Help for beginner - forms onto iweb

Hello all, I am new to this and require some help. I have created a society website on iweb and need to incorporate a membership application form onto a page, I would like an applicant to be able to type their details onto the form and either print off or email the completed form.
Basically where do I start ?

Here's some links to get started....

  • Basic FCP Help for beginner

    Thanks in advance for looking at my post.
    I have a uni project whereby i have to make a music video for a song previously recorded.
    I have videoed various shots of my band playing along to the recorded song.
    They all start at different times (i.e start of video clip does not match with audio clip) yet i know that over the whole song they are in time with each other as i had the drummer play along to the recording using headphones.
    So what im trying to do is load up all of the clips into FCP alongside the audio, adjust the start position for the various video clips so that they synchronise with the audio, and then lock them into place.
    I would then like to cut them up into clips and move the parts that i want to use down onto the main video timeline so that they are in time with the audio.
    I am mainly encountering problems with having to render these 3 minute video clips just to see if they line up with the audio which is a very time consuming process. Is there any way to use the markers and tell them to lock together, that is put a marker on the audio timeline, put markers on each video clip at the same point and line them up/snap them into place.
    Any help would be much appreciated, as i mentioned in the subject i am a complete apple/FCP beginner having only done basic videos where i didnt need to have such synchronicity between audio and video.
    Also on a side note when i load up the video clips into the timeline, they creat new lines V2,V3 and so on. Am i right in assuming that V1 is the final rendered timeline, or does FCP show all of the V# if they have footage on them?
    Tl:dr help

    Thanks for the response, i have looked at a few video tutorials, but i cant find one that deals with multiple video takes over a common audio take.
    Are v2,3 etc slates to load up video before aligning/cutting and placing onto V1 (the main video sequence)??
    With regards to this video
    http://library.creativecow.net/articles/harringtonrichard/final_cut_multicamedit.php
    Am i right in assuming once i have lined up all the video clips to sync with the audio i can set in and out markers on the video clips to tell FCP to use the sections that i want of each take?

  • Help for beginner: Need labview signal to power on =2 actuators of 8 with one power supply

    I am a beginner in using labview. I need to use labview signal to turn on >=2 ac 8 actuators with one power supply. The 24VDC, 0-3A power supply is enough to drive all 8 actuators which need 24VDC and 0.1A current. So the main function is like turning on 2 or more than 2 switches in series with the 8 actuators with one power supply. Any suggestion of some simple module for this purpose? Thanks.

    Maybe I didn't say the question clear. I have one power supply (24VDC, 0-3A) and 8 solenoid valves (24VDC and 0.1A). Two valves (or more than two in future) have to be activated each time. I would like to find something that can work like switches installed in series with the valves. Then I can wire the valves (with the switches) in parallel with the power supply. As I turn the switches on and off with signals from Labview board, power to that specific valve will be turned on and off.
    Any advice for this kind of switches or any module that can be controlled by Labview signal? Please help! Thanks.

  • Need help for Oracle forms 10.1.2

    Hi , I have installed oracle form 10g application in one of my linux box ( 64 bit) , After bringing up the servers , the system-linux box is getting rebooted automatically . Please help as the Everytime the servers are going down along with the machine.

    My shop uses that version of Forms. 64 bit Linux gave us so much trouble we installed 32 bit Linux on the 64 bit hardware.
    Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there's a 32 bit version of the oracle software so 64 bit Linux does not give you anything.

  • Going to Previous Tracks- Help for beginner

    Due to the length of my project and the need for chapter markers, instead of making one long track with over 100 markers, I've created 20 tracks with six or more markers per track. My problem is, if I am on Track 6-Ch. 1, I want to press the back button on my remote to go back to Track 5- Ch. 5. I'm sure there's an easy solution that I'm missing, but I've been missing it for awhile now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Why not make one track? I don't understand why you would rather make 20 tracks with six markers... can you offer more details?
    Why don't you just drag all 20 video clips into the one Track (timeline)? Then it's all the same timeline in the same track and all yer chapter markers will work backward and forward.
    This would be way easier than getting into stories and or scripting.
    If I'm misunderstanding what you are attempting to achieve, I apologize, let me know.
    Cheers!

  • Intuos/Photoshop Help for Beginner

    Hey There,
    I'm an absolute beginner with the Intuos and not much better with Photoshop, so please forgive me if this question is a little basic for this forum.  I'm going to be using the Intuous and Photoshop (or maybe Corel Painter) for a research project evaluting a computerized administration of some tests of visual perception and visual memory.  I'm looking to create a permanent record of the study subjects' drawing processes, such that I could play back their individual pen-strokes in real-time, and preferably with the option to speed-up, slow down etc.  Is this something that would be possibly with Photoshop?  I spoke with someone at Wacom who said they were fairly sure that Photoshop or Painter did this, but they weren't sure which one.
    Thanks much.

