Handling dynamic OK Codes in BDC

Hello,
I am calling a transaction using BDCDATA. But some OK codes are dynamic. EX: '=%_GC 309 1'.
Actually, I have call a transaction CJ20N(Project builder in PS module)and I should be able to open a Project definition/WBS element automatically(using open button).
I would request to help me in this regard.

I faced similar issue and was able to resolve it.
'%_GC N N' is a dummy okcode dynamically generated and assigned during screen generation. SAP determines the actual okcode once PAI event is triggered.
To determine actual okcode, switch on debugger and navigate to method OKCODE_DISPATCH. Corresponding okcode can be determined from static variable mt_registered_okcodes or through method GET_EVENT_PARAMETER.
Once the FCODE (such as 'SAVE' , 'OIP_CHECK' etc.) is determined, replace '%_GC okcode' with corresponding 'FCODE' in the BDC recording.

Create Timer Jobs dynamically using code (on the fly)

What I am trying to accomplish here is different from the usual "Create and deploy a new custom timer job". So please co operate.
Scenario : I have around 200 lists in my site. Each list gets its data from a third part web service (cutom code / not BCS). The data retrieval happens via Timer Jobs. The Timer Jobs call the web service, gets the fresh data and updates the
list items. This is currently working fine with multiple lists and 1 timer job to refresh the data.
Problem : Now the issue I am facing is, each of the lists have its own Refresh Frequency. Say List 1 to 30 needs to be refreshed every 5 mins. List 31 to 60 every 10 mins, etc. I am currently handling this by having a RefreshLastRun timestamp.
This works fine in most of the scenarios - unless the Web service returns large data, in which case it takes more than 5 to 10 mins for the Update to complete on 4 to 5 lists. At the same time, the other lists - they were supposed to be updated 5 mins ago,
but are still waiting to get updated because the timer job is busy updating another list, and the refresh is in Que. This is a completely unaccepatable solution to my client because the list with lower frequency duration (5 mins) is of a higher priority than
the lists getting refreshed every 10 mins.
My Question is : How do I create a new Timer Job for each list? Whenever I add a new list (through code), I want to create a Timer Job at the same time, which will take care of refreshing the data in this and this list only. This way, I will
have a independent Timer Job for each list and dont have to depend on 1 timer job to take all the load. With this approach I will have 200 timer jobs running. Which is OK with my client. So I create one class inhereting from SPJobDefinition class, and
use it repeatedly to create unlimted timer jobs?
I hope I am able to convey the message. My Timer Jobs are working fine. I dont need suggestions on how to get the timer job working etc. My question is, how do I create a new Job Definition dynamically through code (no deployment).

I'm afraid this leads to a path where you create a single timer job (or windows service) that uses parallel programming (tpl) to handle all the lists. However, that places a huge burden on you to manage schedules, monitoring etc., something the timer job
framework handles for you.

Create Table Control
Step 1 (Create new structure for table control)
Type is name of structure (ZTC_EKKO) and press create
Step 2 (Create Program)
Goto transaction SE80(Object Navigator) -> Repository Browser -> Program.
Enter your program name, please ensure that is begins with SAPMZ as this is a module pool (dialog program).
Press enter to create, and press yes!
Ensure that you create a top include, and press Enter.
Accept the name created for the top include.
Press Enter.
Press Save
Step 3 (Create TOP include)
Double click on the top include and enter following ABAP code:
Tables: ZTC_EKKO.
controls: tc100 type tableview using screen 100.
data: ok_code type sy-ucomm.
data: it_ekko type standard
table of ZTC_EKKO initial size 0,
wa_ekko type ZTC_EKKO.
data: ok_code type sy-ucomm.
Press Save and Activate
Step 4 (Create screen)
Right click the program to create a screen 100 for the dialog. Enter Short description, set screen type to Normal and enter 0 or blank into Next screen. Then move to Element List tab and enter the OK code as OK_CODE (i.e. the same as what you declared in the top include with data: ok_code type sy-ucomm).
Step 5 (Create table control)
Press the Layout button to bring up the screen painter editor.
Press table control button and drag it on to the screen, enter the name of table control created in TOP include (TC100). Now press the yellow button for attributes and set the table control as below options
Step 6 (Populate table control )
Press the orange button (Fields). On the next screen enter ZTC_EKKO and press the Get from Dict button. Select the fields you want (all) and press enter. Now drag them onto your Table Control.
Below is the result, there will been syntax errors if we check now! So Save and go back into the flow logic tab.
Step 7 (Create flow control )
Within the flow logic of screen 100 and create two modules, one to select the data from the database and the other to move the selected fields into the table control. Also insert the two loop statements to populate and retrieve the lines of the table control.

Based on your previous threads posted by you in the test forum, I doubt that you want to create the coded UI test, am I right?
If so, which kind of app did you want to test, WPF or others? Could you share us a screen shot about the real UI controls you want to test? What real Controls you want to test, list item controls or others?
You know that to find a control in coded UI test, we have to use the unique peoperties as the search properties, so if your controls are dynamic, the real issue would be related to the search properties you use in your code.

