Having serious problems with DPS

So I posted earlier and had few reponses, but the problem has now escalated into something even more frustrating and problematic.
Before, I was having issues where updated articles would not show us updated in the slide out and drop down contents. This is still a problem. I have done everything to try and correct this from deleting and reuploading the article, to archive/redownload, and the only thing that has worked is starting a new folio which I think is rediculous. I have a 300mb file with over 40 articles, to have to make another folio would be absurd....anyone know how to fix this?
NOW however, I'm having further problems with formatting and effects. For example, when I preview my folio on the iPad, I have two articles which have outer glows, even though they are not present in the actual document. I have deleted and reuped the document and article and.same as above and nothing. Even after archiving and redownloading the folio (300 mb folio which again is becoming rediculous) the portrait version got rid of the outer glow, but the landscape version still has an outer glow.
Anyone know why this would be happening and how to fix it? I haven't had a problem until yesterday. I have done everything including reset my iPad and it has not helped.

Have you verified that you've updated the article in Folio Builder Panel? Make sure to save the portrait and landscape versions of your InDesign document and then select the article in FBP and say update. Also, check and make sure you aren't accidentally looking at a folio that's been fully published (no blue stripe in the library). If you're looking at a published folio you also have to remember to go to Folio Producer and click update so the updates are pushed to the production servers.

  • HT6154 Having SERIOUS problems with iOS 7.1 on my iPhone 4S!!!!

    I am having SERIOUS problems here. Let me give you a rundown:
    I have to reboot my phone (or turn it off and on again) to see the correct battery percentage (but I'll address that in a second), and once I reboot it or bring it back up again, it has to restart itself (in the middle of use) about 3 or 4 times before it stays on consistantly; all the while reading the percentage of battery it remembers from the last reboot. Now, about the battery percentage: I restarted it before I charged it last night and it read 16% -mind you, after it had to shut itself down and restart 3 times. I put it on the charger all night, and it still read 16%...but I decided to run a battery cycle (charge it all the way up, and drain it all the way down) to see if that would help. Sad to say, it did not help; infact it made things worse. It now flip-flops in between the Apple boot-up symbol and a black screen when plugged up to a charger or a computer. The computer cannot read the phone being plugged in so I cannot do a manual restore from iTunes.
    Best yet, I upgraded to 7.1, and had the SAME EXACT PROBLEMS I AM HAVING NOW. I did a complete restore of my phone, and even set it up as a brand new iPhone, not even a restore from the last iCloud backup, and just loaded all my content from my Mac...and the problems decided to follow -even after the fresh restore.
    I'm toying with the idea that it may be a hardware problem, but I would love to know if anyone is experiencing the same issue.
    I have no idea what to do... please help.
    I use my phone for business constantly, and almost cannot do my job without it.

    ok well seeing that your are having major issues with the battery and the loading screen it is a hardware issue. reseting it wont help that at all. what you need to do is take it to apple and let them look at it. They can tell you what is wrong with it and how much it would be to fix it ( if it is possible your situation is really bad) but if its not they might give you a discount if you give the iphone to them.

  • I'm having serious problems with Lightroom plug in for Facebook not working on my iMac. Help!

    It started about a month ago with LR4. I kept getting problems with not being able to publish to Facebook because of problems with the plug-in which had been working perfectly up to then. I had a run round that worked by disableing and reloading the plug in. I upgraded to LR5 but the problem persisted and in fact just became worse. I can no longer publish to facebook from LR. I deleted the LR app in facebook as someone advised but now I cannot re-authorise with Facebook. When I go to the "connect" buton nothing happens. This is a serious problem that may make me reluctantly abandon Lightroom if I cannot find a solution. Can anybody help?

    According to the Lightroom Facebook page, Facebook broke it and Facebook has to fix it- there is no ETA.

  • I have just changed my iCloud account and am now having serious problems with Calendar on my Macbook Pro. Any ideas?

