Help regarding a new enhancement

Hi,
We got a new requirement stating that we need to have a link in user interface .So that when the manager clicks on that links we should display the users details like firstname,lastname,email for whom he is the manager in a table format.
Can someone guide me how to approach this.

I suggest you create a custom Tabbed User form that could be assigned to managers.
You could create a copy of the existing one and start tinkering from there.

1. get the developement class of the tcode from SE93.
2. Now goto transaction SMOD and press F4,
3. give in the Deve class in the dev class and Press ENTER

Customer exits are implemented in Z-includes and are ENHANCEMENTS to the system.
User-exits were firstly intended to be developed for the SD module. You make your coding in includes in SAP namespace
(e.g MV*). That's why, user exits are MODIFICATIONS to the system. In includes for user exits there are empty subroutines
( generally with the name convention "userexit_...") and you code using global variables of the main program.
But, generally developers use these terms without this distinction. So, someone may mean a "customer exit" when (s)he says
"user exit" or vice-versa.

All ABAP sources, screens, GUIs, and table interfaces created using this enhancement technique are defined in a manner

The actual program code is enhanced using ABAP Objects. In order to better understand the programming techniques behind

Need Help to create new screen for RF Sapconsole

Hi Guru's
I'm new on RF (but some years in ABAP) since last week.
I need help to create new screens for RF (SAPLLMOB).
Can someone explain me the procedure to create screen (with ABAP code after) or perhaps someone have an exemple (simple or not) ?
I have to develop 2 new screens with really few time.
And, another subsidiary question :
how SAP can transfert information between the flash gun and the screen i have developped.
Is there some code to add to enable this functionality or it is include in SAPLLMOB on standard fields ????

Need help regarding Java decoding of IMAP attachment (IOStream related ques

I need some help regarding the processing of an IMAP attachment , It is a basic IOStream related question I guess.
I have some attachment to a mail , I try to fetch it using javamail and read the content and write it to a file , I was able to do it successfully when I was using stream.read( tempBuffer) function but when I started using stream.read( tempBuffer, 0, m_maxDataSize ); it is giving me following exception
java.io.IOException: Error in encoded stream: needed at least 2 valid base64 characters, but only got 1 before padding character (=), the 10 most recent characters were: "/59PT/eXQ="
     at com.sun.mail.util.BASE64DecoderStream.decode(BASE64DecoderStream.java:259)

Cannot Create a New Enhancement with SMOD

Hi Gurus,
I can't find any buttons/functions to create a new enhancement in SMOD, ECC 6. Does SAP disallow people to create new a new enhancement in ECC 6.0?

Enhancement are nothing but Badi ( Other way round ) if you want to add a Enhancement in your Code try and implement a Custom Badi ...and then have as many implimentation for the badi...!

Need HELP regarding installinfg CR2008/Visual Advantage

I need help regarding installing CR2008/Visual Advantage. I had the evaluation copy of cr2008. My compnay purchased the CR2008 Visual Advantage. Upon calling your customer service, I was told that I had to UN-install the CR2008 evaluation copy then install the CR2008. I did the unstall HOWEVER, when I try to install the CR2008 that we purchased, i get the following error..HR
HR -2147024770-"c:\program files\business objects enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\REPORTCONVTOOL.DLL FAILED TO REGISTER"..
I get more that just that one...I have received this before and based upon this formum, i have delted the regristry in the following using regedit.exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BUSINESS OBJECT ;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\BUSINESS OBJECTS..
Afeter i deleted the keys, I re-boot my pc and try to install the coftware again...BUT I GET THE SAME ERRORS...I have tryied this several times....what am i missing/not doing correctly

Actually you were on the right track, i think you just have to increase PSAPTEMP a bit and you will be fine. 358 MB seems just too small, i suggest you increase it to at least 2GB.
1. what will be the difference in use of PSAPUNDO and PSAPTEMP while copy is running. ( i.e. what will be entered in PSAPUNDO and what will be filled in PSAPTEMP.)
PSAPTEMP: is needed for large sort operations, as mentioned when you have a select with an ORDER BY clause, or if you do join two tables. During the client copy some sorting might be needed for special tables (cluster tables) where data is stored sorted.
PSAPUNDO: undo space is only needed for DML (data manipulation), if data is changed undo is generated. This obviously is heavily the case during a client copy.
2. the target client already has a copy taken 1 month before. so I think while importing it first delete existing data and then copies the new one.
So If I first delete the target client and then take import on it; will it have advantage in regards of getiing UNDO or TEMP segments getting filled ?
Deleting the client first might help for the undo problem, but you already solved that. I cannot imagine, it will help for the PSAPTEMP issue. As i said i would just increase PSAPTEMP and restart the copy.
One more add: if you are doing the client copy with parallel processes, this will influence your requirements on temp and undo space, because of the concurrently running processes.

