Hardware mínimo para escenario vpdn (LAC&LNS)

Buenos días,
¿Alguno de ustedes sabría decirme cuál es la plataforma mínima para realizar funciones de LAC y LNS? ¿Y la versión de IOS requerida? Necesitaría poder soportar un máximo de 25 túneles de usuario.

Te recomiendo que lo escribas en inglés, de esa forma lo leerá mucha más gente y las probabilidades de que alguien te eche una mano aumentan exponencialmente.

Estimated throughput may be up to 100/10Mb. This is the wan access provided by our ISP.
I think that 28xx/29xx routers are more than I need. These platforms are running as LNS for more than 100 users in another site.
I want to know if anyone is using any 800/1900 series router for LNS. And what about the IOS version, will sec/k9 needed?

Since the AEBS has only a single ethernet LAN port, the correct way to connect more that one cabled device to it is to use a basic ethernet switch. Using a router to do this job as you have done is (a) unnecessary, (b) more costly, and (c) directly causing the very problem you are trying to solve.
Get rid of the Linksys router, replace it with a $30 4-port ethernet switch, and your problems will go away. Since the AEBS will be the only router on your network (as it should be) you only need to set up port mapping on the AEBS as described in the article How do I use port mapping.

PPPoE multiple profiles for VPDN

I'm trying to set up a single router to terminate PPPoE connections and offer different rates using virtual templates. All the documentation seems to be focused on LAC/LNS installs. In this case we effectively just have a single router performing both functions.

RADIUS config for VRF-aware VPDN multihop tunnel

Can't find the LNS config directives those will lead to get complete(!) vpdn profile from radius.
The configuration is:
LAC-LNS/PE-LNS/CE
LNS/PE - provider edge lns that we want to configure using radius profile for vrf-aware multihop vpdn so that incoming tunnel is switched out to LNS/CE in one of the vrfs configured on LNS/PE.
The "vpdn tunnel authorization " command lets me get the profile for ingress session coming from LAC, but in order to switch the tunnel further to LNS/CE i have to config vpdn-group on LNS/PE. Is it possible to make a RADIUS profile that LNS/PE will use for both ingress and egress tunnels?

Configuring 887VA as an LNS

Hi,
I'm trying to setup a lab in order to test the function of a freeradius server to authenticate network access via an LNS, before I introduce it to the live environment.
I have 2 887VA's to play with in a test environment but I don't have a DSL line.
Can I connect together the Ethernet ports of the 2 887's and configure one to act as an LNS and the other to act as a DSL client (I want to somehow tell the dialer0 interface to use PPPoE and use Fa0 as the source). I then want the LNS to assign an IP to the client (served from Radius) in order for the client to be able to access the onward network.

I've now got 3 887VA's (although I'm sure I could do this fewer) connected via DSLAM in the lab in a typical deployment:

My colleague is saying he's seeing MAC addresses on the DSLAM.
I cannot get any L2TP or PPP functionality. Output of 'sh vpdn session' or 'sh ppp all' is always empty. If I enable any kind of VPDN or PPP debugging I never get anything written to the log. This leads me to suspect I've made a fundamental error here.
Any ideas? I know this is probably quite elementary for someone who knows this technology but I'm stuck

O técnico entrou remotamente e fez todos os estes possíveis e imagináveis.
Fiquei remotamente durante uma hora e trinta minutos. E ele não conseguiu resolver.
O problema não é com o outlook é com o GMAIL.
Após vários testes, agora aparece a seguinte mensagem de erro:
“Servidor respondeu: 421 4.7.0 Temporary S” pelo outlook e pelo GMAIL (#872)
O técnico da Microsoft informou que o problema é com o GMAIL.
Por favor estou desesperada, desde 10 de julho de 2014 não recebo e envio e-mail da conta:
Tenho essa conta para trabalho e pessoal, isso esta causando muito prejuízos.
POR FAVOR ME AJUDE A RESOLVER ISSO.

O mesmo problema ocorre quando você utiliza um navegador (Chrome, Firefox ou Internet Explorer) ou somente quando você utiliza um programa cliente de email (ex: Outlook).

