No computer can do a thing without using memory. 1.5 GB is very little. It's normal.
3 or so hours from a full charge may also be normal, for what you are doing. As batteries age, they don't last as long on a full charge as they did when they were new. All batteries eventually wear out, and are easily replaceable.

I have the Numbers-applications on both Mac mini and Macbook Air. My problem is that they don't sync so when I create a Numbers-file on the MacBook while travelling, it will not be on my Mac mini when I get home :(((

I would first check to make sure that you meet the system requirements for OS X to support Documents in the Cloud. For that your Mac’s needs to be running at least OS X Lion 10.7.5 or later to make sure that everything syncs. Take a look at the article below for more information.

Hi I Pant,
The idea that crossed my mind was to tie each of the lines coming from/going to "your device" to two of the DIO lines. Configure one these two ports as input, the other as output.
When you want to read the state of the line, read from the line configured as input. Similarly, use the other port when it is time to write.
Provided "your device" uses tri-state drivers/receivers, or can be used in a "wired-OR" configuration, this may work.

I bought a used MacBook Air that came with an administrator password, and someone's name in the upper right corner, and I cannot change it. He didn't have the password either.
Here's how to reset the password. Once in, I would reload Lion and start fresh.

Help! Used Macbook Air, internet recovery problem
I should start out by saying that I'm completely new to Apple (well I haven't used it in over 10 years).
Anyway, I bought a Macbook Air and just received it today; it was running on Mavericks and I was planning on doing the update. I was looking around and things were going fine until I tried to change the computer password. Of course, it asked for the old password so I could create a new one. However, rather than doing the smart thing and contacting the seller and seeing about borrowing their password so I could change it, I took to Google. The response I kept getting about changing passwords was wipe the hard drive. Now I'm realizing this was not a good idea... at all. I did this and it came back with a flashing folder with a question mark in it. So, again Google told me to hold command + R upon restart which would start internet recovery. It's done it, but now when it asks me to install the update (Lion!) it keeps saying 'temporarily unavailable.' I really don't know what to do or think other than I'm screwed. Can anybody please help me? I really don't want to have to go to the Apple store or return it, but I'd really appreciate help if anyone has suggestions. Thank you.Nope. When Internet Recovery finishes booting, and I try to reinstall, it pops up wih "This copy of Install Mac OS X Lion is damaged, and can't be used to install Mac OS X".

I dunno the old apple id too so am not able to install the i life'11. Will this problem be solved by installing a fresh OS or will it be of no use. And i dunno the condition of the macbook either....if it's stolen or pawned..:( Please help
If new versions of iPhoto and the other iLife applications (iMovie and GarageBand) were purchased by the previous owner from the Mac App Store, then they will be locked to the previous owner's Apple ID and cannot be transferred to you. You will have to re-purchase them under your own Apple ID.
If this is an older MBA that came with Snow Leopard or an earlier version of Mac OS X, though, the system would have come with an installation disk that included the iLife applications, a disk which the seller should have provided to you. Those iLife applications would be older versions, of course, and may or may not work in Lion depending on how old they are.
