Help-menu screen is off centered

I created a DVD in iDVD 7.0.3. Even though my background image and text was centered squarely in the tv safe viewing area, my menu screen shows up off centered (image all way to the left on tv). Granted I do have a widescreen tv. I tried all settings and it still shows off centered. Any suggestions?

I'd try the DVD on your computer and in another DVD player/TV to see if it's a TV setting or an iDVD issue.

My iPad2 screen is 1mm off-centered to the left! Is it normal?

    Not Really.
Try rebooting your iPad.  Press and hold BOTH the home and power buttons at the SAME time for about 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.  You will not lose any data or settings.  See if the screen is normally positioned once it comes back up.
It's possible you have Zoom on.  Go to Settings > General > Accessibility and see if Zoom is on.  If it is, turn it off.

  • Left side of menu screen cut off on tv but not on computer?

i just finished making an imovie that i transferred over to idvd & burned a few dvd's...brought it home & tested it out on the computer & it looks great!
but when i use it in both our tv's (one that is a wide flat screen & one that is more 'standard), the left side of the menu is completely cut off. the video plays ok (although on the flat screen lcd tv, everything is stretched out), but it is just several letters in the title that are cut off.
    any way to fix this?
    thanks!

I didn't see anywhere to set the screen size, so I'm not sure (I used a computer at work to make it) but I have the same problem when playing it on both the widescreen 16:9 and the standard 4:3 tv's in my house, so I wasn't sure if it had to do with that?

  • Re: Screen powers off every 15min on sp10-304

Can anyone help, the screen powers off every 15mins, but the power option is set to never.
I cant access Windows power options where it is set to power off after 15mins
    Mick

Its Satellite Pro, when I try to access Windows power option it goes blank so you cant choose an option and wont let you change any options in power options properties, very odd never had this before

  • Spry Menu Bar jumps off screen-right in CS6

Frustrating little glitch I'm experiencing.  When in a NON-LIVE mode in CS6, I have a Spry Menu Bar that I've placed, customized and is functioning properly.  It is precisely in the right location in BOTH live mode and in a browser preview, however, when I am editing the site the menu bar jumps off screen right to where I have to scroll right to locate it.  The only thing that pops it back in to place is by tweaking a setting like "Float" from right to left then back to right.  But once I begin to edit the site again it will jump off the screen.  This isn't a massive deal since it remains in place in live and preview modes, it's just annoying for layout purposes while I'm editing.  It sort of screws up the aesthetic of the layout.  Has anyone found the same problem?  Below is my layout.css and my Spry Menu css.

  • I have an iPad 2 and all of a sudden I have no sound in game apps. I have usual volume in videos and YouTube, I do get volume for games if I plug in headphones. I have switched to screen lock off and on again and I have also done a reset twice.....help :)

I have an ipad2 and all of a sudden I have stopped getting sound in my game apps. I get normal sound on YouTube and I player and downloaded DVDs. If I plug headphones in then I can get sounds for the games. I have switched the lock screen button off and on again and done a reset twice, can anyone help me with this?

Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

    1. Go to Settings
    2. Tap on General
    3. Tap on Reset
    4. Tap on Reset All Settings

  • While running or when being minimized Firefox disappears off screen and off of menu bar ( bottom bar ) ??

When I am running firefox and minimize it ( or sometimes not even then ) it completely disappears off the screen and off the bottom menu bar, so it is still running but I am unable to see it or access it. If I open it again I would not have all my saved tabs, so the only way I have been able to deal with it so far is to open the task manager and ask it close firefox ( I cannot access the applications tab in task manager either ) then I have to reopen firefox. Needless to say this is annoying and a waste of time. It has happened since the upgrade, in fact, I have had several problems since the upgrade but it is mostly worked around. Since the upgrade it is much slower than before too.

No, I did not hit the x and firefox will still be running when I look up the processes on windows task manager it just is invisible and not on the menu bar. It is a weird problem I have never had happen before. Yeah, what you said about using the alt control and delete to access the task manager process is what I have had to do and I've had to end the process to close it and then open it again.
I would like to find a way to just bring it up again or not have it become invisible. In fact it is invisble on my menu bar right now even though i am typing in it and it is obviously running but the screen of it is visible while it is invisible on the menu bar this time. weird, I know.

