Gzip encoded XML data in HTTP adapter

Hi,
I'm involved in building an synchronous interface to an external credit agency. According to their documentation their XML response is encoded as a
gzip XML-data stream. As I understand this it implies that the XML data stream is compressed. Does the XI HTTP adapter (Web-As ICM/ICF framework) support this encoding?
Johan Göthberg

From Adobe Support...
"When you use an XML-based data provider with a tree you must
specify the label field, even if it is "label". The XML object
includes the root, so you must set showRoot="false". Remember that
the Tree will not, by default, reflect dynamic changes to the XML
object."
So all I had to do was change the component tag from this:
<mx:Tree id="checkTree"
itemRenderer="util.CheckTreeRenderer" labelField="label"
width="100%" height="100%" />
to this:
<mx:Tree id="checkTree"
itemRenderer="util.CheckTreeRenderer" showRoot="false"
labelField="@label" width="100%" height="100%" />
Just as an FYI... The Adobe support is worth the cost if you
are fairly new to Flex. I have been flexing for about 9 months now
and find their service invaluable!!!
Have an Ordinary Day...

    how to getout of this problem and how can i send the total xml data with http request

    Hi,
    Xcelsius/Dashboards will convert the range of values that you want to send into XML.
    It then will POST the XML when it calls the web page.
    For example, if you had created three ranges to send to your web page:
    A (a single cell)
    B (a single cell)
    C (a row of three cells)
    The data in the POST input stream for the web page will look something like this:
    <data>
      <variable name="A">
        <row>
          <column>10</column>
        </row>
      </variable>
      <variable name="B">
        <row>
          <column>15</column>
        </row>
      </variable>
      <variable name="C">
        <row>
          <column>1</column>
          <column>2</column>
          <column>3</column>
        </row>
      </variable>
    </data>
    I don't have an example for ASP, but I do for a JSP (attached).

  • How to send te XML data using HTTPS post call & receiving response in ML

    ur present design does the HTTP post for XML data using PL/SQL stored procedure call to a Java program embedded in Oracle database as Oracle Java Stored procedure. The limitation with this is that we are able to do HTTP post; but with HTTPS post; we are not able to achieve because of certificates are not installed on Oracle database.
    we fiond that the certificates need to be installed on Oracle apps server; not on database server. As we have to go ultimately with HTTPS post in Production environment; we are planning to shift this part of program(sending XML through HTTPS post call & receiving response in middle layer-Apps server in this case).
    how i can do this plz give some solution

    If you can make the source app to an HTTP Post to the Oracle XML DB repository, and POST contains a schema based XML document you can use a trigger on the default table to validate the XML that is posted. The return message would need to be managed using a database trigger. You could raise an HTTP error which the source App would trap....

    </BODY>
    </HTML>

    Conclusion from my point of view:
    1) You cannot have this thing interactive if you want to work with all the features of OM, if you want to cover all the details. In that case you need to create some tool for drawing the pictures for you and then only send the picture into the form. If anybody would like to do the changes you would add the table at the bottom of the page where a guy can say something like "chair A move under the big banana B" or "fire Mr. C, remove the position of Mr. C". That is probably the thing I would go for
    2) I am afraid you or your employer do not understand how the Adobe forms work. This is possible, but as I said before, that would be a nightmare for the developer (I cannot tell the price, would start with like 20 MDs).
    3) If you would like to mimic some existing solution and don´t want to buy that, then it´s ok for me. But don´t try to re-create the existing .NET or Java stuff in ABAP. I am skilled Java programmer and I can tell the freedom and the speed of the development is quite different. If the customer/ boss insist on developing such thing, use WEB development, go for PURE JAVA (I would go this way), use Java Connector in a JSP/ J2EE stuff and then incorporate the result into the portal.
    Hope that clarifies the problem a little,
    regards Otto

  • How to receive a XML data thru' HTTP

    We are trying to build an real-time interface between two system thru' XML. So the idea is that source app would post XML to a target URL using HTTP and the target app would validate the message, call pl/sql to transform and finally return back a SUCCESS or ERROR message (in XML). The source app is a SQL Server database and the target database is Oracle.
    Steve Muench described an approach of writing a custom Servlet that would receive the XML message, trasformed with XSLT, inserting it to Oracle using XML SQL Utility and respond back, but that was for Oracle 8i. I wonder if 9i and XDB has a better tool (or a built in Servlet or Listener) that basically does the same.
    Thanks for your help.

    If you can make the source app to an HTTP Post to the Oracle XML DB repository, and POST contains a schema based XML document you can use a trigger on the default table to validate the XML that is posted. The return message would need to be managed using a database trigger. You could raise an HTTP error which the source App would trap....