El 3G es un telefono que salio hace mas de 4 años y fue descontinuado hace mas de 2 1/2. El aparato no tiene la potencia/hardware y requerimientos para correr iOS 6. Los desarrolladores de los apps a que te refieres (me imagino Whatsaap y/o FaceBook) han decidido NO hacer sus apps compatible con la version del iOS que estas corriendo en el 3G. Fue desicion de ellos y no de Apple.
Quejate con ellos. APple no tiene nada que ver con eso. Tu otra alternativa es comprarte un iPhone 4 (o 3GS)

LaCie "Eco Mode" causing Time Machine problems

I just purchased a LaCie P'9231, which is advertised as an Apple Store Exclusive. I've been having problems with it and Time Machine and I'm starting to think its due to the Eco Mode feature. I'd rather have the HD on all the time and turn "Eco Mode" completely off and I've unchecked the "Put the Hard Disk to Sleep..." option in Energy Saver. Still I'm looking at it right in front of me in Eco Mode (so it didn't help). Any drivers to instal or are others experienceing this problem? Thank you so much!!!!

I just encountered essentially the same problem with a new LaCie "USB 3.0" 3-terabyte d2 drive (part of their new "v3" series). Although it's called the "USB 3.0" drive, it actually has ports for eSata, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and Firewire 800 -- I use Firewire 800.
The manual says you can turn off Eco Mode using the LaCie Desktop Manager. I want it turned off because I have several drives and waiting for them to spin up one by one every time I use my Mac is unacceptable. Desktop Manager's Eco tab has a single button that takes you to the Energy Saver pane of System Preferences, where I always have the 'Put the Hard Disk to Sleep..." option turned off. The manual says this will stop the drive from spinning down in Eco Mode.
Nevertheless, the drive always spins down after a few minutes of inactivity. Worse, it will NOT spin back up when I open the drive's window or drag a file onto it. Instead, it freezes the Finder so that I can do nothing on my Mac -- among other things, I can't drag the drive icon to the trash to dismount it. I have to turn the drive off using its power switch, which of course brings up an alert telling me that doing this might damage the drive and instead I should dismount it first -- and then the Finder comes back to life. According to Desktop Manager, I could also set up the button on the front of the drive so that pushing it will cause the drive to spin back up. I haven't bothered to try that because I am unwilling to have to turn my devices on and off by pushing hardware buttons all the time.
LaCie tech support just sent me a message telling me that the drive is designed so that you cannot turn off Eco Mode. That is directly inconsistent with the manual, so I assume tech support means that they still don't have the firmware in the drive working right. They released a firmware update in late August that supposedly fixes a wake/sleep problem, but reading between the lines of the tech support messages I received, that apparently relates only to a problem when your Mac goes to sleep -- I have mine set so that it never sleeps.
Bottom line: unless and until LaCie revises the firmware to allow the drive to keep spinning all the time -- as advertised -- this product is essentially unusable to me.

L2tp authentication question

We have a LNS which is connecting to our partners LAC. I've been mandated to provide password authentication for this connection. Looking online, all that I see is authentication for the users that will be using the LAC/LNS connection. But... I don't see a way to authenticate the LAC itself. This is a working tunnel currently, with no password for the LAC/LNS connection.

Better you can try LNS authentication server performs an authentication process based on the LNS local name and shared password . And the LNS can perform the authentication locally

Lo conseguí! He leído que con el cargador usb , al estar completamente agotada la batería , no se puede cargar porque necesita un mínimo para cargarse por usb. Why I left Windows Phone