As Pankaj's suggestion, if the list items are dynamic then you can use the index values instead of the innertext, so the real issue would be related to how to use the search perperties in your side. If you item text value is dynamic, you'd better not
use the text value as the search properties.

Why do I get a "NullReferenceException was not handled by user code" error in one situation but not in the other?

We are using Sharepoint 2010 and Infopath 2010. In my form, I have a Managed Metadata field that I need to test for a Null value. I found, with the help of this forum's participatns, that a [field]_Changed event for one MMD field runs multiple
time because of the underlying XML elements (Terms, TermInfo, TermName, TermId). So I'm trying to figure out how to test the XML to see when the TermName has a value. By doing this, I hope to limit when the additional code in my form runs, i.e.
I'll only trigger it when TermName is not null.
Just to test for null/empty (before doing anything that calls the addtional code) when I run this code, it completes correctly but always shows a message box:

How to Handle dynamic views in mm01 transaction

Can any body say me how to handle Dynamic views in MM01 tcode. Since every time new view has to be selected, how can we manage this through our program.

Dynamic Java Code?

Is there a way to compose dynamic java code?
For example in PL/SQL I can compose valid statement dynamicly on runtime on base of string variables, execute it and get the result:
execute immediate ' SELET * FROM dual'Let's say, in Java I accept simple arithmetic statement from console 4+2. If I will pass it to System.out.print, then I get echo of this statement:
System.out.print(arg[0]);but result is different if I do following:
System.out.print(4+2);So I would like to see the way to compose the System.out.print(4+2) dynamicly within the code on base of string variables and execute it.
Any opinions?

OK Codes for Custom T Codes in BDC

Hi,
We were trying to post an IDOC through a CUSTOM T-CODE developed as per requrement. For this purpose we are using a BDC recording for posting the IDOC.
However in case of Sales Order with multiple line item we need to Scroll down and the OKCodes (P+ and /00 as per the recording) for the same is not working.
Anyone with any experience regarding the OK Codes and BDC, could you please help.

The problem is that we are not Creating Sales Order through this CUSTOM TCode. We are creating it thought a BAPI only.
After The sales order has been created, we are doing the Shipment and Delivery through this Custom TCODE and hence need the OKCODE for the Scroll in case of MULTIPLE LINE ITEMS in Sales Order.
Do the OK Codes vary based on the TCodes(if it is a Custom TCode or a standard)?
Also have tried running the recording again and the OkCode (/00) recorded does not work when it is rerun in the forground or Background.
Any help/ opinion on the same is welcome.

Can Business One handle multiple company codes / multi national co. codes?

I have been told that SAP Business one can not handle multiple company codes, is this correct ?

Answer from you second question: Yes and No. When these different countries are in the same cluster, i.e. A or B , you can. Otherwise, you can't.
Now back to your first question. If you want use B1 for multiple companies which are not related, then you shouldn't because any B1 licenses should be under strict control. License is not shareable. If they under one group, then there are no problem to have multiple companies with one exception as the first answer to your second question..

How to handle dynamic screens in bdc

i am working on BDC for CA02 in this i have probelm that if operation 10 it doesnot contains any items it showing one screen and if operation 10 contain some items

Handling a warning message in BDC through RFC

Hi all,
I have a requirement where I have to do a CALL TRANSACTION using a RFC Fn. Module.
This is for sending time sheet data to CATSDB thru CAT2 (T-code). In the process of time entry I have to go through a warning message (time entry for saturday & sunday ) and save the time sheet. I have recorded all this thru SHDB and created the BDC. The FM works fine in the back end. It is also fine when this RFC is called in the front end from a portal, except for the warning message part. The FM errors out when called thru portal for uploading data for saturday or sunday.
There seems to be no problem when I call this function module in the backend using a custom program and try to save time for saturday and sunday. I have tried various options and founnd that the RFC is failing only when called for saturday and sunday. Somehow the BDC part where the warning message is handled is causing the error.
One of my colleague said, the backend is trying to return a dialog box/screen (warning message pop up) to the fucntion module which is not being accomodated or something of that sort????
Is this true??? So does this mean I cannot do it the way I am trying to.
Any suggestions and thoughts on why this is happening. Am I missing something here???

I was probably not very clear in stating my problem. I do not have to display the error or warning message.
During time entry,when I click SAVE button, I get a warning message, to get through this message I have to hit ENTER again (now the time sheet is saved). All this I have recorded in SHDB and used in the BDC.
Now my problem is this BDC for saturday & sunday (the warning message comes up for these days) does not work when the RFC is called from the portal, whereas the time sheet is saved without any errors when I try to call this from the back end.
Also the RFC works fine for the rest of the days both in the back end and also when called from the portal.
I hope I am clear.....