Need help regarding converting text to Lines and Arcs.

In my program i have text.Lets say the text is JAVA.
Now i need to group that text(JAVA) in the form of line and arcs.
Its like organizing lines and arcs and make it looks like a text(JAVA).
Can we have such a possibilities to do that?

Need help regarding the dunning form

Hi,
I have to display all the sales and payments of a cusomter for all the periods that are older than the run date in a dunning form. (i.e) if the run date is 04-aug-05 and if the slaes are there in 3 months(april, May, july) then i have to display three line items with sales and payments for that corresponding three months in the line items. As this is a dunning form i cannot change the print program. any table which have all the sales for a period which i can access directly in the script. can anyone suggest how to handle this.

TO BESPOKE THE PRINT PROGRAM FOR THE DUNNING
Dunning outputs use the function module FI_DUNNING_PRINT_NOTICE. You can copy this to a Z function module and make some changes to the data selection. You will have to look into the code and decide what changes you need.
The process to use a bespoke program to do the dunning print is as follows:
UNDER FI GLOBAL SETTINGS in the configuration,
There are Business Transaction Events. Within that you can configure the same to enable a Z function module in place of the standard function module (from the FUNCTION GROUP F150)
Create function group ZFTP_F150
Copy standard function module FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE of function group F150 to ZFTP_FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE in function group ZFTP_F150
Copy standard function module PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE of function group F150 to ZFTP_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE in function group ZFTP_F150
Within the function module ZFTP_FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE, change function module call for PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE to ZFTP_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE
Create a new include ZFTPI_ROUTINES within the function group and copy the subroutines LOG_MSG, LOG_MSG_TAB, & LOG_SYMSG from the function group F150 to this include
AS AN ALTERNATE, YOU CAN COPY THE WHOLE FUNCTION GROUP
Maintenance view TBE31 (SM30). Change the function module from FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE to ZFTP_FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE against the event 00001720 FI-FI entry

1) The right_column should have round corners at bottom
2) The heading text in product-list boxes should have the same space on left and right.
On My Account
1) The two boxes i.e. "I am new customer" and "Returning Customer" should have same width and height
2) In the every textfiled give some text caption e.g for E-mail address textfiled the textfied should have text "Enter your email address"
On My Cart
1) Footer is moved up about 63px. So make sure footer should not have space under it if there is no content in mid of your page.
Whenever you make html there should be MAIN CONTAINER (width:960px;) in which all your div code should be placed.

Regarding Generate New Database Job

Dear All,
I have a query regarding Generate New Database job while extracting Local DB to developers.
I got a request from multiple developers to extract Local DB for them. Do I have to run the Generate Database Job multiple times or is it enought if I run it once and then continue with DB extract Job for all the users?
Please help me out on this query?

"The Generate New Database component creates the local database template for a given database schema version. The component reads the database schema definition from the Siebel repository, then creates Siebel tables and indexes in a database template file stored on the Siebel Remote server in the dbtempl subdirectory."
Basically after any changes in schema you should run "Generate New Database" job again. That was the reason why I mentioned about generating it again.

+Need a little Help with my new xfi titanium< A few questions here.
st question? Im using opt out port on the xfi ti. card and using digital li've on a windows 7 64 bit system,? I would like to know why when i use 5. or 7. and i check to make sure each speakear is working the rear speakers wont sound off but the sr and sl will in replace of the rear speakers. I did a test tone on my sony amp and the speaker are wired correctly becasue the rear speakers and the surrond? left and right sound off when they suppose too. Also when i try to click on? the sl and sr in the sound blaster control panel they dont work but if i click on the rear speakers in the control panel the sl and sr sound off. Do anyone know how i can fix this? So i would like to know why my sl and sr act like rears when they are not?
2nd question? How do i control the volume from my keyboard or from windows period when using opt out i was able to do so with my on board? sound max audio using spidf? Now i can only control the audio using the sony receiver.

I do have a sony 7. reciever str de-995 its an older one but its only for my cpu. At first i didnt even have THX installed because it didnt come with the driver package for some reason until i downloaded the daniel_k support drivers and installed it. But it doesnt help in anyway.
I have checked every where regarding the first question and alot of people are having problems getting sound out of there rear channels and the sound being re-mapped to the surround right and the surround left as if there rear left and rear right.
I read somewhere that the daniel_k support drivers would fix this but it didnt for me and many others.
For the second question i assumed it would be becasue of the spidf pass through and that my onboard sound card was inferior to the xfi titaniums. But i wasnt sure and i was hopeing that someone would have a solution for that problem because i miss controlling the volume with my keyboard.
