Headphone calling on the 4S running iOS6

Is there a know defect for calling with headphones on the 4s running iOS6? I seem to also pick up the microphone on the phone as if I am on speaker phone. It creates some odd feedback. I didn't have this problem before the iOS6 update.
Use Case:
1. Make a call using the headphones
2. run your finger on the bottom of the phone (across the microphone)
results:
     Hear feedback from the phone microphone

You will have to enable Siri to get the voice for your iphone 4S/5.  You can't get it one the 4 b/c you don't have siri.
Also depending on where your located take a look here if it is available http://www.apple.com/ios/feature-availability/

  • Exit or badi for tcode F110, which called during the payment run.

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement to create a txt file in the application folder, while doing the payment run.
    right we are copying the standard program RFFOEDI1, but we dont know in which part of code , we can find the values from REGUP and REGUH tables, so that we can code based that.
    so if someone can get the exit name for this purpose or where to find the REGUP values, it will be great.
    Regards,
    Shobana.K

    In program RFFOEDI1 subroutine EDI has logic of creating edi messages.
    If you are replacing edi functionality with custom file creation then replace call to this form with you own form.
    Program use logical database and FIELD-GROUPS to retreive and process data. I would recommend get familarise youself with FIELD-GROUPS.

    hi,
    Finally Figured Out Here....
    Steps to Call the Stored Procedure In Actuate 7
    1 – Right Click on Content – Frame and go to properties and method Tab.
         1 – Click on New Button to you create own custom method.
         2 – Write the following code :
    Sub runProc(procName as String, connection As AcDBConnection )
         Dim statement As AcDBStatement
         Dim results as string
         Set connection = GetConnection()
         'Prepare statement
         Set statement = connection.Prepare("BEGIN " & procName & "; END;" )
              If statement Is Nothing Then
                   results = "Failed to prepare statement."
                   results = results & " " & connection.GetSpecificErrorText( )
                   results = results & " " & connection.GetGeneralErrorText( )
                   MsgBox "Procedure Not Called....Badddddd"
                   Exit sub
              End If
         ' Execute sprocoutparam
              If statement.Execute() = 0 Then
                   results = "Stored procedure " & procName & "execution failed."
                   results = results & " " & connection.GetSpecificErrorText( )
                   results = results & " " & connection.GetGeneralErrorText( )
                   MsgBox "Procedure Not Called....Badddddd" & results
              Else
                   results = "Stored procedure " & procName & " execution success."
                   MsgBox "Procedure Called....Wowwww"
              End if
              ShowFactoryStatus(results)
    End Sub2 – Now let call the stored procedure before our actual report query runs.
         1 - Right Click on Content – Frame and go to properties and method Tab.
         2 - Select the Start Method and Click on Override button.
         3 - Write the following code:
    Sub Start( )
         Dim ProcName as String
         Dim connectionObject As AcDBConnection
         Set connectionObject = GetConnection()
         ProcName="XXTEST ()"
         runProc( ProcName, connectionObject )
        Super::Start ( )
    End Sub3 – Now design your report as usual using the Textual Query window.

  • I have a production mobile Flex app that uses RemoteObject calls for all data access, and it's working well, except for a new remote call I just added that only fails when running with a release build.  The same call works fine when running on the device

