Help: pixels and   .jpg/.gif   file

ok... I want to create a picture file pixel by fixel...
import be.ac.rug.twi.util.TextReader;
class Example
System.out.println("Give a number");
int number = TextReader.in.readInt();
int[][] matrix = new int[10][10]
for (int i=0; i < 10; i++)
for (int j=0; i < 10; j++)
if (number == 1)
//put one pixel on the the matrix (on position i,j)
number = TextReader.in.readInt();
so, I just want to create a picture that has a size 10 X 10...
a) Is this possible in Java... so it makes a picture file that I can open with paint or PSP7 of whatever...
b) If so, then can you apply your knowlige on this little program... also the inport files...
c) is there a better way to print a enourmous matrix on the screen ???

  • Cannot edit JPG, GIF files stored in a SharePoint 2010 picture library

    Created a SharePoint 2010 picture library to store .jpg, .gif images along with other types of images which were created using Adobe photoshop, Tiff etc.
    Upon clicking on the .jpg, .gif files for editing purposes, they open in the browser instead of Photoshop so I cannot edit these files for this reason. Other types of image files are editable but not the jpg, gif files. File associations are already
    in place for these files to open in Photoshop. Please advise.
    Thank you,
    Mahesh

    You can change the default application that opens while you click open document using DocIcon.xml which is present on the web front ends. Please look at this link which explains what you need to update in order to take care of your requirement.

  • Activation of links to embedded ".kmz" and "Animated GIF" files.

    I recently upgraded from Adobe Acrobat Pro X to Adobe Acrobat  Pro XI and noticed a slight difference on how documents linked in an Adobe Acrobat File are activated for display.
    I have placed files I want to display in my Adobe Acrobat file as file attachments.  I then link to those files, so that the user can click on an icon area within the document and open the file in a new window.
    After a little effort, I was able to make the correct links to .pdf file attachments, but ran into problems linking to and displaying files that utilize external applications to view the file.  If I was able to convert this file to a .pdf file, I could open it with no problem.
    However, I am having trouble linking the following file types for display from file attachments already embedded in the Adobe Acrobat document file.
    They are...Portable Network Graphic (PNG), Animated Graphic Interchange Format (GIF), and Keyhole Mark-up Language - Zipped (.KMZ)  and Microsoft Word (PPT) files.
    The .pdf file was originally convered from a Microsoft Word file in which all of the links worked fine.
    I thought I had the problem solved in Adobe Acrobat Pro X, but cannot seem to open the same files iin Adobe Acrobat Pro XI.
    Would appreciate some guidance.

    Thank you for your offer, I do appreciae it.  But I think the better question to ask at this point is :  What is the last version of Photoshop Elements that supports editing animated gif files.  This is too important to me to lose this ability and after checking further I see CS4 is out of my price and needed features range. I would rather hang on to my old laptop to manipulate photos than lose the ability to edit my .gif files.
    Can anybody help with this question?

  • Applet Plug-in and Caching GIF files

    In the Plug-in 1.4 release notes, it says that the Plug-in will cache GIF files and other non-JAR files. Are there instructions or documentation how to get the Plug-in to cache files other than JAR files? I couldn't find anything when perusing the 1.4 documentation.
    Thanks for any insight you can provide!

    The document you point to explains caching JAR files in 1.3. Can I also cahce GIF files the same way? Does the plug-in caching mechanism work with any file type? If I cache a GIF file, how to I reference that in my code so the Applet uses the cached version instead of the one on the server, or does it implicitly know this?
    Thanks for any insight.

  • How to resize a jpg/gif file to a fix size using jimi ?

    I have search from the web and didn't find any example on doing this.
    Can any one give example on how to resize a jpg image. let say 120x240
    to a fixed size 40x40 ?
    thank you

    Hi.
    When you got that image in form of a file, just load it and invoke the image's getScaledInstance(...)-method.
    Here's how it could work:
    import java.awt.*;
    public class Test {
    public static void main(String[] argv) {
      // define where the image comes from:
      URL toImage = new URL("file:/C:/test.jpg");  // or the like
      // get the image:
      Image image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().createImage(toImage);
      // scale the image to target size (40x40 here):
      Image smallImage = image.getScaledInstance(40, 40, Image.SCALE_DEFAULT);
      // you might want to do other things like displaying it afterwards
    }HTH & cheers,

  • Help with place a gif file

    Hi All:
    I placeed the picture http://www.cooldtp.cn/bbs/files/image004_202.gif
    into my document in Indesign CS3, but I found that the font color on
    the current page became darker after I placed it, how to resolve this?
    Thanks in advance.

    DO you mean the image was darker, or text it interacts with? If the latter, it's the result of flattening. The text has been converted to outlines when printing or exporting and loses the effect of hinting, which lets text look better at small sizes or at low resolutions. Try moving the text to the top or removing transparency from the image.
    GIF is a poor choice for image format for InDesign. Better to use non-indexed TIF or PSD.