  • Help ASAP black background on Menu Screen

hello, this is urgent i need to finish theis dvd by tonight so u quickreplies would help me greatly.
i've just a burnt a dvd and it works all fine apart from everything on the main menu screen is black apart from the highlight of the buttons, although the buttons or drop zones arnt there either. All of the other menus work fine, its just the main one. for the background i have used a jpg and i have used 2 drop zones with video in them, and videos in 5 of the buttons. it all works find when i use the smulator to see what its like, but once i burnt it and put it in my DVD player it will play and everything, but the main menu is all black apart from the button highlights.
any idea?! i simply need to finish this tonight!! plleease!

I mention this workflow because this exact thing has happened to me in the past: a black menu background where only the overlay worked. A rebuild (deleting the old build) worked. As for new location or old, it really doesn't matter, so long as you do a fresh build.
And you don't need to necessarily burn a DVD-R. Open your OS X DVD player and point it to the Build folder (on your hard drive) and if you see your menu correctly, you should be good to go.

Before taking it in to the Apple Store... Try this...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...

  • Help needed - want to skip to the menu screen, using any button!

    hey there -
i'm creating a DVD in DVD Studio Pro 4 - when the DVD is inserted, the viewer is treated to a bunch of trailers and previews - it's set up with the "First Play" option. i have to do it this way, for the client.
obviously, i'd like the viewer to be able to skip that stuff and go straight to the main menu. after all, that would be a pain to go through, again and again, if one wanted to watch the DVD mulitple times.
i want to create the DVD in such a way where the viewer can hit ANY button to skip the initial previews and end up on the Main Menu screen. they should be able to hit the "chapter forward" button, the "menu" button, or any other button. in other words, this should be a very user friendly DVD, for those that want to skip over this stuff.
is this possible? how do i do it? do i need to make a script? it's bugging the heck out of me, and the deadline is coming up way too fast...
    thanks!

i want the user to be able to hit the "next chapter" button, or, ideally, any button; to get to the main menu. again, this is during the 2-minute trailer ad that occurs before the menu.
Place a Chapter Marker at the end of the track and set that to have an action to jump to the menu. (Place it at the very end of the track, and also have the tracks end jump jump to the menu, actually to prevent certain players ffrom blowing through chapter markers, place two chapters at the end, the action for the next to last one jumps to the menu, and also DISABLE all actions at the Marker, then the same for the next one.) You can also make it a story witth Marker 1 & 2 and then set the jump to the menu.
The inspector on the track provides all the main buttons on a remote, but some (like subtitle or fast forward) may not do anything or just behavee like they normally behave with no way of overriding them.
If you set the ones you can in the inspector for the track and then also use the chapters described above, you hit most of the main buttons you can.

Where there is some discussion of some things that cannot be done, particularly relating to subtitle buttons (if Hal and Jake say certain things can't happen in DVD SP, you can be pretty much assured that it can't happen)

  • Menu Screens - Necessary? Customisable?

    Hello Everyone,
As a recent starter on iMovie, I am now trying to burn a DVD of my film and I have a couple of questions I hope you might be able to answer for me...
    1) Can I burn a disc to 'autoplay' without any menu screen - so that it starts and stops having only played the movie?
2)Am I able to customise a menu e.g. I am able to use photoshop, can I create a graphic and use this instead of the selection available?
I would be grateful for your help!

    iDVD 4.01

    Hi Kevin
    1. I think so partly. That iDVD 4 had a block diagram symbol under the theme window.
Select this and in the left upper most box - drop Your movie project
icon. Now it will autostart. You need to put in a black photo in the theme
window and delete all buttons/texts. Now it will end with black.
    2. Yes make Your photo in .jpg and drop it into the theme window or in the
background well and it will fill the window. Turn off Apple loggo if You like
and tidy the design at Your liking.
    Yours Bengt W