    I have a production mobile Flex app that uses RemoteObject calls for all data access, and it's working well, except for a new remote call I just added that only fails when running with a release build. The same call works fine when running on the device (iPhone) using debug build. When running with a release build, the result handler is never called (nor is the fault handler called). Viewing the BlazeDS logs in debug mode, the call is received and send back with data. I've narrowed it down to what seems to be a data size issue.
    I have targeted one specific data call that returns in the String value a string length of 44kb, which fails in the release build (result or fault handler never called), but the result handler is called as expected in debug build. When I do not populate the String value (in server side Java code) on the object (just set it empty string), the result handler is then called, and the object is returned (release build).
    The custom object being returned in the call is a very a simple object, with getters/setters for simple types boolean, int, String, and one org.23c.dom.Document type. This same object type is used on other other RemoteObject calls (different data) and works fine (release and debug builds). I originally was returning as a Document, but, just to make sure this wasn't the problem, changed the value to be returned to a String, just to rule out XML/Dom issues in serialization.
    I don't understand 1) why the release build vs. debug build behavior is different for a RemoteObject call, 2) why the calls work in debug build when sending over a somewhat large (but, not unreasonable) amount of data in a String object, but not in release build.
    I have't tried to find out exactly where the failure point in size is, but, not sure that's even relevant, since 44kb isn't an unreasonable size to expect.
    By turning on the Debug mode in BlazeDS, I can see the object and it's attributes being serialized and everything looks good there. The calls are received and processed appropriately in BlazeDS for both debug and release build testing.
    Anyone have an idea on other things to try to debug/resolve this?
    Platform testing is BlazeDS 4, Flashbuilder 4.7, Websphere 8 server, iPhone (iOS 7.1.2). Tried using multiple Flex SDK's 4.12 to the latest 4.13, with no change in behavior.
    Thanks!

    After a week's worth of debugging, I found the issue.
    The Java type returned from the call was defined as ArrayList.  Changing it to List resolved the problem.
    I'm not sure why ArrayList isn't a valid return type, I've been looking at the Adobe docs, and still can't see why this isn't valid.  And, why it works in Debug mode and not in Release build is even stranger.  Maybe someone can shed some light on the logic here to me.

  • How can I debug the Call Library Function at run-time

    I've written a VI using the CLF to call a DLL which was compiled off-site by another engineer using MSVC. Even though the VI runs without flagging any errors, the VI is not doing what I expect. Is there any way of finding out if the DLL is been called correctly? The first function that is called doesn't return any value, but I think that it should. Does this mean that the DLL is not being called correctly? Note also that the DLL works fine with a JAVA GUI.

    Make sure that you are specifying the proper function prototype in the call library function. If you are slightly off the call will not work properly. Ask the offsite engineer to provide you with this data. Another tip is to build the dll with the option to show front panel when called. You can actually popup the dll like you would a subvi. If you design it with test indicators showing on the front panel that is a great way to determine if it is working. Hope this helps.

  • I mirror my iphone 4s to my Apple TV and can't use my headphones straight to the iphone 4s. Is there a way to avoid running a really long cable to the tv jack?

    I think apple may have overlooked that alot of people watch tv with headphones on, it would have been really good to mirror the iphone 4s and use the headphone jack on the iphone 4s to run the headphones.
    I'm the kind of person who walks about when watching tv, not everyone in my family wants it on so it would have been great to just listen to it through the iphone.
    At the moment I am faced with having to use a really long cable to the tv which just isn't going to work.
    Have I missed something here, I have gone through the settings on the iphone to see if I can find a way around this?
    With thanks,

  • Error 1172, an error running a VI in the second time call of the DLL

    Hello All,
    I am a beginner in labVIEW.
    I have to write a test program in labVIEW which uses a DLL created by other programmer.
    I called the DLL from my labVIEW to control DIOs, a serial port, communicate with a slave device, perfrom a flashing task.
    While testing the program, I found that the program is OK if I use it just once, however, if I want to run it coninuously using a Do-While Loop, it failed with
    Error 1172.
    As far as I could understand, it seems that the DLL creates a log file in C:\ while it was called for the first time, and the process does not stop taking control of this log file even after the DLL is closed.
    Then when the DLL is called for the second time, it looks for the same log file to write new info but as it was taken control by the previous process, there comes an error.
    Please find the attached files.
    Hope there would be somebody who is able to help me to point out my mistakes in my vi or suggest me a solution for it.
    Thanks and Best Regards
    Aung
    (As the system does not accept the DLL attachment, I changed the extension to .pdf for the DLL File)

    It's only Safari/iOS7. Chrome iOS7 works fine.
    Solution?
    Go to YT and grab the code.
    Paste it in a HTML Snippet.

