Have system wait until GUI is completed

I wrote a program to monitor a seniority list. If an odd last name, first name, etc is encountered, a gui opens to request the proper form of the name. The problem is that the program keeps running even though the gui has not yet been fililed out. How do I stop execution until the GUI is completed?
Thanks

    You can still deauthorize an individual computer from the iTunes Menus.
    You can de-authorize only once a year 'all' computers from your iTunes account page.

  • I am trying to authorise my new macbook air and it won't let me. I try to de-authorise all the other computers and it says I can only do this once a year and have to wait until the 7th Feb. It does not give me an option to authorise this computer

    Always remember to 'de-authorize' you computer when selling or sending for service. If sending for repairs you might not get the same mother board or HD back and some how this counts as an authorized computer against your count.

  • Ipod freezing in the middle of songs, have to wait until the battery dies.

    Help me, my ipod freezes in the middle of songs and i have to wait until the battery goes out until i can do anything with it. And the harddrive has started to click and it sounds like a fan that starts spinning after two clicks. What should i do ?
    Pc   Windows XP   Ipod 5th generation

    you know what its funny because my ipod just did this last weekend. its been freezing on and off for the last couple of months. I have had it for a year and a half. It would freeze and i would try and do the whole thing where you hold down menu and select and that worked for awhile, but then suddenly last weekend it froze and it started making a weird clicking sound too. i got ****** and just left it at home for the weekend. when i got back home the battery was dead of course and i just plugged it into the charger and it turned on again. im guessing that sometimes you just have to leave it alone. when it made that clicking noise, it wouldnt do anything. you just have to let the battery die and then recharge it.

    Or better yet... try a search, I'm certain you'll find a solution to whatever issue you're experiencing.
    I have found that many times it is the things that make you most angry that push you to action. This was the case here. Thank you for causing me to get so angry that I found the answer myself.

  • I have to wait until a movie is fully downloaded until I watch it.

    I have to wait until a rented movie is fully downloaded until I watch it.  Yet my neighbour (bought ATV a year ago) can download and watch a rental after 5 minutes.  Is this a setting that I must change?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    You don't need to wait until it's fully downloaded (unless you rented it from your computer). The Apple TV calculates when enough of the media is downloaded to play it without having to stop to wait for more to download, different internet speeds mean that the time getting to this point is different for everyone.
    You probably have a slower internet connection than your neighbour.
    The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
    HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.

    using AOL emails, Firefox goes into a '''"Not Responding" mode.
    I have to wait until it times out. Happens every time I log on.
    I am using windows 7, HP lap top. I am using MSE for virus detector. This may have started sense I switched to MSE.
    I am not sure.

    A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
    Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

    Hello
    Welcome to the EE Community! If your SIM card hasn't arrived and it's been longer than three working days since you placed your order, you can send EE an email to [email protected] with your name, address and date of order. Hope this helps!Titanium Was my post helpful? • Java.lang.Process input stream waiting until process is complete to print

    I have tried to simplify this problem as much as possible. Basically, I have a java.lang.Process which executes a simple C program.
    test.c
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include <unistd.h>
    int main()
      printf("foo\n");
      sleep(2);
      printf("bar\n");
    ...The process has an input stream and error stream handler each on a separate thread. I have tried both buffered and unbuffered (BufferedReader, BufferedInputStream, InputStreamReader...) stream handlers. Both produce the same problem of waiting until the process has exited to receive anything from the process's streams.
    The only time this does not happen is when I call fflush(stdout); after each printf(). This can't be a solution because the real application calls a massive C application which would require thousands of fflush()'s to be added. What is causing this to happen? This doesn't happen when the C program is executed from the shell. Is there a way the InputStream can be forced to extract from the stream?

    hi.....
    I have closed the output stream of the process as you told me to do...
    The hitch is that, if my program contains only printf() statements,it works fine
    as soon as scanf() statement is encountered within the C code,it is totally neglected,and the output comes as if no scanf() statement existed in the C code.
    Consequently the thread doesnt wait for input which was bound for scanf() from the thread
    the code...
        public void run()
         try
             PrintWriter out = new PrintWriter(socket.getOutputStream(),true);
             BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(
                            new InputStreamReader(
                            socket.getInputStream()));

  • I'm 17, can I use apple finance to purchase a MacBook or do I have to wait until I turn 18?

    I'm at college, and really need a laptop ASAP as our computer has just completely crashed and I really need it for college work. I'm 18 in 2 months and would wait until then but I have alot of coursework to do before then and a laptop would make life so much easier. I have a part-time job and earn enough to pay back the money each month, but I'm not sure if I can use it being under 18? I've looked all over the site but can't find anything on minimum age.

    You'll have to wait till your 18. You will have to sign a contract. In the United States people under the age of 18 can not sign a contract. And if you do sign a contract, the contract can not be enforced. Have your parents sign for you.

  • For all the folks who have to wait until Oct. 7

    Yes, i am one of those guys who have to wait for my upgrade on October 7
    How long do you think we are gonna have to wait to get the new iphone? its not looking very good for us, i've heard is gonna be something like 2-3 weeks, even a moth! what do you think?

    Do you mean how long after you are eligible to order on the 7th? Or do you mean will you have to actually wait until then or will VZW be nice and let you order/purchase sooner? Like mentioned, it depends. If your local store(s) aren't sold out you may be able to just walk right in and purchase. There are a lot of people that aren't opting to pay full retail and so they'll take the loss of unlimited data and purchase on the 7th...which would mean a whole new "rush" of sorts that could cause delays. As far as how long will it take for you to receive it after you are able to order....depends on demand regardless of when you order. In general though, most people that preorder spend days stressing over the lack of tracking info...yet usually receive their device on or a day or so before the official release date. After that....it's hard to say. Just expect poor to slow communication as far as tracking info, shipping, etc....the last 2 iPhone releases seemed to be exactly the same on that issue.

  • How to have DDL "wait" until the lock is free in 10g

    I saw this for 11g: http://www.scribd.com/doc/247954/Oracle-11g-DDL-Wait-Option-feature
    Moving to 11g is not an option. I have code that does partition maintenance (adds a new partition and drops an old one) at night. However, sql loader may be running and the table may be locked. This happened already. Is there anyway to get my code to wait until the lock is released?

    The is no DDL option on the partition operations that I know of to tell the DDL to wait if it cannot get a lock. You will have to implement a procedural fix such as updating a row with a value to indicate the sqlldr job is running or if the sqlldr task is controled via a external table take a user lock then execute the partition operations via stored code that checks the user lock first.
