Has any body tried increasing the width of editable dropdownbox

Hi,
Has any body tried increasing the width of editable dropdownbox.
anyway i will be attempting it soon.
If anybody has done it please guide me.
Thanks.

After overriding findByKey and not calling super if the passed Key is null, I found another error; BC is trying to update the PK of type DBSequence - JBO-27008 ReadOnlyAttrException. My "fix" was to override the setAttribute method in my ViewRowImpl and ignore any attempt to update the PK.
Everything is working now and I get my JBO-27014 mandatory error messages.
Just a side note: If I just change my mandatory field to another value, the setAttritbute method for the field gets hit just once. If I set it to blank, it gets hit 5 times for the same field and once for the PK field. The PK value being sent is always from the first row in my editable table.

    I just bought a canon pixma iX6540 printer only to find out that the driver is not supported. I am using Mac OS X v10.7. Can someone help please. Thanks

    Although it mentions OS 10.6 on the link, have you tried downloading the latest drivers - if you haven't already - from the Apple Support site, maybe they'll work:

  • Reader: any way to increase the width?

    I love Safari's Reader function...I just wish it took up a wider portion of the screen.   Currently, the text itself, not including the margins of the "paper", takes up less than 50% of the screen width.
    I know the answer is NO, but thought I'd ask anyway...

    This was a little time consuming but not too difficult. Unless somebody knows of a better way you might like to try the following.
    Go to /Applications/Safari.app/Contents with 'Go To Folder' - on Finder Go menu
    Put alias of Resources folder onto Desktop - highlight / cmd L and then drag
    Close Contents folder
    Double click alias and highlight Reader.html then hit cmd D to duplicate it as a backup
    Open original Reader.html with Safari and 'View as source'
    Select all (cmd A) and copy / paste into new TextEdit document
    Quit from Safari
    Copy and paste the following onto new lines just before </style>
    /* The following modification increases width by 300px. */
    #container { margin-left: -581px; width: 1162px }
    #drop-shadow { width: 1100px }
    #article { width: 1119px }
    .article-fade { width: 1100px }
    .page { width: 958px }
    Save to Desktop as Reader.html
    Option drag Desktop version of Reader.html onto alias to replace original
    Start Safari and test
    Good luck.

  • Increase the width of browser drop down display

    Hi All,
    I am displaying a list of items which are lengthier in browser. Is it possible to increase the width of displaying dropped down list, by keeping the actual width of the browser static??
    Regards,
    Ravi Kumar

    Hi Ravi
    I tried but could not get any option. I dont think so we can increase only the width of display area of the browser list, but not the width of browser itself.
    We need to increase the width of browser,then only display area also will increase.
    If you found, then you can share.

    Hi bsbiran ,
    use setPreferredSize on JScrollBar
    Beware that setting any of the setXXSize (with XX = min/max/pref) completely by-passes any size-calculation normally done by the component and/or its ui-delegate. So that's definitely not recommended. Even if it works now it sure will come back to and bite you later.
    @OP: the basic question is: Why do you want to do it? Typically, a component's pref sizing is determined internally based on some state. If you want to augment that internally calculated size, the correct way is to subclass the component, override the getXXSize and add any custom calculation.

  • How to increase the width of the Crystal Report

    Hello All
    How to increase the width of the Crystal report template in the CR designer in .NET 2005 editor ?
    I need to design a report which has to accomodate more number of columns.So achieve that i need to redesign the report having more width.
    CrystalReports version 10.2.3600.0
    Thanks in advance
    Srivatsa

    HI Srivatsa,
    You can make a wider report by creating virtual pages. Virtual pages are the extra pages to the right of the main page that get created to accommodate cross-tabs that are wider than a single page. By inserting a cross-tab in a report then suppressing it, you can create a report that is multiple pages wide.
    Insert and Suppress a Cross-Tab
    1. On the 'Insert' menu, click 'Cross-Tab'.
    2. In the Cross-Tab Expert, click any field and move it into the 'Columns' box, and click any field and move it into the 'Summarized Fields' box. Do not move any fields into the 'Rows' box.
    3. Click the 'Customize Style' tab and select the following check boxes:
    " Suppress Empty Rows
    " Suppress Empty Columns
    " Suppress Row Grand Totals
    " Suppress Column Grand Totals
    4. Click the 'OK' button and then insert the cross-tab into the Report Header section.
    5. On the 'Report' menu, click 'Format Sections'. Click 'Report Header' and select the 'Underlay Following Sections' check box.
    When you run the report you will not see the cross-tab, but you will be able to scroll to the right and see multiple virtual pages.
    ====================
    NOTES:
    " As there are no rows to the Cross-Tab, it does not carry on to Page 2 and the virtual pages do not appear past the first page.
    " To increase or decrease the number of virtual pages do one of the following:
    - Limit the number of records for the field in the 'Column' box of the 'Cross-Tab Expert' using the 'Select Expert'.
    - Change the width of the 'Column' field in the Cross-Tab by moving the edges of the field.
    ====================
    How to Insert Fields on Virtual Pages
    You cannot drag-and-drop a field onto a virtual page, you can only do so on the main page. To get a field to appear on a virtual page:
    1. Insert the field on the main page.
    2. Click the 'Preview' tab.
    3. Drag the right edge of the field to the right, onto the virtual page.
    4. Drag the left edge of the field to the right, onto the virtual page.
    Hope this helps!!

