HANDLING HTTP "GET"  IN SENDER ADAPTER

Hi,
I have a Scenario where I have to use HTTP GET Adapter  to get data from a website daily to PI and Post the data from PI to SAP ECC.On the receiver end Idoc is being used.I need help on what to use (From sdn I came to know that Java Proxy or Adapter Module can be used ) and how to configure the sender adapter in this scenario.In case of Adpater module the steps needed to configure the scenario would be helpful.In case of Java Proxy sample code that would suit the scenario would be appreciated.

Only 7.3 version (Latest) supports HTTP GET method. All previous versions support only POST.
In your case java proxy is better choice.
Refer these standard links.
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/7d4db211-0d01-0010-1e8e-9b07fc2113ab?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true

Basically you have to create java proxy for the outbound (sender) interface and use those proxy(stub) objects to code in java. Refer sender java proxy in the above link.

  • HTTP GET for sender adapter possible ?

    I have to get XML-messages from third party webservice. I should use HTTP GET to get the data but is this possible in XI ? I mean like RFC->XI->HTTP(GET) and I would process the response from HTTP GET call.

    Hi Jari,
    For getting response from web service, you should use SOAP adapter.
    Anyways,if it for web application, you can use HTTP get in XI for synchronous communication.
    Have a look at these blogs for details -

  • HTTPS-based SOAP Sender Adapter

    Dear all,
    We're using NetWeaver 2004s SP12. I need to enable an HTTPS based SOAP sender adapter. According to online-help document at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/fc/5ad93f130f9215e10000000a155106/content.htm, there should be a field "HTTP security level" to specify whether HTTPS is used. But I cannot find it in the communication channel configuration UI. Does anybody have any idea?
    Thanks + Best Regards
    Jerome

    Hi
    Just a try with this link am not sure ...
    <i>If you want to specify security checks in the message header for the plain HTTP inbound channel, create a communication channel <b>for the party and service</b> in the Integration Directory.</i>

  • Enabling SSL for HTTP Sender Adapter

    Hi Experts,
    I'd like to have a step by step process in enabling HTTPS for Plain_HTTP Sender Adapter. I've already read the enabling HTTPS on SAP Help, but it does not provide much detail. Would the steps be the same for enabling HTTPS for Plain_HTTP Receiver which are:
    1. Install the certificates using STRUST
    2. Configure an RFC Destination using SM59
    3. Call your RFC Destination in Receiver HTTP Adapter (not valid for http sender adapter)
    The connection for setting up http is http://<hostname>:port/<path>?<query string>
    but what about https? Would it be connecting to the webdispatcher first?
    Hope you can help me,
    Regards,

    Hi,
    as HTTP Adapter is on ABAB stack you will need to configure with STRUST.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/ef2940cbf2195de10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    The URL should start then with https, but you could test with this sample client:

  • Implementation of OSB service to Http GET XML payload

    Hi,
    I am new to OSB.I have a requirement where Ecommerce system will post a XML over HTTP.
    Our OSB service has to receive that XML using Http GET and send it to a SOA composite as a SOAP.
    My doubt are
    1.can we implement the proxy service with service type any XML structure
    2.Will Ecommerce provide any WSDL so that we can configure it in our proxy service.
    Pls help.

  • How to handle flat file with variable delimiters in the file sender adapter

    Hi friends,
    I have some flat files in the ftp server and hope to poll them into XI, but before processing in XI, I hope to do some content conversion in the file sender adapter, according to the general solution, I just need to specify the field names, field seperator, end seperator, etc. But the questions is:
    The fileds in the test data may have different amount of delimiters (,), for example:
    ORD01,,,Z4XS,6100001746,,,,,2,1
    OBJ01,,,,,,,,,,4,3
    Some fileds only have 1 ',' as the delimiter, but some of them have multiple ','.
    How can I handle it in the content conversion?

