  • Help with adding image onclick

    Hey everyone,
    I am making a simple game in AS3 and need help with adding an image once they have click on something.
    On the left of the screen are sentences and on the right an image of a form. When they click each sentence on the left, writing appears on the form. Its very simple. With this said, what I would like to do is once the user click one of the sentences on the left, I would like a checkmark image to appear over the sentence so they know they have already clicked on it.
    How would I go about adding this to my code?
    var fields:Array = new Array();
    one_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick1a);
    one_btn.buttonMode = true;
    function onClick1a(event:MouseEvent):void
        fields.push(new one_form());
        fields[fields.length-1].x = 141;
        fields[fields.length-1].y = -85;
        this.addChild(fields[fields.length-1]);
        one_btn.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick1a);
        one_btn.buttonMode = false;
        //gotoAndStop("one")
    two_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick2a);
    two_btn.buttonMode = true;
    function onClick2a(event:MouseEvent):void
        fields.push(new two_form());
        fields[fields.length-1].x = 343.25;
        fields[fields.length-1].y = -85;
        this.addChild(fields[fields.length-1]);
        two_btn.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick2a);
        two_btn.buttonMode = false;
        //gotoAndStop("two")

    I don't know where you're positioning the button that should enable/disable the checkbox but for "one_btn" let's just say it's at position: x=100, y=200. Say you'd want the checkbox to be to the left of it, so the checkbox would be displayed at: x=50, y=200. Also say you have a checkbox graphic in your library, exported for actionscript with the name "CheckBoxGraphic".
    Using your code with some sprinkles:
    // I'd turn this into a sprite but we'll use the default, MovieClip
    var _checkBox:MovieClip = new CheckBoxGraphic();
    // add to display list but hide
    _checkBox.visible = false;
    // just for optimization
    _checkBox.mouseEnabled = false;
    _checkBox.cacheAsBitmap = true;
    // adding it early so make sure the forms loaded don't overlap the
    // checkbox or it will cover it, otherwise swapping of depths is needed
    addChild(_checkBox);
    // I'll use a flag (a reference for this) to know what button is currently pushed
    var _currentButton:Object;
    one_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick1a);
    one_btn.buttonMode = true;
    function onClick1a(event:MouseEvent):void
         // Check if this button is currently the pressed button
         if (_currentButton == one_btn)
              // disable checkbox, remove form
              _checkBox.visible = false;
              // form should be last added to fields array, remove
              removeChild(fields[fields.length - 1]);
              fields.pop();
              // clear any reference to this button
              _currentButton = null;
         else
              // enable checkbox
              _checkBox.visible = true;
              _checkBox.x = 50;
              _checkBox.y = 200;
              // add form
              fields.push(new one_form());
              fields[fields.length-1].x = 141;
              fields[fields.length-1].y = -85;
              this.addChild(fields[fields.length-1]);
              // save this button as last clicked
              _currentButton = one_btn;
         // not sure what this is
        //gotoAndStop("one")
    I'd also centralize all the click handlers into a single handler and use the buttons name to branch on what to do, but that's a different discussion. Just see if this makes sense to you.
    The jist is a graphic of a checkbox that is a MovieClip symbol in your library exported to actionscript with the class name CheckBoxGraphic() is created and added to the display list.
    I made a variable that points itself to the last clicked button, when the "on" state is desired. If I detect the last clicked button was this button, I remove the form I added and the checkbox. If the last clicked button is not this button, I enable and position the checkbox as well as add the form.
    What is left to do is handle the sitation where multiple buttons are on the screen. When a new button is pushed it should remove anything the previous button added. This code simply demonstrates clicking the same button multiple times to toggle it "on and off".

    You can use setBorder() method which Box inherits from JComponent...
    check the API for Box for further information, namely the "Methods inherited from class javax.swing.JComponent" part...

We simply want to be able to click on the button and go to another site (the client's Facebook page specifically). Can anyone provide some insight? Thanks!

    I lost all my pictures! Please help:( I added all my photo to a new album from the camera roll and i delete the picture that already move to new album, at last all my picture was gone !:'( Please, anyway to recover back all my photo? please help :'( Apple Service Center or Branch can help?

    Albums is a way or sorting photos. Photos aren't moved from the Camera roll. The Camera Roll consists of all the photos on the phone. If you delete from Camera Roll they are deleted everywhere but Photo Stream.
    Are you using Photo Stream? Your photos, providing they wer recent should still be in Photo Stream. If you have Photo Stream set up on your computer they should all be there.

    Please do send replies ASAP, its very urgent.
    Or else atleast suggest me the other ways of doing this .

