HCM = FI: Posting an IDOC via Workflow

Hello,
I hope I'm right here in this part of the forum. In addition I hope my explanations will be good enough to understand.
Every month the HCM-System send IDOCs (payment of salary) to the FI-System. Everything works well (in partner profile (WE20) we used message types ACC_EMPLOYEE_EXP, ACC_EMPLOYEE_PAY, ACC_EMPLOYEE_REC, PDTCO_POSTPRIMARY und PLANDATATRANSFERCO_POSTKEYFIGU (all inbound parameters) and process code BAPI is attached). Every payment is automatically and fully posted in FI.
Latter the FI accounting clerks do not want. They do want to decide when the IDOCs are posted into the FI. What we've done so far ist that we've changed the process code BAPI at the above mentioned message types into ED00. ED00 uses the standard task TS30200088 for generating a workitem in the BWP of a or some users. That's exactly what we want, no instant posting but self-decided action through the clerk. The only problem is that the standard task only displays the IDOC as seen in BD87. The process then can be terminated via the menu and the status of the IDOC changes to 53, but no FI posting has been processed what's not very amazing 'cause the standard task only displays the IDOC. Now my questions:
1. Is there any process code which comes with an appropriate SAP-Standard-Workflow to fulfil the request of the FI users (keeping the IDOC in Workflow status until the user executes the workitem  which leads to posting of the IDOC)?
2. If not, do I have to create a new process code and do I have to create an own Workflow?
3. If all that would not help what else can I do?
In advance many thanks for your help.
Kind regards,
Frank

Hi,
U have to use the lookup.
1) pass the customer no to R3 system as input to function module.
2) IN function module check whether that customer no present or not?
3) Based on that u send a result back to Xi and go ahead.

  • Sending IDocs via RFC Adapter

    Hello!
In an itegration scenario, we need to send (non XML) IDocs via RFC to a remote R/3 system (4.6C). As we don't want to get these IDocs persisted on the target system, it's intended to address the remote functions directly.
    Now the problem:
    - RFC Adapter only works with XML IDocs (so we cannot transfrom back to native IDoc)
    - IDoc-Adapter sends native IDocs, but only to IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS on target system (and the Idocs will be persisted)
In a next step, we also tried to implement a workaround with a local ABAP proxy on the XI system. But it seems, that it's not allowed to call a abap proxy locally on the integration engine.
Has anybody any idea to solve this problem? Maybe I'm thinking too complicated Help is highly appreciated!
    Cheers,
    Matthias

    Hi,
what kind of document you want to post?
most (many) IDOCs use BAPIs so you can
just call the BAPI (RFC) from XI
    >>>But it seems, that it's not allowed to call a abap proxy locally on the integration engine.
you can call it on another client on the XI
(which is set as application system in SXMB_ADM)

  • Problems with sending IDOC via RFC from Unicode to NonUnic

    Hello
I have following problem, sending an IDOC via RFC from Unicode to Non Unicode System. IDoc is not sent with error: codepage of receiver system cant determined. receiver destination was: Message no. B1999
I have tried different options in sm59, but it didnt help.
Any ideas? The recipient system is rather old, version 4.0

    hey,
I had a similar experience. I was interfacing between 4.6 (RFC), PI and ECC 6.0 (ABAP Proxy). When data was passed from ECC to 4.6, RFC received them incorrectly. So i had to send trimmed strings from ECC and receive them as strings in RFC (esp for CURR and QUAN fields). Also the receiver communication channel in PI (between PI and  RFC) had to be set as Non unicode. This helped a bit. But still I am getting 2 issues, truncation of values and some additional digits !! But the above changes resolved unwanted characters problem like "<" and "#". You can find a related post in my id. Hope this info helps..

  • HCM MSS Change in Working Time - Workflow

    Hi All,
Im New to HCM & WOrkflows too...
I need your help, it would be very helpful for me to prove my skills.
I have a requirement like, The requirement is to initiate  the Change in Working Time process from MSS( Manager Self-Service ) for a particular employee .
    Desc:
Manager can  initiate the Change in Working Time  process for his /her employees/reportees via MSS . The manager will use a web-based  interactive form (Adobe interactive form within HCM P&F framework) to fill in the details of the new changed work schedule of the Employee in question. Once this form is submitted by the Manager  ,  the corresponding workflow will be triggered which sends a work item to the HR Administrator ; the HR Administrator will update the backend SAP  accordingly. Once successfully updated an email notofication will be sent to the  Manager of the Employee (in normal cases the Manager at this stage is the Initiator of the process)
And how to do this workflow development(only workflow part), if u can please tell me the skeleton structure to achieve this.
i have seen WS61000074 - this is ESS Change in working time. Same thing i need to do in  MSS. Only thing is, in MSS Employee is not included.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Rani.

