Help required to find a simple htm editor for mac

Can you please help recommend a simple htm editor for mac?
Thank you.

You could use TextEdit, which comes with all Macs, TextWrangler, or Smultron (no longer in development); all of these are free.

  • Would really like a simple sound editor for my BB Curve

I've been using my BB for a few weeks now and, so far, really like it. The one software that I would REALLY like find is a simple sound editor for my BB. I would like to be able create short audio recordings (using either the voice recorder or other application) and create just a clip of that file (not the entire file) so that I can post them, directly from my BB, to either facebook or my blog. This is very simple to do when audio is transferred to the desktop but I would like to be able to do this from my BB.
    Any ideas? Thanks.

I checked out the PortableApps page and it appears as if that allows me to install some type of data on my BB which can then be run on other computers but not on the BB itself - is that correct?
You are correct. The principle of a PortableApp application is to be put on a USB stick, and then can be used on any desktop or laptop computer without being installed. You have put it on the memory card of your blackberry, it enables you to use it on any computer you plug your Blackberry into.
Concerning a sound editor in Blackberry, I don't know.

  • The best Latex Editor for MAC

What is the best Latex editor for Mac ? I'm looking for a suitable alternative to MacTex - either Commercial or freeware.

    andy8,
there are quite a few “integrated” solutions, combining editor and pdf preview (the very fine TeXShop being one of them) -- some of them are quite new (even beta); TeXShop, on the other hand, is very mature:
    TeXPad:
    http://vallettaventures.com/texpad
    Latexian:
    http://tacosw.com/latexian/
    TeXnicle:
    http://www.bobsoft-mac.de/texnicle/texnicle.html
    Scribo:
    http://www.scriboapp.com/
Texmaker (cross-platform, qt-based; all the others are OS X native):
    http://www.xm1math.net/texmaker/index.html
You can also check the entries, and the comments, on Macupdate:
    http://www.macupdate.com/find/mac/latex
That said, I use none of them, although I have TeXShop around. (This doesn’t mean the new integrated solutions aren’t any good; I haven’t tried them yet.)
That’s because what’s most important, imho, in a good LaTeX environment is the editor, i.e., how much help is there to get the source written. Accordingly, many people would agree that the best editor available plus a fine synchronised, but stand-alone pdf viewer is superior than a (compromising, or so the musing goes) all-in-one tool.
The, hands-down, best pdf viewer, supporting PDFSync (syncing source and pdf), is Skim; it’s free:
    http://skim-app.sourceforge.net/
As regards the best editor, there is constant disagreement among OS X users, some would even say “war” -- but that just shows how vivid the Mac ecosphere is when it comes to such tools.
Leaving the “classics” aside, Emacs (Aquamacs, http://aquamacs.org/) and Vim (Macvim, http://code.google.com/p/macvim/), dreaded for their learning curve, worshipped for their power, two of the best, modern, clean, yet powerful editors are TextMate and Sublime Text 2:
    http://macromates.com/
    helpful: http://www.astrobetter.com/how-and-why-to-use-textmate-for-latex/
    http://www.sublimetext.com/2
    helpful: http://tekonomist.wordpress.com/2011/03/25/the-in-progress-latex-plugin-for-subl ime-text-2-4/
Many would hold that the combination of either TextMate (2) or Sublime Text 2 together with Skim provides the best LaTeX environment ever.
    Take care.

  • How do I install Netgear XE102 on my iMac?  It will not install off of the cd provided it appears to be only for Windows based computers.  Checked Netgear website and could not find a setup.exe file for Mac.

Unable to install Netgear XE102 on my iMac.  Checked Netgear website and could not find a setup.exe file for Mac.

That means either no software needs to be installed on a Mac or the product is incompatible with Macs. Contact NetGear tech support for help.

  • Object Oriented Programming - help required to find training material

    Hi,
I am working in ABAP for 4 years. I did not get any chance to work in OOPs concept.
However I know how to create classes, methods and how to access methods and attributes of class inside the report program and I hope apart from these we are having many things to learn OOPs ABAP.
Can anyone help me to find OOPs training materials with examples?
    Thanks

    Hi Colleen,
This is to inform you that, I am not expecting SCN or anyone to spoon feed me. I believe in IT industry Spoon feeding is not going to help in long time to survive. I am also using google, scn, sap technical.com and so many sites for my queries and learning. Please remember I am working in IT for long. Why should I expect people to spoon feed me.
I have posted this question, because already many people might have searched and got some good and best articles with examples. So by believing that I will get good articles from the experts I have posted, but not for spoon feeding.
I agree that whatever you have pointed in this post are good suggestion, but please before answering to such issues, please think in which situation they are seeking other's help.
Everyone's time is very precious. So I will not waste anyone's time and I will not waste my time too. I am not here to raise any concern on anyone. I just needed some help and got from the experts too.
Instead of making this discussion to grow further, kindly close this here itself or remove this thread. I did not expect such sort of communication for asking the best training material for learning OOPs ABAP.
    Thanks

  • Print Studio Pro plugin is not compatible with Photoshop Elements 12 Editor for Mac

It appears that the latest version of Print Studio Pro PlugIn is not compatible with the Editor version of Photoshop Elements 12 for Mac as available on the App store.  The install gives an error saying that it did not find a supported version of Photoshop Elements. This error has been reported before for Elements version 12 but was reportedly fixed in the latest version of Print Studio Pro. Now it appears that this version may support Elements 12 for Mac but not the Editor only version from the app store. Any suggestions for work-around on this?