    I decided to start using iCloud etc but discovered that my Apple ID doesn't actually exist (I was literally told this over the phone my an Apple Support worker) which is weird, as my email address for this Apple ID still exists. This is the first time I'd had any problems of this sort as I'd never had to use my Apple ID before. So anyway, I signed out of iCloud (i.e. signed out of my non-existant account) and signed in with my other, working, iCloud account which I've had absolutely no problems with whatsoever. All well and good.
    Before signing out of/deleting my old iCloud account I moved all my events in Calendar from "iCloud" to "On My Mac" so that I wouldn't lose the information when switching to my new account. No problems with this. However now that I am signed in on my new account, every time I open Calendar I receive the following two error messages:
    "Couldn't move your calendars to iCloud because an error occurred.
    Make sure you're connected to the Internet, and then try again."
    "The server responded with an error.
    Access to account "iCloud" is not permitted.
    The server responded:
    "403"
    to operation
    CalDAVMigrateToServerQueueableOperation."
    Note that with regards to the first one I am definitely connected to the internet. I have tried restarting my Macbook, have tried enabling/disabling Calendar in iCloud, nothing has worked. I always get these error messages. I have two options, "Try Again Now" or "Try Again Later", for the first message and "Try Again" or "OK" for the second. Pressing anything just results in the error messages just coming up again in a cyclic manner, after briefly trying to "Move calendars to server account". Sometimes a pop up also appears where it says "Upgrading calendars" with a progress bar but this freezes/never goes anywhere, and regardless of the outcome, I cannot access my information in Calendar. Note that behind these error messages etc I can see my events in Calendar but I cannot access the detailed information contained within them nor can I add any new information or essentially do anything in Calender. Sometimes Calendar crashes and I get a crash report.
    Sorry for this dense block of information but I have no idea what's going on so I'm just trying to give a clear account of the problems I'm facing. I really hope someone will be able to help me with this and I thank you in advance.

    Don't worry I've sorted it! I just had to turn off Reminders as well in iCloud. Calendar then worked fine, even when I turned Calendar and Reminders back on.

    for the last couple of weeks my ipod has been freezing regularly, this wasnt so bad but now i go to try and charge my ipod but it is just getting past the apple symbol then coming up to an image of an ipod saying www.apple.com/support and i havent a clue what i am supposed to be doing. ive only had the ipod since may and im having quite a few problems any ideas? i would be thankful for any help...thanks

  • Having serious problems with Google Adsense and iWeb

    Ok, I'm totally ignorant when it comes to web work. I can direct friggin' movies but this web stuff, forget it.
    However, I am playing around with a video podcast and would like to try and do the website myself. But I can't seem to have any luck setting up Google's adsense on the site. I've followed the steps in the following link...

    One thing, since I'm no longer using my .mac account to host (can't use ads on there?) I am hosting the site through powweb. I don't know if that has anything to do with why it's acting like this.

    There are several problems. The code is showing, and also the positioning is off.
    To exactly position where you want the ad to go, you need to position the text box of the exact same dimensions as the completed ad (or slightly larger to be on the safe side) exactly where you want it on the page.
    Then type some text in the box. When you've published, you need to replace the text you've typed with the code. You obviously managed it once with the centre strip of google ads, but the top and bottom ones, it seems you've just pasted the code into the iWeb page. You can't just paste code into an iWeb page, only after publishing.
    Another reason for the code showing is that you've not replaced the text properly and missed out some tags, so when the browser comes to render the page, it's treating it like text.

    My daughter has an iphone 5 with ios 7.02. Ever since she updated to ios7 she has not been able to update her apps. When she tries they grey out and are stuck on waiting. We have tried everything and I think I have read every post on the subject. I decided to work on it again today and I have deleted as many of the apps as I can, there are still some that are completely grey that don't show in any list and won't delete off the phone.
    I cannot update to ios 7.03 because it does not show that as an update. Now when you look at the app store icon it has a little #28 on it but when I go into the App Store app to see the updates it only shows 4 because I have deleted all the other apps.
    Things to know.
    This phone has only ever been in icloud.
    Never connected to the computer.
    I have tried every version of signing out of itunes, deleting apps, resetting network settings, reset by holding on/off and home button that I can read about. I'm at a loss.
    These are my main questions/concerns-
    Why won't the deleted apps come off the screen?
    Why does the App store icon show 28 but when go into the App store app it only has 4 updates?
    Why is there no ios 7.03 to update to?
    Why can't we update the 4 apps that need to be updated? (she can't use them at all)
    Even the apps that have been deleted and show to be in the cloud can't be downloaded-why not?
    I would really appreciate any help. It's been such a problem...I really don't want her to lose everything if possible. She is a 13 year old girl and would love to keep all her data etc.

