Help - Can't use regular keyboard for typing!

My torch is not allowing me to type with the regular keyboard. I tried re-installing the software and cleaning the phone and this still isn't helping.
Any suggestions?

I can't use my keyboard for long in CS4 - very odd

I have 2 computers and when I try to use the keyboard for shortcuts on my second computer, some weird dialog with chinese characters pops up shortly after I start using the keyboard and I can't use the keyboard for shortcuts after that point, ever. How can you use the Keyboard for a JComboBox within a JTable without F2

I am brand new to Java and I can't seem to figure this out. I have a JTable with 4 columns. The first column is a jCheckBox which is working fine. The other three are JComboBoxes. They work fine when you click them and select from the list, but our end users only want to navigate with the keyboard. They want to be able to tab to the column and just start typing the first letter of the item that they want to choose from the list and have that pop up the list and scroll to the first item in the list that starts with the letter the typed. Does anyone know how to do this? I have been playing with this for a week now and I can't seem to make it work. Please help. Below is the code for my table. Any help would be appreciated greatly. Can we use regular expressions for validation of inputs in a java application taking care of i18N aspects too. Zip code for different locales are different. Can we use regular expressions to validate zipcode inputs from different locales

For that shall i have to create individual patterns for matching the inputs from different locales or a single pattern will do in the case of validating phone nos. around the world, zip codes etc. In case different patterns are required, programmer should have a konwledge of difference in patters for different locales.

        Below is the procedure, having functionalities of populating two tables. For first table, its a simple insertion process but for second table, we need to break the soruce record as per business requirement and then insert into the table. [Have used regular expressions for that]
        Procedure works fine but it takes around 23 mins for processing 1mm of rows.
        Since this procedure would be used, parallely by different ETL processes, so append hint is not recommended.
        Is there any ways to improve its performance, or any suggestion if my approach is not optimized? Thanks for all help in advance.

Regex's are known to be CPU intensive specially when dealing with large number of rows.
If you have to reduce the processing time, you need to tune the Select statements.
One suggested change could be to change the following query

Before looking for any performance benefit, you need to ensure that this does not change your output.
How many substrings are you expecting in the P_EXCEPTION_RECORD? If less than 5, it will be better to opt for SUBSTR and INSTR combination as it might work well with the number of records you are working with. Only trouble is, you will have to write different SUBSTR and INSTR statements for each column to be fetched.
How are you calling this procedure? Is it not possible to work with Collections? Delimited strings are not a very good option as it requires splitting of the data every time you need to refer to.

Firefox doesn't allow me to use the cut/paste/copy functions with these editors. I get this message or something similar every time. Thanks everyone. What worked for me was a version of the suggestions above. I had the problem with the ≠ character appearing in all my Photoshop CS6 keyboard shortcuts and rendering them largely unusable. However, I don't have any other keyboards besides US English enabled on my Mac. I do have Spell Catcher installed, which works through the keyboard input method. So, I switched from Spell Catcher back to English (with the US flag), launched Photoshop and presto, my keyboard shortcuts were restored, absent that obnoxious ≠ symbol. Once in Photoshop, if I reselect Spell Catcher, the ≠ symbol returns so I have to run Photoshop without the help of Spell Catcher - or forego the use of keyboard shortcuts while it's on. Since the developer of Spell Catcher passed away last year there will be no more updates to the otherwise very useful utility. Apparently this keyboard shortcut problem in the various guises reported here is linked to some element of the OS X input method in Mavericks, as Photoshop seems to manifest the issue in relation to one specific input source or another. This is the first application in my experience to have a problem with Spell Catcher in OS X 10.9. So I will continue to use it, except in Photoshop. Spell Catcher was never updated for Mountain Lion or Mavericks so people like me will have to use it "at our own risk" as the saying goes. Be that as it may, it does appear to be a bug in Photoshop that's at the root of this matter as different people have somewhat different problems with the OS X input method - not that I expect either Adobe or Apple to do anything about it.

[SOLVED]Trying to use Marathi language for typing using ibus

Namskar to all,
I'm using a plane install of Arch (no testing or something) regularly updated for last eight months or so. I'm using XFCE and Slim.
I wanted to use Marathi language for typing in Libreoffice. After wiki search installed corresponding langpack and also ibus and ibus-m17n.
did ibus-setup.
I couldn't find Marathi or devnagari as input method in ibus preferences.
Googled again but couldn't figure out a way to enable those input methods.
Found that it's there in ubuntu at a friend's place.
Any directions in the matter will be highly appreciated.

Can I use touch ID for App Store without using a passcode?

It seems that the ony way I can use the touch ID for App Store and iTunes is if I have a passcode to get into my phone. I don't want a passcode, it get in and out of my phone too often to have to unlock it all the time and I hate manually typing in my password for App I buy. Why can't it do both, isn't the touch ID just as secure for purchases even if you don't have to unlock the phone to get to it??

you should be able to use Touch ID without needing your passcode. If none of those circumstances is true and you're still being asked for your passcode to make a purchase from the iTunes Store, it would seem that something is amiss with your iPhone.

The table on the left uses the value in the first column to lookup up information in the table Data

I know this look complicated. so I'll break it up into smalled pieces:
first the "&" is called the concatenate operator and joins two strings. like this:
a string is a set of characters between double quotes.
so "string 1" & "string 2" becomes "string 1string2" or "Sam " & "Jones" becomes "Sam Jones"
you can use cell references instead of strings directly in which case the concatenation is performed on the contents of the cells.
so if cell A1 contains "Hi " and the cell A2 contains "There" then A1 & A2 will result in "Hi There"
so you could add the formula
A3=A1 & A2
this is short hand for select cell A3 then type everything including the A3 so that A3 contains "=A1 & A2" (omit the double quote)
OK. So the formula I provided concatenates several items together:
it concatenates A2, then the string " is " then a formula, then the string " years old and likes the color " then a formula
the two formulas (highlighted in blue) perform a lookup of the value in cell A2 in columns A thru D of the table named "Data". If if finds the value in cell A2 in the first column of the lookup range in the table Data (column A) then it returns the value from the same row but in the second or third column.

I have two tables. One is room (primary key is room(type is char)), another table is responsibility (foreign ker is room(type is char)). Both tables have same length for room column.
There is a problem:
If I use (in the "DataEditComponent.jsp" file)

I found If I changed the field type from char to varchar2 in database also change the entity objects, it works well. I wonder if there are any diffrence using <jbo:InputSelect tag in char and varchar2 type. How can I use <jbo:InputSelect for a char type filed as i don't want to change my datatype in database at this stage.
I try this in JDeveloper 9.03, 9.034, 9.04. The result is the same.

If you are using this as part of an edit page you may want to utilize the "selected" option of the <option> tag. In one instance I am doing this on an edit page because the use may open an existing record. If I don't account for it, then it will change the DB to contain the first value from the list! You can do a simple check like:

I know it's possible, because i already found some blogs about changing the chart colors and turning off the animated graphs.

possible in 11G through the dvt-graph-skin.xml, but what i want to know is, is there a document that explains which tags you could use in this file.