  • Handling large messages with MQ JMS sender adapter

    Hi.
    Im having trouble handling large messages with a MQ JMS sender adapter.
    The messages are around 35-40MB.
    Are there any settings I can ajust to make the communication channel work?
    Error message is:
    A channel error occurred. The detailed error (if any) : JMS error:MQJMS2002: failed to get message from MQ queue, Linked error:MQJE001: Completion Code 2, Reason 2010, Error Code:MQJMS2002
    The communication channel works fine with small messages!
    Im on SAP PI 7.11, MQ Driver is version 6.
    Best Regards...

    The problem solved itself, when the MQ server crashed and restarted.

  • Mail Sender Adapter - Attachment Handling

    Hello,
    I 'm using XI 3.0 SP 14.
    I have problems with my Mail-Sender-Adapter.
    The mails, I fetch, have an xml-attachment which
    represents an IDOC-structure (ORDERS.ORDERS05).
    I want to sent this attachment as payload to an SAP-System.
    The problem is now, that I have 2 Payloads (SXMB_MONI).
    One for the normal email-body and one for my original
    xml-attachment. See below:
    - <SAP:Payload xlink:href="cid:[email protected]">
      <SAP:Name>MailMessage</SAP:Name>
      <SAP:Description>mail message</SAP:Description>
      <SAP:Type>Application</SAP:Type>
      </SAP:Payload>
    - <SAP:Payload xlink:href="cid:[email protected]">
      <SAP:Name>MailAttachment-1</SAP:Name>
      <SAP:Description>mail attachment</SAP:Description>
      <SAP:Type>ApplicationAttachment</SAP:Type>
      </SAP:Payload>
      </SAP:Manifest>
      </SOAP:Body>
    The XI Runtime Workbench (SXMB_MONI) takes (in my case)
    the wrong one (email-body-attachment) and gives me
    an parsing error. (Error occurs at my IDOC-Receiver-Adapter)
    Now my question:
    Can I remove the email-body-attachment, so that
    the further processing works with my xml-attachment?
    Or how can I resolve my problem.
    best regards
    Marcel Reichert

    Hi Marcel,
    use the PayloadSwapBean module to get the attachment as main payload.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2e/bf37423cf7ab04e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    As parameters use:
    swap.keyName = payload-name
    swap.keyValue = MailAttachment-1

  • UDF to get the filename for File Sender Adapter

    Hi,

    I had configured the File Sender Adapter settings in the ID
    This is the following UDF i got from SDN.
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    String ourSourceFileName = conf.get(key);
    return  ourSourceFileName;
    But when iam using this UDF iam getting an error

    Please help me in correcting the error.
    Thanks
    Srinivas

    Hi Jayson,
    actually, in the interface mapping, it doesn't give exception.
    The DynamicConfiguration is a constant retrieved from the container object, so it will never be returned as null (given that the container object was instantiated).
    Just the retrieved value will be null (since it was not previously set), but no exception occurs.
    In the message mapping, the container object is never instantiated, and that's the reason for the NullPointerException.
    Regards,
    Henrique.

  • Event Handling in JDBC sender adapter

    Hi,
    please help me in this scenario.
    Scenario is Third Party will update the Header and Item values in to Database table.
    Once the update is done , a program will run in Thrid party system and it will update the Event Table with the primary key value of the DB table.
    So my JDBC sender should be looking for the event table updation. Whenever there is an update in the event table the JDBC sender should automatically kicked off and it should select all the field in the DB table where the primary key = Event table.primary key and the values will be generated as an Idoc.
    1.How will i achive this scenario.
    2.How to configure the JDBC sender Adapter which gets triggered automatically when there is an updation in event table.
    please advice.
    Thanks,
    Sujatha

    Hi,
    >>2.How to configure the JDBC sender Adapter which gets triggered automatically when there is an updation in event table.
    There is way to control the Communciation Channel externally. Refer this help document http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/45/0c86aab4d14dece10000000a11466f/content.htm.
    Or alternately you can create a query that always queries only the updated record and configure the JDBC adapter which would periodiocally look the DB...

