Help..encryption causes block to double!

this is my code
class key
     public static byte[] toBytes(long n)
          byte[] b = new byte[16];
          for (int i=15;i>=8;i--)
               b=0;
     b[7] = (byte) (n);
     n >>>= 8;
     b[6] = (byte) (n);
     n >>>= 8;
     b[5] = (byte) (n);
     n >>>= 8;
     b[4] = (byte) (n);
     n >>>= 8;
     b[3] = (byte) (n);
     n >>>= 8;
     b[2] = (byte) (n);
     n >>>= 8;
     b[1] = (byte) (n);
     n >>>= 8;
     b[0] = (byte) (n);
     return b;
Heres the encryption code
long k=10000;
Cipher aesCipher;
byte totry[]=key.toBytes(k);
SecretKeySpec skeySpec = new SecretKeySpec(totry,"AES");
aesCipher = Cipher.getInstance("AES/CBC/PKCS5Padding");
aesCipher.init(Cipher.ENCRYPT_MODE, skeySpec);
byte[] cleartext = toencrypt.getBytes();
System.out.println(aesCipher.getBlockSize());
emessage = aesCipher.doFinal(cleartext);
System.out.println(emessage.length+" "+cleartext.length);
The output is 32,16!!!
Can someone help
Thanks

But my block size is 16 and my byte array size is
16.Padding shouldnt cause it to double..shud it?Please spend some time reading about PKCS5 padding.
In essence, PKCS5 pads your data with bytes up to the next block length with a byte value which is the number of bytes you have used for padding. If you already have an integral number of blocks then this policy will add a full block length of bytes each havaing the block length as value.
For example, if your block size is 16 and you have data as 16 bytes then the padding will give you
x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16
Of course, if you know you always have an integral number blocks then you can specify NoPadding .

    Apple does not track nor block iPads. If it was equipped to access
    cellular, report it to your cellular provider. Report the loss to your
    local police. If covered by your insurance, report to your insurance
    company.
    Immediately change all of your passwords.
    If you had previously set it up, you may be able to track it via
    Find my iPhone.

    Hello Renvin29,
    It sounds like you need to disable your iPhone remotely. I'm sorry to hear about your phone! The only way to do this with is Apple services is if you had Find my iPhone enabled. You have 2 options:
    You can use this article to put the phone into Lost Mode and preserve your data on it, but prevent access to it:
    iCloud: Use Lost Mode
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2700
    Or you can just erase it remotely outright:
    iCloud: Erase your device
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2701
    You should also take a look at this article for additional info on what to do about this situation:
    If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen

    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,

    This may be due to adware called GoPhoto.it, which there was a sudden increase in reports about last week. Try the removal instructions here:

    If you don't find any parts of GoPhoto.it installed, try going through my Adware Removal Guide from the beginning.

  • Need help encrypting, etc - New Wireless User

    I need help encrypting my network, I notice there are 5 wireless networks within range and they are all secure except mine.  I also wonder why my signal is just "fair" .. I don't really understand this whole wireless thing, so any help anyone could give me would be appreciated.

    First and foremost... what is the exact model number of your wireless device?
    Anyway, let's use a hardwired PC to configure everything. On the hardwired PC, open up IE and on the address bar type in 192.168.1.1 (username just leave it blank, password as a default is admin)...
    Go the wireless tab do these steps:
    ► change the SSID (that will be the name of your wireless network... use any name you would want to use)...
    ► for proper signal propagation choose channel 11
    Then to secure your network:
    ► go the wireless security subtab
    ► choose WPA personal
    ► input on the shared key box your desired wireless password (should be at least 8 characters long)....

    My iPad has a Charging battery sign but it won't start up help me cause i'm really upset...

    After following deggie's advice, charge the iPad overnight.  Be sure to use the charger that came with the iPad.  Do not use an iPhone charger.  Do not use an iPod charger.  Do not use a computer USB port.