    You can keep a text log of every action made in Photoshop but you will not have a record of how the user is drawing with the pen.
    I would look into Camtasia which keeps a video record of all activity on the screen. It is used by many professionals to produce tutorials.

  • Help for a former BlackBerry User

    I had a BlackBerry until a couple months ago. The button in the upper right hand corner of a BlackBerry is a sleep button but on a call it is a mute button. The button in the upper right hand of a iPhone is the sleep button...except when you're on a call it is the hang up button. When I'm listening to conference calls and I want to go to mute real quick I tend to hit this button...and ta da! I'm out of the call. Even after a couple months I just can't get used to not having this as a mute button. And really I kinda prefer having that button there because I can quickly mute to cough, ****, etc With the iPhone if the phone is up to my face I have to wait for it to sense I'm not by the phone, turn the screen back on and then push mute. This is probably the only thing I miss about my BB is the mute button.
    Is there anyway to configure this button to be a mute button and not a hang up button??? Or an app that does it?

    In a word, no.
    When I'm on a call, selecting the sleep/wake button to turn the iPhone's screen off when not using the earpiece - when using the earbuds or a bluetooth headset does not hang up the call.
    The iPhone includes a proximity sensor which turns the iPhone's screen off when it is held up to your ear and face during a call so a button on the screen is not accidentally selected by a part of your face. When removing the iPhone from your ear and face during a call, there should be no wait for the screen to turn back on - this should be instant - at least it is for me.
    There is no 3rd party app and there will be no 3rd party app that can change or affect such iPhone functions.

  • Help for beginner! Photo gallery

    I have found 2 templates in a free website
    Here is the attachment:
    www56.zippyshare.com/v/98974987/file.html
    The problem I have encountered is that I have no idea in removing the stack gallery after I click the return to main menu button. Maybe you have to spend some time on the logic of the templates. But I really hope you guys can be patient to help.
    Well, to be honest, I have tried whole day finding out the method through google and video tutorials. Fortunately, I think I can handle in loading the stack gallery in the first page. Like using XML codes or loading .swf.
    But still can't remove/unload the gallery after I hit the return button.
    So please generous guys can give me your ideas.

    something like this...not quite working
    function updateSlide() { // load photo, update caption and status fields
    setTimeout(targetPhoto.loadPhoto(photos[currentIndex], 2000);
    caption = captions[currentIndex];
    statusField = (currentIndex+1) + "/" + totalSlides;

    I need your expert advice on a Forms 6i Login Form issue,
    I have spent many miserable days now trying to figure
    it out........
    Is there anyway to bypass the forms logon when a user
    clicks on a custom logon.fmx form that I have created.
    ...I have tried an on-logon trigger that logs in a special
    user but what happens is that user remains logged in and
    the uid/pswd input into the custom login form is ignored.
    I also have tried putting the special user login in the
    start-up properties of an icon created for the login.fmx formbut
    I still get the same result.....what am I doing wrong ?
    Please accept my thanks in advance for your help.