  • HT204406 I can't seem to download songs from iTumes Match on my new iPhone 5. It still works fine on my iPad. Both are running ios6 and there is plenty of free space on the phone (20 GB or so). The download icon shows & flashes but nothing happens.

    I am trying to play songs from iTunes Match on my phone everything is enabled. The songs and playlists show up but when I select one it won't download or play. The download status icon next to the song name flashes on and off but nothing happens. When I go to the iTunes Store the download section shows the same behavior - it flashes that there is 1 download continuously but nothing downloads. My iPad on the same network also running ios6 works fine. Any ideas?

    Problem closed (although not resolved).  After working with Apple support, no resolution was found.  I asked for a refund of the iTunes match purchase price, which was granted.  Interestingly the support tech, who was very nice if not particularly helpful from a technical point of view, spun the "resolution" of refunding my iTunes match purchase price as a positive one, here is a quote from the final email
    "I'm glad to hear that you're not having issues with the songs you've purchased.  Nothing makes Apple happier than to hear that our customers concerns have been rectified."
    It is notable that I never had an issue downloading music directly purchased thru the iTunes store, the only issue that existed was downloading songs that I ripped from my CD collection and "matched".
    I'm happy that I received my money back, however I wish that the iTunes Match service worked for me (I was looking forward to this service).  I'm most upset at the time I wasted trying to fix this problem.
    I'll now download music the old fashioned way: syncing with iTunes directly.

  • Making a call with the iphone headphones

    I know that you can answer calls through your headphones that came with the iphone but is it possible to make a call through it using the microphone and saying a command to call someone?

    What I meant was while Im listening to my ipod on my iphone, is it possible to use the button on the headset and make a voice call from my headphones? I know I can do voice calling from the phone itself but I was wondering if you could do it through your headphones like push the button and say call whoever in the microphone and it would do it.

  • Will subsequent calls to an object running in a thread run in the thread?

    Hi,
    If I start a thread with an empty run method and then make a call to the object that I started in the thread, will the method call run in the other thread? For example:
    class ThreadClass implements Runnable {
        public void someMethod() {
        public void run() {
    class ThreadCaller {
        private ThreadClass threadClass;
        public ThreadCaller() {
            threadClass = new ThreadClass();
            Thread thread = new Thread(threadClass);
            thread.start();
        public blah() {
            threadClass.someMethod();
    }Will the method call in blah() run in the same thread as ThreadCaller, or will it run in the thread that was started in ThreadCaller's constructor?
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Is there a way to keep the thread alive until the object that started the thread is terminated,Objects don't get terminated. What do you mean?I want the thread to stay alive indefinitely until I arbitrarily terminate it makes more sense. The thread will stay alive until its run method completes. The canonical approaches are
    public void run() {
      while (!Thread.interrupted()) { // NOT isInterrupted()
        // do stuff
        // if you need to catch InterruptedException, do this:
        try {
        catch (InterruptedException exc) {
          Thread.currentThread().interrupt();
    }And then from another thread, call theAboveThread.interrupt() when it's time to stop. Read the docs in interrupt(), interrupted(), the interrupt flag, etc.
    OR
    while (!done()) {
      // do stuff
    }and then another thread calls setDone(true) or somesuch when it's time to stop. Note that all access to done--both get and set--must be synchronized, or done must be declared volatile. Also note that you may still have to handle interrupts, so you may have some repeated code with this approach--testing both done() and interrupted().
    Let me give the end-goal of this.
    Currently, I have a "main" thread which the user can input commands into, and another thread which occasionally runs in the background. When I want something to run in the background, I just create a new thread. However, I figured it'd be more efficient to have one thread running in the background to do something as opposed to spawning hundreds of new threads to do the same task over and over. If the task happens VERY frequently and what it does is VERY small and quick, then the overhead of thread creation may make this a valid approach. Otherwise, don't overcomplicate it. Since you're new to threads, first get it working where you spawn one thread for each background task. Then move on to thread pooling. Look into ThreadPoolExecutor and related classes.

