about somehow extracting it from iTunes with applescript, then paste it into the text track of a quicktime movie, and display that little movie in a small window. I have figured out how to get rid of the controller from the window. But, I can not figure out how to get the title bar of the quicktime window to go away - that is I want a window with nothing around it, neither controllers nor title bar nor anything. How do I create such a window. Any good ideas out there?
    Or is there a totally different way of obtaining the same effect?
    Thanks.
    G4   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    Hi,
    You could try posting at the QuickTime discussion area. There might be an iTunes visualizer that allows you to make a slideshow with track info. It has been a while since I tried making a SMIL file, but I think you could do what you want with that. Not sure how you create a streaming text of track information. I would have to do some reviewing.
    gl,

  • How can I get back the title bar in Thunderbird 38?

    The title bar can be turned on and off in Firefox. In the current version of Thunderbird (31), the title bar is present by default and there is no option to turn it off. In the beta version (38), there is no title bar by default… but I can't believe that there's no way to get it back. So, where is this setting? I can't find it.

    I sure agree that the setting isn't easily discoverable, but that's too late for the 38.0 release given that string freezes went in effect already (the reason being that localizers have to translate all UI elements for their respective language).
    The respective [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=814571 bug report] has been up for more than two years, but thus far not much progress in terms of a solution acceptable by the developers. I don't know if the extension proposed in the last comment was ever developed and posted.

  • How do I get rid of title bar?

    When I installed Firefox on my new Windows 8 computer, I got a style in which there is no title bar. The tabs are up there with an orange Firefox button at the left. It provides access to the menu items. I like that. However, I wanted the function of my profile on a Windows 7 machine. (Lots of stuff in there.) When I installed that, it put me back in a situation where there is a title bar unnecessarily wasting some vertical screen space. In that Windows 7 profile, I was using the Tiny Menu addon to compress the menu items onto a single button. It is on a line with the Location bar and the search bar. The tabs are below. I cannot figure out what to tweak in the profile from my Windows 7 to get to the appearance I like in the Windows 8 install.
    I tried the advice here: http://www.squidoo.com/hide-firefox-title-bar
    I don't see any Tabs on Top setting, and browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar is already set to true. When I disable the Menu toolbar, the title bar goes away and the tabs are up there with the orange Firefox button; however, I lose the Location bar and the search bar altogether.
    There's got to be a way to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

    Something very weird is going on. I achieved a brief success as follows:
    Not sure exactly what did it. With Task Bar Plus, Stylish, All-in-One Sidebar, and the bookmarks toolbar disabled, I did do that reset to defaults for the toolbar. I had skipped that earlier because I did not see how it was going to affect the tab bar and my toolbar configuration (with All-in-one Side Bar) is fairly complicated. However, I was getting desperate. It still did not solve the problem directly. However, when I enabled the Navigation Bar, success! The odd thing is that I had fiddled with enabling the Navigation bar on multiple previous occasions with no luck; so I am still not sure exactly what happened. I thought the problem was solved. But it was not:
    Then I started experimenting to figure out what had been causing it. I enabled all those things (except the bookmarks bar). It stopped working. I disabled Tab Mix Plus, and I got a brief success at the first instant when I enabled the Navigation bar. Then I restarted Firefox, and it did not work then or after any subsequent restart. I have gone so far as to restart in safe mode with all addons disabled. It still does not work right. I go back to the profile from the Windows 8 install, and all is well again.
    What is going on? I may have to give up and further develop the profile from Windows 8 to come closer to the function I had in Windows 7; but I dread that process.

  • SAP Logo/Title Bar (SAP GUI for HTML)

    Hello all,
    Anyone know how to disable the SAP logo/title bar that appears via an SAP GUI for HTML transaction (ie. PZ56)?  I'm trying to get the transaction to show in the Portal using the SAP Transaction iView, but it displays this SAP title bar with the SAP logo which I don't want.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    hi Mike ,
    this can be done using the Configuration.
    Go to transaction SICF and see the webgui internet service .
    in that , you will have a button called GUI CONFIGURATION
    and then, you insert another parameter caller ~noHeaderOKCode to 1 which will solve your problem.
    Hope this helps...
    Take care

  • Firefox hangs when starting, Firefox window title bar says "Firefox (not responding)". (was: Firefox crashes)

    Firefox hangs when starting, during session restore. Uninstalled then installed new Firefix. Same problem. Firefox window title bar says "Firefox (not responding)". It just hangs, won;t display even one page. What to do? Tried -safe-mode, smae result.