  • Firefox Help page on "blocking cookies" is incomplete and refers to a "tool" menu that does not exist

    The following page:
    http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Blocking%20cookies?s=blocking+cookies&as=s
    is incomplete - please see as example:
    "Viewing a list of blocked sites
    To see a list of sites that you have blocked from setting cookies: "
    There is no text after the colon.
    Also the same page refers to selecting a "Tools" menu from the Firefox window(whatever that is?) - in order to get "Page info" so that cookies can be blocked. I can't the Tools menu - clicking on the Firefox (at top left hand of page) does not give this option.
    I was looking at this page in order to find out how to permanently block specific cookie sites. I block them when they appear when I have set "accept 3rd party cookes to "keep until" - "ask me every time" - and I also have "clear history when Firefox closes" set. However the blocked addresses are deleted when I come out of Firefox - this is very irritating as there are some cookies I wish to permanently block. This means that every time I open a web site I have to click on "deny" cookie several times - even thought they are the same ones I have blocked in a differenrt session. I prefer to choose what I block as some sites really don't work without their personal cookies - usually to support subscriber log in (e.g to log in to the "New Scientist" site)so "private browsing" doesn't really help and as you have mentioned elsewhere blocking 3rd party cookies can also cause problems
    yours
    H.Ruddy
    Thank you for "Do Not Track" it's a good start although it will have no effect if the sites ignore it.

    Looks like a problem with show for that is only specified for Firefox 3.5 for that section.

  • Upgrade broke bluetooth - would like help diagnosing cause

    I ran two pacman -Syu cycles today and one or other (but I'm not sure which) has broken bluetooth. I would like, if possible, to figure out the most likely causes and whether there is anything which might have avoided this.
    A little background: bluetooth has always been dodgy on this machine. A BIOS upgrade helped but has not really resolved the issues under Linux. (Can't say about Windows as I don't use it.) Since the upgrade there is a reasonably certain way of restoring bluetooth but it is, frankly, a PITA. (It involves resetting BIOS to defaults which renders the machine unbootable as it wipes the EFI boot entry for grub. This is easily fixed but it is a pain to have to go through this all the time.)
    The issue is that bluetooth appears as hard blocked and nothing I've found short of the above reenables it.
    Here's pacman's log for today:

    I assume that obex-data-server is a plausible culprit but I'm not certain whether other things might be implicated such as glibc.

    I'm not sure why "adaptor  /org/bluez/447/hci0" would be disabled? Or what would have disabled it? I guessing this is the key but is this a symptom or a cause?
    EDIT: I just realised that in the above output, CROND seems to be using the lts modules for bluetooth (not sure what cron does with bluetooth). The records show that I was not booted with the lts kernel at this point. (I had to check as I did try the lts kernel when my machine was badly overheating but it didn't seem to help.) I have no idea what those commands are trying to do, but is that expected?

    Well, what does your root crontab show?  I guess you should probably also dig around to see if you can figure out where those cronjobs are running from.  They indicate root, but I know that can also come from the set of scripts in /etc.
    What happens if you modprobe that module.  Like maybe load it (and hope that it then loads the right one), or removing the module and reloading it.
    Also, the other day, I discovered that with UEFI, you can have a default efi program that doesn't require a boot manager entry.  Anything that is saved as \EFI\boot\bootx86.efi will automatically be booted when you select your device from the boot manager menu (like the hard drive itself, as if you were going to boot from the mbr).  I am not sure what would happen though if you were to have two efi system partitions though, but I am fairly certain you only have one.
    So I have set my system up so that I have one boot manager entry for linux-ck, and then my hard drive is second in the boot list.  So if I selecy my hard drive, I have gummiboot set up as bootx64.efi, and from there I have all my other possible boot methods, including the shell.  Since you are a grub user, maybe you should copy grub to that position and see what happens.  I guess this is why the bios has a setting to switch whether uefi or bios should be tried first.