"Any suggestions for work-around on this?"
    No!
Not untill Mac and Adobe and Canon get their collective acts together.  Mac (Apple) has the bad habit of upgrading their stuff and not being forthcoming with the particulars given to 3rd party companies like Canon and Adobe.
Besides the cost difference of Mac's the compatibility issues are it's worst features.
    EOS 1Ds Mk III, EOS 1D Mk IV EF 50mm f1.2 L, EF 24-70mm f2.8 L,

  • Finding a webcam that works for mac os x 10.3.9

i have one of those really old macs that are colorful.
but the system is mac os x 10.3.9 & i do not have a built in webcam
i cant find any that will work for such an early model.
    help?

Well there's a few definitive lists on the Skype knowledgebase and forums:
    http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=69289
There is a better list, but I don't have the link, it's been posted in the Apple Discussions more times than I can count.
I used a Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX Plus, but many have used others successfully.
Before you start spending money, there are two things to realise:
    - Your old iMac probably only has USB v1, which severely limits the amount of video and audio (if you get one with a mic) of uncompressed data that can be streamed back to your iMac. For USB v1, devices drawing their power over the USB cable are limited to 4Mbit/s, or 500Kb/s. At say 20 frames per second you can see how poor the image is going to be. Remember the video isn't compressed (for internet transmission say) until it gets back to your computer. Which leads us to secondly,
    - If your iMac is a G3, or a slow G4, the CPU may lack the grunt to encode 320x240 video at 20fps, never mind what you manage with USB.
I'm not trying to put you off, but it's not going to be fast full-screen perfect quality video like I get from my 2MP firewire camera and encoded on my Mac Pro.

  • Where to find Genuine Fractals 3.5 for Mac anymore?

    HI,
I'm a freelance illustrator working a lot with Photoshop CS.... running OSX 3.9.
I'm wondering where previous versions of Genuine Fractals 3.5 might be found?
I looked around the GF home page and couldn't find any links.
Where would one go to find such a thing?
I don't need to update the rest of my computer system, but wish I could get the older version of GF.
    Thanks for any clues...
    John Nez
    www.johnnez.com

    Thanks.
But I'm still wondering where one would go about finding a legitimate copy of Genuine Fractals 3.5 for Panther?
I'm finding more and more software companies simply abandon the software that will ONLY run on Panther... and leave the only available option to consumers to buy a new $3000 Mac Pro to run the new software.  For instance with browser software, only Camino will reliably run on my computer anymore.  All the rest require a new computer to actually work properly.
Meanwhile, my Powermac (which also cost $3000) is perfectly useful with many years of life left in it.
But back to my question... is there anyone who still sells the Genuine Fractals 3.5 for Mac I wonder?
    Thanks!

  • What's the best freeware image editor for Mac OS X 10.5.5?

    Hi.
I noticed Mac OS X 10.5.5 doesn't come with an image editor (mainly for photographs) like Microsoft Windows' simple MS Paint (and free Irfanview to download and use). Are there similiar ones for Mac OS X? I was going to get Paint.net, but it has no Mac support. Gimp is nice but too complex and bloated. And yes, I did a Google search but got too many hits.
    Thank you in advance.

Takes about 9 seconds till it's ready to do from the moment I click the dock icon, but from that point onwards it's as fast as anything else I've used.
I love both the app and the price.
Hmm, I will try again. Which native Mac OS X port do you recommend? I see a bunch now compared what I saw one in the past.
You can download the source and compile, but there are also Leopard binaries available for slightly less new versions.
Actually 2.6.1 has just been released
    http://www.gimp.org/
but the most recent binary for OS-X is here
    http://darwingimp.sourceforge.net/
Mine runs with the version of X11 that comes with Leopard.
And BTW, the latest version of fink for Leopard is great. Much better interface and much easier to install, update and maintain.
Thanks. I am surprised there are no native ports still.

  • Batch editor for Mac?

Can someone suggest to me a good html batch editor for the Mac? "Find and Replace" is not doing the job and I've got hundreds of html's to edit.

TextMate and BBedit are generally considered the two best text editors for HTML. Give them a look