  • How to send XML file into XI using sender HTTP adapter

    I am using HTTP sender adapter to post the XML file into XI. I tried to form the URL by using the following String query , but I am unable to execute file.
    String urlString = "http://<servername:portno>/sap/xi/adapter_plain?namespace=<namespace>&interface=<interface name>&service=<service name>&party=&agency=&scheme=&QOS=BE&sap-user=xiappluser&sap-password=satyam&sap-client=100&sap-language=EN";
    How can I execute xml file by using HTTP sender adapter.
    Any one with better suggestions, about this idea?
    Thanks in advance for all.
    Ram Raj

    Hi
    Just use the following parameter to send xml file using HTTP adapter.
    "http://xiserver:8000/sap/xi/adapter_plain?namespace="senderNamespace"&interface=senderinterface&service=sender service";
    "&party=sender party"&agency=&scheme=&QOS=BE&sap-user=userid &sap-password=password&sap-client=100&sap-language=D";
    with the help of this you are able to point out which interface you would like to use.
    And in payload pass the xml.
    and thats it
    carry on
    Cheers

  • PI 7.1 HTTP Adapter - overwritte Prolog dynamically

    I use a HTTP Adapter to send XML Data via HTTP as form field. Therefore i use the prolog constant. Example: xmlfile=.... Now i need two new parameter (user and password) as post parameters. I can change to prolog like user=...&password=....&xmlfile=.. But in this case the prolog with the user is hard coded. in my scenaria the user and password should dynamically load from Message Mapping. The solution with the dynamic URL Parameter 1-6 could not be used, because this values are GET Parameters which are visible in der URI!
    Is there a solution for post parameters dynamically via HTTP Adapter?

    The operation mapping aka Interface mapping's need not only use 1 single mapping.
    In the interface mapping you can add multiple message mappings and / or other mapping programs.
    The mappings get executed sequentially and the output of first mapping is input to second mapping and so on.
    In this case, write a java mapping that will take the input as the output of your graphical mapping; add the prolog to this and make it the output of your Java Mapping and this is the final output of your Operation mapping!

  • HTML response for HTTP adapter

    Hi All,
    I have a BPM scenario in which I have to send PO idoc to third party system using HTTP adapter and after I receive a response message from the system (it is synchronous process), I have to update PO idoc status using SYSTAT idoc.
    The problem is - I have to send XML message using HTTP adapter but the response message I receive is HTML.
    When I test this scenario, I can see the HTML response message from third party system in SXMB_MONI but it is not transfered to my message interface. I have a transformation step in which I map this response message to SYSTAT IDoc structure but when I check the workflow container for this transformation step in SXMB_MONI_BPE, the paylod for the message interface is empty.
    Am I missing something?
    What can be done to get this HML response into the message interface?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rahul.

    Hi,
    The adapter configuration is fine. And there is no error in SXMB_MONI.
    Actually the response message is from Oracle Gateway of the receiver system and it includes status code and status text. It is in HTML format.
    I can see this HTML in SXMB_MONI log but it is not getting transferred to response message type in my synchronous message interface. My message type has only one field of type string. And I thought that this HTML will be transferred to the message type as string. I am correct in expecting this?
    If not, is there any way to read this HTML and put it into the response structure of the message interface?
    Thanks for your help.
    Rahul.

  • Convert XML payload to HTML form data in Receiver HTTP Adapter

    Hi,
    I want to make a HTTP request ( Receiver HTTP Adapter ) to a servlet where I need to send the payload in HTML form format ( name=value ). As per the help document:

    Has anyone done this before? I looked through all help documents and forums but in vain. I can resort to Java Mapping to do this but I do not want to re-invent the wheel if I can do it easily using HTTP Adapter Configuration. Please help.

  • HTTP adapter - change encoding from UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1

    Hi,
    I am trying to change the encoding used by the HTTP sender adapter in a scenario.
    However, when I enter ISO-8859-1 in the XML Code under XI Payload Manipulation on the comms channel it has no effect - the paylad still shows as UTF-8 in SXI_MONITOR.
    Am I missing a step or entering the field incorrectly ??
    Thanks
    Colin.

    Hi,
    From help
    Enhancing the Payload
    Some external systems, for example, Web servers in marketplaces, can only process data if it is sent as an HTML form using HTTP.
    A typical HTML form comprises named fields. When transferring a completed form to the server or a CGI program, the data must be transferred in such a way that the CGI script can recognize the fields that make up the form, and which data was entered in which field.
    The plain HTTP adapter constructs this format using a prolog and an epilog. Therefore, there is a particular code method that separates form fields and their data from each other. This code method uses the following rules:
         Individual form elements, including their data, are separated from each other by the character &.
         The name and data of a form element are separated from each other by an equals sign (=).
         Blanks in the entered data (for example, in multiple words) are replaced by a plus sign (+).
        All characters with the (enhanced) ASCII values 128 to 255 (hexadecimal 80 to FF) are transcribed using a hexadecimal sequence, beginning with a percentage sign (%) followed by the hexadecimal value of the character (for example, the German umlaut ö in the character set ISO-8859-1 is transcribed as %F6).
       All characters that occur in these rules as control characters (&, +, =, and %) are also transcribed hexadecimally in the same way as high value ASCII characters
