Guys, I wrote my name in the back of my ipad. Now I wanna sell it and I need to erase the name. How can I do that?

Look at it this way, if it's engraved, you can tell people, if your device is ever stolen, it'll be easier to visibly identify it since the engraving makes it 'stand out' from regular devices.
Usually the only way to really identify a stolen or lost device is to hook it up to a computer or find its serial number, with an engraved one, anyone can ID it just by flipping it over.

I spilled some pop on the back of my iPad. I cleaned it off and everything seems to be going good but when I play music it will either play with no sound or play then continue with no sound. You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists. If it doesn't work, there isn;t much anyone here can do for you. It may be a physical problem with your speakers. -
Recharging my iPod shuffle (3rd gen.) on my 2009 iMac (OS 10.5.8) goes extremely slowly (via usb port at the back). This is mainly because recharging stops when my mac goes to sleep. I just can't believe that Apple doesn't have a sollution for this, but I haven't found it yet... What's the most efficient way of recharging?
Purchase a wall charger for it instead.

After update I am no longer able to open email attachments by just clicking on the attachment. I now have to click control and then click open linked file. How can I open attachments by simply clicking on them?

I won Lightroom 1.0 as a door prize a few years ago at an Adobe clinic in Fremont. I have since misplaced the original disk and cannot get the program to open. It wants a serial number and I don't have one. How can I get the serial number so I can use the software?
Thanks for replying, Jim. I wasn't planning to use it for raw images. I shoot film, black and white, and have many negatives I want to print. I am unfamiliar with the upgrades in Lightroom. I wasn't unhappy with the version I have. It was useful for my purposes.
Because it was a few years ago, I don't remember if I registered the product. I was able to login to my account. But could not find a path to communicate with Adobe. I will keep trying.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
Hold alt or option key at bootup, do asny boot choices show up? -

my phone recently suffered water damage so that the screen does not reigster when i slide to unlock. I am sycing the data from the phone onto itunes so i can put it onto a new phone. How can i ensure that i took everything off of the old phone before i restore it and where can i find all of that stuff when i sync with the new phone?
iTunes will only store a back up of the iPhone and you find this by following the steps below:

I am not able to download all the album I bought from itune store. The album contains 13 songs but 4 of them would not load up into my ipod. An error code will pop up notified me that "my Ipod cannot convert some of the file" How can I fix that?

Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -

When I boot my 2010 MacBook Pro I get a gray screen, when I try to do a Restore, the Mac partition is nowhere in sight, it sees my Windows Partition.
When I in Windows I can see all the files in the Mac Partition and I've backed up my Mac files on a NTFS external drive. My Windows partition has been working fine, I've installed it 2 years ago and have been receiving regular updates. Only problem is my display driver crashes occasionally.
I most probably will have to recreate the Mac partition and re-install Mountain Lion from the Mac servers. BUT, what happens to Boot Camp and my Windows 7 partition?
Any ideas?
ThanksUnfortunately, there is no way to expand the partition upwards. As you noted, you would need to either start afresh, or simply find a good use for the first partition.
