If you are getting nothing but black on your iPhone's display, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
Specifically -
Display has no backlight or dark screen
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.

My iPhone 4 has been fine but I suddenly have a huge problem: when I touch the phone icon, the screen flashes white and then drops straight back to the home screen in an endless loop. No contact list, etc. so I can't initiate texts, though I can receive them and respond to those I receive. The phone rings but I am unable to answer the call or hear the other party.
I tried restarting, not effective. I synced the phone today and it worked for about 30 seconds, then back to no phone screen. What have I done and is there any way to fix it short of reprogramming the phone?
The last calls I made successfully were at work on Friday. I don't remember dropping the phone or anything like that.
I'm not very tech savvy, so it someone knows what to do with this, bear that in mind when you respond. Thank you.Well...if you tried shutting it down and restarting it and that hasn't worked, you might need to visit the Apple Store tomorrow and see what they say. Might need to get it replaced under the warranty.

Accidently drove over Iphone 5. Screen is completely gone but phone works to call out via SIRI. Of course I cannot download to itunes as I have a passcode lock. Would like to save my information, contacts and photos. Any help or ideas would help!!!

So, the other night I lost grip of my iphone and it landed on the street, smashing the phone screen into a couple hundred pieces. Without Roaming there is no service. You need to contact Verizon and determine why there is no service. Most carriers have roaming partnerships with local carriers in other countries. Verizon maybe does not? Or your plan is not setup to automatically Roam?
If Verizon has none, then you will get no service.
If you require phone service without roaming, then you need to get a local Sim card for a local carrier to use.
Note that this sim card will have its own phone number, which will be different to the one you get from Verizon.
Wifi is independent of Roaming or Cell service. You can use Wifi even when there is no Service, assuming there is a Wifi router nearby. -
Help! Screen keeps flipping out!
My screen keeps flipping out and scrolling by itself or clicking on things while I'm trying to scroll. It also spazzes out when I zoom. This has been happening for about a week every now and then. I try turning off my phone and turning it back on but it doesn't help sometimes. What do I do?

Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPhone.
I recommend following these steps for an issue like this (you can skip 4 because it does not relate to the issue you are experiencing and any other steps you may have taken):
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on),reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

i have my daughters iphone 3, i want to use it as an i-pod, but it keeps receiving messages from some her friends is there a way to stop this from happening, please help, my phone is maxed out and would really like the storage for music, thanks
It sounds like it still has her information on it, so it might be efficient to navigate to Settings, then General, then Reset, then Erase All Content and Settings. You can then set up the phone again, using your information. This way the phone will be yours, officially, and her data and information will be removed.

Where is the phone number on the iPod?
If you have an iPhone with iOS and use the same ID for Messages and FaceTime as on the iPod the iPhone's phone number will be listed for Messages and FaceTime on the iPod.
If you changed phone numbers on the iPhone, sign out of Messages and FaceTime and then sing back in. Then do the same a little while later on the iPod.

Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.
Take it to Apple for evaluation and a replacement. -
my safari screen is greyed out, I checked and found a response to this question. I went to settings and cleared history, cookies, and cache, java script is on and I restarted, screen is still grey, cant touch it to do a thing. Help!
That is usually the fix but try this now.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. See if that helps.
You can also try this - quit Safari. From the home screen - Double tap the home button and your recent apps appear the bottom. Tap and hold down on the Safari icon until it wiggles. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the app. Tap the home button twice. Restart the iPad.

Since I downloaded the newest update, my phone only rings or makes text sounds about 10% of the time. It can be sitting in front of me and a call or text comes in. No sound, just a msg on the screen. Anyone out there having that problem? It's not a problem in the settings as I set the rings and tones I want. The rare one comes thru with sound. I never had any problems before update.
No, sounds like when you dropped it an cracked the screen it may have also damaged the logic board or the repair person damaged a cable.

Try resetting by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.