    Shweta

  • How to increase the width of the drop down list box in SSRS multi value parameter

    Hi,
    I am using SSRS 2012. I have a parameter, which accepts multi value.
    The width of the drop down list box is very small, and the user need to scroll to the right to view the complete view of the content in the list box. But, if I don't use multi value then the length is good.  Kindly suggest how to I increase the width
    of the list box when it set to multi value parameter.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mahalengam Arumugam

    Hi Mahalengam,
    After testing the issue in my local environment, I can reproduce it. When the values for a single parameter are too long, the drop-down list of the parameter will automatically enlarge to an appropriate size. While the values for a multiple parameter are
    too long, we need to scroll to the right to view the complete view of the content in the list box in SSRS 2008. But in SSRS 2008R2 and SSRS 2012, we can directly drag the black control at the bottom of the list box to control the size.
    The following screenshot is for your reference:
    If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.
    Thanks,

    Hi Katherine,
    Thanks for your reply. I understood we need to drag the list box to a maximum size to view the contents.
    But, this seems an additional task, i know this is a limitation in the current version of SSRS and hope it will be resolved in the next versions.
    Thanks for your efforts,

  • Increasing the width of Pivot table Columns

    Hi Gurus,
    Small pivot table --> ( ie having less no of columns which generally can be seen in a single page without scrolling to the right)
    If i have a small pivot table , then in the column properties through additional formatting options i can increase the width of an individual column.
    However if the pivot table is Big,I am not able to increase the width of the individual column .
    I tried setting width in the additional formatting options in the Content Properties( just above Rows and below Section there is a small grey box containing finger).
    Now the Content Properties indeed increases the width of the column, but it also increase the width of the whole Pivot Table.
    See...If i have a fixed number of columns in a PIVOT Table that do not change with prompt, then this solution work fine...
    but the problem comes when the no of columns in pivot Table reduces based on the prompt selected.
    In this case the less no of columns tries to occupy the whole width set in the content properties.
    In short, with Content Properties the width of the PIVOT Table becomes fixed, irrespective of the no of columns coming.
    Also after setting content properties, I am not able to print the report to PDF.
    So the Question is... Can we increase the width of a Big Pivot Table whose no of columns keeps on changing based on the prompt....
    Big pivot table -->
    (ie table having no of columns which exceeds a single window frame and have to scroll to right to see the rest of the columns)
    I hope i have not made things messy...
    Thanks
    Ashish

    Ashish,
    Yes, you can set a fixed size for these. I'm sure you are fixing these because of PDF issue which might be irregular in sizes. Just play arnd with Custom CSS options.

  • Has any body work with Crystal Report XI and JDeveloper 10.1.3 ?

    Hi All,
    We want to use Crystal Report XI as our reporting tools and integrate it with our jsp/jspx application developed with JDeveloper 10.1.3.
    Has any body succesfully done this kind of integration ?
    Could you please share it with me ?
    Thank you for your info,
    xtanto

    Hi friends,
    I use Crystal Reoprt XI (release 1) with JDev 10.1.3, never try Crystal 10 with JDev.
    Here is what I do :
    1. Install CR XI on the same machine with JDev 10.1.3.
    2. Modify CRConfig.XML on folder : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\java on three places :
    <JavaDir>D:\JDev1013\jdk\bin</JavaDir>
    <Classpath>D:\JDev1013\jdbc\lib\ocrs12.jar;D:\JDev1013\jdbc\lib\ojdbc14.jar;D:\JDev1013\jdbc\lib\ojdbc14dms.jar;D:\JDev1013\jdbc\lib\orai18n.jar; .... [original classpath]
    <JDBCURL>jdbc:oracle:thin:@oracle.sas.co.id:1521:ORCL</JDBCURL>
    <JDBCClassName>oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver</JDBCClassName>
    <JDBCUserName>myuserid</JDBCUserName>     <JNDIURL></JNDIURL>
    3. Create the report using Crystal XI, USE JDBC CONNECTION, and it takes about 12-20 minutes to connect, don'y know why :)
    ( now the integration part )
    4. Create a project for the report in our apps workspace (e.d : ViewController)
    5. Copy these jar files below to D:\..\ViewController\public_html\WEB-INF\lib
    (I got the files from Crystal Installation)
    04/03/2006 09:27 AM 666,774 CrystalCharting.jar

    6. Right click the project, project properties, Libraries, Add Jar / Directories,
    Add all the jar files from previous step.
    7. Copy CRConfig.XML to folder D:\..\ViewController (project folder)
    ( this CRConfig.XML is the one that I have not modified, the original one. )
    Please check, you must have this on the file :
    <reportlocation>.</reportlocation>
    8. Then create a Folder e.g : reports under WEB-INF :
    D:\..\ViewController\public_html\WEB-INF\reports, then copy all reports created on step 3 on to this folder.
    9. create a jsp to call the report, here is sample of my JSP :
    <%@ page

    Hi,
    Create a table layout region and under that use 'messageStyledText' for displaying the prompt and use 'messageTextInput' for text field without giving any prompt to that.

    Never mind. I see. Siri simply has it's own volume and you can adjust it while in Siri itself. It was set low by default.
