Have not been able to update to iPhone softwareversion 5.1. I keep getting the message that the network connection could not be established even though I have been buying apps from iTunes all evening.

I have been trying to update my iPhone4s' software from version 5.0.1 to version 5.1. I continue to get a message from iTunes that a network connection could not be established. I was buying apps for my phone on my computer so I know that my connection is good. I clicked on Help in iTunes and had it to run a network diagnostic and all was good. Are the servers just jammed up with so many people trying to update to the newest software version? Thank you in advance for your time!

look around the forum tons of people repport that they can't update
makes you suspect that apples update servers can't meet the depand of too many users
trying to update at once

I just encountered the same problem on my 2 month old MBPro. I found a work around by changing USB ports. As for the actual cause or the reason why that worked, I dont know. The USB port I was using works fine with my phone or other USB devices.

It could be a problem at the other end, try again tomorrow. Also , try resetting your iPad by holding down the home and sleep/wake button till the Apple logo appears and then let it wake up, maybe that may help.

Which particular .msi file does the message go on to say can't be found? (Several different .msi files can be mentioned in this context: itunes.msi, bonjour.msi, AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi, etc.)

I just upgraded to the iphone 5S and I can no longer sync to the AUTHORIZED computer. I keep getting a message that the computer is not authorized. So I click authorize, put my password in and get the message that this computer is now authorized.

After verifying that the computer is authorize, I hit sync and after a few minutes it I get the message that the iphone cannot be synced because the computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iphone. Why????

I keep getting a warning stating that the document could not be auto saved in pages. The file has been changed by another application. Then it says click save any way to keep your changes and save the changes made by the other application as a version, or click revert to keep the changes from the other application and save your changes to a version.
What in the heck does all that mean, and why are they trying to behave like a Windows product or a Microsoft office product. I just don't get it.
Why is another application changing my documents? It's like they've created a virus within their own programs. It's a pain in the neck and makes no sense.

I am also having the issue of a warning saying "could not be auto-saved in Pages. The file has been changed in another application. I then hit "save anyway", the warning will go away for a time, sometimes minutes, sometimes hourr, but then the warming reapprears saying the same thing. This is not the case with all Pages documents but it is the case with many.

What did iTunes Support say when you contacted them ? If it's been more than 48 hours since you contacted them and you haven't had a reply then contact them again.
If you haven't yet contacted them, then to do so :

- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
