I am wanting to add contacts to my ipod classic 160gb, the intunes help says to click on the "info" button on my device, but there doesn't seem to be an "info" button there. I have tried restoring my ipod as well, twice now. But doesn't work. Any ideas?
'Info' is along the top of the iTunes window when you have the iPod attached and selected.
When info is selected you will find the option you want.

I have a ipod classic 160GB and it's not showing any music anymore, but there is still showing 7GB of memory being used, and I don't have it backed up on my itunes, since I had to put a new hard drive on my computer. Any suggestion to find out whats on that memory or to get it the music back, there is approximately over 1400 songs on it?
What is the memory being used by, is it Other? If it is, that means the iPod can no longer read the music, so it has put it all in "Other".
The usual fix for this is to allow the iPod to Sync with its iTunes Library. If that doesn't work, the next option is to Restore the iPod using the Restore command in iTunes, on the Device/Summary pane.
Unless you are very (very) lucky, I suspect that you are going to have to Restore your iPod. Restoring will remove everything form the iPod and put back onto it only what it finds in your iTunes Library, which you say is currently empty.
If you have to rebuild your Library after this issue, by adding all the music back again, this is going to be hard to hear, but for the future, you may want to consider always having a backup of your library. The easiset way to back the Library up is;
if the Library is small enough, burn it to a DVD, as digital files, not a "music CD".
If your Library is too large for a DVD, buy yourself an external hard drive and copy the Library onto the drive. Remember to update the backup every so often. -
I downloaded OS X Lion on my iMac and I'm having problems with my computer waking up after hibernating. I can get to the login screen but my mouse will be frozen. The only fix's is a hard reboot. Any help would be great!
Try resetting the SMC and the PRAM.

5. Keep them held down until you’ve heard the start-up chime twice. After you release them you should hear it again, and hopefully your Mac will boot up as it should normally. -
so after just getting this phone ..literally 2 days i decide to update it .. to IOS 8.3... after updating i realize it doesn't have service and won't get service .......i try to download the firmware yet it says my device isn't eligible (i have the latest iTunes)... i also have tried to go to the host folder to delete the gs apple code but it isn't there to delete ... i really need my phone ... can you please help me...

purchased new songs from itunes and when I clicked on the Sync button those new songs are not added to my ipod nano. Have any idea how to resolve this problem?

Some songs in my Ipod classic get get off after a few seconds of playing, but they work fine in ITunes and other Ipods. I have reset the classic several times and same issue happens, any ideas?
I have that exact same problem! It plays albums fine. But individual songs including ones downloaded from iTunes either skip or play the music of another totally different song. All play fine on iTunes and my iPhone... Got this one to replace my dying 5th gen classic.

Why is 50GB of music gone? All music should exist on the computer. Only a fool would rely on a single device which could easily be lost or stolen to store their content on. -
my ipod classic will sync with my itunes and it shows me all the songs have been downloaded. however when i disconnect it i only have 50 songs present on my ipod. in the settings it still tells me 15 GB is being used up. i have dowloaded nothing onto it but music. i cant find the rest of my songs on it. what do i do?

iPod won't Sync to computer, says 74gb out of 80gb are used -but there's nothing on ipod. How do I restore? Is anyone else familiar with this problem? It had over 25 movies, thousands of songs & hundreds of pictures, and it seems like they're still on there, because 74gb are used out of the 80 but when I turn the ipod on it appears to be at factory, fresh out of the box settings and my computer wont recognise it at all...
For the following suggestion, when you connect the iPod to the PC, and iTunes open up, please close it, before you fix the drive.
Your iPod hardisk filesystem is corrupted, and maybe repaired by using command line, under DOS window.
chkdsk drive: /F
where drive: is the iPod ID D: or E:
You can also try clicking the IPod properties, and run error checking in GUI, tick "fix all error."
If you have access to a Mac, you can use DiskUtility, and run FirstAid to repair the iPod.

BTW, this problem arise because, iPod did not complete, closing, the Sync process, due to timeout, for Windows systems, I think it is maybe caused by Antivirus, or some other plugins, trying to make windows 7 look like Mac OS X. -

Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. It will recognize the iTunes library on the Mac as a new library. If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library. So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your Mac first.

Do a Hard Reset
After charging till full charge, at least 2 hours (preferably 4 hours)
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs or till the Apple Logo comes ON
Then release the buttons
Select your preferred language.

If the sound is still the same, but ok, coming from the bottom Dock connector, then try cleaning the headport, using a jet of air or some electronic cleaner. -

I am having problems transfering contacts to my I pod when syncing the message comes back with contacts in use by I pod please close and try again, please could you let me know how to close contacts on the pod or is there a setting that is wrong etc, i have restored the device. if i go to contact via settings the screen comes on for about 2 seconds and then goes off - Help
Single click on the Home button. Then double click on the Home button. In the recently used row, touch and hold the Contact app till they start to wiggle and then tap the minus sing by the contacts app.
Also make sure the Contact program on your computer is closed. -
used wrong charger with ipod classic, now it wont turn on, displays the low battery icon even though its connected to the wright adapter.

please?WHow long have you left it to charge? Have you tried resetting it after a short period of time to see if that can help jumpstart the charging process? To do this, press and hold both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