So yesterday I got my Samsung Galaxy S3. It is a great phone, but I felt kind of bummed out because the device I replaced was my HTC Trophy, a Windows phone. This ended my 1 year plus use of the Windows Phone OS and sent me back to Android once again. Why? There were a few reasons for this, I just wanted to name a few.
1. Hardware - Anyone who jumped in on Windows Phone's only offering to Verizon customers at the time knew that the hardware was below par of most Android devices offered at the time. Lack of SD card and display made it a mediocre choice, but the new OS was intriguing enough to draw me in. I had an Xperia Play (another disappointing phone Sony) and decided to trade it for my Trophy. Though the screen and camera were not on par with Sony's offering, I really wanted to give it a try. Being a Zune HD user made the transition pretty easy & the interface was beautiful. Again, hardware was lacking, but driven by an innovating OS. New hardware specs are pretty much on par with recent Android devices, but that cannot make up for....
2. Software - I found my Trophy had a few hiccups once in a while. Nothing too bad, but apps would sometimes force close or not even open at all. There was a single upgrade that could not be done OTA, but had to be hooked up to Zune to download and install. This was not too much of a issue at first, but why no OTA over at least WiFi? It would come to be a non issue since the Trophy was the ******* child of Verizon, put in a room somewhere; forgotten about and left to just sit there with no updates whatsoever. After a while, I got frustrated and turned to XDA for custom builds. One was a 7.8 build which made the OS slightly more appealing, but still had OS issues with apps. Speaking of.....
3. Apps & Marketplace - This was the major flaw with WP. No apps. Sure there were a few offerings, but nothing compared to iOS or Android. I know WP is newer to the market and had claimed a huge increase in apps, but from what I could see, nothing worth bragging about. One example was Draw Something. This game had come and gone, gone even further, and then was given life on WP, well sort of given life. It was buggy, crashed constantly, and finding someone to play with was hardly worth the effort. Other games like Mini Squadron and Final Fantasy ran perfect and provided a lot of entertainment. Oh, Physibricks was also a great one! Other apps were nothing more than web page conversions. The entire time I used my phone I only had good experiences with the Engadget app (when using 3G, WiFi was slower for some reason) and the Zune software, which was the best integrated music software ever imo. Songs loaded fast and the huge marketplace made it easy to get any song you wanted. This is the one feature I really loved about WP. I could be somewhere, hear a song, hit the search button and select music. Not only would it find the song, it would take me to the market to download it though my ZunePass. Spotify, Pandora, IHeartRadio, none of these services could hold a match to Zune Pass on WP. This is the only thing I will miss on Android, well, until Xbox music has it App up and running, and if it is as nice as its WP counterpart.
Microsoft, you want to sell devices, then invest in the developers like you did with Xbox. You got Nokia which was an awesome start, but you knew the market you were getting into and knew what your competitors had out there. You should have gone in stronger than this. Offer developers 100% of their profits, 1 year of Xbox music free with new device, $0.99 app submit fee, free development software, big incentives for developers to bring apps over from other OS's, $2.99 for Angry Birds?, bring more of your Xbox live titles to mobile, and tap your home developers (XDA!) to see what you could do to bring customers. Start off big and work with handset developers and get their involvement. Its not too late to get things fixed, but to get me to come back to Windows phone and some others to leave iOS and Android, you need to get better fast or go the route of Kin.

I agree, the UI and the OS are good, but lacking in what is offered by the other two major OS's. Each one has their good and bad, but some more than others. You are right about low end options. I do like the 8X a lot, but after using other hardware besides HTC, I decided to give Samsung a try. The new WP8 hardware has started to look a lot more appealing, even in more ways than the normal Android offerings, but performance is still on par with what handset creators have been pushing on Android 6 months earlier.Dual Core processor, good GPU, MicroSD card slot, 4G, HD display. These are stats you could find in most Android devices a year ago. Now, does Windows phone need to surpass these stats? Not really, but its nice to have a somewhat future proof device that won't be obsolete 3-6 months after you get it with no chances of updating (WP7 users feel me on this). Microsoft set a standard HW requirement for WP7 and guess what, hardware manufactures stuck with it. Why? Because MS didn't allow a lot of the features that other phones had, weak strategy. Don't release behind the curve software if its not on par with your competition because you get behind the curve hardware to run it.
Weak apps is a definite description I still stand by. MS made a huge deal about app requirements and efforts to get developers to create apps that fit well into the WP7 environment. I saw very little of this if any. Even top name apps are buggy at best (ESPN, CNN, LinkedIn). I've used these apps on iOS and Android and the quality far exceeds those on WP. I don't need a lot of apps, just ones that are useful and functional for my everyday personal and professional use. If I can't depend of developers of major apps to provide high quality apps for a high quality OS, then what is the use? I can tell you there were many productive apps on my Android phones that I could not find on WP. Now, this could be because of WP7/8 app compatibility, but could not be sure.
Again, I wish I could had been more excited about WP8, but from my WP7 use, I could not trust entering into a 2 year contract with another unproven OS. I hope WP8 has majorly improved over its predecessor so I will be able to go back to a MS product, but until then, I'd feel better investing in a proven OS.