    Hi Bentow,
    Thanks for your reply.
And in my FS, there is no word like CATS.
Mine is compeltely a workflow part.
I just copying my FS workflow process part: Please Tell me some idea, if possible.
A custom workflow template needs to be developed for Change in Working Time (MSS) process.
Once the Manager submits the Change in Working Time form via MSS for any of the reporting Employees  the corresponding Workflow will be triggered.
The workflow will route the submitted form to the relevant HR Administrator (which can be fetched based on an Agent determination rule , if needed  or can be maintained in the workflow template).
The HR Administrator will  open the form and update the backend SAP system accordingly.
Once the HR Administrator successfully updates the system , he shall  process the form  and complete it.
Once the form is successfully completed by the HR Administrator , the workflow will send an Email notification to the Manager of the  concerned Employee. [In a normal scenario, the Manager will be the Initiator of the current Change in Working Time process]
The above workflow configuration needs to done as part of the usage of  HCM P&F framework.
The Workflow will be triggered when the Requestor(Manager) Submits the Change in Working Time
    form in MSS.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Rani,

  • Travel Request Approval Scenario via Workflow does not trigger

    Hi guys,
System Information: SAP ECC 6.0 EHP4 / Using WDA-Scenarios on Portal NW 7.01.
I'm having trouble understanding/implementing the approval scenario of the Travel Request via Workflow/UWL. POWL isn't usable for us as it isn't flexible enough to process the complex agent assignment rules for the respective approver our (momentarily..) requirements 'dictate' ...
    What I did so far:
I copied the Workflow Template 200000040 to a custom template (since I'll have to alter it) and activated the Event of Creation for BUS2089. Thus, in SWE2, the respective entry for BUS2089 for the event CREATED has been set by the system. All good so far. When I create a TRIP via PR05 (we are public sector), the event for BUS2089 gets fired in SAPMP56T and the Workflow gets triggered; works out well. However, when I post a travel request in Portal (FITE_REQUEST), the workflow is not getting triggered. I searched for information or similar questions on the forum but didn't find anything. Neither did I find a concrete clue in the View Containers FITE_VC_* etc..
Could anyone assist me with this? I'm sure I'm missing something very basic here.... -_-
    Bottom line:
Why is my workflow not getting triggered from creating travel requests via FITE_REQUEST?
    Cheers, Lukas

SWE2 linkage is activated for my Workflow number (I didn't do it by hand, it's set by the system since I activated the event in my workflowtemplate --> this way actually no inconsistencies can happen).
SWDD Tests are successful and the Workflow is working well in general. That's why I pointed out in my previous post that the process is working fine when initiated via PR05.
EDIT: Or maybe somebody knows the part in coding FITV_FPM/FITE_VC* where the workflow should be triggered? It's freaking unfindable, I've been debugging for hours. >:-(
EDIT: Debugged the entire WDA Frmaework for like five hours...feeling dead inside...someone please tell me from where the workflow gets triggered when saving travel request from portal -_-....

  • Approval Process of Quotes via Workflow

    Dear Experts,
I'm looking for a Workflow solution, with which I can elektronically appove a Quote. In detail it means e.g. to reales a quote, two sgnatures are mandetory. These two people should be chosen inside the quote as a partner. After Savind they should get an e-mail notification and be able to approve the quote via e-mail (Outlook) or inside SAP.
Is there a possibility to do that via workflow? How? Do anybody has some experience?
    Other proposals?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Abbas

    1. backup the existing Update user workflow as an xml file
    2. Copy paste the same in the BPE.
    3. Save the copy as a new object with a different name.
    4. Edit the new workflow as follows:
    4.1 Create new activity
4.2 In the new activity, add a variable with some name
4.3 create a new action, and let that action be a subprocess. For that subprocess, browse and choose 'Approval' as the action.
    4.4 Add a argument as name=approvalForm and value=<name of approval form>
4.5 Include argument user=$(user), etc. (Check the original approval workflow to see what the names of the arguments are)
4.6 For return to=name of the variable declared, from=approved
4.7 Add a 'isTrue' condition for the variable declared.
    5. Make the appropriate transitions, and ur ready to go.
Let me know if this helps. I can post some skeleton code tomorrow. I need to work on it. Drop a line at [email protected]

  • Creating automated email reminders to users every 2 weeks via Workflow 2010 Out of Box approach only

    Hi,
I have been asked to automate the email reminders to users (every two weeks) from the SharePoint2010 solution.
I am trying to achieve this via workflow ,but am unable to get the results.
    Req :
Twice a month the users should get an automated email reminder for a specific task.
    1. On 14th (or last working day in mid month -1) of the month. ( a field "mid month end" captures the date as 15th of the month)
    2. On last working day - 1 of the month. ( a field "month end" captures the date as last day of the month)
Please let me know how i can achieve this via Out of box functionality. I donot have exp with workflows so a detailed steps guidlines will be very helpfull.
    Regards,
    Guru

Although you can start a workflow and then pause it for a number of days, I'd feel uncomfortable with that. If the farm crashes, who guarantees that the paused workflows will pick up where they were left off?
SharePoint does no offer to run a workflow on all items in a list/library -- which I feel is a big draw back.
The good news is that there is a free 3rd party tool that can run a workflow on all (or specific) items in a list or library.  It's called the
HarePoint Workflow Scheduler and I love it.
You can create a view that shows the items that you want to run the workflow on.
Or, if you know how to write CAML, you can feed the CAML Query right into the HarePoint Workflow Scheduler task.
At my company we have several sites in production that use the HarePoint Workflow Scheduler with a view.
So, first, create a SharePoint Designer workflow and define it to run manually.
Then use the HarePoint workflow scheduler to define a schedule.
You can define a schedule for the HarePoint tool, like every day, month, week, etc., by just clicking a few boxes.
Since this functionality does not come out of the box with SharePoint 2010, this free tool is a real gem.