    Product Version: V4.0/V4.5
    Platform: N/A

    Impact: MEDIUM
    Abstract: Methods and examples of customizing the logon behavior for
    Oracle Forms 4.0/4.5
    Keywords: FORMS;LOGON;CONNECT;DATABASE
    Customizing Logon Behavior
    Introduction
    ============
    By default, Oracle Forms will attempt to establish a connection to a
    database when starting up a Runform session. If the connect
    information (username, password, connect string) is not specified as
    parameters to the Runform executable, Oracle Forms will pop up a logon
    window.
    This bulletin details methods of commonly-asked-for customization of
    this logon behavior, including running a form without logging onto a
    database, defaulting the connect string, and creating a custom logon
    window.
    Objective
    =========
    This bulletin will primarily focus on the On-Logon trigger and the
    LOGON built-in. The On-Logon trigger, if defined, replaces the
    default logon behavior of Oracle Forms. Within that trigger, the
    LOGON built-in actually establishes the connection. If called from
    outside the On-Logon trigger, the LOGON built-in calls the On-Logon
    trigger.
    Running Without a Connection
    ============================
    Forms that do not access any data do not require connections to the
    database. By telling Forms not to establish a connection, startup
    time is reduced and the operator will not be prompted for connect
    information. The following On-Logon trigger eliminates logon
    entirely:
    On-Logon (Form Level)
    NULL;
    Small Changes to Default Behavior
    =================================
    Here is an On-Logon trigger which mimics the default behavior of
    Oracle Forms when it performs a connect.
    On-Logon (Form Level)
    DECLARE
    un VARCHAR2(30);
    pw VARCHAR2(30);
    cs VARCHAR2(30);
    upc VARCHAR2(200);
    connected BOOLEAN := FALSE;
    tries NUMBER := 3;
    PROCEDURE get_connect_info IS
    BEGIN
    un := GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY(USERNAME);
    pw := GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY(PASSWORD);
    cs := GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY(CONNECT_STRING);
    END;
    BEGIN
    get_connect_info;
    IF un IS NOT NULL THEN
    LOGON(un, pw||'@'||cs, FALSE);
    IF FORM_SUCCESS THEN /* Successful logon */
    connected := TRUE;
    END IF;
    END IF;
    WHILE connected = FALSE and tries > 0 LOOP
    upc := un||pw||cs;
    LOGON_SCREEN;
    get_connect_info;
    IF upc = un||pw||cs THEN
    EXIT;
    END IF;
    LOGON(un, pw||'@'||cs, FALSE);
    IF FORM_SUCCESS THEN /* Successful logon */
    connected := TRUE;
    END IF;
    tries := tries - 1;
    END LOOP;
    IF NOT connected THEN
    RAISE FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE;
    END IF;
    END;
    Note that the GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY(CONNECT_STRING) will not work
    in versions prior to 4.0.13 of Oracle Forms. In prior versions, the
    connect string is part of the password.
    Small deviations from the default connect behavior can be accomplished
    by modifying this code:
    * To allow more or fewer logon attempts, increase the initial value of
    the counter variable, tries.
    * To default the connect string, change the calls to LOGON from:
    LOGON(un, pw||'@'||cs, FALSE);
    to use a hard-coded connect string:
    LOGON(un, pw||'@<connect string>', FALSE);
    * These lines can also be modified to hardcode username or password.
    Hiding the Logon Information
    ============================
    For security reasons, many customers do not want their users to be
    able to access the database except through the forms. One way to do
    this is to have the form handle connecting to the database, which
    keeps passwords away from the users. In V7, the best way to do this
    is to have the form set role to a privileged role. However, a quick
    and dirty way to do it is to have the form connect to a privileged,
    secret ORACLE account.
    The following On-Logon trigger establishes a connection using
    hard-coded values for username and password. Users will be able to
    connect to the database without knowing the account or password:
    On-Logon (Form Level)
    LOGON('SCOTT','TIGER@T:MYHOST:V716');
    Deferring Logon
    ===============
    Connection can be deferred until later in the Forms processing.
    On-Logon (Form level)
    DECLARE
    un CHAR(30);
    pw CHAR(30);
    cs CHAR(30);
    BEGIN
    DEFAULT_VALUE('N','global.logon_now');
    IF :global.logon_now = 'Y' THEN
    LOGON_SCREEN;
    un := GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY(USERNAME);
    pw := GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY(PASSWORD);
    cs := GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY(CONNECT_STRING);
    LOGON(un, pw||'@'||cs);
    END IF;
    END;
    When the form starts up, it will not try to log on since the flag
    logon_now will be defaulted to N. When you do wish to log onto the
    database, use the syntax:
    :global.logon_now := 'Y';
    LOGON(NULL, NULL);