  • SWF Basic Image Slider Causes "Blocked Script" Warning in IE

    Hey Guys,
        I just recently coded a basic image slider/slide show in Flash CS5. Bassicly, it's just a bunch of images that slide via motion tween in and out of view (Like on the right side of Pizzahut.com, my clients insperation) but, when published and thrown into my HTML, it causes Internet Explorer to give the "To Help Protect Your Security, Internet Explorer has prevented this webpage from running scripts or active X Controlls" and you have to click the little bar at the top and select "Allow Blocked COntent" for the slideshow to work. I specifically coded this show in flash (Published as an SWF) to avoid this warniong (As opposed to J-Query) and I have sites that I have made with similar SWF image sliders that don't through up this warning (http://www.grangerfun.com/pizza.asp) for example. Is there something I am doing wrong? A publish setting maybe? Thanks for your help!

    when you test local files you'll often cross a security sandbox from a local file to an internet file.  to resolve, either upload the file(s) to a server (so they're all in the internet sandbox) or change your local flash player settings:  http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.htm l

  • Help with eexec block...

    Hello,
    I need to be able to see what is being done within an "eexec" block of a postscript file.
    Is there an easy way to decode it so that I can see what it does?

    ============================================
    There are 2 more of these in the file that I need to decode, but the other two are much longer.
    Can anybody please help me with this?
    I would really appreciate it.
    Thanks

    I have ghostscript installed as well.
    I created eexecDecode.ps with ths following contents:
    (t.in) (r) file /in exch def
    (t.out) (w) file /out exch def
    256 string /buf exch def
    55665           % eexec encryption seed
      { in buf readhexstring /more exch def
        dup .type1decrypt out exch writestring
        more not { exit } if
      } loop
    in closefile
    out closefile
    quit
    I then created t.in with just the hex data.
    But when its time to run it, it doesnt work.
    First, do you mean run it from the GhostScript command line? or the windows comand prompt?
    I'm guessing ghsotscript command line.
    I tried typing the following, but I get an error everytime:
    1) gs eexecDecode.ps decode data in t.out
    2) -- gs eexecDecode.ps decode data in t.out
    3) run --gs eexecDecode.ps decode data in t.out
    4) gs eexecDecode.ps
    5) (eexecDecode.ps) run
    I put the files in the same directory as "gswin32.exe" (C:\Program Files\gs\gs8.71\bin)
    I also tried putting them in "C:\Program Files\gs\gs8.71\" directly, but it still doesnt work.
    I am sure I am doing something wrong.
    Also, is there another simple program like the one you found in order to re-encode the block? because I cant seem to get it to work in the decoded form.
    I really appreciate your help.
    Thanks.

  • Help needed in blocked sales order list vkm1

    Scenerio is that currently the sales coordination department views all blocked sales orders thru t-code VKM1
    The company said they want sales coordination department to view ONLY the sales orders under the value of 300,000rs. (That value being flexible can be changed to 200,000 in the near future.)
    They also want the finance department to also view credit (this being a filter search criteria) sales orders BUT ABOVE the value of 300,000rs (That value being flexible can be changed to 200,000 in the near future.) And have the right to release the orders. So in other words 2 different views for the two different departments.
    What comes to my mind of a way to do this is by creating 2 query reports with a variant of a < less then, >greater then, or = equal too. And thru this query report I can assign the users to only be able to use that report hence, fi report, sd report view. But I am confused in how to begin and setting this up. Please help with any ideas and configuration tips. Which table or field to use in the query report for this?

    Hi,
    For this requirement, i would suggest 1.you design two separate layouts and
                                                           2.ask your basis consultant to assign this two layouts to the two set of departments so that one is authorised to use the first layout and the other department is authorised to use the second layout,  please try this out and let me know.
    I have checked the layout, there you cannot restrict a particular document value, instead design a user exit and use it for the two departments.
    regards,
    US