  • The .jpg/gif file can not be shown in disassociated installation enviroment

    I did a disassociated installation: Use IIS.0 as webserver on a win2003; Install content server on linux.
    Login using IE; Use trays as the layout, when click the hyper link of centent ID which native file is a jpg image, screen keeps no change.
    But If I change the layout to Topmenus or classisc, the image can be directly show in IE.
    Anyone knows about this issue? Thanks!

  • Need help playing and Editing F4V files

    We recently started streaming our church services using FME. Our streaming works fine, however we can not read our recorded files. Does any one know of any tool that will read these files?

    Use the F4VPP tool to flatten the file before you can view it in Flash Media Player or Quicktime or VLC.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/tool_downloads/
    I also heard you can edit the files with Quicktime Pro (top and tail) simply rename them .mp4 and rename back when done.

  • Incredible 2 duplicate pictures and jpgs happen automatically...

    First, I previously had an HTC Droid Eris and when I'd hook it to my laptop to download pics, it'd recognize which pics were already downloaded to my lptop, even if the new download was going to a different folder. I never had any issues with duplicate pics in the phone.
    Since day 1 with the Incredible 2, I've had a few issues that I can't figure out how to solve.
    1) When I hook the phone to the laptop to download pics, every time I do so, it downloads EVERY pic on my phone, even if that pic has been downloaded previously.
    2) The phone makes multiple copies of any pic I take then view on my phone. It has a copy of the actual pic taken AND a smaller sized file of the identical pic if I've used my phone to view it after taking it. If it is a pic that my kids or I view more than once, I could have 10 copies of the same pic, but only one is a usable file. The rest are all tiny copies. This means I have to, after downloading, go through all the files in a folder and waste time deleting all of the duplicates. Sometimes, this can be 1000 extraneous files!
    3) When I download the files, I also end up downloading all of the jpg & gif files that my phone, for some reason, automatically saves from people's Facebook profile pics or any Foursquare profile pics and location icons.
    I have tried so many times to figure out what settings to change to fix these issues.
    At least once a week, I search online to see if there is a solution, but haven't been able to locate the solution.
    Anyone out there have any suggestions?
    Thanks so much!

    Can someone explain how this can happen.
    Since we haven't been looking over your shoulder, it is doubtful we can come up with an explanation.
    Also, how can I easily erase the duplicates and just keep the one with the bigger file size.
    The key word is "easily". There is no easy way to do this.
    Some people use the Similarity function in PSE to find "similar" photos. Your mileage may vary. You still have to delete photos pretty much one by one.

  • How to create a par file that includes an image and a .swf file

    Hi everyone,
    I have a requirement to create a <b>.par file which will contain a .swf file and a .gif file</b>.
    Can anyone please tell me the steps to do so.
    Thanks in advance

    Thanks Ranjeet for the quick reply.
    I have created a portal project and placed the .swf file and the .gif file in the images folder and deployed it to the server. I downloaded the .par file and chked that it contained the .swf and .gif files. But when i run the application it <b>does not show me the .swf file</b> . An icon with a cross mark appears instead. I have flash player installed on my PC .The .gif file when run works fine but not the .swf file.
    Can anyone tell me a workaround for this ?

  • GIF file shows up fuzzy and pixelated on Dreamweaver

    I am trying to load a GIF file in Dreamweaver. I am saving it on Photoshop as an Unnamed GIF file with no dither, no transparency, and 128 colors. When I load the file onto Dreamweaver, it shows up fuzzy and pixelated. I know I am not stretching the image in dreamweaver, and I have saved the file as a PNG also and I get the same result. I think I am saving the file the wrong way but I am not sure what to do. I have an example of what the logo looks like on Dreamweaver.  Any suggestions?

    Image attachments tend to get lost in the Adobe queue forever.  Best to show us a URL to your page and image so we can look at the properties.  Or use the camera icon to insert your web image directly into your message.
    Dreamweaver rendering isn't what counts.  It's how your image looks in the major browsers.
    Did you convert CMYK to RGB?  Browsers don't support CMYK. Possibly gif isn't the right file type for your image.  Did you try saving for web as an optimized jpg?

  • Jpg and gif files not showing up on recipient's email

    When I attach photos on an email sent from whichever email address through my Mail Application (the one that comes with all Mac OS), sometimes people using AOL or other mail servers don't even see the files. Usually, I think all the problems are with jpg, pdf, and gif files and not .doc files or any text files. they seem to see the text files without any problems. So then Im forced to go to my gmail through safari and attach one by one. Honestly, I find the click and drag en masse of the files I want as attachments much easier, but I want to know how and what is the reason that some servers continuously cannot see my files. Sometimes they see the files as I attach them, meaning as photos on the actual email. And they get confused and don't know how to download them because they say that on the email application they use (gmail for example) there is nowhere where it says download attachments. What is going on and what can I do on my mail application to change this. its really frustrating because my work makes me email lots of photos and sometimes this problem is extremely cumbersome and annoying

    Some email readers have trouble with enclosures (particularly graphics) from within an email that is formatted as Rich Text. If you format your mail as Plain Text (see the Format menu) then I expect they will see the enclosures.