    This sets the flag to Y and causes the On-Logon trigger to fire, so
    the form connects to the database.
    Customizing the Logon Screen
    ============================
    The built-in LOGON_SCREEN calls up the default Forms logon screen to
    capture the username, password, and connect string. However, you can
    also use a customized logon screen. The following tutorial creates a
    form which can be used as a replacement logon screen from any form.
    NOTE: Coordinate System is assumed to be pixel.
    1. Create a new forms module and change only the following properties:
    Name: LOGON
    Title: LOGON (v4.5)
    2. Modify only the following properties for WINDOW0
    (v4.0, Create this window):
    Name: LOGON_WINDOW
    Width: 126
    Height: 108
    Title: Logon
    Style: Dialog
    Modal: TRUE
    Fixed Size: TRUE
    Iconifiable: FALSE
    Inherit Menu: FALSE
    Zoomable: FALSE
    3. Create a new canvas (v4.0, Modify CANVAS0) and modify only the following
    properties:
    Name: LOGON_CANVAS
    Window: LOGON_WINDOW
    Width: 126
    Height: 108
    4. Modify only the following properties for LOGON_WINDOW:
    View: LOGON_CANVAS
    5. Create a new block and modify only the following properties:
    Block Name: LOGON_BLOCK
    6. Create three text items on canvas LOGON_CANVAS for block LOGON_BLOCK
    with properties as follows:
    Name: USERNAME
    X Position: 12
    Y Position: 8
    Width: 102
    Height: 18
    Name: PASSWORD
    X Position: 12
    Y Position: 31
    Width: 102
    Height: 18
    Secure: TRUE
    Name: CONNECT
    X Position: 12
    Y Position: 54
    Width: 102
    Height: 18
    7. Create two push buttons on canvas LOGON_CANVAS for block LOGON_BLOCK
    with properties as follows:
    Name: LOGON
    X Position: 12
    Y Position: 84
    Width: 52
    Height: 18
    Label: Logon
    Mouse Navigate: FALSE
    Default Button: TRUE
    Name: CANCEL
    X Position: 72
    Y Position: 84
    Width: 52
    Height: 18
    Label: Cancel
    Mouse Navigate: FALSE
    8. Code the following program units:
    PROCEDURE leave(status BOOLEAN DEFAULT TRUE) IS
    BEGIN
    IF status THEN
    :global.logged_on := 'TRUE';
    ELSE
    :global.logged_on := 'FALSE';
    END IF;
    EXIT_FORM;
    END;
    PROCEDURE initialize_form IS
    un VARCHAR2(30) := GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY(USERNAME);
    pw VARCHAR2(30) := GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY(PASSWORD);
    cs VARCHAR2(30) := GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY(CONNECT_STRING);
    BEGIN
    DEFAULT_VALUE('3', 'global.logon_tries');
    DEFAULT_VALUE(un, 'global.username');
    DEFAULT_VALUE(pw, 'global.password');
    DEFAULT_VALUE(cs, 'global.connect_string');
    :logon_block.username := :global.username;
    :logon_block.password := :global.password;
    :logon_block.connect := :global.connect_string;
    END;
    FUNCTION connect_to RETURN BOOLEAN IS
    BEGIN
    IF :logon_block.username IS NULL THEN
    BELL;
    END IF;
    LOGON(:logon_block.username,
    :logon_block.password||'@'||:logon_block.connect, FALSE);
    IF FORM_SUCCESS THEN
    RETURN TRUE;
    ELSE
    RETURN FALSE;
    END IF;
    END;
    9. Code the following triggers:
    On-Logon (Form Level)
    LOGON(:logon_block.username,
    :logon_block.password||'@'||:logon_block.connect,
    FALSE);
    When-New-Form-Instance (Form Level)
    initialize_form;
    When-Button-Pressed (Item Level, on LOGON_BLOCK.CANCEL)
    leave(FALSE);
    When-Button-Pressed (Item Level, on LOGON_BLOCK.LOGON)
    BEGIN
    IF connect_to THEN
    leave(TRUE);
    END IF;
    :global.logon_tries := TO_NUMBER(:global.logon_tries) - 1;
    IF TO_NUMBER(:global.logon_tries) = '0' THEN
    leave(FALSE);
    END IF;
    END;
    When-Window-Activated (Form Level)
    DECLARE
    screen_height NUMBER;
    screen_width NUMBER;
    window_height NUMBER;
    window_width NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    IF :SYSTEM.EVENT_WINDOW = 'LOGON_WINDOW' THEN
    screen_height := GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY(DISPLAY_HEIGHT);
    screen_width := GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY(DISPLAY_WIDTH);
    window_height := GET_WINDOW_PROPERTY(:SYSTEM.EVENT_WINDOW, HEIGHT);
    window_width := GET_WINDOW_PROPERTY(:SYSTEM.EVENT_WINDOW, WIDTH);
    SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY('LOGON_WINDOW', X_POS,
    (screen_width - window_width)/2);
    SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY('LOGON_WINDOW', Y_POS,
    screen_height/2 - window_height);
    END IF;
    END;
    10. Generate and save this form.
    11. Create a new form. This form is an example of how to use the
    logon form that has just been created.
    12. Create a default block, giving this form some items.
    13. Code the On-Logon trigger as follows:
    On-Logon (Form Level)
    CALL_FORM('logon', NO_HIDE);
    IF :global.logged_on != 'TRUE' THEN
    RAISE FORM_TRIGGER_FAILURE;
    END IF;
    This will complete the coding for the main form. When the form now
    requires a connection to the database, it will use this customized
    logon screen instead of the Forms default one.