    I keep too many tabs open and whilst trying to download a pdf file Firefox 8.01 hung and when I restarted it the Embarrassing page opened. I knew which tab I needed to delete but as soon as I tried to navigate to the errant tab it said "Not Responding" and nothing I could do would make it respond. I tried command line opening in safe mode and the same thing happened.
    I have read the other posts but cannot send a crash dump as it is "Not Responding" and does not get far enough to crash.

  • Get color of title bar

    Hi guys. How do i get the color of the title bar of my JFrame?

    try
    new Color(java.awt.SystemColor.windowBorder.getRGB())it might not be windowBorder but I think it is. Check out the docs on SystemColor there are a whole bunch of static variables you can try if windowBorder isn't the right one.

  • Component.createImage() not getting JFrame title

    Great Java titans ...
    I have been pouring through the forums looking for an answer on this, to no avail.
    I'm trying to create a JPEG image of a JFrame.
    The image gets created and written fine...with one problem. It does not paint the title bar.
    Not sure what is happening. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Here is my method:
       * Creates the image file from the component.
       * @param tSource Component
       * @return String fully qualified file name
      private String createImageFile(Component tSource)
         BufferedImage tImage = (BufferedImage)tSource.createImage(tSource.getWidth(),
            tSource.getHeight());
        //Get the Graphics associated with the new Image
        Graphics2D tGraphic = tImage.createGraphics();
        if(tSource instanceof JFrame)
          ((JFrame)tSource).paintAll(tGraphic);
        else
          tSource.paint(tGraphic);
        //Create a temp file name based on the current time stamp
        StyledSimpleDateFormat sdf = new StyledSimpleDateFormat("yyMMddHHmmssSSS");
        String currentTime = sdf.format(Calendar.getInstance().getTime());
        String workArea = System.getProperty(EUIResourceText.USERS_OS_TEMP_DIRECTORY);
        File f = new File(workArea);
        String tempImageFile = workArea + currentTime + ".JPG";
        try
          //Write the created image in to the workarea as a file
          BufferedOutputStream out = new BufferedOutputStream(new
            FileOutputStream(tempImageFile));
          JPEGImageEncoder encoder = JPEGCodec.createJPEGEncoder(out);
          JPEGEncodeParam param = encoder.getDefaultJPEGEncodeParam(tImage);
          int quality = 100;
          quality = Math.max(0, Math.min(quality, 100));
          param.setQuality((float)quality / 100.0f, false);
          encoder.setJPEGEncodeParam(param);
          encoder.encode(tImage);
          out.close();
        catch(Exception e)
          JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(MDIFrame.getInstance(),
            "Error Printing Selected Screen", "Error", JOptionPane.ERROR_MESSAGE);
          EUIFrameworkException exception = new EUIFrameworkException();
          exception.setException(e);
          exception.setUserId(SecuritySystem.getInstance().getPrivilegeAttributes()
            .getLoginAliasId());
          exception.setPriority(5);
          LogUtilities.fire(exception);
        return tempImageFile;
      }Many thanks!

    The purpose of this screen is it is a Phone Number lookup(search) screen. The textFields you see on the screen are NOT automatically binded to the DB table. I do this is the code using the setValue() method. The reason I am using manual binding is because I was told by Sun that if I want to use only the one form for everything (including insert, update and delete in future) then I would have to bind the data manually.
    Anyway, I have a whole bunch of fields that are binded to an Oracle Database table manually in the code.
    As I said the navigation FIRST button will allow me to go to the first record but this does not occur on Page1 startup.
    Hope that helps explain a little more.
    Thanks for looking into this.