    If this is only happening occasionally with incoming calls, I would check the signal strength where it occurs and also check with the carrier to have them check your account. Phone calls are a carrier responsibility, and since it seems to be a infrequent issue, I would look at the carrier first.

    just last week it was working fine then within a span of 2 hrs the wifi just wouldnt connnect any more. no matter what i did in reseting the the ipod or setting it wouldnt work. then it battery life just started to go only watched 20 min of a movie and the batter died. and yesterday i lastened to 8 hrs of music then it died. and now today only was able to listen to 1 hr of music then it died. all were charged over night. need help please!!!

    WiFi problems, especially if you have lost the WiFi symbol from the top left of the screen, can usually be fixed by resetting network settings - Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    For your other problems, I think a complete restore might be in order. I would at least try it and see what happens.

  • Serious problems with my Shuffle (1GB)...

    Alright I am having serious problems with my Shuffle that have been going on for some time.
    1) Whenever I plug my Shuffle into the computer the green light stays on constantly and my computer doesn't detect it.
    2) My PC 50% of the time crashes about 10 seconds after my Shuffle is plugged in.
    3) Whenever I get my computer to detect my Shuffle it automatically disconnects and reconnects itself very quicky (every 30 seconds or so).
    4) Whenever I try to update the drivers on it it displays an error message on my PC saying "Disk Write Error" in the update window.
    Any suggestions?

  • My Client is having a serious problem with the Contact Form Widget

    My Client is having a serious problem with the Contact Form Widget that I can not figure out how to correct.
    I created a website for a client and inserted a Contact Form widget on their 'Contact Us' page. Whenever anyone uses the form, the e-mail my client receive shows my e-mail address as the sender. So, when they 'reply' to the e-mail, the reply is sent to me and not the person who sent the original message. This creates a major problem in that I get barraged with e-mail replies while my client's potential customers go without a response.
    When I look at  'Site Manager > System E-Mails > Workflow Information > E-mail From Address' on the site's Admin Console, it shows my e-mail information. Is this is what needs to be changed?  If it is, what needs to be placed in that field so that the e-mail my client receives shows the senders e-mail information in the 'From' field.  My client wants to be able to click reply and have the message sent to the right party. They would be very upset if they have to cut and past the senders e-mail address from the body text on every contact they receive.
    Their feeling is that if I can't find a way to make the contact form work the way it should, then it's useless to them.
    Can anyone help me figure this out? I really don't want to disappoint my first client.

    Are you on a plan that has the CRM feature that stores your customers' data? If so, the idea of the contact form is that you'll receive a notification that there's been an inquiry filled out on your contact form and there should be a link in that email notification that leads to the "Case" that was created when that customer filled out a contact form.  You can click that link and visit the case for that customer in your BC site and reply to them from there so that all of the correspondence is logged in the CRM for safe-keeping and for your records.
    If your client finds this is too much work to login to BC to reply every time, then you should check to see if you have the "Customer Service Ticketing" feature on your hosting plan.  This is a feature where you create a dedicated email account (like [email protected]) and the BC system will automatically login to that email account and pull any emails in that inbox and convert them to a customer case for the sender of the email and then it will send out a notification via email to any of the BC Admin users you delegate as "Customer Service Agents".  Since the CST integrates with the BC CRM it lets you reply directly within the email-- but when you reply it will be going to that same email address dedicated to the CST but once the CST service checks your email again and sees that you replied to this inquiry it will log your reply against the customer's case and sends your reply via email back to them so that all the correspondance gets logged on BC's CRM but you can still reply via email.
    There's no way to use the default web forms to update the "From" or "Reply-To" address.. it must come from an approved email address to avoid spam issues.  On most web services you cannot change the "from" address anyway but usually you can at least specify the "Reply-To" address so that when someone hits "reply" in their email client it will reply to whoever you setup as the "Reply-To" address.

    I don't think the CST feature is in the webMarketing BC plan-- I think it's only in the webCommerce plan so if you have less than an webCommerce plan you have to tell your client to reply through BC by clicking the link in the notification they get.  You can justify it by saying its one or two more steps but it keeps the entire convo on record in their CRM for easy referral later.