  • How to use the http sender adapter

    Hi,
    I'm trying to use the http sender adapter but not getting the result.
    1)  I've created the commnunication channel in Integration Directory.
    2)  I have my url:
    http://<server>:56000/sap/xi/adapter_plain?service=BS&namespace=urn%3Acompany%3Apoc&interface=interface
    3)  When i copy that url in a browser i get a login prompt. When i log in i get a message that navigation is cancelled.
    What steps do i need to do to use this url to send my xml message to the adapter engine. Do i need a special system user for this? Any other tools required? (i have httpclient but using that doesnt send messages to the adapter_plain; i think)
    I feel i'm just missing one little thing, but what is it.

    Hello Team,
    I added the user name & pwd to query string & trying to access from IE and still getting blank page.

  • Http sender adapter: QoS is interpreted as Best Effort by PI 7.11

    Hi
    I have a scenario, where I receive an xml OrderResponse via an http sender adapter and I then map it to an iDoc which is sent to the backend system.
    BUT: for some reason, PI thinks, that the Quality of Service is BE, and I get the error "Only asynchronous processing supported for IDoc adapter outbound processg".
    I have checked both the http sender adapter, the sender agreement, the interface mapping, the service interface and the operation mapping and nowhere can I see, that best effort is selected.
    The OrderResponse is sent from an external partner and is routed through a load balancer and an SAP web dispatcher before arriving to PI.
    Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
    MIkael Lund

    The external partner is sending the OrderResponse to this URL (external URL):
    https://xxxxxx.xxxxxxxx.dk/sap/xi/adapter_plain?service=LM&namespace=http://xxxxxxxx.dk/XCBL/OrderResponse&interface=xCBLOrderResponse35Out
    this URL is being translated to an internal URL:
    https://yyyyyyy.yyyyyyy.dk/sap/xi/adapter_plain?service=LM&namespace=http://xxxxxxxx.dk/XCBL/OrderResponse&interface=xCBLOrderResponse35Out
    So how should the external and/or internal URL be altered?
    Thanks for a very quick answer by the way

  • SOAP Sender Adapter gets error '(401) Unauthorized.'

    Hi all,
    we are using XI 3.0 and have a scenario with a SOAP Sender Adapter, which is using "HTTPS with Client Authentication". I have configured everything I have found on the forum at Visual Admin and Integration Directory:
    Set the UME property ume.logon.allow_cert to TRUE in 'Service-->UME Provider'
    Imported client certificate and root CA certificate to 'Service-->Keystore'
    Created user with role role SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER
    Assigned this user to the client certificate in 'Security Provider-->UserManagement'
    Added the user to xi_adapter_soap_message and xi_adapter_soap_help in 'Security Provider'
    Added the root CA in 'SSL Provider>Dispatcher>Client Authentication' and marked 'Request client certificate.
    Added the user to BusinessSystem at tab 'Assigned Users'
    Added the user to Sender Agreement at tab 'Assigned Users'.
    Our business partner got a certificate of our server and the according PrivateKey is added to 'SSL Provider>Dispatcher>Server Identity'
    Unfortunately, our server certificate is not verified by an root CA!!
    When the business partner now browse the URL 'https://url:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:BS_3RD_PARTNER:SOAP_SENDER&nosoap=true' on his system, he will get a 'Message Servlet is in Status OK'.
    But when he tries to process the URL directly in his messaging system, he gets an error '(401) Unauthorized.'
    Any hints what could be the problem between browing the URL in InternetExplorer and sending from the messaging system?
    Does it really mean that authorization was successful, when getting  'Message Servlet is in Status OK' in the Browser?
    How can I assign an user when not using ClientAuthentication?
    I would be very thankful for every help...
    Grtz, Juergen

    Hi Satish,
    could the user or password also be wrong, even if you get 'Message Servlet is in Status OK' when browsing the URL in the Internet Explorer? I would have seen this as a sign, that the user authentication works basically...
    Is there a special place to store the password in the Visual Admin, or will the password be used, which is available in the SU01 ?
    Grtz,
    Juergen
