Help on how to make a stop sound

Question

i have a little problem, i am creating a web page and my problem here is that on my intro part or home part there is a sound playing
but if i will go to other pages the sound should stop playing.
can anyone help me how to do this..

if you're using actionscript to create your sound, you should assign a soundchannel using your sound's play() method:
var sc:SoundChannel=yoursound.play();
you can then apply stop() to sc,
sc.stop();
to stop your sound.
or, if you're sloppy and just want a quick fix, you can use:
SoundMixer.stopAll();