  • Serious problem with my iPod Classic/iTunes

    I have a 6th Generation iPod classic (80 GB), and recently, I have been having some serious problems with it.
    When I connect it to iTunes, there is usually no problem, it shows up, plays and displays the music correctly, etc. However, if I try to ADD any music to it, iTunes will freeze, then close, and within 5 minutes, my entire computer will freeze completely, and be shut off. For whatever reason, happen when my iPod finally disconnects because my computer turned off, all of my music is missing from the library (This doesn't happen every time it freezes, because I try to disconnect my iPod manually before everything freezes). The music is still on the iPod, (it says that I have XX.X GB of "other" instead of music/videos), but it doesn't show up. When I plug in my iPod, iTunes says that there was a problem and I need to restore it. The first time this happened, I lost over 5,800 songs, but I forgave Apple, because these things do occasionally happen, plus I had no idea what exactly went on. The SECOND time happened within the same week, after I had put 800 songs back on the restored iPod. The first time happened when I was using iTunes 10 (which is seriously buggy on my computer, and freezes often), so I switched to iTunes 9 (still buggy, but doesn't freeze quite as much), and the same thing happened. So now I'm thinking it's my iPod's fault. My iPod does a whole host of minor problems over time such as making certain songs cut off at a certain specific point for no reason (Always the same song, always the same cut off point, and I can't fast forward past it, I also can't delete the songs because if I highlight them on iTunes, iTunes will freeze, and if I find them under the music folder in iPod control, my computer will freeze), freezing the entire iPod for seemingly no reason, and somehow messing up my album artwork (it will appear as "Colourful Static"), along with alot more.
    I know this is a troublesome problem, but if anyone could somehow shine some light on this problem, it would be tremendously appreciated.

    Unfortunately, when a hard drive starts clicking that means it's going bad. The mechanism is having trouble reading the drive. Since the iPod is mostly just a harddrive and a battery I have a feeling that this is your problem.

    about 25ss in is where the clicking starts. If it sounds like that, but softer and more muffled since it is a smaller drive that is being enclosed then I think you might be SOL. Maybe if you're iPod is still under warranty you can get a credit and go for a touch and avoid moving parts all together?

    No, I don't want to disable it. When I click No, PowerPoint stops working. I get a message that says: Microsoft PowerPoint has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, Widows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. My only choice is to click the Close program button.
    When I open the PPT file again, I get the same "experienced a serious problem" message. If anyone has a solution to this, I'd appreciate knowing what it is. It took me a while just to get the Presenter option to appear in the PowerPoint toolbar. Now that I have it, it's not working.

    Thank you for your quick reply. Here are the answers to your questions.
    1. The file I'm having issues with was not created using any version of Presenter. It is simply a PowerPoint file.
    2. The file is a PPT not PPTX.
    3. I am running Windows7 and Office 2010.
    I think I might have found the solution to the problem. I opened the PPT file and saved it as a PPTX file. Then I clicked the Presenter option in the PowerPoint toolbar and was able to select different Presenter options with no issues. I opened other PPTX files and I did not get the error window stating 'PowerPoint experienced a serious problem with the 'adobe presenter powerpoint com addin' add-in'.
    This seems to work. So, it appears that any PPT file needs to be saved as a PPTX file before using Presenter. If you have another solution that I might be able to keep in my back pocket (in case this happens again and what I did does not work), then please answer. Otherwise, I'm good now.

    There are many people having the same problem (according to the ROCKSTAR forum), so I think the problem is from the GTA V and the NV Graphics Driver.
    There are users sharing the temporary fix:

    I'm having a serious problem with j2ee Classloading.
    I have "inherited" a J2EE application where all business classes (invoked by the EJB) are placed in the Application's Server classpath (Weblogic 8.1.4).
    Very bad because every time a class is changed the a.s. must be restarted.
    So I re-enginereed the package putting the business classes in a jar that is referenced by the EJB's MANIFEST file.
    This way all the classes would be loaded by the EJB classloader and no need to start/stop weblogic.
    Unfortunately it's not such !! I discovered that all business classes are loaded via REFLECTION

    Reflection uses the classloader as well so it should work fine.
    A common cause of a NoClassDefFoundError is something in a parent classloader that refers to something only available in a child loader.
    For instance, do you have any of your application classes which are in the $CLASSPATH but reference something that is only (now) in the business.jar in your ear?
