Help : Regarding text object

Hi All,
Scenario :
We have text object in XK02 transaction. at the time of save in user exit i want to check the changes occured in the text of that text object. can you please suggest how to get value of text object before saving. bcoz using FM READ_TEXT i am getting the newer value of text object, but i want to get old value (before change).
Please suggest your thought.

check the triggering point of your user exit.
make sure to use a exit/BADI which triggers right after you press 'SAVE'

Regarding text objects' description

Hello,
We created a text object in SE75 transaction and also created 2 text-IDs for the same.
When we tried to maintain a description for the text object and IDs in the logon langauge (EN) and attached
them to the transport request and subsequently released it, we found that the descriptions for the text object
and the IDs did not reach the target system.
Can anyone please give us an indication of what the problem might be?

Have you checked the contents of the transport? Have you reviewed the transport history via STMS or via the log in SE09/SE10? What do these tools say happened?

Need help regarding Value Object Concept in flex/java

I need to map the java objects to flex use value objects in flex.
The problem is I have a class in java which is referring to another class and again that class referring another class.
For instance
Class A
protected User user;
Class User
protected Address address;
Now I need to map class A to the flex using value object concept and I have to display the user info in the grid as well.
Need some help to get started.

I have a question regarding the domain object. I have a form where there some multiple entries for some fields . The domain object is return mapping to the database fields. How should the domain object be changed to handle multiple fields so that multiple inserts can be done.. Can the domain object be coded as an array type. or how the coding needs to be done..I am using JPA

Need help regarding text field

Hi ,
I have a text field in my form which will contains a numeric value.Based on this value i have to show those many text fields to enter the name.
I have tried this code by keeping the texfield in a sub form and try to display subform using instance manager .see the below script.
Textfield.NewState.presence="visible";
var oSubform = xfa.resolveNode("form1.Page1.Textfield");
oSubform.instanceManager.setInstances(3);
form1.Page1.Textfield.instanceManager.addInstance();
but this code is not working.
Please help me!!

you can't use the instanceManager for a TextField.. your oSubform should represents a Subform not a TextField
you can use instanceManager only for containers such as rows and subforms

Help to get text objects in ABAP

Hi guys!
I've created my first report program and need some help to get text objects into the report. The program combines the tables KNA1, LIKP, LIPS, VBAK, VBAP and VBKD to create a deliverylist which we import as excel info a shipping service. The issue at hand is that our website allows customers to change the ship-to party's address when creating an order. The adress are not updated to KNA1, but are comitted as a text on the ship-to on the delivery itself.
The text I need in the report is RV50A-TXTWE.
Can you help me get going on how to add this from the delivery?

Your problem is that its a structure. Structures are filled in a program and no longer exist after the program is closed. They are temporary data. It will have been moved to tables somewhere most likely. The next step is to debug / trace through the code to find out what was done with it.
What program were you using that created the structure?

Please Help: Problem - Combining database fields in a text object

Thank you for viewing my thread and any helpful feedback you may provide. I am having trouble with the "Combining database fields in a text object" tutorial in the Help under: Quick Start\Quick Start for new users\Combining database fields in a text object.
After following the steps and previewing, I see the last name, first name stacked on top of each other in preview and design view. I don't know why this is happening. Can anyone point me in the right direction so the text is displayed the same way as it is in the Help?

Hi,
I don't think the field is actually in the text object but just stacked on top of it.
When you double-click on the text object, you the cursor should be inside it now. Is the database field in there? If not, then you can drag and drop it into the text object where you want it to go.
You will know if it's going in because the edit cursor will show you where in the text object it will drop.
The other way to do it is to drop the database field on the report somewhere and copy it to the clipboard and paste it into the text object.

Need help regarding converting text to Lines and Arcs.

In my program i have text.Lets say the text is JAVA.
Now i need to group that text(JAVA) in the form of line and arcs.
Its like organizing lines and arcs and make it looks like a text(JAVA).
Can we have such a possibilities to do that?

Purchase Order Text Object missing in Transcation VOTXN

Hi Experts
I want Purchase Order Text Object in Transction VOTXN, for that Referring SAP Note 75144 - EKKO EKPO entries should be in table TFRM, if these two entries are missing, using the solution contained in Note 524453 to generate the missing entries in the table TFRM, run program RV80INCTFRM. I run that program too but still am not able to see purchase order text in Tcode VOTXN.
Please help me on this....

The note Note 524453 - Purchasing text determination is not transported mentions that you need to run program RV80HGEN after RV80INCTFRM. Did you run this program? What is your SAP version? Did you also check other notes provided in 524453?

Each text is maintained in Text id's, so you can ask your abaper to pick up the date from that text id and store it in a Ztable, then copy or import the same in ECC6.0 version and update at customer level.

Text Object Error in Pdf based print forms

Hello Friends,
I am trying to include a text object in Adobe PDF-based print form.
In the context, I have created a node for the text. I chose the Text Type as Include Text. I am able to choose the required Text Object and Text ID from the respective search helps. When trying to activate the form, I am getting an error saying that I did not specify a text name. I tried to rectify this error but could not do so.
Please help me out on how to rectify this error.

There is no need of activation for standard text... save will do...
Also note: standard text is client dependent... you need to attach to your transport request manually to move between clients...

need help for finding objects impacted by size change
for xxx infoobject, due to some requirements, the size to be changed from
char(4) to char(10), in the source database tables as well as adjustment
to be done in BI side.
this infoobject xxx is nav attribute of YYY as well as for WWW
infoobjects. and xxx is loaded from infopkg for www infoobject load.
now that i have to prepare an impact analysis doc for BI side.
pls help me with what all could be impacted and what to be done as a
solution to implement the size change.

Hi Swetha,
You will have to manually make the table adjustments in all the systems using SE14 trans since the changes done using SE14 cannot be collected in any TR.
How to adjust tables :
Enter the table name in SE14. For ex for any Z master data(Say ZABCD), master data table name would be /BIC/PZABCD, text table would be /BIC/TZABCD. Similarly any DSO(say ZXYZ) table name would be /BIC/AZXYZ00 etc.
Just enter the table name in SE14 trans --> Edit --> Select the radio button "Save Data" --> Click on Activate & adjust database table.
NOTE : Be very careful in using SE14 trans since there is possibility that the backend table could be deleted.
How to collect the changes in TR:
You can collect only the changes made to the IO --> When you activate, it will ask you for the TR --> Enter the correct package name & create a new TR. If it doesn't prompt you for TR, just goto Extras --> Write transport request from the IO properties Menu screen. Once these IO changes are moved successfully, then the above proceduce can be followed using SE14 trans.
