Having issues with iTunes.

Well, I'm having issues uploading existing music from my iPhone 4s to my iTunes library. Once I hit sync, it tells me I have to erase and then sync. I don't understand and I've been trying everything to get around it.
Side note-my mac did crash and had to take it in and they backed it up for me, so when I got my mac back it was like brand new. I don't know if this makes a difference. Thanks to anyone who can help me.

Since they replaced your hard drive, your phone thinks that it's connecting to a new computer. You said you have everything backed up, I would copy and paste the backed up iTunes folder (in the Music folder) into the Music folder. Open iTunes and it should be fine. The iTunes Library.xml file (a file in the iTunes folder) is different, which is what's causing your phone to think it's syncing to a new computer.

  • Having issues with iTunes 11.1.5 on Windows 8.1

Ever since I've refreshed my windows computer two weeks ago. I am having issues with iTunes 11.1.5. For some reason I can access the iTunes Store, but most of the time when I do something internet related on iTunes, the app is either stuck on checking for downloads or when trying to sign in. I am trying to update all my apps but only a couple out of 30 actually start downloading but they keep getting stuck at "processing file". I have used another computer with Windows 8.1 with the same version of iTunes and its downloading app updates fine.

it works at first then after trying to update a few apps (the third one this time) iTunes again stops working and gives me the 8008 error.
Okay ... let's try seeing if that one is the root cause of the errors.
Try the "Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023" section in the Specific Conditions and Alert Messages: (Mac OS X / Windows) section of the following document:
    iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting
Does that calm down the 8008s?

  • Having Issues with iTunes 10.5.3 and uninstalled. Cannot reinstall without upgrading to newest Snow Leopard? Using MacBook Pro running 10.5.8.

Running OS X Leopard 10.5.8 and was having issues with my version of iTunes 10.5.3 (freezing and getting rainbow spinny wheel, not allowing me to do anything, while importing music from a different folder into the iTunes). Anyway, so I uninstalled iTunes and went to download the newest version (10.7 i believe) and after downloading and attempting to install, i was alerted that I cannot install and run this application without having the newest version of OS X 10.6 i believe. So, what I'm ultimately trying to figure out is if I need to spend $130(that i do not have) on Amazon to get the Snow Leopard 10.6.3 then pay another $20 in the App Store to upgrade to Mountain Lion as well? I need to have iTunes on this laptop due to having an iPhone 4 that needs to be able to be synced on this computer. Bottom Line is, I don't have really have $150 to upgrade all this at the current moment just to get iTunes back on my system. Any suggestions or am I basically having to drop the $150 just to get iTunes back so I can sync my iPhone 4 again? Ugh, this *****, really wish i hadn't uninstalled that version of iTunes..HELP!!! thanks in advance..

  • Having issues with itunes not syncing correctly

ive been running into issues of itunes not wanting to sync my movies. When i try to sync movies, all of my music i imported from cds or files that were not purchased off of itunes gets deleted off of my phone.Im running itunes 12,and ios 8 on my 5s.Been happening alot recently and its frustrating!!!!! Ive tried managing my music and movies and that doesnt help out at all.Im having to download movies from icloud from my phone which at times is hard due to the lack of reliable wifi.Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated

as rediculous as this is, I enabled "all mail" under the labels, then went into the actual apple mail settings and checked some box about updateing immediately (for deleted items) . then I had to quit mail then open it back up  - it "appears" to have synced properly. I'll let you know if it all comes back, but this is really a pain in the butt, I swapped from Entourage a few months back because it started acting weird with gmail.
anyone have any other mail options if this continues to not work? I don't want to have to pull gmail in my browser to move read items each day.
    thanks for all the help.

  • Having issues with iTunes syncing to iPhone 5...

Both are up to date, iPhone has 7.0.4 and iTunes 11.1.3. Not all of my songs will sync onto my phone, only 63 out of about 500. Anyone else having this issue? Or solved it? Ahhhhh so frustrating!!! I've tried
    -Turning off my find iPhone
-Selecting playlists instead of syncing all songs, all songs on playlist still don't show up
    -Restarting phone
    -Restarting my Mac
-And doing these in about every order you can think of for the past 3 hours
    Help!

So I had the same problem with what you are having except I have an Iphone 4S but heres what i did to resolve.
    1) Check the box for manually manage your music
    2) Uncheck all songs you want.
    3) Sync
    4) Check all songs you want, after the 1st sync
    5) Sync again but this time with all the music you want checked
    6) Now your inforamtion bar for the GB reading will be weird, dont worry about it. After the sync check all songs on your phone. All should be playable.
    Hope it helps!

  • Having issues with iTunes update 10.6.3 and new MacBook.

I have a brand new MacBook (also my first Mac) and I am having problems when I connect both my iPhone & iPad.
iTunes tells me I have to install the lastest version, 10.6.3.  When I try to download either it looks like it has but nothing has actually updated, it tells me I need to update my software, or some times it just doesn't respond.
When I try to update my software the installer gets to a point and says inorder for the installation to finish I have to close iTunes, but it's not open.  So I'm totally confused and stuck.
    Help!

If you've moved or renamed iTunes, put it back. If not, open iTunes from the Applications folder and not the Dock.

  • Having issues with iTunes sync to iPod (5th gen)

Ok this is something that is getting rather annoying.
Every once in a while. When sync anything to my iPod from iTunes. Sometimes iTunes will hang up. Then sync icon on my iPod does show up and spinning.
However nothing gets sync to the iPod. I then have to close out iTunes. Then restart iTunes. And everything seems to work for a while.
I to have the current version of iTunes (11.0.4.4.)
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I do have the 64-bit version of iTunes installed.
I have tried to restart my iPod several times. I don't think that this should have to be done all the time one of the other is not sync. Besides. It don't resolve the issue.
The iPod has a fully charged battery.
I have tried different USB ports. Same issue still exists.
I tired to restart my computer when the issues happens. Again it still happens.
I have completely uninstall iTunes and then reinstall iTunes back. Nothing has changed.
I have shut down all 3rd party software. Sync issues still happen.
I have tied on different computers I have in the house. The issues does happen. Not as often.
So there it is. I hope someone can shed some light on this issue.

  • Having issues with putting purchased music back into iTunes after reinstall

I have been having issues with iTunes closing itself out right after I open it. I deleted the program, then re-installed it, which fixed the problems with quitting. However, I cannot copy my previous library back into iTunes. I saved the iTunes music file and the .xml file to my desktop before uninstalling the program. When I tried to add the music back into iTunes, I keep getting this message: Attempting to copy the disk "Macintosh HD" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to. It does not appear on all songs that I tried to add back, but it happened for quite a few of my purchased songs. Is there any way to fix the files or do I need to download the songs again? I tried running the Disk Utility to repair Permissions, but that has not helped with anything.
I am running iTunes on a MacBook with Mac OS X 10. 4. 11, if that will help with anything.

I had to reinstall Windows XP, erasing everything on the hard disk. I had saved the music files with backup software, so I now have them back. But iTunes won't add them to my library. I tried importing songs from a new CD to see where iTunes put those files, and then copying an album folder into the same location. But Windows wouldn't copy the files inside the foder. Nearly all the songs were originally taken from CDs in my collection, and the songs are still on my iPod Nano.
    Wow,
Wonder why XP won't let you copy files?, perhaps you used a different user name?
Or these are the old DRM versions of the songs? You should be able to log into your iTunes account and authorize the computer and iTunes should recognize the songs.
Well since you have the iPod Nano, you can head over to iLounge and ask them what current third party software works to move your iPod Nano music back to iTunes.
Hope that works out for you