  • Dynamicaly adding components to panel/grid

    I am trying to add components dynamically in panelgrid but it is displaying nothing.in jsp tag is
    <h:panelGrid id = "ExpenseDetail" binding = "#{expenses.component}" />
    tand his is what i am doing in backing bean.
    public HtmlPanelGrid getComponent()
    FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    Application application = facesContext.getApplication();
    component = new HtmlPanelGrid();
    component.getChildren().clear();
    component.setBorder(1);
    component.setColumns(1);
    component.setStyleClass("browsetabletype2");
    component.setWidth("90%");
    UIOutput outText = (UIOutput)application.createComponent("javax.faces.HtmlOutputText");
              outText.setValue("Name");
              outText.setId("Name");
              component.getChildren().add(outText);
    return component;
    }

    What about setter of your binded component ?
    Try this
            private HtmlPanelGrid dynamicPanel = null;
         public HtmlPanelGrid getDynamicPanel {
              if (this.dynamicPanel == null) {
                   // this will happen the first time the HtmlPanelGrid is retrieved
                   this.dynamicPanel = new HtmlPanelGrid();
              try {
                   generatePanel(this.dynamicPanel);
              } catch (Exception e) {
                   e.printStackTrace();
              return dynamicPanel;
         public void setDynamicPanel(HtmlPanelGrid dynamicPanel) {
              try {
                   generatePanel(dynamicPanel);
              } catch (Exception e) {
                   e.printStackTrace();
              this.dynamicPanel = dynamicPanel;
           private void generatePanel(HtmlPanelGrid dynamicPanel){
                    dynamicPanel.getChildren().clear();
              dynamicPanel.setId("dynamicPanel_1");
                    //adding other attributes and children ...
            } I always use this method, and it works. Maybe there is more sophisticated way, but I didn't managed to find it. Hope it helps.

    Hi,
    Can someone help me in adding multiple email address/mailing list in the email subscription for interactive reports in Apex 4.
    pls mail me at [email protected]
    Regards,

    The doc does not mention a separator for the email addresses because we only support one email address per subscription. I have logged a task for our next release to look at expanding it and allowing multiple.

  • Help with adding new song to 2007 iPod shuffle

    I have an iPod shuffle from 2007 and just recently went to add new songs to it.  Itunes program keeps telling me I have to erase everything and reload w/ new playlist I've added??  Confused, don't remember it working like this last year when I added songs.  Any help??

    With the 1st and 2nd gen iPod shuffle, it can only be associated with one iTunes library at a time.  That has always been the design.  It is basically like a mobile playlist for iTunes the library.  The 3rd and 4th gen shuffles work more like the "bigger" iPods that have a screen, which is different from the very simple 1st and 2nd gen.
    If you previously used this shuffle with a different iTunes library, iTunes is asking if you want to associate the shuffle with the iTunes library you are now using.
    Any help??
    What do you want to do...?

  • Adding Components to a JPanel not working correctly

    I'm trying to build a JFrame that contains a parent JPanel that will hold a JPanel used to display a message view, a vertical strut and a JPanel that holds VCR-like buttons to cycle through the messages.
    My parent JPanel uses a BorderLayout and the Border is a TitledBorder which tells which product you are viewing (i.e., Message 1 of 5). I build the message JPanel, vertical strut and button JPanel and add them all in order to the parent JPanel which then gets added to the rootContentPane of the JFrame. All that appears is the parent JPanel's TitledBorder, the strut and the button JPanel. Using JSwat, I've been able to determine that the message JPanel has 0 for both its height and width after adding the message components to the JPanel.
    I create the message JPanel with a BorderLayout and an OvalBorder as copied from Manning Press's Swing book (which works fine in other JFrames that I have built), then add other components as necessary to the individual messages (mostly items around the edges with a central display for the actual message). What I can't figure out is why the height and width of the message JPanel isn't growing as I add components.
    I had previously used the same code to display a single message (minus the parent JPanel, strut and button JPanel) where I added the border panels (northPanel, eastPanel, southPanel and westPanel) created in createMsgPanel() directly to the contentPane and it worked perfectly, so I know that the code that adds the message works fine. Then, the requirements changed (go figure) and I had to display multiple messages from the same screen.
    Here's what I've got:
    public class Layout
                 extends JFrame
                 implements ActionListener
       private MissionData missionData;
       private JPanel messagePanel = null;
       private int index = 0;

    That's all well and good, but I've had more times that not where
    people want the entire program, not bits and pieces.Then you missed the whole point of that link.
    We don't want to see bits and pieces of code. We want to see an executable program, but we want an executable program the demonstrates the incorrect behaviour without all the unnecessary code. 90% of the code you posted was not related to your problem. That is we what you do to some basic debugging and remove the parts of code that are not related to the problem so we can concentrate on the code that is related to the problem.

  • Sales order cancelled and new sales order with added components

    Hi all,
    There is a MTO scenario.Lets say a product X was to be made .Now when the production was complete,the sales order got cancelled and a new sales order was generated for same product with 2 new components to be added,lets say A and B.
    So now i have to use the finished good x and new components A and B for the new sales order.How will the costing of new product be done and how do i maintain the BOM?

    Dear,
    You have to create the new material code for your new product as it is having two new components. For that new product say Y you need to add the X, A and B.
    As you have already manufactured the X so system will not create any procurement proposal for it and you can consume the X while manufacturing the Y and it cost also get capture to the Y. This is standard Practice.
    Hope clear to you.