  • F4 help not working in custom backend service for PD form

    Dear All,
    Iam working with the Create position HCM PD form and i have a requirement to add two fields, one for the company code and the other is for the cost center and then create the relationship betwee the position and the cost center when the form is submitted.
    I have defined a generic service and created an enhancement implementation and linked this generic service to the imppementaion. I have written the logic for the F4 help for the fields in the method GET_HELP_VALUES, i have written the scripting for the drop down field in the form to trigger the F4 help in the form.
    When the cost center is being passed to the screen, i would then read the value of the cost center in the form workflow and create the relationship between S and K in the workflow as i am unable to achiev this in the design time of the PD form.
    But my current problem in that he values are not getting passed from the method to the field on the screen. I have worked on quite a few scenarios for F4 help and doing validations in the implementation in the PA form and i have seen this functionality working fine.
    My problem here is that i am unable to understand why the F4 value help is not working in my form. The standard PD service SAP_PD is also being used in the form to have the dropdown values for the account assignment feature.
    Could you please suggest me with some clues to fix my issue? i can share more details for further analysis.
    Thanks.
    Best regards,
    Sridharan

    Hi Chris,
    Thanks for your inputs. please see my reply to your questions
    First....are you sure you have "marked" that field as possible for F4 help?
    Reply: Yes
    Second...are you populating the help values strictly from that method...ie. not also using do_operations method to do it. If you refer to the documenation, it points out that trying to use both can cause issues.
    Reply: i am using only the GET_HELP_VALUES method and nothing written in do_operations.
    Third...when you debug your method, do you "see" the help values actually populating and as you say "not coming back to the screen"? I would check this first to make sure that there are actually values being found (ie. the logic within your service is correct).
    Reply: i have put the external break-point in this method and when the form in opened for processing by the HR admininstrator,the form openes up and the control is not being sent to the debugger.  I have written the scripting in the exit event of the events and scripts as suggested in the SAP help document. SO when i click on the dropdown field in the form, the debugger starts and executes the method and the code executes, then no values are populated on the screen.
    Fourth...are you using any generic services for populating help values as well. HCM P&F has a nasty habit of "if one GS fails, they all fail" so often, your service might work fine but an error in another makes yours appear to fail as well....hard to debug and find those kind.
    Reply: Yes i am using the generic service mainly for the purpose of F4 help. I do not see any issue with other gneric services as i have implemented a few generic services for PA forms and they are working fine.
    Fifth...oops...forgot the obvious one...make sure it isn't a security issue...ie. make sure you have access to read the cost centers you want.
    Reply: I dont get any auth error in SU53 while i test the process in R3
    Lastly, you said:
    "When the cost center is being passed to the screen, i would then read the value of the cost center in the form workflow and create the relationship between S and K in the workflow as i am unable to achiev this in the design time of the PD form."
    You actually should be able to do this using an Advanced/Enhanced Generic Service (if this is in fact the step at which you want a true update to occur). Just a thought.
    Reply: Could you please give some more information about this, how can i achieve it in advanced generic service.
    Appreciate more thougts from you Chris!
    Thanks,
    Sridharan

  • F4 help for a single field in interactive form

    Hi Experts,
    I am working in HRAS process.I created a Form Scenario and an Adobe Form.  I linked my interactive form in portal using standard Start Processes iView . Now I have to create a value help(F4 help) for 'STATE' field based on 'COUNTRY' field value in adobe form.  I filled the Input value Help in the corresponding Form Scenario field. But in portal the adobe form shows the field as a single field only.
    How I can I attach the manual F4 help to 'COUNTRY' field?
    The how to  vary the F4 help values in 'STATE'  fied based on 'COUNTRY'  field?
    Do I need to code  in Java script for this?
    Please provide some inputs with code sample
    Thanks in advance,

    Lek,

    My mail forms created by muse 2014.0.1.30 do not work. PHP 5.4 is enabled by my hoster, so they should work. Can anyone help me, for these forms are crucial for my business. The forms confirm delivery, but the mails are not recieved. No spam filters enabled.
    Meanwhile, I was able to narrow the problem down: PHP seems not to accept a re-directed mail address as sender of the mail in some cases. So, it has nothing to do with the mail form itself.

    Hi Ingo,
    Please refer to this document, Troubleshooting Muse Form Widgets Used on Third-Party Servers
    Last section, "I've uploaded my new Muse form, and tried submitting it in the browser, but I never receive an email with the form data. What's wrong?"

    There  are two possible form types that you can add to your website.  One is using a 3rd party form provider that, when filed in and sent, goes directly to you.  Expamples of them, JotForm and Wufoo can be seen here: Add Form
    Further down that page is the second type,  Form action forms, that use the visitors email application to send the response.  That may put off responders.  Take a look at both types.
