Help! iphone 5 was run over by a car.There are 2 apps that I REALLY need, to get on my ipad. I was able to sync even though the phone itself won't work, so there should be a backup on my computer. Is this possible? I need the info in the apps.

I kept a journal and my running bank account balance on the iphone. I am really at a loss without these. The journal was also my baby's eat/sleep/etc. log. Please help!!

If these apps are also iPad compatible, you can download them directly. Make sure you are logged into the App Store with the same Apple ID that made the purchase. (Settings > iTunes & App Stores)
On the iPad:
Open App Store > Updates > Purchased

HT201407 iPhone 4 activation and restore errors. Tried everything and the phone still won't work

Woke up this morning and looked at my phone. Found an error message saying "iPhone cannot make or recieve calls, please restore through iTunes". So before restoring it I checked the support website to see if there was anything else I could do before I had no other choice than to restore the phone. Followed everything, found the phone still wouldn't work or recieve signal. I restored the phone and now it wouldn't activate, so called Apple and explained to them. Tried everything I was told, (Call my network, original network provider of phone, restore again, try recovery mode, activating with a different SIM card, absolutely everything) and still the phone wont activate. Apple have bent over backwards for me to try solve this but have had no luck, so if anyone else has experienced this and had any luck fixing it can you please share any info with me as I'm now effectively stuck in a contract without a phone or an option to renew the phone or one to put my SIM card into. iTunes also thinks 6.1.3 is the latest software but I have seen users with 6.1.4
The phone is an iPhone 4 16GB originally locked to Orange UK but has been working fine with a T-mobile UK SIM.
I've spent a couple of hours looking on the Internet and had no luck at all so any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Are there any other errors that you are receiving? The exact error helps. You say it was locked to Orange, did they unlock the device? Or did you do something else to make the device work with the other SIM. There are a number of issues regarding activation, and many deal with trying to activate a device that has been locked to a carrier, hacked to work with another and then locked back when the device is updated. Would any of this pertain to you?

The screen on my iPhone 4 turned black while i was using it-it was not dropped or damaged in anyway. The phone itself is still working as it comes up in itunes when I plug the phone into my computer, but the screen is completley black. What can I do?

The screen on my iPhone has gone black while I was using it. It just "shut off". The phone is still working as I can hear/see it when it plugs into the computer, but the screen just wont turn on. I've tried the soft reset "holding down home and lock screen" and i've tried to restore settings. I went to the apple store and they said I had to send it to my provider (in another country) but my phone contract has run out.
Is there a way to fix this?
If not, is there some way apple can replace the phone? It's less than 2 years old. Surely the screen shouldn't just give out like that.

What is the email for the covent garden apple store (UK), if not apple uk. I am in canada and need to contact THIS store (for an insurance claim) and the phone system won't work for a long distance call.

Speaker works, earbuds work... but phone itself won't work

If i call out or recieve a call on the phone, I can neither hear the other party, nor can they hear me.
If i change to speaker, i can here and they can hear. If i plug in my earbuds with built in speaker, they can hear& so can I. If at any time i go back to "normal" phone mode... ie turn off speaker mode &/or unplug the buds I can't hear & they can't hear. but i still have a connection.
I tried a hard reset, no joy.
odd thing is... if i get a call in, and i plug in the headset.. my ipod is playing.

Sounds like you might have the issue where the iPhone thinks the headset is still plugged in. When this happens, try inserting and removing the headset really quickly a few times.
Do a search in here for that problem, its been listed a few times. Seems the only resolution is bring it to Apple and get your new replacement iPhone....

Iphone alarm doesn't work when the phone is charging but works fine when it is not plugged in, any reason for this?

Recently my alarm hasn't been going off on my phone when it is plugged into the charger. This is a problem as i have work most mornings and have been late. When it is not plugged in the alarm works. I know it would mae sense to charge it before i go to sleep, take it off the charger, set the alarm then wake up but was just wondering if there was any reason why I might be experiencing this issue?

This is something peculiar, normally that doesn't work that way
when did this happen? if it just happened, then something probably went wrong with either the software or the hardware
do charge the proper way, and see if it happens again
or try completely draining the battery, and charge it to 100% and see if its gonna solve the issue with the alarm

Make an appointment at the genius bar. An out of warranty replacement is $199 for an iPhone 4S. The caveat being that the phone has to be more or less intact... If you take them a "bag of parts", they won't offer a discounted replacement.

It worked the first day i had the phone, and then i updated to Ios 8.0.2 and it quit working.
Now when i get in the car, it acts like it is connected and makes the same call it was on after syncing to bluetooth, but it really isn't on a call. This is happening on both cars.

We had the same problem, but figure out the solution.
You MUST have at least 1 song added to your ITUNE! After you add a free song, then everything else should work as normal!

You need to do as provided. If no change after restoring as a new iPhone or not from the backup, the iPhone has a hardware problem.

What you should have done is immediately turn the phone off, then put it in a ziploc bag of dried rice after you wiped all visible moisture off the phone. Leave it in the ziploc bag for 3 ~ 4 days, then turn it on & hope things work OK. It may be too late to try the dry rice trick now, but you can give it a shot if you like.
Apple does have an out of warranty replacement program, cost in the US is $199 for the 4S & $149 for other models.