  • Calling a VI to run in the background

    Hey, can anyone help me with this:
    I have a vi which is eseentially a sequence (though I do not use a sequence
    primitive). At one point during my sequence, I need to launch another VI
    that goes and does its own thing. Then, the calling VI (the original one)
    has to finish a few steps, while the other VI is doing its own thing. I
    have no experience using the 'VI Control' primitives on the controls
    pallete, so if anyone has experience with this, could you please help me
    out?
    Essentially, I need to run two VI's at once. I know how to do that in terms
    of making each while loop have a 'Wait for Milliseconds' within the loop so
    that the currently executing loop does not hog the processor, I just don't
    know how to launc
    h another VI to run in the background from within a VI.
    The only way that I have done this in the past is to call a VI as a
    subroutine, have it do its task, and then return to the calling VI.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Wes
    [email protected]

    Wes,
    Apart from calling a VI as a sub-vi you can use VI Server to call another VI. The VI you are calling can be on the same machine or could be called remotely from another machine.
    There are a few examples on using VI Server you may find helpful. If you go to the Resource Library in NI Developer Zone http://zone.ni.com/libraries/ and then go to LabVIEW-Connectvity-VI Server you should find quite a few examples.
    One that is pretty simple and useful is titled - Programmatically Opening and Running One VI from Another Using VI Server
    In the diagram of the This.vi you'll see that there is an invoke node that is calling a Run VI method, the parameter for the method is Wait Until Done. By setting this to true you can ensure that the VI you are calling completes executi
    on before the next VI (with flow being controlled through the error cluster) executes. If you set it to false the VI will go off and run and you can continue doing things independently.
    Do be careful in case you are getting into situations where you might be calling the same VI again before the previous call has completed. If that is a possibility mark the VI as re-entrant, this is wether you're using VI server or just calling the same sub-vi multiple times in another VI. If you don't set the VI up to be re-entrant you run the risk of the same data space being used for different calls.

    when i make calls, all i can hear is static, and when i plug in headphones or turn the speaker on, it still doesnt work. but facetime, music, an apps sound still work. help? iphone 5

    Hello Delaney1130,
    It sounds like you are getting static on both the receiver and the speaker when you make a call. I would use the troubleshooting from the following article to help resolve the issue named:
    iPhone: Troubleshooting issues making or receiving calls
    https://support.apple.com/kb/TS3406
    Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
    Check your phone settings:
    Check your Do Not Disturb settings: Tap Settings > Do Not Disturb.
    Check for any blocked phone numbers: Tap Settings > Phone > Blocked.
    See if Call Forwarding is turned on: Tap Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding.
    Ensure that your software is up to date:
    Check for a carrier settings update.
    Check for an iOS software update.
    Note: Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
    If the iPhone has a SIM card, reseat the SIM card.
    If the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4s is on the Verizon network, dial *228 from the iPhone and select option 2 to update the Preferred Roaming List (PRL). The PRL determines the cellular towers the phone uses for cellular service, selecting those with the best signal strength.
    Reset the network settings: Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    Try to make or receive calls in another location.
    Attempt to isolate to one network band:
    If you're having the issue on LTE, disable LTE, if possible, and try again.
    If you're having the issue on 3G/4G, disable 3G/4G, if possible, and try again.
    Contact the carrier to check the following:
    Your account is properly configured to use the specific iPhone that has the issue.
    There are no localized service outages.
    Your account doesn't have a billing-related block.
    Your calls don't have errors on the carrier system.
    Restore the phone as new.
    If the above steps don't resolve the issue, go to an Apple Retail Store, carrier, Apple Authorized Reseller, or contact AppleCare to send the phone in for service.
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling

    Using the 5th generation iPod. Purchased it a few months ago before the new one was launched. Yes the workout randomly ends when I am no where near the time or distance I have programmed in. I keep tried to restart the workout and the same thing keeps happening over and over again. I figured it may have been the headphones but I have even tried holding the headphone connection in place, and different headphones as well and it continues to happen.