(lead.employee responsible.business partner= container element defined by me)
when i first try to execute the workflow and test it ,in the container  i am getting the value of the container element in which i have the position where i have to send the mail.but inspite of value getting populated ,when i am using that container element to send mail like:
    expression: container element
the mail is not send, when i checked the log it is mentioned that " you are not the authorised person to stsart the workflow and start failed" but workflow is still triggered and i am able to pass the object but not able to send the mail.
please tell me is there any feasible way to achieve this, like rule or in my way how is it able to achieve
detailed possible solution will really be appreciated.on thing we are working on CRM 5.0 standalone system

    Hi,
    Follow this ,
Goto PFTC -> Choose "Workflow Template" from the drop down -> Enter the workflow template id "123********" in the text box -> now click on "change" button -> Now goto the menu addional data -> agent assignment -> maintain -> select the task text -> and set it as general task.
I guess you have done the same for the standard task TS*********** but failed to do it for the workflow template (WS123*************). Or have you done it already?
Also once you make this change "Refresh your buffers" once before checking it out.

  • Error while trying to post inbound idoc of message type COND_A

    Hi,
I am getting error while trying to post inbound idoc of message type COND_A.
If I left Usage & Condition field of segment E1KOMG then 'Table not available' idoc message is coming
and if providing value in above fields then dump is coming.
    How to solve ?
    Plz do reply
    Thanks
    Mohit

I do not see any reason why you would need to use COND_A04  if COND_A01 is working.
What if you could get COND_A04 to post and you would face the same result as in COND_A01?
If SAP does not check wrong values, then you have to do it yourself, or you report an incident at SAP (after you have searched for OSS notes that may have fixed this error already)
For example OSS Note 1169998 - IDoc: KONP-LIFNR values not checked
fixed a situation where the vendor number was not validated.

  • Getting error code 37 while sending IDOC via WE19

    Hello experts,
I am facing a very unlikely error which is preventing me from testing my scenario.
I dont have XI quality server and hence I am using my development server as both dev and quality. Hence I need to connect both dev and quality SAP R/3 system to my XI dev system. While I have done all the configurations in my XI and both SAP R/3 systems, its giving me error when i am trying to send IDOC from quality system.
In quality R/3 i have done the following:
    1) Created RFC for my XI dev server
    2) Created port for this RFC
    3) Created partner profile adding all required IDOCS in the outbound parameters
    4) Created distribution channel for all the idocs
In XI dev system i have done the following:
    1) Created RFC for both dev and quality of R/3
    2) Created port for both the RFCs
    3) Maintained the IDOC metadata for both the ports
Now when I am pusing IDOC via dev of r/3 (we19) is working fine but when I am doing the same from quality of r/3 its giving me status code of idoc as 37 that says "An error was identified in the control record while adding an IDoc. The sender port SAPQTY_510 is invalid."
But I have created this sender port SAPQTY_510 in my XI dev system and have also maintained the idoc metadata. I dont know why this error is coming.
Can anyone please point out what mistake i have done or if i missed sometig as I am trying to connect 2 r/3 systems to one XI system.
Its really urgent hence your help will be highly apreciated.
    Thanks,
    Yash

    hi yash,
where you created SAPQTY_510 ,it should be created in R/3 Quality RFC destinations.
In XI DEV create port like SAPxxx WHERE xxx is SID of quality system.
    actually we are getting confused.
i guess you used same name SAPQTY_510 in quality R/3 and XI DEV .
In error it says sender port SAPQTY_510  is invalid mean port of Source not XI DEV(receiver).
just try to use some other name say SAPXXX_QUA and confirm the error.
when IDOC is sent to XI DEV  ,port of  XIDEV  SAPQTY_510 has nothing to play any role .
just check whether rfc destination of sender port (QUALITY R/3)you used is of type 3.
so please check at which port error is coming.

  • Error while posting the IDOC. Status message '56'

    Hi,
I have a requirement where I will post an IDOC which inturn will split the original IDOC into child IDOCs based on the store value.
I am trying to post the IDOC in WE19. So, the Original IDOC is posted successfully with status '53'. Whereas, the child IDOCS finished with error. The status of the message is '56' and the error says 'EDI: Partner profile not available'. Could someone tell me what could be the reason for this..?
Actually, the IDOC was created by the Functional Consultant. So, should the partner profile creation also done by them or do we need to do anything to solve this problem.? Could someone answer me this question. Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Paddu.

It looks like the control data for the child segment is not getting populated. you have to find the code which populated the control data and see if it is doing what it should.
